I feel cheated by hathway broadband. My story goes like this.

My hathway plan(Account number 1159025) had validity till 01st april 2016 (--screenshot1 attached--). I started getting messages from hathway since 24th mar 2016 asking me to renew the account to enjoy uninterrupted service. On 29th mar, i got a msg from hathway saying that i will get extra 20gb if i renew my account (For 3 or more months) by making the payment on the same day(--screenshot2 attached--). I called up customer service to confirm the same and asked when the 20 gb will get credited. They replied that it will get credited during the first month. They explicitly told me that i will get 45 gb the first month and 25 gb during the consequent 2 months. So i recharged my account with rs 2793(3 month plan) on 29th march(--screenshot3 attached--).

On 12th april, i got the msg from hathway telling i have crossed the fair usage limit and hence the speed has been downgraded. I called up customer care and checked with them regarding the extra 20 gb i'm entitled for. They said they will take up the request to activate it. The request numbers are 16465865, 16465178,[protected]screenshot4 attached--). The requests were cancelled two days later without resolving it.

I called up customer care again on 16th april (Customer care agent -waseem). He assured me that the 20gb would be credited before 8 pm the same day. Around 6 pm, i got a call from hathway telling its not extra 20 gb i'm entitled for, but extra 20 days of validity. I made it clear to them that i did the recharge on 29 march for 20 gb and not 20 days validity. They told they will get back to me on that. I got no response for the next three hours and i called up the customer care again, only to a new surprise from mr, shabaz that since i made the payment on 29th march, my plan cycle started from 29th mar and not from april 2nd (The day my previous plan expired). This is totally ridiculous, the validity should get extended and not overlapped.

Of all, i still have not received the 20 gb yet and half the month is already over. It is really tiring and frustrating to take so much pain to get what you are paying for.

Please do the needful as soon as possible or i will be forced to take legal action against hathway for cheating and inconvenience.

    The internet plan was sold to us on 02nd april 2016 stating the internet connectivity shall start within a week time however there is no action or setup done by the gtpl team. I have been following with the salesman - mr. Dharmendra brahmbhatt and mr. Kushal bhatt and every time they respond like they even don't know the caller.
    Its been 2 weeks now and there is no sign of getting our internet connection and negative response received from pathetic salesman.

        Incident :
        I have taken a home broadband connection from Hathway in Nov 2015. They promised 50Mbps speed till 25GB and later on full utilization it will drop to 1Mbps. I never got speed above 1 Mbps except once or twice when it went up to 7Mbps. I complained multiple times but they kept saying that there were some system challenges and last mile problems and they are in the process of fixing it. In the meanwhile my renewal of 3 months came up. Hathway requested that I go for a higher plan as my usage was more (genuinely so). I complained about the speed I get and hence would make no difference whatever plan I go for. They promised to resolve the issue. SO I made the payment with a higher plan of 50Mbps speed till 50GB and later on full utilization it will drop to 1Mbps. Post this it was a nightmare. I had phones continuously coming from them for payment though I had made it. If I called the call center they said that it was an error in the system and I need not worry. They would give me a complain number and the next day it would automatically close the ticket without any resolution. Twice I had the payment guys reaching out an making statements like "We are coming to collect the money, keep the cheque/cash ready". The speed issue was not getting resolved and on top of it I had people calling me for making payments which I had already made.
        Desirable Resolution:
        I need my connection services delivered as per the package. Since for the past 5 months I have never got what i paid for I need Hathway to extend the service for the next 6 months free of cost.

          Sir,

          My account no. Is [protected]. I have subscribed for 50mbps 75 gb unlimited pack. From day one you have not been able to provide me the speed for which i have paid to you. I am making a complaint daily with your customer care.

          The service of hathway broadband is the worst. Yesterday, when i was speaking to your representative, i was told that whenever i face any problem, i should switch off the router for 5 minutes. To my querry that is anybody else in hathway incompetent as no body in the last 10 days had not told this thing to me, he could not reply.
          Today, one parveen, engineer visitted my residence and changed the router. The speed at that time was 48.5 at around 7.45pm. However, when i checked the speed again, this was as under:

          10.56 pm 1.41
          11.14 pm 10.55
          11.23 pm 3.22

          The above speed is on 14.4.2016. It is really disgusting that i am getting this speed against a payment of 50mbps.

          I have everything on record with me. All the complaints are recorded and saved.

          If hathways incompetent to provide me the speed for which i have paid, i need my money back. I have not paid for a tension to me daily.

