Hello,
We booked 2 tickets, PNR no- [protected] and [protected] of Karnataka Exp(12628) of date 2-Dec-2016 from NDLS to HBJ. When we reached station, there was announcement that train is delayed by 1 hour 50 mins, we decided to wait and we waited till 1:30 AM. During this time it was only announced that train is in yard for inspection . But no time for departure was announced.
Ultimately we left the station at 1:30, and We have to travel till Gurugram and by the time Metro was also not functional. Looking at safety perspective after searching a lot we booked cab for Gurugram, and reached here by 3:30 AM.
We was so frightened and tired that we slept straightaway. And we filed the TDR next morning at around 9.30 AM.
But now by our surprise the TDR has been cancelled saying that we have to file TDR before train departure.
How can we file TDR from station where there is no proper information of train arrival + limited internet facility. also the person is so deserted by the delay that he/she even cannot find a way to go back to home, and being a girl It was very much risky for me to take a cab at this hour of time.
We want Railways to refund money in such scenarios, where delays are not even announced on station. On station it was announced 2 hours late, but actually it was more than 6 hours delayed.
Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
