I have disconnected Hathway broadband service for my a/c # 606848 in Bangalore. On 25-01-13, hathway person S. Mohan came & taken back modem, adapter, data cable & provided Good receipt note # 53027 by informing us that within 15 days will receive refund. Have made several complaints through hathway customer care call. Customer executive had given false promise all the time by saying that have registered your complaints & will receive call tomorrow from concern department. Please return refund for deposit as well as credit amount of Rs. 54.

    HATHWAY IS CHEAT AND FRAUD

    Hi I am a hathway brodband customer for last 2yrs now acc no 754864 contact no [protected] ...hathway has been cheating its customers in one way or the other my plan details: unlimited 521 kb/S fup of 10gb,sunday n holidays 512 kb/S no limit applicable.... within lat 6 months hathway has changed 3 times their tariff and increasing the rentals!!     NEVER GO FOR HATHWAY.POOR SPEED AND POOR CC SERVICE.

    I am a new hathway user.My account number is 955283.
    I am having a 2mb/sec plan but since the day it was installed I am just getting the ~100kb/sec. Which is not even the 10% of speed for which I am paying.I have called CC two time and every in last week but nothing has happened so far.This is affecting my work and I now regret my decision to get the hatchway connection.And I am planning to move to Airtel which deliver what they promise .

    Hathway — poor speed

    this company is worst i made many complaints about poor speed, they say "our engineer will contact u in next 24 hours" Itz totally ... No 1 is there to contact me...

    Just tell me how long are 24hours? Longer than 3 months???

    and more, for each complaint u have to wait on phone atleast 15 to 20 mins. come on man who will pay the phone bill?

      Details of complaint to Hathway:

      Date: 28/12/2012.

      Dear Sirs,

      Ref: customer no: 957022 (s. rukmini)

      1. Though I was inclined to go for Beam cable internet connection, because of following assurances your sales person Mr. Srinivas ([protected])

      · that I will be getting 100 kbps download with 512 kbps package and proportionately for 1.5 mbps package
      · With 4 month’s subscription I will be getting free connectivity for additional month
      · Unlimited download with dedicated line
      · Best service

      I have opted for 1.5 mbps package to have high speed browsing and download and took connection in my sister’s name (S. Rukmini)

      2. On 25th afternoon connection was given. As I was not available at home during installation, I checked for speed that evening which was only 0.2 to 0.6 mbps with 10 to 30 kbps download speed. Same was taken up with the sales person, who in turn assured that it would be corrected following day.
      3. Following day (26th) after repeated calls, I was informed by sms to contact his Manager Mr. Shivaram ([protected]). On contact, Mr. Shivaram also assured that he would send his technical person to check & correct the problem.

      4. The Technical person checked and told that I will not be getting the speed as I was expecting from the words of sales person. As I requested to disconnect and arrange for refund of the amount I have paid if 1.5 mbps browsing speed & proportionate download speed as per the assurances of ales person could not be provided. He advised not to use net till the issue is resolved since I am requesting for refund. I agreed for it. Except on the first day of connection, I have not used net. On first day also I used to check the browsing speed & download speed.

      5. On 27th some one Mr. Zameel (technical support) from ph. no.[protected] called and informed that I will not be getting download speed more than 190 kbps theoretically and due technical reasons it would only around 150 kbps. When I requested for refund, he told that a technical person would be sent to check and do any thing could be done following day.

      6. Today on 28th at around 2.00 pm some one else Mr. Sathya from technical support called me to inform that I will be getting only 120 to 130 kbps download speed. When I told about the assurances of the sales person & words of Zameel then he also talked about sending some technical person to check. When I informed that no more I can bear with checks & false promises and the connection may disconnected immediately with promt refund of the amount that I have paid, I was advised to send such request to email- id [protected]@hathway.net

      I am fed up with the false assurances and talking about other excuses of technical reasons after I have opted for Hathway net connection, I request to you kindly disconnect the connection provided to me & arrange to refund total amount of Rs. 2530/- which I have paid for it.

        i install Heathway internet connection at my house cg-9,shiva enclave,a-4 paschim vihar,new delhi 110063,i informed to heathway sales person i wanna to use laptop nd my cellphones with his connection with the help of wi-fi. i paid installation charges nd month charges to his sales person and he said yes fr everything now,now i have to log in everytime, Heathway coustmer care saying that u have to pay Rs1500/- extra for the new ip address in that u dont have to log in again & again with ur laptop,
        when i said ur sales person not said for extra money they said u have to pay this amount or talk to our sales person only.now nobody listening my problem.

