On 28/01/2013 I had called up ICICI Bank from my mobile [protected] at 9.18pm from Pune. This was regarding a query regarding my NRE ac. After dialling their Indian customer care no and after entering the ac details as per the instructions from the recorded voice; I was told to wait to get connected to the customer care agent. Later I was told to wait 30 seconds to get connected.After waiting for nearly 10 minutes and listening to their services and other offers I had to disconnect the mobile phone as I did not want to waste further time. For all this waiting and listening to their sales talk, I had to pay for the call as they do not have a toll free number locally. I want to ask, what is the point of being considered a privilege banking customer when u have to go through all this crap. In a way you as the customer are paying for their advertisement and sales talk by being put on hold for several minutes, without even getting any answer to your queries. And they call this customer care, where u as the client end up paying for the calls made to customer care. They should not make the customer wait for more than a minute if they are not capable of attending to the customer. I wonder what is their deal with the mobile operaters, making customers wait unneccessarily, ultimately the customer ends up paying for the call of 5 to 10 minutes of wating.

ICICI Bank — Very poor customer service!

this is with reference to a personal loan of Rs.45000 that i took from icici bank with loan a/c no. -LIDEL[protected] in 2006....and i have paid all the installments except 2 and the reason for not paying those 2 installment is that i have not received the loan sanction letter so far and any details regarding the charges. so i want the sanction letter with all the charged on loan with proof.
I applied for personal loan and was informed that loan was approved within 5 days. I was told that I would receive a DD within 2 days. Its been more than 15 days I still haven't received it. I spoke to loan dept mgr however no use.

Useless illeterate and unqualified staff. First the staff needs good manners and communication skills..

SHAME on India's biggest private bank.

ICICI bank, management atleast wake up and teach your employees the basic human values on how to deal with honoured customers.

Your staff is suitable for BUTCHER jobs and not BANK jobs...
Hi,
It is better to invest in nationalized banks than these private banks who are inefficient as compared to nationalized banks. The reason being the employees recruited in nationalized banks have to fulfill a certain criteria and a must level of qualification along with clearing of tough entrance exams unlike te private banks where employees do not haveto go tough screening tests nor background checks.

    This is happening now 2nd time....simply icici bank suck..it can only provide good service in metro cities.

    my mom was told that if she opens RD of min 2500 each month ,then she doesn't need to maintain min balance amount.

    Then i complained here,they told they will resolve it,but again its been cut from account.

    They called and gave insurance that it will be(charges) reverted and it wont be charged again.but it happened 2nd time now....I really want to abuse u gays to fullest,but u wont understand that language too....as u simply wont care about customers.

    I am also thinking of shifting my salary account to citi bank.

      I have been charged an annual fee of ICICI Bank Credit Card for 2nd year which was undisclosed to me as it was committed that its a free of cost charge we are providing to you as a valued customer.

      Also, I have contacted CCE on[protected] regarding the reversal of annual charges, He left me with a fraud commitment that if you shop out for Rs. 5,000/- this month the levied charges will be reversed in the next generating bill. Which was not provided as per their commitment besides my shopping for more than Rs. 5,000/- during the last month.

      So, I again contacted today the customer care desk and explained the issue to the concerned CCE (That no annual fee reversal has been provided to me) but left with no response instead of multiple excuses. Having no positive approach to the concern, the CCE then transferred the call to higher authority, who has amazed me with the most shocking words "THAT WE DID NOT LODGE/ FILE YOUR COMPLAINT, AS WE LODGE COMPLAINTS FOR OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS ONLY". Worth noting that I am using ICICI Bank Credit card for the last 5-6 years even though I am not being a valued customer.

      How shameful is this for the most reputed ICICI Bank and their authorities that they greet and treat their customers like this besides levying the undisclosed and hidden charges in many ways.

