I had taken Hathway Internet connection in the name of Anoop Kumar Sharma on 30May 2011 at the below residence:
B-204, Manasi Apartment,
Vijay Park,near Amber Plaza,
Mira Road (East),
Mumbai - 400017.
My account number with hathway was: 758985.
I decided to cancel the connection and accordingly mailed them about it on 30th July2011.
Repeated calls to the helpdesk gave poor response and no satisfactory answer regarding discontinue service.
i got a call from them on 30 Aug 11 and said to submit the modem to miraroad center.I visited there and they asked me to submit Aug bill which i never used.Now They send me Sep bill also.
I was not using their service since 30th July 2011,so why they send me bill for the same.I do not know to whom i call.Please let me know what should i do.

    Since July, 2011 I have been trying to get my broadband account renewed. However, inspite of repeated emails and telephone calls, I have failed to get a response from Hathway Broadband Service. As this service involves an intial fixed investment in a modem and cabling, I will have to shell out this money again to change my provider.

      i am mr nikhil jain having internet connection a/c bo.259584 with hathway ,=
      .last renewed on dec,2010 for next 12 month and paid advance for the same.
      since july,2011 i having problem of non conectivity of net and i had compai=
      nt for the same to hathway and they have solved next day, again after 3-4 d=
      ays same non-onectivity problem occured same thing repeated. at presently ,=
      sice approx.25 days i have connected only for 3-4 days for few hours in di=
      fferent day. now presently my complaint is registered but i am still unabl =
      to use the service even i have paid for the same . i mailed my complaint th=
      rough email but still not replied. i have asked them to give detail and reu=
      est to=A0refund the amount for further balane period=A0if they are unable t=
      o give connectivity but no any reply fron them. and when i called to their =
      lower parel office the call receiver =A0replied they will not paid anything=
      even they are unable to give connectivity and there is technicaal problem =
      whuch we are tryeing to solve. i asked when it will solved he said tine the=
      y will not know.
      now=A0 i feel that i have cheated by them and feel helpless as no proper re=
      ply given by them on call and not telling for refund.

      hathway internet broadband — unavailability of service more than 12 hours a day

      Hathway is one of the most un-professional and low profile broadband service profider. i have been using their services for last 3 months in Mayur Vihar Phase I area and everyday it's common to see service breakdowns.

      Today is continuously the fourth day when i had no access to the internet for more than 10 hours continuously. i have spend hundreds of rupees calling their call centers but there is no strict action on the recurring problem. I do not even have an option to escala the problem to their management level since CC executives never allow me any such contact information.

      Any of the technicians available at the samachar apartment seem to be professional, trained/educated and on duty during even day time. It is my sheer badluck that we don't have Airtel serving in my locality else i would have never gone into traps of this non-sense ISP.

      The worst part of it is that Hathway do not even have a power backup solution in place in it's service points where they server so many customers. even if customer have power backup at home he'll loose connection over internet. this is rediculous and they charge bigh money for this service!!!

      Now they seek public fund to support their unprofessional work culture and nowhere to go strategy to serve customers. why would i buy a share for them??
      I think unprofessional, uncaring, immature... on the way to extinction would be the right expression.I wish someone could help them out.

        Are you planning to change your ISP? You will find many ISPs in the market. However, don't ever consider Hathway (www.hathway.com), because you will regret. This company was once a good ISP, but now it is a lousy ISP run by liars and cheats.

        I have a 512 kbps unlimited plan, but it seems like a 128 kbps plan. Instead of getting a download speed of 50-55 kbps, I get a lousy speed that fluctuates between 10 and 30 kbps on average. Imagine my pain and suffering, as I wait for a file to finish downloading or a video to load.

        This company did not have a FUP in the beginning. It was nice, but one fine day, the cheaters just introduced this FUP without even informing me. Even when I renewed the plan, the dogs at the office didn't inform me of this change in their plan. Only on Sundays, can the customer download as much as he/she wants. This pathetic company should at least ensure that the customer gets a good, stable speed. I think about downloading a 200 MB file on a Sunday, and it takes 4 hours to finish when it should technically take only an hour and a half. But I don't get 50+ kbps, only 10-30 kbps.