          I am also facing the same issue. They have not even installed a new modem also. Whenever i call them they keep routing me back and forth from one team to another team. Extremely pathetic customer service. No sense of accountability.

              Hi This is to bring into kind notice of everyone that hathway internet-sai cable distributor - thakur village -kandivali are fraud.
              Thier employee - brn manager-"SHEETAL KADAM", "Amrish Yadav"AND THER "Associated Staffs'" have committed fraud ny filling up fake application forms for internet connection. They have also not responded to client queries. Offered horriable and pathetic service. They have viloted the due dilgence of KYC. They never asked for photograph of the applicant and then have pasted photogragh o[censored]nknown person for lodging application.
              They do not have sufficinet manpower, associated engineer to install the end to end connection.
              They are still following a cycle of D+4 in this IT era.

              Sheetal Kadam has to be held guilty and must be punished for this fraudulent offence. She still is behaving arrogantly and asling us to cancel the application as now reverting will be transpent to higher officials if application is not cancelled.

              Beware of fraudlents.

              hathway- sai star cable internet — no installation

              the wiring depatrtment does not their job properly & the suffering is that my window is always open- the company is not doing the installation of the modem & connection even after many reminders
              Sai Cable Network are bunch of rude goons. We are facing frequent disconnections and signal strength drops every once a week, and every time to file a complaint and get it rectified has been nightmares to deal with set of rude and irresponsible people

              We have been facing frequent interruptions and disconnections at times lasting for 3 - 4 days until it been restored and further i came to understand that the speed which i am receiving is only 5 mbps and drops back to 512 kbps after few days in each month when i was informed and promised of high speed during the payment.

              There is no usage data in my account to verify the my usage limit per month. I am totally disappointed with the product and the customer service.
              Poor supprt pepole, poor engineer and wiring dept.

              Please check your person & the quality of service the provide. I have discontinued sai star hathway cable net because of poor quality of service.

              Following is loop hole were observed when I have subscribed for internet from you guys.
              Here quality service have two meaning both are applied for hathway cable net:
              1) Technical support:- once in a week speed is reduced from 1mbps to 14 kbps & internet connectivity issue, upon call customer care (I am expecting a technical person here) they straight away blame there system for this (What I mean is "you are technical team here fix your system first before fix users problem).
              2) On site support:- that cable guy, he have total fcked up quality of service, once I had reduced speed problem so hathway sent a guy. He cam at place check modem led indication, checked co-axial cable connectivity & told the problem is a spliter located above terrace, when we provided him access this guy increased something but still issue was not then he traced the cable & found a jointer split. Now this guy went & straight away disconnected other user's cable doing so resolved our speed problem, when I told him "other user will get problem" he ignored me & told "if he have problem he will log a complaint & I will resolve it" (which indirectly conclude that same thing will happen with me). Above incident have occured with me obviously my problem was resolved but resolving oneself's problem by raise other person problem is an indication of poor quality of service & lack of technical knowledge.

              Many TV channels could not be viewed

              It is displaying as " This service is blocked (4)"
              Hathway Internet Service is OK according to me, but Sai Star Cable service is worst. From past 2 days only my setop box is not functioning & the cable guy who wander near our building (Mr. Raja Jadhav) is not picking my landline & when called from my mobile his wife pick the phone and says he is not there at home.

              Also, when called in office on there 3 - 4 different landline numbers, nobody picks the phone.

              Not only have worst service, but also they are biggest buggers employed with them.
              Worst internet service. No professional approach. Not recommend to use Hathway service
              The people in Sai Star cables are goon . They don't have any sense in dealing with people. My setup box wasn't functioning properly, so we requested for a new setup box. Its almost a month now, we haven't received the setup box .Moreover the old setup box they took for repairing is still not repaired yet. On doing multiple follow up with local cable operator and the customer care executive they were shouting over the phone in a very bad tone. specially the guy called Abhay working in Sai star. They behave in such a way like they are doing favour on us for providing cable service. Worst Cable network for sure.
              SAI CABLE MULUND doesnt provide timely services after we paid a annual subscription fee.

