Refund due to cancellation of flight

refund of money and bad service

i booked 2 tickets in an AC bus through goibibo.com on 16th of may 2015.on reaching the boarding point IT was a NON AC bus.on talking to the customer care of the company they assured me a refund of Rs.200 within 15 days but i havent recieved it yet.i again brought it to the notice of company about the refund a week before and they assured me refund in 5 days..and even today on enquiry it says AMOUNT WILL BE REFUNDED IN YOUR ACCOUNT WITHIN...

Complaint against Goibibo

I talked on this refund issue with their customer care executives in n number of times and every time they said 5 to 7 working days. Two days before i submitted request in website and today i got mail and in that also saying same thing 5 to 7 days. Its not all fare at all. Kindly take proper action on this please as soon as possible. I talked on this matter with respective airlines(spice jet), they said that they already processed...

Fraud and scam for hotel booking

This company keeps offering lower rates then other travel service websites and when the time comes of giving the confirmation to the booking they will debit the payment and then say payment failed and re-forward to the revised price web page which offers higher pricing.

When spoken with their customer care they say they cannot do not anything, it is a regular problem and should re-try the booking.

Advise not...

Cancellation of bus tickets

Fake and misleading site GOIBIBO

Hi,

I recently booked a air ticket from Ibibo.com from Delhi to Banglore (3 tickets return flight).The airlines was Indigo.At the time of booking the website was was quoting the

total fare as Rs 24500/= which was cheaper than any other website(Makemytrip,yatra etc).The amout was about Rs 1200 less than other sites.

So i booked the ticket and the amount was deducted from my bank account.

I had booked a flight on 19th March 2025 at 2:07 AM from Ahmedabad to Kolkata with the booking ID GOFLDNTADFWM3751290 and paid an amount of Rs. 13, 444 from the UPI account ([protected]@axl). The amount was deducted from the account, but the payment failed. Refund of this amount was not sent to the origin account. I have attached all the required proofs. Kindly refund my money.

    On 15 March 2025, I had bus booking with pnr 4AA72NH2...
    On that day, I reached the isbt kashmiri gate, on Gate 1 and 2 and stood there waiting for bus untill the Bus leave time 11:55 pm I tried calling driver, his phone went switch off, I tried calling him from 11:45 to 11:55 pm, his phone switch off, so I went upstairs, to leafybus office, when I get there it was closed, I called there customer care number, no one picked up...
    Bunch of times I tried calling again no response...
    I went enquiry section on the Bus station, they said nothing we can do as it's a private bus..
    At 12:05 am bus driver switched his phone on, and said, he reached Noida, and pickup everyone on kashmiri gate station...
    What the hell I'm suppose to do now,
    Driver didn't called me, no customer support...
    I waited till bus was suppose to leave the station, there was no sign of bus on that station by 11: 55 pm
    I'm certain of it..
    I want my full money back...
    I didn't travelled, and I had to wait another 3 hours Waiting for another bus...
    I'm frustrated that I have type to get my money back
    Mark my word, I will never use your services ever again...
    Your call support with Ai is worst...

      I have done the flight ticket booking online through GoIbibo portal for travel CHN To DEL, booking ID GOFLDSTACAZU8684014 and received confirmed ticket in Spicejet airline with PNR: HHIDFK.

      Later received an email from GoIbibo that "your booking is cancelled as per the information received from the airline. Cancelled: Chennai-Delhi: K Shaun
      We have therefore initiated a refund of ₹ 5, 590".

      However the refund settlement is pending and not credited to my respective bank account.

        I have tried to make a bus booking on 17th Feb 2025 from bangalore to Kannur on Ashoka Travels.
        After the amount got deducted from gpay, the page was frozen and no booking was made.
        I have tried once more and the same issue happened.
        It happened on 17th Feb 1:22 pm and 1:56pm. I tried to contact the helpdesk and later understood that they dont have any customer care where we can reach.
        I wanted to get refund of my amount 1787.9.
        Please help.

          I had booked a hotel through Goibibo at elite inn, Nashik Hotel on 8th February under their 100% Money Back Guarantee policy, which promises a full refund if the room has cleanliness issues such as pests, foul smell, broken walls, or unhygienic conditions.

          Upon checking in, I found that the room was in an unhygienic and unlivable condition, violating basic standards of cleanliness. The specific issues I faced were:

          1. Unhygienic and Unclean Room: The room was dusty and extremely dirty, making it unfit for stay.
          2. Infested Bed & Fungus on Cushions: There were insects in the blanket, and the cushions on the bed and chairs had visible fungus, creating a serious health hazard.
          3. Terrible Odor: The room and bathroom had a persistent, unbearable stench, making the stay extremely uncomfortable.
          4. Dirty and Damaged Walls: The walls were stained, dirty, and poorly maintained, violating basic hygiene standards.
          5. Non-Functional Amenities: The basin tap was broken, and the TV was not working, which meant I was denied the facilities that I had paid for.

          Since these issues fall directly under Goibibo’s 100% Money Back Guarantee, I immediately reported the matter to Goibibo’s customer support and submitted photographic evidence twice.

