I wanted to complain against IRCTC cancellation charges. They are nothing but a ripoff of customer money. I had booked an e-ticket for 4 passengers for 29th April which was in W/L status at the time of booking. Since the ticket had not moved i had to plan for alternatives i chose to cancel the ticket (was in W/L 79 thru 82). IRCTC deducted 60 rupees per passenger on a wait-listed ticket. I feel railways is using cancellation as a mode of earning money. Their cancellation policy on W/L tickets is vague (Policy states If your ticket is not confirmed and is under the status of RAC or Wait-listed ticket, no cancellation charges for railway tickets are applied Rather, clerk-age charges is deducted from the cost of the ticket and balance amount is refunded to the bank account / credit card account).

I don't understand what clerk-age is there on a e-ticket. where the cancellation is done by the customer

but when we cancel the ticket, service charge which was deducted on ticket will not be refunded.
if there is no service by railway. why they are not refunding the service charged money.

    This is to inform you that the AC duct above seat number 51 and 52 in coach number C1 was defective and the area was freezing. We complained to the AC technician MR. Keshavan as well as the TTR. After repeated complaints, the technician stuck a paper over the leakage point with cello tape as a solution. When we asked the technician for the complaint book, he said that it is available with the TTR and did not give it to us.

    We request you to seriously look into the matter and rectify the same.

      Hi, I am Ramesh..I booked many tatkal tickets back in 2012 to 2015, may be i failed 2 or 3 times and most of the times it was successful,
      but, I was wondering why Indian government removed "ID verification" for Tatkal members??
      "Is this to increase the income of other persons"?
      or any specific reason behind that??
      If no ID is implemented many brokers can book the ticket and they can sell at higher prices and that is negative for the current government..
      If government is for the people then reconsider the ID verification for tatkal tickets, so many people will get benefit.
      If it is done by IRCTC., which is combination of Govt. and private then they should keep it public view for 6 months
      and based on the views you can decide.
      There is no public view for that, does that mean government is supporting the private guys individually ??
      So can you reply for that??

        Dear sir,
        I have sent several mails to [protected]@irctc.Co.In and tdr department but nothing getting different different excuses from them regarding the refund amount aginst pnr [protected].
        Today i spoke irctc complain department and heard one more excuse that you have done tdr files against only one passenger but tdr done by [protected]@irctc.Co.In as i requested by mails because the server was down of irctc that time so i send a mail to them to do the tdr by 4.19pm on journey date and also clearly mentioned the reason for tdr file that passenger not travel due to not confirm 2nd ticket as u can check in trail mail for your reference.
        I send a mail for tdr file to [protected]@irctc.Co.In and [protected]@irctc.Co.In by 4.19pm on[protected] and received acknowledge copy from [protected]@irctc.Co.In(Ticket id [irctc #2976805].)by 4.24pm on same day but etickets did the tdr late and now giving different different excuses when i call for feedback of my refund amount.
        I request you take serious action against etickets and tdr depatment and ask to refund the amount asap.
        Note-i took another tickets on[protected] for same passenger as pnr no-
        [protected].- for you reference.

          Dear sir/madam, i had booked a ticket from et to ltt journey date 27march2016, but the train got late from more than 7 hours.I had filed the tdr on the same day at 27-mar-2016 22:06:02 hrs.The status of tdr showing cr repudiate.I was waiting for the train but the train got late so much so i have filled the tdr little late.Please help me on this asap.                         Catering serive of New Delhi to Dibrugarh Radhani Express and return thereof. What ever food is supplies are very low standard which human generally not take. Quantity also not as per norms. Very less quantify used to served.Tea kits, tiffin etc. served are unknown companies. Timing also not maintained. Menu also fixed by the serving authority. No food is servied other than normal menu fixed by them for all the time.

                        I used to travel other Rajdhani Express also but not found like above.

                        Moreover, waiter are pressed the passenger for good amount of Trips lie Rs. 100/- per passenger.

                        When Manager the Pentry Car is called he never takes any action.

                        Food is not served in proper way now store higenically.

                        Bed roll supplied are very darty and store in darty place. Goods are not waste properly, sometime without wasting the goods supplied.

                        All the above mentioned complain is regular and usual in this train as mentioned above.