              Every time the lady incharge there gives assurance that we would send someone to resolve but its all false promises.

              Fed up Now and our money is stuck with them...can anybody help please

                Hathway, I would say, is the worst internet service provider ever. But before I discontinue this service I would like to file a complaint against them. I wanted to get my plan changed to a better one (more charge than my existing one). I went to the Hathway office (at the address mentioned) and they "assured" me - "dont worry, we will take care of it". And they really "didnt worry to take care". I still have the old plan with my extra money lost. After several phone calls and emails (with their internal server down more than not), I got a reply that you did not mention in a comment that you want a plan change. Where would they want a comment? On a Facebook, eh? Also they asked me to go to the office again, with the same "assurance" you see.
                Please kindly escalate this matter. This is not the first time i have had this experience with a "shameful company". Expect your prompt action into the matter.

                  Hi my name is Praveen Kumar and having the acc.no# 934845 registered in the name of Saranya. In the month of sep 2012 i got hathway internet connection. I was promised for connection validity of 6 months and was charged Rs. 3770/-. But now, they have disconnected my internet services stating that it is only for 3 months and I have to pay an additional Rs.600/- for further 3 months validity. I do have a receipt from hathway for the payment i have made. When i call the customer care, they don not respond properly and will claim that they will arrange a call back within 2 hrs but no one calls up, later when i call i get the same response or get an ignorant reply that it's the problem with the back end office. I request you for immediate action on this as I'm really fed up with the way I'm being responded for my query. I want my internet service up and running at the earliest.

                  Sorry for the delayed reply, i was out of station for a while. Thank you Srishaila for your support.
                  The customer care people called up the very next day i posted it and told that the services will be activated in half an hour, as it was their internal problem. However, I'm not pleased with the way things were handled in my case and I would suggest/request Hathway look into this, as the Customer service rep themselves know properly about the plan.

                    Hathway really does not support its customers. I have lodged the complaint regarding the ON and OFF of the internet service. When asked the agent said it was a problem for their end. The SERVER had an issue. When called for help NO help was provided. The connection is still ON and OFF. I want a permanent solution for the issue. The complaint has been lodged 7 days back. Complaint number 7650101. Had called the customer service number[protected] several times. But they have the same thing to say " your issue will be solved". But their is no response. Please Help.....Either I have to go for another broadband service or get this issue solved. The problem is I have to pay the deposit for a new connection once again.

                    Hathway — Very Very Very Poor Customer Service

                    Though I already have an BSNL internet connection, I purchased another one Hathway Internet connection additionally on 18.07.08. The very next day on 19.07.08 I experienced lot of Problems. The connection could not be established. I tried lot of times and various options. Marketing people and Networking guys promised a very good transfer rate and customer support while taking order and installation. But I was disappointed & I was fooled on the very next day. I called upon the number[protected], [protected], customer care) they gave. They put on hold for about 7 mins. No one came on the other side. This happened thrice. Then I called the marketing guy who took the order. He is not at all willing to talk (may be the day I called falls on saturday). He promised me that he will call again shortly discussing with the networking engineers. I have not received his call. I expected this from his conversation.

                    My suggestion on Hathway Internet Connection is

                    Very Very Poor Connection Establishment &
                    Very Very Very Poor Customer Service.

                    If anyone is planning to take an internet connection, be cautious and do not fall in the net spread by HATHWAY. If you opt for Hathway then no doubt you will also visit mouthshut to write reviews.

                    I have an internet connection from Hathway at 40A/1 Shop No. 1 Ashok Nagar, P.O.Tilak Nagar, New Delhi-110018. My user id is gaurav_shivi. This is used in a Cyber Cafe. My package is 256 kbps and its download speed is 10-12 kbps. I have several complaints against poor download speed or poor browsing speed but in vain. They ignored all my complaints. I am very upset what can i do. Please help me to sort out my problum. I have one compensation of ten days of last month bcause i have faced this problum in last month. But from last week i faced the same problum. My internet speed is very poor or very worst. Please give me again seven days compensation or improve hathway's browsing speed or download speed because i am suffering again from seven days as speed is very slow and i am unable to attend my customers. I hope you will help me to sort out this problum. I will be very thankful to you.