      ICICI Bank — annual charge add in bill

      I was awarded a credit card by your bank in the year 2003 and the facilities were enjoyed by me with immediate effect. The payment for the utilized portion was paid as per the terms and conditions without any delay. In addition to that while issued the credit card I was informed that there will be no annual charges will be deducted. But when I gone through the statement of account, I was shocked to note that the bill for the Month from (July 22 – Aug 21, 2004) the amount of Rs.750/- towards annual charges and Rs.60/- on account of Service tax was deducted. Immediately I brought the matter into your Customer care Centre, Hyderabad. They convinced me and confirmed that the amount will be reversed immediately. Subsequently, they have allotted the HP Card. Everything in this connection was already conveyed to you through my letter dated 02.11.2005 addressed to Mumbai Branch. But so far, I have not received any proper reply for the same.

      In situation, recently your Credit Card Collection Department staffs visited my office namely (Mr.Dinesh, Mr.Antony and Mr.Ebi) and threghtened me to remit the said all charges as on date, otherwise, they will bring some other recovery agencies and also confirmed how to collect it.

      Now I request your goodselves to go through my track record from the inception or the day one and may come to know that still there will not be any outstanding on my credit side and my card already having excess Rs.460.00. So I request your goodselves to take suitable action and have a solution tome. Otherwise, I was forced to take further legal and disciplinary action, on them. Expecting your patronage at all the times to come, All the respective papers are enclosed for your reference.

      Credit Card — Annual Charges Levy

      Respected Sir / Madam,

      I am reffering to the Cr. Card which I posses on the above name.. DOB 14/09/1963, Mumbai. When I applied for Cr. Card in the year 2006 I was told that its life time free card where I dont have to pay Annual Renewal Charges. After which I have applied for the Cr. After complition of 1year the card was renewed and I was sent another card Exp date is 07/13. In the year 2007-08 in the month of July I recd a statement where Annual Fees were levy and which I objected and didn't pay as it was told to me this card is life time free. After long discussion for almost 3 months later the Statement was reviewd and was re-sent to me by giving cr. of the dues that is annual fess and late fees. Now, again in the month of Aug'08 I recd statement with annual charges levy. I am paying my Cr. card payment deducting the same and also penalty charges levy for non making payment towards the balance dues.
      You are therefore requested to please look into the matter and reverese the annual charges alongwith the late payment fees immediately and send me the fresh statement duly with squaring outstanding dues. So to enable me to keep my accounts uptodate.
      If this matter is not resolved once for all than treat this letter as cancellation of my Cr. Card with immediate effect.
      You are also requested to please tell ur tele caller people not to give reminders call to any customer at un-appropriate time thats is at 2.pm, 3.pm or3.30pm on holidays as they are disturbing the privacy of customers. The contact no which are given while filling up the form doesn't mean that someone should call anybody at an un-appropriate time.

      ICICI Credit Card — Charges not reversed

      ICICI bank had heavily charged me for a delay in monthly payments. It was not a deliberate delay and this was the first time as well.
      Upon enquiring with ICICI, they came back with 50% reduction in interest and late fee charges, I was not happy with just 50% reduction and had asked for a full reversal.
      Couple of days later, I received 2 SMSs from ICICI Credit Card division on my mobile about full reversal of charges on my credit card. But the reality is, they just did 50% reduction in charges though SMS read something different.

      I am not happy with such a misleading message from a responsible bank. The SMSs I have received clearly mentions the entire amount of interest & late fee and associated service tax being reversed.

      Sub: DEMAT account not opened within the specified timeline given to me.



      This mail is to inform you that I requested for DEMAT account opening in ICICI Bank (Kalyani Nagar, Pune) on 04-Nov-09 and I was told that my DEMAT account will be get activated within 10 working days.



      Today is 20-Nov-09 i.e. 13 working days are already over and still my DEMAT account has not been activated and neither the ICICI employees have the courtesy to let their customer know for the delay.



      Even after the delay, I called up Mr. Manit Kumar to get the status of my application and then I also spoke with his superiors about the same concern and now they said that another 4 working days will be required to get all the things done.



      ICICI charges highly to their customers saying that ICICI provides the best and quick service. This is the kind of service that I have received from the ICICI Bank.



