I am a middle class person doing service in a private company and I am required to travel 4-5 times in a month to be with my family.
I have been using IRCTC website to book my tickets during all these years & have never promoted or bought tickets from agents since I believe that genuine travellers like me will suffer if any person buys tickets from agents.
I have always booked rail tickets for myself & my family through my user id on IRCTC website.

However, I was surprised to find my user id blocked in last week on IRCTC website under the claim of fraudulent activities from my login id.

Most importantly till today you have not clarified on what grounds & what reasons you have blocked my id.

Upon going through internet, I understand that there are many more of such genuine users like me who have faced this problem.

As per the feedback on the various websites on internet, there is no clarification given by IRCTC on why the account is blocked and they are least bothered to answer to customer calls/emails.

It seems that our government & the railways ministry have taken a vow to harass genuine and law abiding citizens and indirectly are supporting railway agents.
However, inspite of reading all this feedback on internet, I approached the IRCTC customer call centre and explained my problem.

The customer care executive named- Vikas was too arrogant & did not have any manners how to answer to the customers.

Such type of treatment was very well expected since IRCTC is a government entity and executives in our government are corrupt, mannerless & do not want to work but to harass genuine users.

He rudely asked me to send an email & informed that you would get the solution over email only.
When I asked his full name, he disconnected the phone.

When all the private companies can get a problem solved over customer care no., even get the banking & finance transactions done on the helpline nos. why IRCTC is insisting on giving feedback by email?

1. Is IRCTC doing this purposely so that they can block personal users under any false claim?
2. When an individual books ticket for himself & his family only, why IRCTC wants to block the personal user id?
3. If any personal user id books 4 or 6 or 8 tickets (including to & fro tickets) in a month for him & his family why does IRCTC want to block such users?
3. If some one wants to cancel the ticket through that user id & if it is blocked then how does one cancel his/her ticket?
4. Does IRCTC & its expert panel think on the effects of their decisions on genuine users? Or they are purposely turning a blind eye on these facts?
5. Does IRCTC, by blocking personal users want to indirectly push the sale of rail tickets to agents and earn commission from these agents?
6. Why the agents working on railway stations & ticket booking windows not put behind bars first ?
7. Why there is no toll free no. for customer care no.? Is this done in order to prevent genuine users to call on chargeable nos. & ask for resolving the complaints?
8. This seems to be a well thought plan of IRCTC/Railways to promote & push sales of tickets through railway agents so they can earn big commission from agents in form of cash & unaccounted money.
9. Why are such critical decisions taken without any thoughts on their results?

By blocking this login it seems that IRCTC is pushing me to approach "their agents" to book tickets.

Currently I am unable to create any other login since i do not have other mobile no. nor email id.

In case of any doubts I do challenge & invite any IRCTC authorities to verify & check for the authenticity of these facts.

    I had booked One ticket in LJN Swarn Shatabdi, Train No: 12004, Chair Class on 11th January 2016 from Ghaziabad (GZB) to Lucknow (LJN), Transaction ID is[protected] and PNR No. is [protected]. I had booked this ticket for 2 Passengers but due to some reason travelled only one person. So after 2 days of Departure of Train I filed TDR but till now I couldn't get any refund amount. Please help me. Thank you...

        I had booked a train ticket from delhi to jammu tawi journey date 22nd feb 2016 against the prno [protected] and the tranction no is [protected] and the train no is 14645 shalimar express the ticket was purchased on line but unfortunbately the train got cancelled because of jat agetation in haryana i got the sms on my regesterd mobile no and it was mentioned on the railway web site in the cancelled train list on 22nd feb 2016 and it is still on the wab site of railway when i try to contact irctc for my refund the answer was that the zonal railway did not update there system and it was telecasted on air by the government of india that the refund for the cancelled trains on the mentionbed dates the refund will be credeted to there respective acounts and no3w they denying to give the refund now may i request for your intervention for the same

          I requested for closer of my IRCTC UBI prepaid card on 13Feb2016 (Reference no. [protected]) due to poor payment infrastructure o[censored]BI bank. Till now balance amount is NOT refunded to my bank account.

          I got response from [protected]@unionbankofindia.com once that money has been remitted to my account but its actually not. Since them I am sending the email to confirm the bank and/or account details of credit but there is no reply what so ever. Even their toll free help desk[protected] is not able to provide proper update on the issue.