          Despite my legitimate complaint, Goibibo’s customer support:

          • Did not address my issue seriously and kept giving generic, scripted responses.
          • Delayed the resolution, forcing me to repeatedly follow up.
          • Customer executives were extremely rude and unprofessional, making no effort to assist.
          • Blamed the hotel instead of taking responsibility, saying, “The hotel denied your refund, so we can’t help you.”
          • Closed my complaint without any resolution, despite clear proof of the room’s unhygienic condition.
          • Offered me a ₹300 voucher instead of my rightful full refund, which is completely unacceptable.

          Goibibo is falsely advertising its Money Back Guarantee while refusing to honor it, which is clear fraud and misrepresentation under consumer protection laws.

          1. Breach of Contract & False Advertising:
          • Goibibo’s 100% Money Back Guarantee is misleading, as they refuse refunds even when customers meet all eligibility criteria.
          2. Deficiency in Service:
          • I paid for a clean and habitable stay, but Goibibo failed to ensure this, violating my consumer rights.
          3. Unfair Trade Practices:
          • Instead of honoring the refund policy, they offered an insulting ₹300 voucher, which is deceptive and misleading.
          4. Mental Harassment & Negligence:
          • The rude behavior of Goibibo’s customer support executives caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

          In light of the above violations, I request the Consumer Forum/National Consumer Helpline to take strict action against Goibibo for false advertising, unfair trade practices, and deficiency in service.

          I Demand the Following Compensation:

          1. Full refund of ₹1591 as per Goibibo’s Money Back Guarantee.
          2. Additional compensation for mental harassment and time wasted due to Goibibo’s negligence.
          3. Action against Goibibo for misleading customers with false refund policies and unfair trade practices.
          4. A public clarification from Goibibo to ensure future customers are not misled by their deceptive refund policy.

            Dear GoIbibo Support Team,

            I am writing to express my continued frustration regarding the unresolved issue of my flight tickets purchased in January and February 2020. As mentioned in my previous emails, I booked two tickets through your platform for travel during June and September 2020:

            Riga to Chennai in June 2020
            Chennai to Riga in September 2020
            Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I was unable to travel on these flights. Since then, I have been persistently attempting to resolve this matter, but to no avail. My repeated requests for a refund have been largely ignored or met with unsatisfactory responses. I am now in a financial crisis and need to repay my aunt, whose credit card was used for these bookings.

            I have explicitly informed your team multiple times that I am currently living in Finland for my higher studies, and that I was available in India only until August 2024. Despite this, your team has continued to call my Indian mobile number, which is no longer valid, and have used this as an excuse for not being able to reach me. This is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of attention to the details I have provided.

            To clarify, I have repeatedly requested that all communications be directed to my aunt, Mrs. Julie Mercy Jayapal, who is available on her Indian mobile number: +91 [protected]. I do not understand why this instruction is being ignored.

            In my most recent communication with your team, I was informed that the airlines had refunded the ticket amounts to GoIbibo. However, despite this confirmation from the airline, I have yet to receive any resolution from your end. The email I received last evening stated that the airlines did not return the money, which contradicts the information I received from the airlines themselves.

            I would like to remind you of the following:

            My aunt was in contact with Ms. Sruthi from your team on October 10th, 2024, who assured her that the matter would be escalated and taken seriously.
            Despite this assurance, I have received no meaningful follow-up or resolution.
            I have communicated repeatedly about my unavailability in India, yet your team has continued to contact me on my outdated Indian number, causing further delays.
            This delay of over 4 years is both frustrating and unacceptable. I am requesting that you take immediate action to process my refund, which I am entitled to, as per the information received from the airlines.

            Please treat this as my final request. If I do not receive a satisfactory response or resolution within the next 7 days, I will be forced to pursue legal action to claim the refund.

            Attached are the relevant flight tickets for your reference.

              I have experienced very pathetic service looking here for Goibibo, there no any proper customer care for Goibibo, when I am trying connect to any No that automated lady saying that the query has been resolved and if any help I have to visit in my trips which totally failed to connect the any of your officer.

              Am reaching with you to ask you that after a lot of conveyance and request the Airlines company has been refunded the amount for my cancelled flight now am requesting to Goibibo that kindly refund full amount to the same account as it was from credit card of icici bank, they following up with me for the same.

              Here am requesting to Goibibo Team kindly don't charge the any conveyance fees and any of single Rs. Charges as the incident which was happened it very bad, which is considered by Indigo team and they refunded the same amount.

                Ibibo claims they Refunded me R6311 on 13 November for a Flight Ranch-Pune Indigo I cancelled.
                I have checked all my accounts (have 9 and 5 credit cards). I sought to whom they Refunded and last 4 Digits of that ac no.
                They SIMPLY REFUSE. 4 complaints logged in and each reply is go check yourself.
                They said chk UPI limked ac in icici or any. I have only two UPI linked. I sent them bk stmts of NOV month which has NO Refunds.
                It may have bounced back as per me.
                Next I will need start ESCALATING to MoF or Social media. Saw this so dropping cpmplaint here first
