The icici bank representatives asked me to avail credit card facility which is free of cost and there will be no annual charges. I specifically told that i don't need any such facility since i am fine with atm cum debit card. But, they told me just take it and use it if you want or don't use it as you wish. But there will be no charges.
After that i received the credit card but its password never came. Since i never intended to use it, i didn't bother much. But just now i saw that there was a joining fees as well as annual charges for holding this credit card.
I never had an account in icici bank, but just because of company requirements to have one for the salary i got one savings account opened. Ever since then, i never had a good banking experience with icici.
To start with, the account opening balance was credited into my account after more than a month.in the meantime i received an email stating that i may get penalised for keeping bank balance less than minimum savings account balance. I literally had to call my home branch to ensure that my money gets credited into my account.
After that the credit card incident. Every time i visit any icici branch i get to hear all sort of loans and credit card facilities but very less effort from the bank's side to hear out my problem. Such kind of incidences makes me wonder whether i should continue with the bank or drop off.
Please look into these complaints and try to improve the consumer experience. And please discontinue my credit card. I really don't need it at the moment.
