I had booked 7 tickets for journey on 3rd june 2016 from mangalore central to bangalore city in 16524 karwar express and the ticket status were wl2-wl8. The train was supposed to leave karwar by 2:40pm and reach mangalore central by 8:05pm. Even at 03:46pm (As per sms received time), all the tickets were under wl and 'chart not prepared' was the railways comment. I checked at mangalore central station, where the personnel informed that chart has been prepared and my tickets are still under waiting list. Since they are e-tickets they would get cancelled.
Helpless, i booked bus tickets. Then, at 09:15pm, i received a message stating 3 tickets out of 7 got confirmed. By then the train has left mangalore central station and i was waiting for my bus.

1st concern: refund issued for 2 wl tickets (Pnr - [protected]) is rs.1105, when the booking charges were 1280.5. Why approximately rs.175 got deducted?

2nd concern: refund was not issued for pnr: [protected] which had 3 confirmed tickets (Message received post train departure) and 2 wl tickets.
Since i didn't receive proper intimation from railways on time, i could not board the train. Request you to refund the complete amount for the pnr: [protected].

    I had booked a ticket through irctc from ndls-cnb. Then i clicked on the return ticket button, so all the fields were auto-populated. I just selected my train and confirmed my ticket. After the ticket got booked to my shock it got booked from ndls-cnb again instead of cnb-ndls. Ideally for return ticket the 'from' and 'to' station does reverse, so it should have been booked from cnb-ndls.
    I called irctc customer support but they refused that its a system fault. I also had an interaction over mail but to no good. I am highly disappointed as to how it happened. I am a very frequent traveller and book tickets very often in this manner. Kindly help in this regard.

        Actually I booked train ticket online it's on waiting 4 for falkunama and I cancelled it
        But I didnt get my money back n so can you please check that out. It's already been 6 days from booking
        Sir,
        I didn't get my refund after I cancelled ticket before 1day.
        I booked ticket for falkunama express from Tadepalligudem to vijayanagaram on 27.05.2016 for 31.05.2016 I'm on waiting list 4 then so I cancelled ticket on 30.05.2016 and I got a message that the amount of 740 would be refunded.but I didn't receive any money in my account .
        So please kindly check that.

          Dear sir,

          I am a new user of irctc. While trying to register my mobile number ([protected]) i was unable to, due to it already being registered.

          The issue has been causing me mental agony as i am depending upon others for train bookings. Why cannot irctc for instance do a simple mobile verification. If someone else used my number by mistake, is it my fault i cannot use it again?

          I contacted irctc's customer care in chennai. The person directed me to customer care in delhi. I tried calling several times but there was no response. I sent an email to them regarding the issue, a month later i received the following message from irctc:

          Dear customer,

          Please note that against mobile no. [protected] user id with irctc is 32449782deleted
          And as per the rules once profile details (Mobile no. And email id) is already registered with irctc you can not use the same details in the other user id even after deactivation of the previous user id.

          I sent the following reply with no response so far.

          "thank you for your response.

          This is to inform you that i did not create this id. Someone else had mistakenly used my number to create this id. For what purpose i can't think of. Requesting your kind help to enable me to register a new id using my mobile number, as the user id you provided is now de-active i cannot use the same as well. Your can send an otp to my mobile for verification if needed or i will follow any other verification procedure you require.

          As of now i am depending upon others for train bookings. Kindly suggest solution at earliest

          Thank you once again for your help."

            I had booked a ticket for my friend for howrah - mumbai duronto express. The pnr number is [protected]. I had to cancel my ticket because of private urgencies but when i tried to cancel it on the irctc website, but because of their maintenance break the ticker was not cancelled on time. Then i was directed to file a tdr which is did and i was advised that it will be refunded within 7 days. When i contacted irctc, they said that it may take as much time as they want which was very inconvenient for me.

            After a couple of emails over a period of 2-3 months they ultimately reply me saying that my case has been dismissed with reason that "as per chart, passenger has travelled".

            I was shocked to this statement and when i asked to produce them the reports they didn't reply me back.