                      I made payment to hathway,,... everythng ws working fine...
                      at the last step of payment error was displayed...
                      I was using net banking..
                      The amount was deducted from my bank account and i immediately received a msg frm my bank about the payment...
                      but hatway internet was showing no payment made...
                      payment of Rs. 1544.95 was made on 12-12-12...
                      i tried contacting my bank.. they said 'the payment was successful n the d amount was debited from my account and credited to hatway'...
                      hatway people are saying tht they didnt received any payment as such...

                        We recently requested Hathway for a change in our plan from the existing plan to Flash2lite plan with 2 Mbps speed and 11 GB per month usage limit. The plan was activated on the 7th of November but by the 15th of November the actual speed we were getting was 128kpbs.

                        Since the connection is deployed at my mothers house and she was travelling for 2 weeks after that, we hadn't used the account at all.

                        We later received a sms saying that our account has been downgraded due to usage of all 11 GB of data. The Speed has not improved even after 1 month even though we should technically be in the next billing cycle and should be eligible for another 11 GB of data from the 7th of December again.

                        Unfortunately all calls to the Hathway customer care number result in zero resolution. We just get told the standard line that we have finished our usage limit and therefore the speed has been downgraded. When we ask the customer care person (Leena) to give us the current usage as per their records, we are told that the system is not working and they are not able to look it up currently.

                        Having paid for 3 months in advance we are now stuck with 128kpbs (as per plan it should be minimum 600kpbs) and now way of resolving it with Hathway's pathetic customer care.

                        Any ideas on how we can address this?

                          Hello, my name is Vishvendra Sharma and we have 2 connections of hathway STB's at my home. The problem i have been facing since past 2 months is that most of the channels are getting blocked on a daily basis. We are subscribed to a Dhoom Pack.
                          We always pay the monthly cable charges in advance (a year in advance). To our surprise suddenly hathway has started blocking our channels for no good reason. When i checked with my cable operators he says that they have hiked the prices of some channels and would only enable viewing when you give the hiked amount.

                          This is not acceptable at all. Without any information they cannot block the channels especially to those who pay the year cable charges in advance then there is no point of being loyalty. I am filing this complaint to get viewing back of all my channels not only i would now also need compensation from hathway for such a stupid harassment. They are not accessible their cable operators do not know what is happening.

                          At the end i had this option of lodging a complaint against them. Not only now i need the channels back but also the compensation for harassment they do to their loyal customers.

                          I also face this problem when i connect other company setupbox all channel shows but when i setup hathway all channel is blocked any reset is available or not? how to solve this problem...plz help

                            I am going through a worst experience with Hathway broadband service. for past 8 days my internet service is down and they are not responding. I have complained 4 times but to no vain. This is a really pathetic hathway experience .

                            Hathway — worst customer service

                            i am fed up of this hathway service. i am nt getting my value for money as the hathway server has gone done or smething customer service executive doesn't pick up the call. my connctn has gone down since 3 weeks & i cant remove the service jst bcos i had paid for it.
                            I toltally agree with the compalaints registered and would be part of the coustomer vows they are facing. I have taken the connection in May 2010 for three months paying 1400/-. But Ever since I got the connection not a single day have passed without disruption in the service for hours together and when we make a call to their customer service(which is only one No.) it will be engaged or if you are lucky you may get the line after several trials and lodging the complaint suddenly it will disconnect leaving us in confusion whether our complaint registered or not. If we get to speak to their customer service we will get a very routine, irritating STAAANDDDARDD REPLY that there is problem in the entire area and also inform that it will be rectified in next six hours if it in day time, and if it is in night time it will be rectifed in the morning only. ironically the connection goes off on Satruday night and will be rectified only on Sunday, forcing us to go to a nearest brwosing centre pay also to them in additon to what we paid to Hathway and do the surfing. They nicely prmise that they are trying to find solution to the problem permanently but never happens. In short people at coustomer service are only good at taking complaints but will not have any information about the problem.except for the reply that they will inform the concerned executive.DISSASTROUS. I think Hathway is surviving only on first connection for 3 or 6 months beacuse they are also aware no body would dare to renew the connection with them after such horrifying experiances.

                              Hello all,

                              Hathway broadbands customer service is very poor and unordered. They have two IVR options,
                              option 1 for technical issues, option 2 for billing related issues. Ironically both options will connect you to technical department.
                              And when you ask for billing plan change they will say request is logged with billing team and billing team will call you.

