I have a trading account with ICICI Direct (NSDL Demat A/c No. IN[protected]. The account was inactive for quite long time. Recently I reactivated the account to resume trading. Since I had several doubts regarding the specifics of the portal I sent a mail on[protected] to [protected]@icicidirect.com requesting to arrange a discussion over phone with a representative of theirs. Since I had very specific doubts about the working of the portal I felt it would be better if I have one-to-one discussion. But to my surprise I received quite irrelevant reply stating that my account is active, no mention about the tele-discussion. I again wrote to them specifically mentioning that I need to talk to someone over phone. But I started getting strange replies. In one instance I had to send them 3 reminders and threat of complaining to elicit a reply.
Finally on March 07, 2022, I escalated the matter by writing to the following email addresses '[protected]@icicidirect.com'; '[protected]@icicidirect.com'; 'rakesh.[protected]@icicisecurities.com'.
Again to my surprise the reply from [protected]@icicidirect.com was irrelevant. No mention about complying my request for the phone call, instead I got the list of their branches in Pune. I replied to them stating that enough is enough, please resolve my problem by 11 March, 2022. For that I got the following reply from their Head Quality Service!
"we are trying we will get back give us time till 16th March 2022
Than you can whatever action you want to take .
Till than no communication .
Thanks for writing to us

I had been persistently requesting them for a phone call for more than a month and finally I get such a rude answer. They could have addressed my issue in a much better way. My request was for just a phone call. If the phone call was not possible, at least they should have told me that. Neither they had arranged the phone call nor they have told me why the phone call cannot be arranged. As a customer I deserve a better treatment than this. Kindly look into this matter and help me.