          Visited local UBI branch and they are also unable to give update on IRCTC prepaid card closure.

          NEVER EVER GET THIS CARD...

            Dear IRCTC Team,
            May i know the reason why my money is not refundable? I am challenging
            you IRCTC to prove that i have traveled on 15 th feb on NDLS CNB
            shatabdi 12034. i have sufficient evidence to prove that i have not
            traveled on that day.

            I am facing this harassment 2-3 times and this time I am not gonna
            bear this anymore.
            One thing i also wanna clarify that on 15 feb i was traveling from
            Bathinda to new delhi by train Intercity express 12482 and on the
            same day there was Jaat Aandolan in Haryana thats why my train route
            had been diverted and it reached on old delhi railway station some
            where around 5:30 pm and by that time my connecting train that is ndls
            cnb shatabdi had already departed from its scheduled departure I.e
            3:50 pm, so there is no question on that i have traveled through
            shatabdi.And the reason which i quoted "travel without proper ID
            proof" is because at that time your website was not taking any other
            reason, so i have no other option except this. moral of the story is
            that i have not traveled that day by train no. 12054.

            kindly sort out the issue ASAP otherwise i am gonna escalate this
            issue with all the sources which i have eg. Mr Prabhu twitter handle,
            social media, facebook, consumer forum etc.

            i am attaching all the proof as well.

              Hi,

              I have Booked the ticket from IRCTC site, but the train got cancelled.

              I called to 139 railway inquiry and they have updated me for the cancellation, I have already email to the [protected]@irctc.co.in with all the details, but there is no response from there side.

              Now I am checking the PNR status its showing CR Registered.

                With due respect i wish to inform you that i have booked e-ticket through irctc against id #2974346. At the time of journey train cancelled by indian railways due to reason haryana jat reservation. I have call to 139 & irctc phone no.[protected] customer care executive & they told me no need to file tdr against train cancellation . The ticket amount will be refunded automatically in your account with in 5-7 days. But till date not refund credit in my account.Then i called to irctc & 139 . I have already e-mail ([protected]@irctc.Co.In & [protected]@irctc.Co.In) . Today i have contact to irctc & they told me that you have not filed tdr against train cancellation. So your refund has been cancelled & your complaint is closed. This is not my fault, any type of confusion and misunderstanding create through irctc side. So please reopen my case & refund fare against above mentioned pnr: [protected], train no-12716, s/l, doj:21/2/2016,

                i shall be very thankful for this act.

                Dear Sir,

                I am also facing same problem due to Haryana Jat Agitation.

                My train 12918 [PNR [protected]] was cancelled at source station on date 22/02/16 for scheduled departure date 23/02/16 due to Jat agitation. Cancellation status was displayed in irctc portal and I had cancelled the ticket on 22/02/16 via irctc.

                Recently, I checked the refund status and came to know that train was later re-scheduled and my cancellation request was aborted due to irctc portal failure.

                I also contacted customer service around 26-28 feb, and was advised to wait since train was cancelled initially.

                On 10/03, through email/telephone conversations with irctc, I was informed that refund will not be given since train was re-scheduled and no cancellation request was available in system

                To support my arguments, I am attaching train cancellation notification for date 22/02.

                I have following questions:

                1. Since train was cancelled at any point of time, as per railway rules I should get my refund back automatically.

                2. No notification was given regarding rescheduling of train.


                I had already gone through inconvenience due to train cancellation on 23/02, I request you to address my complaint with some positive resolution.

                      Sir,
                      I made a booking from pune to secunderabad jn on 16 january 2016 but due to single problem i didnt get otp code so i didnt conformed my booking. But amount was debited from my account amount of rs.382.90/- .My booking transcation id is [protected]. And not only that i also made a complaint at sbi also but they concluded that amount was transfered to irctc. But irctc says no amount is transfred. I submitted my bank accoumt statement to irctc but thay ignored it.
                      please consider my complaint as soon as possible. thanking you.

                        I booked an e-ticket to Tirunelveli from Chennai in First AC with PNR [protected] in Tiruchendur Express. (Train No.16105) on 10.03.2016. We had a death news and the passenger had to come back from Chengalpattu. I filed a TDR. But when I called Railways enquiry, they say it's not possible to refund for part travelled ticket. The cost of the ticket was 1510+45. Please advice.