                              I have called 5 times in last 3 days, each time same response but no call received from billing team and no progress.
                              Customer satisfaction is very very poor with Hathway.

                              I have paid around 10000 Rs. for 1 year but their service is just unbearably awful. Most of the time their internet connection is out of order. They always have one or the other problem with their wiring. Though they answer your call, but their explanation about their awful service thing is such that you will find yourself helpless. I am stuck with them neither will they return my money nor will they improve their service as they already have my money.
                              Correctly said by both of you.
                              It will be difficult for us to find a service provider as bad as Hathway.
                              They have no idea what they are doing in this industry. The only point you can connect to them or talk to them is when you are a new customer or there is a renewal required (at both times they call you).
                              In all other cases, it is just that you call them. If things are good someone will attend and say we will get back to you (which never happens) and in most other cases, it will be engaged.

                              Hathway needs to be taught a lesson so that they don't repeat their mistakes and they must be made to pay heavy fine amounts as penalty for fooling their customers.

                                I would like to bring it to your notice that Hathway Hyderabad is one of the worst Internet providers and doesn't provide the services it promises for.

                                They provide poor services and make false promises to the customer.

                                I had taken that Internet connection more than a year back. I don't use Internet a lot (only get time for that in weekends) and whenever I tried logging in most times it didn't connect. There are major issues with their connectivity and when you call them up, you will get a false promise that it will be rectified with a few hours. I must tell you that never happens.

                                Recently, I changed my plan to 3 months unlimited plan and paid for that advance. All through that period of 3 months, I kept on facing disruptions through out and I must tell that the number of times it didn't work was more than the number of times it did.

                                I have kept mailing them about this frequently, but till data haven't received a reply from them (I have all those mails with me as a proof).

                                When the period of 3 months finished they asked me to renew and we reached a discussion where I made it clear that I didn't get the services promised for in those 3 months and they either need to return the money or provide an extension as they never provided the services they promised that they would.

                                To this their Customer Care said they will get back and never called me back. In spite of me calling them again many times, I haven't got a proper reply from them. They are just trying to make it back and forth and play with the customer.

                                I really feel that providers like these must be fined so that they don't fool their customer in future and it acts as a lesson for them

                                Hope this will be taken up seriously with them.

                                Hathway is the worst service provider and people are realising it now.

                                I always make it a point to communicate it even to people known to me not to fall in their trap, they have no idea what and how to serve their customers.

                                  I am unable use the Internet connection from past 14 days. I am calling the customer care about the status and in reply I am getting that It has been forwarded to concerned department. If it has been forwarded, then why it is not resolved till today.

                                  I am facing a Hugh loss in-terms of money and time.and unable to access my professional and personal mails. I have requested to resolve the issue then disconnect the connection and refund the amount back.

                                  This is the 10th time where I am facing the same problem from day one.

                                  Last Friday one of the technician came and has done something and left without confirming that whether my Internet connection is working or not.I told the customer care to escalate the issue and that is not done till date.

                                  I am calling customer care and nordel officer till date but no use. They are taking this many days just to chnage a cable wire.

                                  Hathway Broadband — Irresposible Management

                                  Hi All,

                                  i am srinivas.. i contacted sales executive of hathway for braodband connection ... And I paid the Intial amount 940 rs on 7/6/2009. at that time executive said, " u can get ur connection in 24 hours" . and days goes on... HE didn't lift phone when i called for him to inquire about connection... this drama went for 4 days... i directly called to customer care and raised a complaint... they said " u will get ur connection in 24 hours" again. i called to customer care about 5 times i think... at last they said the status of my application is updated to "not possible". that is there is no possibility of broadband connection of hathway in my area... But the executive take money for a connection... i am only asking is .. as sales executive he has to know about the possibility... ok leave that fellow... I decided to apply for refund... i applied for refund on 13/6/09. that also we have to apply it in the main office (Somajiguda). till the date i didn't get the money. they said when applied for refund " u will get money in 5 days" . but this is 15th day . Totally i want to say is... hathway is worst in customer support and management. don't go for hathway... totally i lost 300 rs for phone calls, transportation to somajiguda, important one is mental torture and valuable time.
                                  Called on 23 stating not able to connect to Internet. Reason that modem was not mapped to server was informed and complain was registered resolution time 24 to48 hours. I called again on 27 to check the status cc exec says complain is resolved disconnected the call.previous call was also disconnected when asked for higher manager.poor customer service.more important is problem id not yet resolved.call center no is not getting connected.need a priority resolution.when it comes to renewals its done in minutes but when it comes to resolution no one bothers to resolve problem.i have a yearly renewal hence once it end i will never go with hath way anymore.also on informing to connect to manger the cc guy did not transfer account no 363094 complain no 7511297

