Updated by harresh I had a Hathway internet connection @ my Res in Charkop, which I renewed around 14th July 2015 for 3 months payment made was 3464.00. CUSTOMER ID : 1194239
For some reason I had to shift & I bought a new flat at Vishwadeep Heights, KT Soni marg, Off Link Road, Mahavir Nagar, Kandivile west.
i asked the lady who called for renewal on 12th July that i am shifting on 20th July, she asked me to renew the account for normal 3 months as previous renewal as internet account is transferable & it will be shifted to the new address, accordingly my internet was disconnected at my Charkop home address from 19th July & i was told my internet in Mahavir nagar would commence in 2-3 working days, finally after one week a person from Hatway who cmae to make the connections said : that account cannot be activated in this particular Building as Hathway connection is not available. i was advised to surrender my account, modem, router etc for a refund.
I had my Modem & Router surrendered on July 25th 2015 for refund of deposit & refund o[censored]nused Internet Plan, I was asked to wait for one month.
I received a CHQ from Hathway but only for refund of deposit paid on Modem / Router I did not receive refund of My renewed Internet account which I have not utilized
When your person called for renewal around July 12th I asked him if my Hathway account was transferable as I was looking for a new house already, I was told a big YES, I reconfirmed my new area is Mahavir Nagar & building is Vishwadeep heights in Mahavir Nagar again the answer was yes, so I went for 3 month renewal in July else I would have taken a smaller plan for the 15 days at my old Location.
The shifting address was communicated to the person who called for renewal & the same was confirmed when your person collected the cheque & I had asked for internet to be disconnected at old address effective 20th july & give me the connection at Mahavir Nagar from 21st july.
It is when your person who came here to make the connections at Vishwadeep Heights said that Hathway cable is not possible in this building & advised me to surrender the account, Modem, Router & I was told full refund will be given less usage from 12 July to 21 july.
Sir it is your problem [ hathway] I have not offered to close my account it is hathway that is not providing me service on my account to my new address & hence I don’t ACCEPT nor EXPECT an answer we won’t refund. Sorry you will have to refund me unutilized proportioned amount as you don’t have service particularly in my new building you should not have collected my renewal of RS: 3454.00 in that case.
If your sales people are not aware of certain exceptions of area it is not my problem I AGAIN REPEAT I HAVE NOT CLOSED MY ACCOUNT BUT SINCE YOU DO NOT HAVE SERVICE IN VISHWADEEP HEIGHTS YOUR OFFICE HAS ASKED ME TO SURRENDER THE CONNECTION & TAKE REFUND, THIS SURE IS DEFICIENCY OF SERVICE AT YOUR END M/S HATHWAY.
I AM MAKING A SIMPLE & POLITE REQUEST REFUND ME MY PAYMENT AT THE EARLIEST, MY DOORS ARE OPEN FOR FURTHER ESCALATION WHICH I DON’T WANT TO GET INTO.
