My ticket fare which they charged was Rs 731 including service charges. And one day before Journey Date, I received a message from them that Train is Cancelled. Now according to their rules mentioned on IRCTC website for Refund if Train is Cancelled, it is clearly written that full amount will be refunded. But what I got was just Rs 685. They deducted the service charges and didn't refunded that. Now my question is, even if I haven't used their services, then what gives them right not to refund service charges?
They should refund entire amount as this is clearly seen cheating passengers.
They just fetched Rs 45-50 from every customer who booked train tickets from IRCTC portal without even giving any services to them. This makes a huge profit that too without doing anything.
They are just cheating passengers and keeping money with them without any purpose.
This issue should be sorted out.

    Sir,
    i was travelling from Mumbai to Delhi with my family. Due to wrong prs announcement i missed my train and suffered a lot while travelling to my destination .

    Mine 3 tickets amount got struck as tt refused to did anything in that regard. I have filled tdr just after reaching delhi.

    kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

        Dear team, our pnr no. Is-[protected]. For rajdhani express from ahmedabad to delhi. Train was got cancelled. We accordingly filled tdr for the refund on 23 feb, 2016, but now it is almost 06 months and this refund is not yet credited back in our account. While chasing up irctc through calls and mails, they have only 01 reply that refund is under process under the management of north railway and it will be refunded shortly. I want to know how much time it will take more and when can i expect this refund. It is looking like there was our mistake if train got cancelled and now we have to face the punishment of this.           I found tatkal status of 12017 (Dehradun Shtbdi) as REGRET/CKWL1 on 13 Aug 2016 at 08:45 AM for 14 Aug booking from Meerut (MTC) to Haridwar (HW). While booking should start at 10 AM, how it can show waiting?

          It should have shown available no of tickets without 'Book Now' tab.

                Dear sir/madam,
                I had booked a ticket from BRC to KUH journey date 5 jul 2016, but the train got late for more than 5 hours (schedule departure at BRC was 5:12 am). I had filed the TDR on the same day at 05 July-2016 9:13 hrs. The status of TDR showing CR repudiate. I was waiting for the train but the train got late so much, so I have filed the TDR before actual arrival of train at BRC (train was late morethan 5 years, please check the at the BRC station). Please help me on this matter. As per rule total amount of ticket should be refunded if the train gets late/delayed more than 3 hours.                   This is with reference to TDR filed against PNR Number [protected] with reason Train Late More Than Three Hours and Passenger Not Travelled.

                  This TDR refund has been rejected saying that "AS PER CHART, PASSENGER HAS TRAVELLED".

                  My father Mr. Vinod Kumar Khiste did not travel and it can be proved easily as he travelled next day by air. The sceenshot of his flight ticket is attached. He travlled on this flight and it can be verified from spicejet directly. Now, it is impossible that he can be on this flight as well as Kv express.

                  This is the result of sheer corruption in railways. I am TTE must have taken money and passed on the seat to someone without actually paying a penny to railways.

                  I would appreciate if you process this request, I am ready to cooperate and provide any details required from my side.

                    I wanted to book tatkal ticket from my personal id, as soon as i logged it to book, there is an error popping up saying only 2 tickets permitted per ip address. Just then i had logged in, how will i book the tickets within 2 mins? It was really required for me because i m travelling with a small baby. I m really disappointed with this.
                    I tried created another log in id but it is taking so long to receive the otp to verify the account.

                      Tried to book a train booking for the 8/13/2016.

                      There has been no booking from the same pc or ip address.

                      Whereas while booking a ticket it shows an error message of

                      "you are permitted to book only 2 tatkal tickets between 10am to 12pm per ip address".

                      Actually speaking no bookings have been made from this id.

                      Hence tried to use a different system and a different id, the plight is the same.

                      Why this bias? Either discard internet tatkal bookings totally and communicate the same to the public in advance so that necessary arrangements can be made.

                          I had booked ticket from chennai to thanjavur with doj on 14th august 2016 with second sitting. Pnr no - [protected]. I cancelled the ticket on 11 august 2016 as it is not confirmed. The refund amount is less than the originally booked amount. It shows some clerk-age charge of rs.60 is deducted.

                          For wl ticket in second sitting, the clerk age charge is rs. 30. Excess of rs.30 has been deducted. Please refund the excessively deducted amount.

                            Dear sir / mam,

                            I am trying to book tatkal tickets from my personal irctc id, but error is coming which says "you are permitted only 2 transactions between 8 am to 10 am per ip address/user id"

                            Surprisingly the error statement is completely wrong as i have not booked 2 tickets between 8 to 10 even not within a week.

