i have been using my internet service from hathway internet for almost 2 years now .
this particular complaint i made is in regards to the horrible connectivity i get using the internet service that this company provides .
i have been using their service from a long time , and now all of a sudden from past 5-6 months , their problems are increasing as days pass . they have all sorts of problems server crashes , server problems , server maintenance , server downtime
their customer care executives are dumb as hell , they are like the perfect sitting ova there !
i happened to use their service , for a decent 1 mbps connection they charge me 1200 rs , which by far isnt less or affordable much as today many ISPs provide this at a cheaper price . the good thing that kept me to hathway internet was that their downlaods on sundays arent counted , u can download to u r free will as much as u want
from past 1-2 months , unfortunately this isnt happening , i am nt even getting a promised speed of like 80% of 1mbps , i m merely getting a surfing speed of 0.11 mbps and downlaod speed , well don't ask , its worst than a dial up connection !
also many a times the login facility of hathway doesn't work well , u get stuck on the screen for minutes with out any reason
this is by far the most crappiest internet connection i ever had , i have been using home internet from past 7 yrs now ! this is the master of all in providing u , no wait , not providing u , it is the master of all in fooling you after you take a internet connection , i made this complaint , and the site took a whooping 8 seconds to open , imagine the horrendous download speeds now
my personal recommendation : stay away from hathway as much as u can , even if they happen to give u attractive schemes , forget it , half the days of the month the service doesnt work , rest of the days , it works but at the worst speeds , i stay in pune and i have many other ISPs available for an option over here , time to switch ! hathway , please close down your service u are nothing but the most ISP in the whole country !
i have no words to describe how much conned i m feeling right now , i had my patience whenever they gave excuses i listened to them and gave a chance , but its over now , i cant resist this BS anymore ! from past 5-6 months i have just been promised of a decent speed , and in the end , it still is the same , and to top it all they charge 1200 rs ,
please any one reading this , never ever take an internet connection from hathway no matter where u stay , try BSNL , airtel or other services

Hathway is meant for corporate users and not for individual, second they check their feasibility to provide the local area where you resides. whenever they think that in your locality there is no more business aspects they discontinue or forfeit there present customers facility. so don't bother about their rude behavior. Just stop wondering towards them and take MTNL's or BSNL's TriBand or DataOne service respectively, it will definitely fulfill your requirements. The only way to discourage Hathway is kick-off their membership or subscription and encourage other ISPs (except Airtel Broadband and Tata Indicom).
I had some recurring problems in my connectivity and I had made complaints. They promised to send people but failed. They asked me to go to the local branch and I did so. They said that I had just one complaint placed the previous day and that the problem would be solved. It didn't. Which means that the call center people have failed to register my complaints earlier, or are avoiding in order to tell me that it is me who is at fault.
No one picks up the phone at the call centre and it is so made up. The wait time is always 26 seconds and after 3 minutes the phone automatically disconnects. In fact I have spent more money on their IVR than calling up my parents.
On wanting to disconnect, they offer me no refund since it is a pre-paid account, but would take away their modem since that was free. Now, I am not using the internet, and I cannot disconnect too! This nonsense is mentioned nowhere in the receipts bills I have received for my connectivity.
In india I guess customer service has a long way to go. We are left at the mercy of these unprofessional services who promise the world but squeeze you once you are in.
I want a refund as I hacve hardly used 1/7th of my limit and I am unable to use the rest.
Hathway — poor internet connection, and service
Hi,Never go for hathway internet connection, poor customer service.
Their technical people don't have any knowledge to fix a problem when the problem arises.
I have got a network connection from hathway for about 15days back of 128 kbps unlimited plan.
The network was very slow, i was getting less than 20kbps speed. after 5 days suddenly there was some problem in the signal so i was not getting any signal for the network, i have given a compliant and so called "technical people" are still working. still it is not resolved( it is almost 10 days is over), every day i call the Customer case thy say it will be fixed by today. I have called at least some 30 times in this 10 days to get this resolved, still not resolved.
So what i want to say is:
hathway is cheaper.. but if we calculate the no of days the network works and the amount of money we spend on the calling customer care, it will be "double costlier" than that of the tata indicom/ airtel's cost.
This is what i have learned about Hathway.
So please avoid Hathway, otherwise you will experience the same.
Can any body tell me what is the process to complain the same to consumer forum.

Problem and file sending problem
I was using one hathway connection in Bangalore. I wanted to shift it to my new place and called
59 times to customer care. Eachtime they say by end of next day they will shift my connection.
It had been 1.5 month. Still nothing!!
I want to escalate the matter to their superior. Does anybody know any nodal officer or area manager's
mail id ? This is actually offense and very much non-professional behave !!!
Hathway — NOT GIVING REFUND OF DISCONNECTION
I START MY SERVICES ON[protected] BUT I CANT GOT PROPER SERVICES FROM HATWAY FROM THE FIRST DAY OF THE SERVICES I SEND APPLICATION FOR CLOSE MY CONECTION IN THE MONTH JUNE 2010 BUT THAT TIME EXECUTIVE GIVE COMMITEMENT THAT WE SOLVE PROBLEM IN FEW DAYS BUT NOT ANY IMPROVEMENT SO FINALLY EXECUTIVE TELL THAT U CLOSE THE CONNECTTION BCS WE CANT GIVE U PROPER SOLUTION SO I SEND AGAIN APPLICATION FOR CLOSE THE CONNECTION DUE TO NON CAPABLITY OF HATWAY TO GIVE SERVICES TO CUSTOMER ON 20TH AUG. STILL THAT DAY I CANT GOT MY REFUND PAYMENT. I PAY 5400 FOR 12 MONTHS SO PLZ HELP ME IN THIS MATTER ASAP
