Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like bring to your notice a serious breach of trust by one of the Hyundai dealers M/s Veeteejay Motors Pvt Ltd, Kundannoor, Kochi.
On 23rd Feb '21 we exchanged our old Santro Zip Plus for a new Grand i10Sportz AMT Typhoon Silver, booked in the name of my wife. The old car was taken by M/s VTJ Motors on the same day and delivery of the new one was promised in two weeks. However, delivery date was recorded as 15th March on the booking receipt.
Sales Officer of the dealer called us around 27th Feb to be ready with payment by 3rd March. We kept enquiring periodically. On March17th the dealer asked for full payment which was made on the same day. Delivery was promised within a week, by 25th March.
Thereafter, the dealer never called. Whenever we called, it was told they were trying and delivery shall be done in a week, without giving any commitment on the date of delivery.
On April 9th, 2021 we came to understand M/s VTJ Motors didn't book our order on Hyundai until 6th April even after taking the full payment from us on March 17th. The dealer chose to take us for a ride and cheated us. Besides, we are without a Car from 23rd Feb since our old car was promptly taken. As of today, we are still awaiting delivery.
On 15th April we complained to Sri. Harish K, Area Manager, Hyundai Cars India, both over telephone and through email. He promised to take action against the dealer. We requested for feedback on the action taken. On 23rd, we were told that the Dealer has been warned and no further action could be taken at this stage.
In the meanwhile the vehicle has been delivered to the Dealer on 22nd April. We are told that delivery formalities shall start after full payment(registration, road tax & insurance cost remain to be paid) and it could take upwards of 5 days after the payment, owing to recent change in rules and COVID related restrictions. We are yet to take delivery of the vehicle.
However, the Dealer maintains that no wrongdoing has been done and this is how the business is always carried out. They are dismissive of the issue and flatly refused any compensation on account of their taking money from the customer, while not even booking with M/s Hyundai Motors for more than 3 weeks after the money was taken.
We expect Hyundai to take exemplary action on the dealer after verification of the facts, so that no dealer shall dare to treat a customer in such a manner.
We are also concerned of the delivery, services and treatment by this dealer. M/s Hyundai could take up with the dealer and assure quality and promptness of service.
M/s Hyundai shall also take up with the dealer for rightful compensation for misuse of customer's funds to further dealer's own business/profiteering.
The booking slip and payment receipt are attached herewith.
Kindly take up the issue with M/s Hyundai Motors India, for resolution of the matter in the interest of ordinary customers who could be cheated by such actions from dealers.
Thanking you
Respose on complaint of Hyundai is very poor.
If I know that this type of your response on complaint then I will never purchase or never recommend to any body to deal with Hyundai.
Last due to frustration of your behavior I am going sell my new i10 Nios.
Or in future I will not purchase any vehicle from Hyundai and never advise to anybody to purchase from Hyundai.
Regards
Yogesh Kumar
