Few days back I had applied for a personal loan on your website.
On 5th Oct’21, I got a call from one of IDFC Bank's employee whose name is Mr. Amit Kalgonda (Mob.No.-[protected]) and he conforms me that, my personal loan of 1, 27, 000/- was sanctioned from the bank.
In our telephonic conversation, Mr. Amit said I have to pay back this loan with a monthly EMI of 3865/- and my loan tenure will be 36 months.
After that on the same day i.e. on 5th Oct’21, I got written confirmation from him on WhatsApp regarding our telephonic conversation, in WhatsApp messages also he had conformed me that, my loan tenure is 36 months, our WhatsApp conversation snaps are attached for your perusal.
After some days i.e. on 22nd Oct’21 I received a mail from the bank and I was shocked after seeing the tenure period of 48 months. I had immediately called Mr. Amit but unfortunately, he did not respond to my calls. After that on the same day, I had lodged a complaint on the bank's customer care number with SR No. [protected] but I did not receive any resolution for my problem.
Hence on 31st Oct'21, I had sent a written complaint through an email for which I received the reference no. [protected].
After that on, Saturday 13th Nov'21 I had received a call from the bank's Territory Manager Mr. Aushitosh [protected] and he took Mr. Amit Kalgonda in the conference call in which Mr. Amit admitted that, at the time of processing my loan application he had given me a loan tenure of 36 months instead of 48 months because of some typo error.
On the basis of Amit's confirmation, I have calculated my total repayment amount i.e. EMI of 3865/- for 36 months which is equal to 1, 39, 140/- and on the basis of that, I have made my decision to take a loan from your bank.
As per the new loan tenure of 48 months, my total repayment amount will become 1, 85, 520/- which is much higher than what I was interpreted, and this is because of wrong information provided regarding my loan tenure by your employee Mr. Amit.
Initially, if I got the correct information about my loan tenure then, I would defiantly not accept this loan, because my purpose of taking this loan was to close my various loans and keep only one loan for better management of my finance.
As a human being, I can understand that, the bank's employee unconsciously made mistake while giving me the information but because of this, I have to pay the extra amount which is equal to[protected] = 46, 380/-.
As a middle-class salaried person this extra amount of 46, 380/- is currently not fitting into my budget, even with the EMI.
I request you to kindly support me to get the loan tenure of 36 months which was committed to me at the time of disbursing this loan along with the EMI of 3865/-.