        Even now as I write this complaint out of frustration, I am downloading a file through Mozilla Firefox. What is my speed, you ask? It fluctuates between 8 and 25 kbps when I should be getting at least 40 kbps. A small 50 MB file takes an hour to download. A few months back, I could download 150 MB in an hour because I used to get speeds of 50+ kbps. Hathway has really become terrible in the last few months.

        It’s time to move on to another ISP.

          Hi,

          Please be aware of Hathway the internet service provider.

          They will ask you to pay the money first to activate a particular internet plan to your account. I have paid them money on 20th Aug 2011 the entire payment for one and half month in advance before even using the service with a promise from there end that the account will be activated by same day afternoon.

          The next 4 days went in vain till Tuesday evening 23rd Aug 2011 the account was not made available to the customer. I have connected 5 times with customer to get my account activated from Hathway. Also, to be NOTED IT TAKES ABOUT 8 - 10 MINUTES FOR YOU TO REACH EITHER OF THEIR CUSTOMER CARE AGENT AND THEN THEY ARE RUDE TO ANSWER YOUR QUERY.

          Please be aware of this kind of Fraud...

            the customer support here is pathetic. They have a landline instead of a Toll free number and you are kept on hold for a minimum of 30 mins each time you call. I had to pay Rs. 150 apart from the monthly rental. This was spent only on the calls where the customer service execs only transfer you from one line to another. They do not have the politeness or maybe not given the necessary soft skills training to talk to customers.

            am thinking of suing these guys for making me waste my time, money and energy behind work which they should have done upfront.

              I have taken a hathway broadband connection , a postpaid one. I was expecting a decent customer experience as HAthway doesnt have great service. But recently i have noticed that hathway has been cheating and misleading me .Hathway in order to increase the calls to customer care ,have been creating problem and then keeping us waiting for 20-25 mins and then doing something in the back ground and not letting us know ,so that we can do it ourselves next time around. I have 2 systems to use internet one official and other personal. when i switch from one system to another ,i get problem with connection. I never had this problem initially. This started occuring in last 10 days or so. I follow the instructions given by customer care staff, but problem not yet solved. I believe HATWAY is trying to increase its calls volume ,by making ppl call to customer care.
              Why customer care personnel refuse to give the details of what is done in the back ground??
              I have spoken to Mr Vinod, arrogant and harsh when talking to customers,says he is wasting his time by solving my problem and asked me to escalate the issue.He also said that Hathway doesnt pay him to solve problems but to create them and make money!!!! he doesnt understand a polite language.

              I have been unable to continue working from home,as the internet connection has been having problems...
              I would like a technical person to visit my residence and sort out my issue at once!!
              I want an apology from Vinod , who has said that i have no business in calling customer care and its wasting his time....if he is not interested then let him do a better job...
              I have spent around Rs 450 this month alone for calling customer care as[protected] is not a toll free no. I want hathway to compensate for my loss of business,time and money!!!

              I have a question here, what is unlimited mean??
              I am told that there is a cap of 10gb limit on my plan and after 10gb speed is reduced to 256kbps.
              How come this is classified as unlimited??? Y this is not mentioned at the time of taking connection??
              I would like to know where it is mentiioned in terms and conditions? If not how come its marketed as unlimited plan @512 kbps...

              I would want to have 512 kbps speed irrespective of download when i have paid for unlimited and have not been mentioned about this speed downgrade...

