Sir,
I was trying to book a tatkal ticket from the site irctc on[protected]. I have logged in through my irctc id and started booking a ticket from secunderabad to rourkela (Darbhanga express, train no. 17007). After the payment, i received a sms from sbi saying that rs.704 (Pos sbirctc txn#[protected] had been debited from my account but when seen in the booked ticket history of irctc it had shown no sign of bookings.
So, i request you to please look into this matter and and help me getting my money refunded.

    I booked my ticket twice on tow consecutive days. Both were failed bookings with payment settled. The second transaction went through smoothly with the payment, however, giving the message, "no seats available. Transaction dropped." I request you to kindly check into the matter and refund the hard earned of the users as fast as possible. Also, I would like to state that I was very early while making the booking, so the number of tatkal seats available was definitetly not zero. So, kindly delve into the matter so that consumers are not troubled.

      Your mail received in 1st june 2016 regarding the refund of cancelled e-ticket as “the information provided is insufficient for us to check. We request you to give us your pnr no./user-id with irctc and date-of-booking/date-of-journey/transaction-id generated from irctc, so that we may pursue the matter.”, i submitted all the details in 2nd june 2016. However i do not received any response from your side. Once again i submitted all the details so that irctc refund. Rs 3855/- in my a/c earliest. If, there is any problem let me clear and guide where i have to complain for the same. The details are given below

          Hello Sir/Madam,

          IRCTC provides an option to confirm the ticket only if meets the required criteria selected by the customer like
          1) Confirm only if seats allotted in same coach
          2) Confirm only if one lower berth is allotted

          My wife checked the option 2 as mentioned above.
          As she is not comfortable to travel over the middle berth due to overweight.
          She had limited balance in her account and when IRCTC responded there is no lower seat available, do you want to proceed ? she responded NO.
          Then also IRCTC allowed the transaction to process through a 3rd party payment gateway. As a result, Neither the tickets were confirmed nor there was enough balance left in the account to look for available seats in other trains and she left helpless and disturbed. I called the customer care they are telling it will be refunded in 5 working days that does not make any sense at all. Why to wait for my own money so long for no mistake.

          I am a software engineer and i do understand its a flaw in the software.
          As the world of IT says, Software is basically the automation of the manual system. So when we book a ticket at the railway counter, if we ask to confirm the lower berth only then they will not ask us to pay the entire fare first. They can confirm the lower berth is available or not without any charge.
          Now it will be the customer's choice whether to book a ticket or not. Similarly IRCTC software must not allow the 3rd party to process the transaction without meeting the customer's requirements. The transaction must happen only if the ticket is confirmed meeting all the requirements of the customer.

              I cancelled the following railway tickets booked by me from my id on irctc.Co.In :

              As per irctc website, ticket cancellation charges for ac 3 tier confirmed ticket is rs 90 per passenger. However, rs 205 per passenger has been deducted as the cancellation charge by irctc for pnr [protected]. This was a confirmed ac 3 tier ticket booked by me.
              Similarly, for waitlisted ticket pnr [protected], cancellation charge of rs 80 has been charged per passenger. This was a waitklisted ticket in ac 3 tier booked by me.

              Also, for my other two tickets bangalore to mumbai, pnr [protected] and [protected] which were booked in ac 3rd tier and were in status rac and confirmed respectively, different amounts have been deducted as rs 90 and rs 205 respectively.

              I want to know why different amounts have been deducted as cancellation charges for me when the cancellation charges for confirmed /waitlisting tickets are fixed.

              Note : all these tickets were cancelled 9 days before the date of journey.

                I have been trying to get a lower berth for my wife with my 7 month old baby, but keep getting only middle berth even there are 210 seats available seats. I tried when there were 225 seats, got MB only so I was forced to cancel the ticket and re-book but still getting only MB. It’s not first time have been facing this problem, it happened many times before and I lost only money by canceling the tickets be never got LB. I don’t understand why am paying more money for reservation if i am not getting berth preference for valid reason. It seems like intentionally the system has been setup to make more money for the government and also I started facing problem since then the new cancellation policy got effective.

                  I had booked my Ticket for 6 passengers having Pnr- [protected] on dated 22 April 2016 for journey date 16 may 2016.But unfortunately the ticket wasn't confirmed, it remain in waiting list. So the ticket gets automatically cancelled. And i got a message that Rs-2125 .00 will be refunded in my bank account.But till now on dated 07/06/16, i didn't get any refund from I.R.C.T.C.

                    My ticket cancellation charges is close to 50% deduction. I had wrote an email few times but only get automatic response. The problem wasn't resolved. Irctc contact nos and email is a fraud, no response or defunct.

                    After so many days still the site was non-responsive. I am not satisfied with their automatic computer generated message. Give me an explanation for the thieving charges.