      When I spoke with Mr. George that I will lodge this issue in the Consumer Court, they didn’t even bothered for the same as if they are not afraid of anyone.



      I have wasted lot of my precious time to catch hold of these people and also I have made so many unwanted calls to these people for my application status.



      I would request you look into this matter and take strict action against ICICI bank for mental harassment and wasting my time.

      all the dues as per statement dated Dec, 19, 2008 for Rs. 102.16 for credit card no. [protected] were paid inJan 2009 vide cheque for rs. 102/- along with the damaged credit card, but the statements with late payment fees are being sent again and again. Pl look in to the matter.

          Hello Sir,

          I am ICICI bank credit card customer and using it since 2009. My card is about to expire Jan 2013 and requested bank to close my account in Nov 2012 as i am out of India and will not be using card in near future. Suddenly after few days, what i see 3 unauthorized transactions were made on my card in US. however i called bank within 24 hr of transaction, bank is not accepting that and just filled dispute the charges. I called merchants where transaction were made and ready to revert the payment, when i communicated same info to ICICI customer service and requested them to contact me to give status of dispute filed but i see no response from bank.

          I work for big india corporation and make sure to let my HR know about ICICI bank fraud and request them to stop ICICI bank representatives in our office and request employee to close all ties up with ICICI bank.

          ICICI bank is not responsive and repent my decision to choose this bank to get credit card. I make sure, will not make any relationship with fraud credit card distributors.

                I have my salary account with ICICI bank and was looking out for some investment options for tax saving.

                So I called up ICICI bank customer care number to know about their Fixed deposit scheme for tax saving (they call it ATC FD). I wanted to have a FD for Rs.50000 and for 5 years. The executive explained me the entire scheme and his last question to me was whether I want to have the interest transfered to my savings account monthly, quarterly, yearly or on maturity (cumulative). I asked him how much would be the difference in interest if I go for quarterly over the cumulative one and to this, he replied that it won't be a major difference - just Rs. 3 per month. So I finalised to go with the quarterly option and get the interest to my savings account quarterly.

                But somehow I was not satisfied with the explanation this excutive gave to me for quarterly interest so I called up ICICI customer care again the next day early morning and again asked them to explain me the difference in interest with actual figures for the two options - quarterly and cumulative. And to my surprise the executive this time told me that if I go for quarterly interest with Rs. 50000 investment for 5years then I will get Rs. 21000 (approx) in total, whereas if I want to take the interest on maturity then total interest that I will get will be Rs 26000 (approx) which gives a difference of Rs. 5000 in interest. So I asked the executive to immeditaley update my previous request "sr[protected]" to make it as cumulative interest instead of quarterly.

                The executive informed me that she can update the request but she is not sure if this will be of any use so she insisted on closing the first request and opening a new request for "ATC FD with cumulative interest" option. I gave a positve respone to her to go with second option of opening new request and soon I was given new request no. sr[protected]she also confirmed closing of first request) .

                All done now, she told me that this new request will be processed in 2 working days. By the end of day I checked my savings account and Rs 50000 were trasfered to my new ATC FD account. I was happy that all went well and I have my new ATC FD created without much hassel.

                Next day morning I got a call from ICICI bank and he said "I am sorry to inform you but your new ATC FD account is created with quarterly interest because of some technical issues your old request was not closed and now you cannot close this FD account for 5 years!"

                When is that ICICI bank do not run into technical issues? If there was a technical issue then why is it that I suffer for this? Will ICICI pay me the difference 5000? This is completely unacceptable to put the blame on technical failures and tell your customer that there is nothing much that could be done now...so bear with it!

                  I opened an account in ICICI bank in my wife's name.
                  It was a privilege account and I used it for some time, then it came into dormancy mode.
                  Few days back I deposited some amount in this account and more than INR 6500 were auto deducted from it.
                  I've got no intimation about any charge for any cause from bank.
                  Also while contacting ICICI bank, they say it's monthly deduction and if you have any problem then get your account closed.
                  The account no is[protected].
                  I'm not satisfied at all with the services and answers of bank.
                  While opening an account, they call so furiously, but while deduction the don't intimate at all.