                          Booked train from kozhikode to panvel for 10.03.16 garibreth 3ac. Tried to cancel the ticket on 09.03.16 via irctc registered a/c, but unable to find any of the transaction details for cancellation. It was mentioned that pnr no is invalid( it was confirmed reservation and no transaction id was provided).
                          Pnr:[protected]...Train:12202. Thejes v, g10 30fare:1025. Confirmation msg was recived on 25.02.16.

                          Waiting for refund for the same.

                            Hi,
                            One day I tried to login my account and it was deactivated, when send mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in, only thing I am getting that some fraudulent Nget activity happens so account deactivated, I requested to activate account, but answer was create other account. When I am trying then it is saying phone no already registered.

                            I sent many mails around 12 mails to [protected]@irctc.co.in only reply I get is automated mail that your complain(ticket) id is this.

                            I even got new phone connection but no i got is not fresh one (may be some other disconnected no) I tried to register irctc account with that also but, it was also already registered may be by its previous owner.

                            Now please help me to activate my previous account. If any kind suspicious activity, then I will give explanation where possible.

                            Or delete my exiting phone no from my existing account so that I can create new one.

                            So many mails I send but no reply.
                            I booked ticket earlier before my account was deactivated but on the travel day when I tried to login to get sms, my account was deactivated.

                            I was using my irctc account from almost 6 years.

                            Please help me to create a irctc account or reactivate my previous one.

                            I am highly dependent on Indian Railways for travel but because of this situation I am not able to book train tickets.

                            Hope my voice will be answered and corrective action will be taken.

                              IRCTC ref No 3003397. I am unable to login to my IRCTC website. As soon as I feed my username and password and click Submit, the next page does not open. I am unable to book tickets etc. I am a regular user and I have booked so many tickets for self and family.This sudden change is making my travelling very difficult.

                              I have sent emails and also spoke to IRCTC over phone over the last 7-8 days but the problem remains intact with no relief whatsoever.

                                As my User Id is not active, I had sent a mail to the id care # irctc.co.in on the Feb 28'2016. Even after two reminders on an follow up email & one personal chat to an customer service representative- THIS HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED.

                                I am wondering if we take 3 weeks just to activate one id, how will the indian railways register profit.If not done now, I will write to ministry of Indian Railways for further action.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I have cancelled three tickets on 16th Jan. 2016 and on 18th Jan. 2016 it show the amount has been refunded but til date i have not received my refund amount.

                                    I have already complain about it in customer care vide complain no.#2919772. But it is so unfortunate and disgusting that customer care is always coming up with new excuse. I have mailed & called customer care for about 20 times in past 2 month. But no refund was credited in my account till date.

                                    I would like to bring to your notice that while booking my ticket i have used SBI - IRCTC credit card to pay my booking amount and have choose Citi Bank as my gate way.

                                    Kindly look into the matter and provide the refund at the earliest.

                                      On 5th february, I have booked one tickect on the name of Sanjeev Kumar Singamsetty through IRCTC from Vizag to Bangalore for travelling on17th February date with transaction ID: [protected], but the PNR number was not generated. Then I called immediately to irctc customercare and they said that they will be sending the PNR number and tikcete within 15 mnutes. I have taken the same ticket print out and went to airport on 17th February and AirAsia said that this tickect was wrong PNR number and it is with other person name (Suneetha Singamsetty) with the other transaction ID ([protected]). Then I called again to irctc customer care and they said and agreed that they send wrong ticket to me. And irctc customercare executive told to travel by booking another ticket from air asia. He agreed that, there is a mistake from IRCTC side and the amount which I spend for new ticket will be refunded fully to me and he told that he is filing this complaint and the total money will be refunded. Then I booked the ticket. The ticket cost was Rs: 5585 and the PNR number was QIFL9N. He told that he is going to arrange call back to me, but not arranged till date. Then, I only called to IRCTC customer care again and informed to IRCTC executive about the total incident happend. Then he told to sent an email by mentioning all the details and the money will be refunded. I send email and till now no response. finally today IRCTC executive told they will not refund the money and money will not be refunded and he told to proceed legally and the information given by the respective executive is individuals opinion and IRCTC is not responsible. Please refund the total money which I spent extra because of IRCTC mistake.

                                        Ticket was canceled on 23/2/2016 but no refund till date and this is a continuous practice. they have done so many time this to me . i will file a case on irctc if no refund will be done this time.