            Now my question is that how could the passenger travel when tdr was filed? Even though the chart was prepared, why was it not updated to the railway officials that for pnr [protected], a tdr has been filed.

            I am sure there are lots of consumers like me who has been duped with this kind of vicious practices from irctc.

            Please look onto this matter as i want justice to be done with me.

              Amount deducted :rs. 373/-

              The above amount is deducted from my sbi bank acount but i have not got any booking. Kindly return the same in my account

                Dear Sir/Madam

                I Had already send a mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in but did'nt received any responce from your site.

                I am trying to book a ticket for my sister from last 3 days.
                But @ 11 when I click on Refresh it shows book now option after 2 minutes.

                Please can you tell me how can we book a ticket after 2 minutes, If this site is hacked by someone please try to find it out or Inform common people that this site is only for Brokers.

                Request You to see this matter on priority.

                I used Core I5 laptop 4G airtel net so no possibility of connection slow or lost.

                The site trough you out if we click on payment and then it will not allow to even log in back till 15 minutes i e 11:15.

                  I booked a ticket on 02/05/2016 and made a payment of Rs 1037.25 through internet banking.
                  I cancel this ticket on 27/05/2016 and refund amount of Rs. 600 is showing on the printed canceled ticket.
                  But I got refund of Rs. 107.90+11.45 in my bank account on 31/05/2016.

                  Please refund my full amount as mentioned on on canceled ticket as early as possible.

                    I had booked a ticket on 31.05.2016 bearing PNR number [protected] which was booked on waiting list number 105, but on 01.06.2016 I had seen the list was updated and the waiting list number changed to 11, regarding which I received a confirmation message from irctc. However, my name was not there on the chart prepared, so I contacted a Ticket Checker regarding this. He told me that my ticket has become void and I have to travel with a new ticket. Therefore I booked another general ticket to travel. Now I have some questions : 1. Will I get money refund to my account for the waiting ticket.
                    2. why the checker did not allow me to board on train with the mentioned PNR ticket.
                    3. How does a ticket booked on irctc get void after deducting money from the consumer's account.
                    4. What is the process to get proper information on time regarding such matters.
                    I want my money back with least time gap, since previously I have been cheated in the same manner by IRCTC. When I had cancelled a ticket with PNR [protected] I did not get back the refund money. I made certain complaints regarding that but in vain. Yet now I did not get that money back even after completing all the procedures as instructed by the customer care executive like I made an official complaint online then I forwarded a scan copy of my bank passbook for their reference. How long IRCTC will fool me like this. Please give me an immediate reply and explanation.

                      I booked a ticket from irctc for my journey from tanuku to chennai via circar express pnr number - [protected] journey date - 25 may 2016 i was charged rs.330 + service charges during my booking through online but the ticket was waitlisted /1 and i was told that the ticket will be cancelled automatically and the amount will be refunded. I was not not able travel with the ticket then what is the use of having online booking facilities. Again i had to buy an unreserved to ticket rs.175 to continue my journey tc in the station told me that i can continue the travel in sl by paying the difference amount in the train tc so i boarded in sl class and told that i will pay the amount of difference he charged an excess the difference amount rs.160 + additional rs.250 as excess fare tc asked me to wait in sl coach 4 seat 7 (Reserved for tte) and he will allot me a berth but he got down at vijayawada junction and the new tc asked to move from that seat and no seat/berth will be provided if the rules permit to travel in sl by paying the amount then they should provide a place for the passenger if not they should not charge the amount. I have seen the tc collecting about rs.200 (As bribe) and allowing unreserved ticket passenger to travel in sl class by providing the berth, even the checking squad knows this. What is the use of paying the rs.410/-? So i got down at vijayawada junction and waited for another train by buying super fast ticket of rs.15 finally in tamilnadu express i was able to travel in 2 tier ac by paying rs.860 + rs.40 (Excess fare) total rs.900 and provided with a berth i want to know why rs.250 excess fare charged for circar express ticket (Tc mention it with wrong date) i would like to have a response from irctc and take some actions to prevent these things to happen again in future to any passengers.
                      I lodged the complaint in irctc public grievance portal but no response.

