My bill payment was due on 28th april and i missed it. I got a message saying that auto-debit failed due to insufficient funds. On checking my internet banking account, i am shocked and surprised to see that i was charged rs. 530/- because of it. (450/- fee and 80/- gst).
First, i have never opted for an auto-debit option and checked once again to confirm if i did. It showed no auto-debit for the credit cards. Second, there was no reminder about the non-availability of funds.in that case, i would have put sufficient funds before the auto-debit would have happened.
Usually, i pay my bill from my mobile app. Since it was not working for a few days, i waited for it to become active. On seeing the message that auto-debit occurred, i opened my internet banking account.
Icici is duping people by levying unnecessary charges.
I tried calling customer care and also my relations manager. Both are not responsive. I have sent a mail too to [protected]@icicibank.com. I got no reply.