              I would expect a prompt response and my question answered asap, else i will cancel the connection but also will log a complaint on all possible forums against hathway for cheating and fraud!!!
              I was promised by miss uma from hathway that speed will not be reduced, but hathway is a very good fraud. Speed is reduced to half



              As a result of slow internet, i am unable to work from home and have to travel to office

              Hathway Broadband — Not transfer/reply

              Even after no. of call the persons from Hathway not replying on my request of transfer existing connection to new address. after followup them since last month. Now my sucripation will also end at the end of May.
              Hi,
              I applied for the Hathway broadband on last Saturday(7/12/2013). The sales person confirmed that they will complete the cabling by Sunday evening and will install the modem and the connection will established latest by Monday. They didn't turn up on Sunday and finally came up for cabling on Monday evenig 6.30pm. Once they finished the cabling, they told that a technician will come in 15mins and they will install the modem and the connection will be up then. I am still waiting for the 15mins to get over and after the 2nd day also I am neither receiving any call from them nor the sales person picking my call. Tried to call the customer care twice today morning and evening and they are giving different feedback for my query and not at all sure on the resolution time.
              I am really afraid of their service, if they are treating a new customer like this for a brand new connection and how it will be once I got the connection and if there any downtime or so..
              Hathway Team, you have to pullup your socks for the best customer service or you will get more feedback like this and it will really affect your company reputation, if you have anything like that.

                I have Hathway Broadband for last 5 years. The service in last one year has detiorated to the lowest. I renewed my a/c. 213684 for a year by paying Rs.4412/- through internet banking. But after a week they deactivated my a/c. without any intimation or reason. I have been trying to speak to their executives to reinstate, but to no avail. Everytime I call them the wait time is no less than 45 mins. There Zonal managers just do not respond. Finally I called the MD's office Mr. K Jayaraman.. but no response there too. I have paid money for full year but have not been able to avail the services. I am really surprised with their attitude towards customer care service. Hope I will get some help through this forum.
                Hathway Broadband is worst such service provider so far. In last 4-5 months I have got my accounts recharged with in 20 days or less.Despite of making payment 3-4 times in last 1 month, my account has been deactivated.
                I guess one can reach Moon or Mars, but not hathway customer care. I waited for half an hr to get through to some customer care executive, but at last had to disconnect the call after such long wait. By looking at number of complaint against them on Internet only, I can say that they are definitely not busy attending to other customer!
                I am going to discontinue their service, there is a limit to which you can exploit a customer, waste his time and irritate him!

                    I have taken Hathway Broadband (cust id 773236) which started on 12 July 2011. The plan was of 512 kbps. So, the download speed should be around 45-55 kBps. But, the speed I get is around 6-10 kBps, and sometimes it is about 20-30 kBps. Only in the mornings and late nights I get good speed of 40-50 kBps. Nowadays even opening www.google.com takes about 5-6 seconds.

                    To test, I started downloading a file and at the same time told my friend who is using 512 kbps of other company to download the same file. He was getting speed of 50kBps, while I was getting speed of only 4.1 kBps.

                    As of now, I am not able to open speedtest.net to attach the pathetic speed screenshot herewith.

                    When I complained about this to the company, their engineer came to my place, changed the DNS settings and went back saying that everything is OK. Even though I kept complaining, there is no action taken on the same.

                    I have also copied the escalation email ID [protected]@hathway.net, but still there is no response.

                    Also, my plan was told that it would be 512 kbps, but later I came to know that it is a 1:2 plan, which means that the download speed would be 512 kbps, but upload speed would be 256 kbps. This was not mentioned in the letter I got from the company at the time of payment, or even not mentioned in their website, or even the sales executive didn't tell me.

                    Hathway Broadband — Pathetic speed

                    We got Hathway broadband installed recently in Chennai. The plan is 1MBPS speed. But the speed of the connection is unacceptably slow.
                    That is Hathway for you. These liars should change the name of their company to Cheatway. I too am using this pathetic ISP, but I will leave once the billing period is over.
                    Guys,
                    Pretty much similar thing for me rather multiple pain items for me.
                    I paid hathway payment online & due to transaction failure I paid twice each amount amounting to 1600 INR.
                    It was not credited till next day & I ended up paying 2000 INR in cash to get my connection started.
                    Wait - this was not the end modem was replaced after 2 days after pertinent calls from my end & it started working after 30 hrs instead of commited 1.5 hrs.
                    Now I'm following up with them (several emails, customer care calls, physical rounds to branch office) since more than a week but all onto deaf ears. There appears no sign of me getting my refund. I'm now planning to go to consumer forum. anybody here in case have any inputs/tips regarding consumer forum pls. share with me.