                    Intimidation using RBI as a shield

                    1) Harassment for getting information for account related issues (inward remittance) by way o[censored]sing RBI verbally and refusal to put the same on via email.
                    2) Outright denial of information with regards to preferential rates for my remittances, when asked to put the same on mail, i was told query has been forwarded
                    to concerned department, no word on the same yet.

                    Change of Mobile Number

I can only see 'Update Email Id' section. Please provide a link so that I can change my mobile number online.

                    So please register my complaint and tell me that how to get it activated and by when it will be done.

                      All my transactions from ICICI to IOB account done so far is not reflecting in current balance statement. The reason behind this problem is while adding third party details for fund transfer, 5 digit account number has been added which was the account number of IOB when I opened the account. Now IOB bank says, we do not hold any transactions from ICICI and the account number used to transfer amount should be 15 digits. Please get back to me on this problem asap and let me know what needs to be done from my side.

                        An application has been made with ICICI Bank (reference above) in the month of November 2012. The same is still under process and i have not heard anything from the Bank. When i called up ICICI Bank helpline twice in the month of Jan 2013 i was informed that the same is under process. The Bank has not been responsive on the status of the application and now i have been told that i cannot replace my existing card with this new card. The same was clarified by me to the Bank at the time of application and the Bank offcials had agreed for the same. All relevant documents were submitted and the verification process has also been carried out. Hence there is no reason why the Bank should delay the process.
                        Several reminder mails directed to '[protected]@icicibank.com' and icici.[protected]@gmail.com have been unanswered.
                        Request you to look into the matter and assist.

                        I have applied for new credit card as per our discussion from ICICI customer care no. [protected].
                        Now i want to trace the credit card is coming or not as i have submitted all documents on 15.01.2014 to Jitendra Singh mob:[protected] against application number N[protected].
                        but nobody are picking my calls in both the mobile numbers.
                        also clearly mentioned on receipt application processing may take upto 21days till the time 45days are over and no updates.

                        could i know the reason for delay ???

                        Same thing happened with me, Even I got two mails for confirmations with different Application Ref. No's. ICICI bank Please answer for this problem we are facing. The whole process of application started from ICICI executives only, they called me on office phone number.

                        I have applied for the credit card in Month of April. I got a mail ([protected]@icicibank.com) after 3 weeks later giving my application reference number. When I am checking status of my card . it says, "We have not found any records for the information provided"

                        I have called customer support several times. On that I have to wait for their call back. After waiting for their response, It is poor and they will drop call in between and will not call you back.

                        There should be a system in which customer care repeat calls (if customer care drops calls in between and I can't call you back, what is the point of waiting and getting the help ) unless the issue has not been closed.
                        Unprofessional service without caring for the valuable time of customers.

                          This is Shiv Kumar Choudhary, holding an ICICI saving b/a :[protected] . My complaint is related to the minimum account balance charges, that bank has debited from my account without even notifying there policy changes, I have never got any information about the policy changes. I think ICICI bank is not even following the guidelines mentioned by RBI.
                          It is extremely disheartening that Bank is just debiting hefty amount from their customer's hard earned money , without any intimation through phone or statement or any way.

                          Who has given right to them to debit the amount without any notice or intimation to the customer? How one can be updated with the hidden rules modification.?

                          Please find the below details for all the transactions made by bank.

                          Please take some action against this bank for not complying RBI standards / guidelines. And help to get back the debited amount , as there was no proper communication.

                            I was in a shock when i received an sms
                            regarding the payment remider of my ICICI Credit card. I had applied
                            for the credit card but after that I received no information from
                            your side regarding issue or delivery of credit card, neither on phone
                            or email.

                            I only received an e-statement on my email id. That too I was unable
                            to view as it is not accepting the password I am entering as per the
                            instructions mentioned in the E-Mail. If required I can forward the
                            statement.