                        I had booked 7 tickets for journey on 3rd june 2016 from mangalore central to bangalore city in 16524 karwar express and the ticket status were wl2-wl8. The train was supposed to leave karwar by 2:40pm and reach mangalore central by 8:05pm. Even at 03:46pm (As per sms received time), all the tickets were under wl and 'chart not prepared' was the railways comment. I checked at mangalore central station, where the personnel informed that chart has been prepared and my tickets are still under waiting list. Since they are e-tickets they would get cancelled.
                        Helpless, i booked bus tickets. Then, at 09:15pm, i received a message stating 3 tickets out of 7 got confirmed. By then the train has left mangalore central station and i was waiting for my bus.

                        1st concern: refund issued for 2 wl tickets (Pnr - [protected]) is rs.1105, when the booking charges were 1280.5. Why approximately rs.175 got deducted?

                        2nd concern: refund was not issued for pnr: [protected] which had 3 confirmed tickets (Message received post train departure) and 2 wl tickets.
                        Since i didn't receive proper intimation from railways on time, i could not board the train. Request you to refund the complete amount for the pnr: [protected].

                          I had booked a ticket through irctc from ndls-cnb. Then i clicked on the return ticket button, so all the fields were auto-populated. I just selected my train and confirmed my ticket. After the ticket got booked to my shock it got booked from ndls-cnb again instead of cnb-ndls. Ideally for return ticket the 'from' and 'to' station does reverse, so it should have been booked from cnb-ndls.
                          I called irctc customer support but they refused that its a system fault. I also had an interaction over mail but to no good. I am highly disappointed as to how it happened. I am a very frequent traveller and book tickets very often in this manner. Kindly help in this regard.

                              Actually I booked train ticket online it's on waiting 4 for falkunama and I cancelled it
                              But I didnt get my money back n so can you please check that out. It's already been 6 days from booking

                              I booked ticket for falkunama express from Tadepalligudem to vijayanagaram on 27.05.2016 for 31.05.2016 I'm on waiting list 4 then so I cancelled ticket on 30.05.2016 and I got a message that the amount of 740 would be refunded.but I didn't receive any money in my account .

                                Dear sir,

                                I am a new user of irctc. While trying to register my mobile number ([protected]) i was unable to, due to it already being registered.

                                The issue has been causing me mental agony as i am depending upon others for train bookings. Why cannot irctc for instance do a simple mobile verification. If someone else used my number by mistake, is it my fault i cannot use it again?

                                I contacted irctc's customer care in chennai. The person directed me to customer care in delhi. I tried calling several times but there was no response. I sent an email to them regarding the issue, a month later i received the following message from irctc:

                                Dear customer,

                                Please note that against mobile no. [protected] user id with irctc is 32449782deleted
                                And as per the rules once profile details (Mobile no. And email id) is already registered with irctc you can not use the same details in the other user id even after deactivation of the previous user id.

                                I sent the following reply with no response so far.

                                "thank you for your response.

                                This is to inform you that i did not create this id. Someone else had mistakenly used my number to create this id. For what purpose i can't think of. Requesting your kind help to enable me to register a new id using my mobile number, as the user id you provided is now de-active i cannot use the same as well. Your can send an otp to my mobile for verification if needed or i will follow any other verification procedure you require.

                                As of now i am depending upon others for train bookings. Kindly suggest solution at earliest

                                  I had booked a ticket for my friend for howrah - mumbai duronto express. The pnr number is [protected]. I had to cancel my ticket because of private urgencies but when i tried to cancel it on the irctc website, but because of their maintenance break the ticker was not cancelled on time. Then i was directed to file a tdr which is did and i was advised that it will be refunded within 7 days. When i contacted irctc, they said that it may take as much time as they want which was very inconvenient for me.

                                  After a couple of emails over a period of 2-3 months they ultimately reply me saying that my case has been dismissed with reason that "as per chart, passenger has travelled".

                                  I was shocked to this statement and when i asked to produce them the reports they didn't reply me back.

                                  Now my question is that how could the passenger travel when tdr was filed? Even though the chart was prepared, why was it not updated to the railway officials that for pnr [protected], a tdr has been filed.

                                  I am sure there are lots of consumers like me who has been duped with this kind of vicious practices from irctc.

                                  Please look onto this matter as i want justice to be done with me.

                                        I booked a ticket on 02/05/2016 and made a payment of Rs 1037.25 through internet banking.
                                        I cancel this ticket on 27/05/2016 and refund amount of Rs. 600 is showing on the printed canceled ticket.
                                        But I got refund of Rs. 107.90+11.45 in my bank account on 31/05/2016.

                                        Please refund my full amount as mentioned on on canceled ticket as early as possible.