                    My plan is for 50 MBPS but the Speed em getting is less than 512 kbps - simply unacceptable,
                    For this too I have complained thrice & the engineer is still visiting me - 3 daya already past.

                      We have taken Hathway Internet connection for last three years in brothers name "Hemant J Dixit" my connection no is 446236 and earlier i have subsrcibed for 4 months and 4 GB down load free @ 1200 plus service tax, my usage was very limited every time after 4 months there was carried forward o[censored]nused downloads but during last one year they are showing excess usage and during one month only 4 GB shows utilised , in the month of April 2011 i have renewed for 4 months but within less then one month they showed 4 GB is utilised , i have complianed to them also but no proper answers given there is some thing fishy with the usage they are showing in April many days we were not at home due to vacation , still consumption is showing, then i have opted for 12 GB downloads for 4 moths @ Rs 1500 on 28.05.11 but to my surprise by two months they are telling me that full 12 GB is utilised , my neighbours also facing the same problem, you are requested to look into the matter and take necessary steps against them, being a techincal matter we will not be able to prove non usage or less usage but as per our earlier consumption on an average we hardly have 40 to 50 MB usage per day and on some day we do not use the Internet.

                      I have the same problem with them. These dogs add excess MB to your usage limit, and then they give excuses.

                        My A/C No.699595 with Hathway broadband internet connection. The speed of the postpaid connection was drastically reduced in June 2011 itself on the plea that the 100% usage exceeded (perhaps, under the presumption of M/s Hathway, - as if the user would not pay if the same full speed is maintained). This postpaid was concerted into 'unlimited prepaid' in order not to exceed the higher payment limit and the advance quarterly payment was taken for the prepaid connection. But, to my utter surprise, the situation has turned from bad to worse, as the 'so-called hathway broadband internet connection' speed is @ 5.6 kbps/sec. Instead, the dial-up could have been much better.

                          My hathway internet a/c is 30239 and am having my a/c from May 2004. Since 12 July 2011 , I am unable to login to my email after I changed my plan from silver to 512 regular unlimited. The tech staff at customer care of hathway internet is unable to sort out my problem. I had sent a complaint earlier too. Till today, my complaint remains unanswered and problem unsolved

                          My hathway internet a/c is 755811 and am having my a/c from the last 3 years.my connection is disconnected since 3 days, I have registered complain no.943127 dated 7oct 2012 at 3 pm.Till today my complain is not attended, thus i have major problem which is affecting my business, loosing a major amount.The tech staff at customer care of hathway internet is unable to sort out my problem.                             Even though i have escalated my complaint to Hathway (Nodal Officer) with all relevant details which proves i have made the payment in advance but still they are asking me to pay it.

                            I's very frustrating to see even Nodal Officer is unable to resolve this complaint which is being constantly followed up by me since last 3 weeks.

                            However to my surprise now i have received bill for Rs 1030=00 with Due Date: 09/07/2011 (Invoice No:[protected].

                            It is very frustating to see payment made by me well in advance is not at all reflecting in the invoice sent by you.

                            Request you to please look into this matter with high priority or else i will have to take it up with concerned government authorities.

                            This company seems to be a FRAUD, their customer service is PATHETIC.

                            Their grievance addressal system does not EXIST.

                            What's the use of appointing Nodal Officer & Appellate Authority at Hathway when they are unable to resolve a simple complaint like this???

                              I am a hathway internet user since May 2004 with account no.30239 under the Plan Silver Rush with download of 100mb. I changed to a new plan New Happyway 512 Regular with unlimited download on the advice of Shri Mayur Bandodkar in charge of billing section from 112 July 2011. Since then, I am unable to access my email as the login fails every time.I am however able to login for service usage and see the details. The hathway staff has been helpful but their help has not helped me yet to login into my email and see the mails. I might have phoned hathway technical staff nearly 50 tomes during these 3 days but the problem is not solved.I shall thank you to solve my problem at your earliest.