                            Thus the senario is I even do not know the Credit Card Number and I am
                            asked to make the payment.

                            I shall not be liable for any legal or financial action against the non
                            payment of an undelivered credit card. Futher I am not liable to
                            pay any charges till the time I receive the Credit card thus the first
                            statement shall stand as cencelled and no further interest or charges
                            shall be applied in my next statement.

                            If above said problem is not resolved I will have to take the matter to Consumer Forum.

                                    NAME CHANGE AFTER MARRIAGE IN BANK ACCOUNT IS REALLY A BIG PROBLEM. THIS IS MORE HARASSING WITH PRIVATE BANKS LIKE ICICI. I WENT TO ICICI BANK (PHASE 7, MOHALI) FOR ADDITION OF SUR NAME TO MY EXISTING ACCOUNT NAME ON THE BASIS OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND NOTARISED AFFIDAVIT OF NAME CHANGE AFTER MARRIAGE.
                                    BUT THE BANK PEOPLE BLUNTLY DENIED TO DO THE CHANGES. HOWEVER IN MY VIEW THESE TWO CHANGES ARE SELF EVIDENT IN THEMSELVES. I AM SO CALLED PRIVILEGE BANKER OF ICICI BUT I AM SO SORRY TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS BANK.
                                    THE RULES MADE SHOULD BE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AND NOT BE HUMILITAING AND DISCOURAGING.

                                    FINALLY I HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT AND OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT IN NEW BANK. AND THIS TIME NOT AT ALL IN PRIVATE BANK.

                                    ICICI Bank — How to curb harassment by private banks

                                    Almost all o[censored]s have been a victim of the private banks and harassed by them. Whether you hold an account or a credit card or have taken a loan, you had complaints. You must know that these banks are harboured by the authorities and ministers. These folks have been bribing them rather we should say "The authorities are fed on the pieces thrown by these bankers".

                                    This is why the general public has been suffering of high inflation and worsening economic conditions.

                                    Here is the way out to curb these cheaters. Simply follow these steps:

                                    1. IF YOU ARE HOLDING AN ACCOUNT, CLOSE IT AND OPEN YOUR ACCOUNT WITH A NATIONALISED BANK
                                    2. If you are in a job, DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR SALARY THROUGH CHEQUES OF THESE PRIVATE BANKS, SPECIALLY ICICI BANK
                                    3. If you are into business, DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS, THROUGH CHEQUES OF THESE PRIVATE BANKS, SPECIALLY ICICI BANK
                                    4. STOP USING ATMs OF PRIVATE BANKS OR ELSE YOU MAY RECEIVE EITHER FAKE NOTES OR RS.100 NOTES INSTEAD OF RS.1000 NOTES
                                    5. IF YOU HAVE INVESTED IN THEIR STOCKS, SELL YOUR SHARES AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
                                    6. IF YOU ARE A CREDIT CARD HOLDER, GET IT CANCELLED AT THE EARLIEST
                                    7. IF YOU HAVE TAKEN A LOAN, EITHER RE-IMBURSE IT OR GET IT TRANSFERRED TO A NATIONALISED BANK
                                    8. IF YOU ARE EMPLOYED WITH A PRIVATE BANK, START LOOKING FOR A JOB OR ELSE YOU MAY SOON BECOME JOBLESS
                                    9. Trust banking with the Nationalised Bank's only. Even if their service is not very prompt and advanced, give them business opportunities and very soon they shall improve.

                                    IF YOU DONT TRUST THE ABOVE RECOMMENDATIONS, YOU MAY HAVE TO REGRET...

                                    I am also facing the same problem with ICICI bank. Despite of marriage certificate, I am denied the surname change in my saving bank account.
                                    Even I am facing the same issue post marriage. I have been doing rounds at the bank several times. Every time, there is a new excuse. Last one being there is some investment related account linked, which first needs to be corrected online[which i could not see online]. A single source of change should ideally change all related accounts. Please improve your services considering name and address changes.