            Hi,
            Though my previous complaint is open, I'm going to submit a new request about the Internet instability & speed issue.

            I had already filed a complaint regarding this but there was no resolution from the provider end.

            Again I had a worst reply by local service engineer, I don't know what they think about customers but let me clear one thing is that, his job must be customer support notching else.

            I've just renewed my Internet plan just before a week and my plan is having 512kbps to 2Mbps speed multiplier. I'm using this plan since last 7-8 months but I never reached or got 2Mbps speed at night. I also informed the customer care for multiple times about the same and they did their duty by filed my complaint but no one had came to resolve the issue and since yesterday night I'm checking my internet speed and today I found it as 0.99Mbps.

            Service Engineers say that this will be happened at your location and we are helpless, so do your own whatever you can do from your end.

            This is really disgusting, please resolve my issue as soon as possible and also check the attached snapshots.

              Pathetic attitude from hathway customer service. These guys downgraded my speed from 50 mbps to less than 1 mbps because i had reached my fup. Upon paying for top up plan of rs. 52/ 10gb immediately, these guys take their own sweet time to merely activate the plan. Happened in march as well, and then they took a whole week to activate. Same game they're playing this month as well, not activating despite repeated calls. Customer reps are clueless. Only blame another department, and asking to wait 4 hrs or end of day each time i call them. Will be filing a case with consumer court soon.

                  I have opted for hathway broadband prepaid service and was using the internet for quite sometime. I have recharged my account for 30gb 50mbps plan (30 days validity) in february. But my account has been deactivate within 10 days of the recharge. When i contacted the customer care, they told me that my connection has been converted to postpaid and i have to pay the bill amount of rs.3502.

                  I have argued with them that how can they migrate my connection to postpaid without my confirmation and the recharge for 30gb could become elapsed. But there is no proper response from customer care till now.

                  I have already raised 4 complaints to customer care regarding this. All the complaints are closed without resolving the issue. I am just receiving sms saying that issue is fixed !!!

                  I am still receiving bills every month for deactivated account :(

                      My Internet is not working from past 10 days.I have called customer care for multiple times but still my issue is not resolved.Every time I call customer care they say issue will get resolved within 24 hours but no action is taken in that 24 hours.None of the technical guys have even bothered to call me for problem I am facing.Really pathetic service from Hathaway.Now they are also not refunding my money back for cancelling internet.Customer care guys are saying problem is with your modem none of technical guys have visited to my place.for replacing the modem.

                        Hathway broadband (Hyderabad)bulfing the customers.I have subscribed new internet connection(Account no:[protected]) and they offered me a free wifi router (For paying 3 months bill as package)they said that complete installation with in 24 hours but from 8days they not done wifi router installation.Till now i have complained to hathway customer care but till now their is no output from their.

                        I was fed up with their service and cheating me.

                        So, kindly please take a legal action on it(Hathway broadband).

                        Iam having every call recordings of them for proof.

                        Worst network till now i used.

                        Blaming us with a offers and cheating.

                          Most pathetic broadband service ever. This is not about connection speed but regarding my Money Back. My Complain number: 16160130. Customer care people are full of dumb AH only. They don't know the solution except keep you on hold for long if possible they can make you on hold all the day, they are quite expert on it because their supervisor trained them like this way only how to torture to the customers who are asking refund for their own money.

                          Specially Mr. Zikriya from so called escalation team promised me so many things but at last same result. No update no call back. And again if I am calling to the customer care and asking for Zikriya then again as usual i am on day long hold. Today 11th April i called 3 times. First i spoke with Sanjukta, then Aslam then Saif all are "beep beep", they kept me on hold individually for more han 15 minutes saying the call is getting transfer to the big AH Zikriya very soon. But Mr. Zikrya is busy may be cleaning his manager's. So Mr. Zikrya once you are done with your cleaning job please get back to me.

                          Now come to the Billing team. As per last update (I forgot the date actually, may be 3 weeks before), my case is pending from Billing department. Now my question is what billing team is doing with my money ? Very sorry to say, are you feeding your family with the interest that you are getting by blocking my money? Really let me know if i can help you with some charity foundation. hey can help you very nicely.

                          Doing business is good but with such kind of AH people is not at all good. Rest you know better. If you are also a part of sharing my interest money for feeding your family than I have nothing to do requesting you. Else look after this matter and solve it and stop humiliating customers like this.