                              Hathway Internet services — Compensation towards poor service

                              The service i received during the span of actober to december was like pathetic, it was understood since they had major issue of data line being broken. But the situation doesn't seem to improve a little, till date the surfing is like a nightmare.

                              And when asked for compensation they are turning heads down and its high time that Hatway shuold take it seriuosly the issues faced by the customers of Charkop, Kandivali(W), Mumbai area.

                              When i pay my fees on time i have a right to receive proper service for that span. They also discontinued my service and are not replying to any mails.

                              Action required on this.

                                The company has comitted with us for one year paid service plus 4 months free service in a package and charged Rs.7066.00 only against this package. and as soon as one year chargeable period is over now we are not getting the service in the said free period and last one month we are trying to complaint them but getting no response. We asked them to refund the amount they are saying this matter will go to our head office in Mumbai, I have paid in advance now for refunding the amount they are taking so much time.
                                I would request you to kindly take nessceary action against this company and ask them to refund my amount with intrest immediately, as i am facing have losses in my business without the internet connection.

                                  On 03rd July, 2011 i called hathway So called customer service, I was connected to the IVR but was on hold for 35:20 min. I time it was connected to a executive my call got cut. I again called face the same problem. I got connect to an executive after almost 5-6 calls. I had problem with user Id and Password, so i ask them to help me on that, and they did.

                                  On next day in the evening when i tried, i was not able to log in. Then again i call the so called customer service, this time i was lucky. My call got connected directly. I ask the executive to help for the same issue. He said he have transfer my call to Billing dept. I told him " yesterday i called your billing dept. they have given told me my user name and password but i m not able to log in and i wanted to check my service usage." The you to send the mail. I asked please transfer my call to billing dept. He replied there is no one in billing dept. and timing for bill dept is 10.00 to 20.00 hrs.

                                  When i argued with i tired to put me on hold.

                                  There no where mentioned about the timing of billing dept.

                                  I think they are trying to hide our usage and will keep on charging without knowing us.

                                    hathway internet services has fair usage policy which limits download limit to 5gb per month
                                    i am using unlimited plan for 3 months and my download is exceeded 5gb for month.
                                    as i am using 3 months plan it should be 15gb and not 5gb for 3 months.
                                    they have already downgraded my speed for rest of the 3 months its very annoying and
                                    does not suits my requirements.
                                    contacting hathway support is like reaching moon by rikshaw.
                                    i am planning to switch my internet services.

                                      I purchased a prepaid internet connection from amol
                                      [protected]/[protected]. Their head office number has a man named ashok[protected].

                                      The man came promptly to give land based broadband internet connection in my home in Kothrud, Pune.

                                      He prmosised that in 10 days the net will be setup at my home otherwise he will refund my money in 2-3 days.

                                      I took his promise and waited eagerly for 15 days for the connection to set up however the net was not setup. Then I asked him to refund my money he has kept on saying that he will for months.

                                      Even after 3 months I call him and he tell me some excuse that he is coming to my home to return the check but he does not come.

                                      I want to tell you guys beware of shelling out Rs. 2/3k to Hathaway internet company. Better go for reliance broadband or TATA else you may lose your peace of mind to these erroneous internet cheat companies.

                                      Hathaway — Irresponsible and Pathetic Team

                                      I really don't understand what's the problem with the Hathaway Team. Prior to me telling them its an urgent requirement, as i work from home at nite, they made me wait for more than 25 days. They comitted me that they will be giving me connection asap. When I asked them to refund the money, they are playing hide n seek.I really don't know if these buggers are going to refund back my money. It's more like harassing people by giving fake commitment.I am completely pissd off. I wish no one should fall in the trap of Hathaway.I wish to get my money back someday.I feel some serious actions should be taken for these cheaters.
                                      They give 50 Mbps plan but the customer gets only 1Mbps speed.

                                        i have your set top box connection from last 5-7 months , it works ok, but from last 3 days i not receiving your service. the massage on the set top box is only please contact helpline , i called every number which i have and also on your aurangabad offices landline number of your receipt but there is no response , that's not a good service from you so, please take action as early as possible . thanks