                            This is happening for all the users which i have discussed with. Kindly resolve at the earliest as this causes panic to the genuine users.

                              I'm traveling in this Indore Amritsar express 19325
                              Plz check the attached video! Atleast train your attendants to manage the linens properly! These dirty blankets are never ever dry cleaned this is what he told, also u can't just dump all these on the dirty floor! All my co passengers were also stunned! What standard is Indian Railways maintaining. Atleast when we pay we expect some services too! Really a shame

                                I had booked an i/ticket through irctc portal on 31.7.2016for going to katra on 5.8.2016 & return on 8.8.2016, both the ticket were wait listed (my user-id is account_) pnr no. [protected] for 5.8.16 & [protected] for 8.8.16.in normal course of time the i/tickets are send through courier within 12 hours and its reaches the person within 24 hours.in my case also i got two message from irctc confirming that my tickets have been dispatched through "overnite courier" vide track nos [protected] & [protected]. but inspite of repeated persuasion and follow-up till 4.8.16 the tickets were not delivered,. on website it was showing "out for delivery" "but could not be delivered due to rain". here it is worth to mention that my house is just 3 km away from the local hub "okhla" of the courier company. it was very odd situation for me. i tries to contact irctc help line to sort out the matter and advise how can i travel if the tickets are not delivered before the outward journey date. but no proper reply was provided. at last at about 21.00hrs on 4.8.2016 the courier man came and delivered the tickets. here i want to know why this abnormal delay was taken place, who was responsible. there must be some system that in the case of non delivery of i/ticket the passenger can get a confirmation sms, (can be on specific request) so that at least he can perform the journey.

                                  I am regular customer of irctc and i used to book tickets for me and my husband frequently.
                                  Though we have never ever misused the irctc websites and have been a long time user to book my travel tickets without causing any misconduct, my account was suspended. I have been informed by irctc customer care that i should use different account with different mob number and email id. So then we started using my husband's account. But same thing happened with his account also. Then we tried with new mobile number and email id then with my brother's mob no and email id. Now all 4 accounts are suspended. It is really frustrating.. Without doing any fraud activity / misuse and without giving any notice our accounts are getting blocked. Also i was not informer that what fraud activity happened with all these 4 accounts. Also i realized that it is happening for my users.In a way it is helping irctc to stop fraud activities, but it is affecting genuine users also. Now i don't have different mobile number to register again and i don't want to do that because i lost hope in that. Please help me resolve this issue.

                                      This is to inform you that i did not receive any kind senior citizen concession on my ticket booked from patna to bokaro steel city for 23rd aug, 2016 which i booked on 09th aug, 2016.                                         For cancellation of your ticket, please log in to your account, select the pnr you wish to cancel and cancel your ticket online. Cancellation of your e-ticket is possible only on the website www.irctc.co.in, and is not possible on prs counters.
                                        You can cancel any of the passenger names from the list of passengers on this ticket without affecting the ticket as a whole.
                                        Cancellation of e-tickets
                                        (1) e-ticket can be cancelled online till preparation of charts (Which is normally 4 to 6 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the originating stations. (For trains starting up to 12 noon the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night) or 4 hours before the scheduled departure of boarding the train in case of confirmed ticket or 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of boarding the train in case of rac/wl whichever is earlier. If by any reason you are unable to cancel your ticket on the website till the time of charting please mail to [protected]@irctc.Co.In. User can check their refund status online by clicking "refund status" link after logging in. All refund will be processed as per extent railway refund rules. Please refer refund rules here.
                                        (2) after preparation of charts, the user shall have to file online tdr for claiming refund. Irctc forward the case to concerned zonal railway on the basis of customer request through edr and enhance coaching refund system. The refund case will be decided by railways. The tdr can be filed by the same user who books the ticket. After receipt of the refund amount from railway, it shall be credited only in the same account through which booking was made through opted payment gateway. If by any reason you are unable to file tdr through website please mail to [protected]@irctc.Co.In. User can check tdr/refund status through tdr history. All refund will be process as per extent railway refund rules. Please refer refund rules here.
                                        (3) any refund amount will be credited only in the same account through booking was made by user. Customer is advised not to close that account so that refund amount will be credited back.
                                        For change of boarding station & change in name customer can now approach the nearest railway reservation office with electronic reservation slip print out and photo identity proof mentioned in the electronic reservation slip at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of train as per existing railway rules.
                                        Once you have cancelled your ticket, the fresh details and changes made by you will be available on the cancelled e-tickets history (As a link to site). The refund amount due to you after cancellation will be credited back to the same account which you had used for booking the ticket.
                                        Passengers are advised not to carry inflammable/dangerous/explosive articles as part of their luggage and also to desist from smoking in the trains.