                        Dear Sir / Madam,

                        I booked 5 Nos. 3 tier AC tickets vide PNR [protected] from Surat to Muzaffarpur journey date was[protected].

                        Out of 5 tickets 1 got RAC and 4 didn’t get berth. As per normal understanding which we have faced if i-ticket don’t ‘get confirmed amount will be refunded and you can’t travel with that ticket. Hence I also thought I will get refund for 4 tickets but till now I haven’t received the same.

                        I called yesterday to customer care. After talking to them I got socked they said I will not get money as I haven’t cancel ticket I should have cancelled tickets. See what a normal citizen know is “we will get refund if tickets don’t confirm.

                        I request you to please look into this matter Rs.10000/- is huge money for me please refund my money against which I have not avail services. I had to booked AC ticket as not getting ticket.

                        Please don’t take a common man money without providing services.

                          i've an account in irctc.co.in from 3 months back i've booked tickets from kakinada to banglore and then we logout from that site after 3days we trying to open that id but it shows it your id is disabled when we are trying to login ...if already checked to recover in your site but it shows your email id is invalid

                            I had booked e-ticket bearing pnr no [protected] on 23/05/2016 using my icici credit card through axis bank gateway and cancelled the same ticket in two phases on 24/05/2016. But since then 08 days have been lapsed the refund amount has not been credited to my icici credit card account. I had spoken to your customer care executive and written e-mail to [protected]@irctc.Co.In who have given ticket no #3456830, #3462472, #3462371 and #3463366 but all in vain. Till now the problem is not resolved. Please look into it.

But ticket was not booked through credit card ending with * * * 7861 as some error message was coming.                                   This is regarding the pnr number [protected], i booked a tatkal ticket from ncj to tbm for the journey date 22-may-2016 with the reference of the transaction number [protected] with the total amount of 527.9 rupees + transaction fee of 9.50 rupees through my credit card. The ticket was in wl76 after the chart preparation, so the ticket has been auto-cancelled and i got the refund of 445 rupees per the below mail. I want the justification, if the tatkal ticket is in waiting list and auto cancelled means, we would get the whole amount right? Kindly refund my whole amount spent for this tatkal ticket to my account. Kindly do the needful. Thanks

                                    On 30 May 2016, at 9:30 AM, i have tried to book 3 ticket from Jaipur to Ahmedabad through irctc website. i have made all the formalities including payment details but it was very shocked for me on receipt the message that 'no ticket is available' and simultaneously received message displaying that " thank you for using your SBI Debit card for a purchase on POS SBIRCTC at IRCTC txn#[protected].it is very mentally harassed to me . when no ticket is booked by irctc then how can they debited the money from me. this is against the law of contract. for which why the penalty should not be imposed against the irctc. you are requested to take necessary action against the irctc.

                                      We booked four tickets for jammu tawi in 3a ac class and the train no. Is 09021. We got the message that ticket is confirmed. Yesterday, i checked pnr status and suddenly i'm seen that the train is cancelled. The train is cancelled without any kind of mail, text or information so tell me now how we going to jammu without any reservation. Now, we are face lot of problems for travel to jammu. We don't get any train cancellation message yet. We are in lot of trouble now. I requested you to give us full refund from tickets and please give to compensation for your service. We want to positive reply from your side.

                                      Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                      This site is totally fraud .As soon you submit any complain regarding any refund related, Within half an hour you will receive a call saying that they are calling from irctc headoffice. They will ask you to visit nearest atm and saying that they will provide SBI cash voucher as a refund do not visit to the atm as they are total fraud.They have cheated me and withdrawn 2000 Rs from my account for further contact me on below number [protected].(Mayank)

                                        Railway catering staffs are not supplying the foods and drinks as per the rates fixed by IRCTC.
                                        Mostly cheating the passengers by charging more.
                                        Bette all the food supply staffs should have approved rate chart, so that passanger can verify and buy as per the approved rates.
                                        Witnessed in my travel they are charging more Rs. 5 to Rs.10 than the approved rates.
                                        Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