                                    Hello sir , my name is rajesh agarwal with CCR no 939454..i am forced to write to you because of pathetic sales personnel and pathetic call centre service which is in place at your company.
                                    Let me explain the scenario to you.
                                    I was using tikona limited plan earlier and was very happy with their services for past 2 years but now I was looking for a unlimited plan and beam cable for delaying the connection so on your sales person’s continues insistence I took the connection at two place (one at my home 7 months @3600 and one at shop sardar patel nagar for 12 months @6000.
                                    I was needing an urgent connection (as we have some urgent paper work to be completed at home which can be done at cafes )that’s why I didn’t wait for beam cable and took your company’s connection as the sales person promised its gonna be next day working..
                                    On 26th sep I was made to pay for both the connections..The name of the sales person is Praveen ([protected])
                                    On 28th sep the person installs the cable line but could not check the working of the line as there was no electricity at my house.
                                    When I call him after 30 mins saying there is no link light on the modem. He disconnects the call.
                                    We tried to called him again and again and he disconnected the call when I called from and unknown number ,he tells us he cant do anything about it in rude and unprofessional manner and asks us to call centre number.
                                    When we are calling this call centre number [protected], it does not connect at all we tried whole evening and could reach them only in the night when agent disconnected after I yelled him for the service.
                                    Next morning I called Praveen again as I am under the understanding that it is the responsibility of the agent to make sure connection is working for the first and then the call centre comes into picture.
                                    On 29th we called him again asking for help, he tells us he is going to come in few hours every time we call him
                                    I spoke with your call centre some 4 times on 30th and 1st and there has been no positive response from their side.
                                    When we speak with Praveen about sardar patel connection he says he can’t provide connection at place after 6 days of receiving cheque and that too when we bugged him daily.
                                    At the call centre we spoke with Santosh (badge ID 5451)
                                    Now please pay attention to what Mr. Santosh thinks about the concept of a company.
                                    He answered it is not his lookout what contract you had with the agent when we asked about the delay in the connection as it was urgent for us.
                                    I have missed my working deadline and going to face some serious issue over that .now my question is how can some one be so irresponsible.
                                    Mr. Santosh says that it does not matter to him if I don’t think service is not good as it your opinion and it does bother him
                                    And says I can anything I want it does not matter him.
                                    I have handled team for customer service and understand how this business works and it is shame this is how your company works
                                    5 days on and I am still without the connection..you might have a reason but misleading customer in this way shows how irresponsible the company is..

                                    I am going to put this letter with all my details to different consumer court websites and you will surely get to hear from them.
                                    It is not about 3600 or 6000 it is about the faith that we put into a company.
                                    I am sure I will get the connection in a day or two but if someone has to speak up and tell you guys it does not work this way.
                                    It is shame that when I ask for a supervisor at your call centre, your agent Santosh says that there is no one above him.
                                    I don’t know how much business you guys have but I am to make sure that more and more people know about your pathetic service here in Hyderabad and in Mumbai
                                    I have also sent a written letter to the Mumbai registered office in Santa Cruz to make sure people at the top know whats happening at the grass root level.

                                    Truly said, one of the worst service providers.
                                    Service providers like these must be thrown out of the industry and be fined a hefty amount.

                                    Also, it is interesting that whenever you ask for an escalation point they say we don't have anyone above us. Looks like all of the customer service representatives feel that they own the Company.

                                      I recently installed 230 channels setup box in my house thro' Doddabommasandra Chetan cable. Disney kids channels are not coming. In your list this two disney channels are mentioned as Sl.No. 410 &411. Please arrange both disney kids channels to my hathway setup box thro' Chetan Cable Network and do the needful.

                                      Otherwise, we shift other DTH Service providers for these two channels.