                        AT the same time I want to mentioned here that in other trains meal supplied from pentry car are very very low quality and quentity which generally human do not eat. More over per meal rate is more then Rajdhani Express train. There is not value of Menu rate. For example - menu rate for veg. meal is Rs. 55 whereas they charged Rs. 90/- to Rs/ 110-/ per meal. Item served are Dal mixed with Rice drain water, veg carry where veg. is not seen. 75-100 grams of rice.

                        If, there is no inspector is there for inspection, it is better to stop the catering service in Rajdhani Express and other trains so that passenger can not be loted nor spending money and take 4th class food from Indian Railway Pantry service.

                        It can also be mentioned here that in Rajdhani Express Charged with ticket Rs. 545/- as catering service from Guwahati to New Delhi but supplied food if counted it will mix. come to Rs. 150/- to Rs. 200/-.

                        It is my special request that better to stop the charging of catering service charge alongwith ticket and some action may kindly be taken regarding catering service, bed rol service and cleaning of compartment where usually seen rates running around and below the seat.

                        All the above have been explain by me as I am regular passenger of long distance trains specially Rajdhani Express from Guwahati to New Delhi.

                          I booked on 7th february 2016 from allahabad to kazipet, i got rlwl 11, 12, 13, 14 nos. After two months there is no change of waiting list nos. And more i have not informed about tickets confirmation. When ever we shown the chart there is not confirmation of our tickets. I dont know what is the my tickets position. At least u have inform our tickets position to us, because we are waiting from last two months. U must sent our tickets position before 3 to 4 hrsof leaving train is very useful. We very much hurry and got inconvienence. 8th february i booked another two tickets they were confirmed. I dont know what is going on your irctc system. Why should u shown rlwl, it is useless. Just simple u put regretted. Any have if ticket is not confirmed minimum courtesy to inform us. We got more inconvenence with irctc.

                              I got my ticket booked from IRCTC on 11-Mar-2016 for travel from Faridkot to New Delhi. On two different attempts, the amount was deducted twice for which the respective banking account statement has already been shared with IRCTC.

                              I have tried writing email to IRCTC 3-4 times but no resolution has been provided. Even tried calling customer care but to no respite.

                              In my ticket booking history too, there is only single ticket which is being shown as booked.

                              Don't know when IRCTC will start paying attention to customer complaints.

                                Hello,

                                I booked a tatkal ticket from NDLS to ALD, PNR [protected] for 22-Mar-2016, that was in CKWL and ticket was automatically canceled whet chart prepared. Since we dint travel,
                                I got a message saying the amount will be refunded, which never happened till now. I have mailed 2 times to [protected]@irctc.co.in but not get any response.

                                Please help me get this refunded at the earliest. Please let me know if you need any other detail.

                                  I am holding SBI IRCTC Credit card

                                  I attempted to book ticket on 13th January - Chennai to Salem - using my above credit card and amount is debited - INR 2, 705.64. But ticket was not issued

                                  (Hence I tried again and booked another ticket using payment option "redeem"...and waitlisted ticket was issued - PNR No. [protected] Transaction ID: [protected] for amount INR 2, 605.80)

                                  Today, I checked my credit card statement and found that INR 2, 705.64 is debited and it is not credited back in my account. When I contacted SBI they told the payment is processed vide transaction no. 017998 and requested to contact IRCTC. Please find attached the SBI statement for your kind reference.

                                  I am chasing & following IRCTC past three months. yet to get refund..

                                    Dear sir, on 06/04/16morning 7 30am i booked a ticket on thathkal in my irctc id Joice2078. the ticket is from Bangalore Krishnarajapuram to Chennai Central and the ticket is in the name of Balachander 45/Joice 38/Shubin 14/Susan 12 of journey is on 7/4/2016. for this an amount of 1562.90 was debited from my HDFC credit card [protected] at 07:21:13 at irctc 11779 code. for this i didn't got any sms message. on that i seen my booking history in that the said ticket is not booked. I was asked me to mail to you. sir this is the first time that i am getting this type of error. i didn't taken the pnr number because of my over confidence that irctc wont have a complaint. i request you to look into it and do the needful

                                      I have booked two tickets for Train 17603 from kachiguda to yeshwantpur to be departed on 19-03-16 Time : 21:00. I have canceled it on 17-03-16 Time: 13:26:33.                                         Account is disabled. I spoke to customer care executive, and was told to drop a mail. I did sent a mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in . I received an automated message with ticket id IRCTC #3168391. I have not received any further info.