                            Every other day network is down in the afternoon and when we call in call center they have one common answer that due to technical issue it will be solved by next day first half, and further to our insistance on work on the issue on urgent basis executive disconnect the call.. Hathways call centre team really sucks they are just there to fool customer.

                              My user id in hathway is 1589195. Everyday the link is down from 1pm to 7pm. When complained, we always get a standard answer that it will take 24 hours to recover. We took the connection so that we can work from home but due to the link down daily, it's not possible. We have to use Tata Docomo 3G dongle which is much much better because it doesn't go off in between like Hathway during meetings. Very bad service. We are stuck with 3 months package else we would have changed the service provider long time back. Request others not to get cheated like us. I will post all the details and call records soon on social network.

                              The net usage by us is low as we just started the plan of 3 months net of 15 gb unlimited and we got a message by the company that we have used 100%. I just cant understand how its possible that the plan got over within a month.
                              I request you to give details of the usage of net as early as possible.

                                  The complaint is regarding the gtpl internet connection's slow speed and worthless service. My user id is pmshukla35 . My plan is 10 mbps for 12 months and since i installed and bought the plan that day hence the speed is not anywhere near 10 mbps the speed is too slow even i[censored]ser buys 2 mbps plan. Also they are not at all responding the complaints well as if none of it is their concern. They are not even trying to get us a solution and money spent is totally wasted. Ultimately i have also spent money for registering complain and calls i need to make to register complain. They assure us for sending technician or fixing the complaint within next 24 hours which has never occur to this day. On one specific call the receiver from call center pretended/discussed problem to supervisor which in turn again assured to send technician before 7 pm that specific day which again turned to be a false assurance. Also long ago when a technician did visit for fixing complaint he did tell there is problem and mistake while joining the fiber optic cable which results in my slow speed. He again assured me for its fixing in next 2-3 days which i suspect is still not fixed.

                                    On 25/03/2016, i have paid Rs. 1935/-to Hathway Datacom being 3 months charges for providing 24/7 Internet service to my residence. But from that date i.e.25/03/2016, they have failed to provide me the service. So on 02/04/2016 i surrendered their Modem and Adaptor to their Tardeo office against their GRN No. 233930 dt.02/04/2016. Before surrendering I have made following complaints to them but till date there is no response from them. I have asked for full refund of Rs.1935/- as there is deficiency in service.

                                      Hi, my account id for hathway is # [protected]. I've requested for a shift of connection on 29th march via call to the customer centre and they said that they have taken the request. However we didn't receive any sms/email stating the same. I called back on 1st april and found out that the previous rep did not open any ticket, so i opened a ticket 01042016w0668-1 however they've closed the ticket on 3rd april stating that service has been provided. I've called back on the same day asking them why they've closed the ticket without shifting the connection, they've mentioned that they've reopened the ticket and someone would call us in the next few hours. However, i've been calling hathway everyday for the last 5 days and each rep tells me that they've escalated the issue to their manager and that a technician would contact us. But not a single person has contacted us. Today i've called them again and after 20 mins of conversation the rep tells me that they could not provide the connection to my locality. My concern is why did they kept on making me wait for 10 days when they could not provide the connection, i'd need the refund of my money that i've paid for as i've opted for 3 months plan, however the rep tells me to go to a location to ask for my refund and that it cannot be done online. Why is this the case? When asking for a connection they've come and collected the money. However why should i go to a far off location and not get my money online or at my home? Also, why did it take all the reps 10 days to inform me that they cannot provide connection at this location? Why is it that despite of calling you people each day why did no manager or any authoritative person did not observe the repetitive scenario and informed me of the situation. How can such a reputed company have such a pathetic service? How can the representatives of your team be so irresponsible? This is the ticket they provided me when i've asked for connection cancellation as they cannot provide me one at my new address # 03042016w0437. Please look into this and find out how your representatives acted irresponsibly and provide me a resolution in getting my money refunded as no service is been provided to me. Thanks for nothing as i've wasted hours of my time each day talking to a new rep with no zeal to provide any resolution to the customer with a complaint as i've had to explain the same scenario to each rep every day.Kindly let me know when and how would i get my money back?

                                        I got new connection of Hathway Broadband on 29th Jan, 2016. Since that time I am getting very poor service from the company. The executives at the Call centres are totally non-professional. The Nodal office - Sikander Ali doesn't even bother to reply to customer emails and when I called him, he doesn't even have answers to my queries. I have lodged 'n' number of complaints regarding the disconnections and speed issues, however after resloving the issue, the internet only works fine for few days.
