I tried booking a ticket through paytm for irctc on 25 feb. The payment was succsefull from paytm but the ticket didnt get booked. I contacted irctc. They said amount will be refunded but has not been yet. I keep sending mails but nobody responds.

    Dear sir, my self hissabuddin.my cont no is [protected].i had booked tatkal tickets from irctc in gorakhdham exp form gorakhpur junction to new delhi on 20feb 2016 and the date of journey 21feb 2016.my pnr no-[protected] and [protected]. i called 139 for check the status of the train and they told me this train has cancelled.and i got the massage from irctc of cancelled the train on 21feb 2016.but 22feb 2016 morning i again got the massage from irctc that my seats has confirmed.on that time i called 139 and talk with costumer care and they told me not an issue your train has cancelled and your refund will be back on your account within 6 to 7 working days.i again call the irctc on 28feb 2016 and they told me that you are not liable for the refund because according to our record this train had departed on 21feb 2016 from gorakhpur to new delhi.and they told me that if you have proof of cancelled the train than you can send us mail with the proof of this mail id [protected]@irctc.co.in.becouse i have all the conversation recording proof and massage.so i sent the mail of this mail id.but irctc are not refunding my amount its around 4000 Rs.and i have all proof of train cancelled.please take the positive action of this complain.

      I have reserved ac3 tier ticket pnr no [protected] train no 18237 journey date 22/02/2016 chattishgarh express Raipur to Habibganj confiremed ticket B3 berth 9.I have recd sms from DM-IRSMSA that train has been cancelled .I have also cheked from web site, it has shown train is cancelled.I have not received the refund till 2/03/2016.Please release payment in bank account .

          Dear sir,
          I would like to submit a tdr case pnr number [protected], it is submitted that the scheduled train was diverted on the date of journey i.E.[protected] due to jatt andolan
          I call the customer care so many times but there was no information available even from jalandhar cantt ( jrc ) railway station, which was the boarding station. Due to jatt agitation, all trains to destination station i.E. Rohtak ( rok ) were getting either cancelled or diverted..
          The said journey never took place and the passengers not even made an attempt to board the train.
          It is therefore humbly submitted that 100% refund should be paid as no service was utilised rather it was an inconvenience to the passengers due to train getting diverted.

            Dear Sir/Madam,

            This compliant is with reference to one of the rules that is being followed in IRCTC for the Waiting List category of E-tickets and the cancellation charges for automatic cancellation.

            When a consumer's E-Ticket booked in IRCTC for a travel in a scheduled train is happened to be on waiting list category at the time of booking and if it status is 'Waiting List' at the time of chart preparation, the E-ticket will gets cancelled automatically. If that person travels with that ticket, he is treated as ticket less passenger and illegal.

            Why not the E-Ticket is given the same options as that with the tickets reserved at the counter. Why not the E-ticket waiting list is also allowed to be in the queue and to get cleared even after the chart preparation?

            Also the cancellation charges are too high for automatic cancellation. Isn't IRCTC suppose to refund the full amount back to the customer when you are not able to allocate the seat? And that too customer is notified about cancellation just 2-3 hrs before scheduled departure. Now customer has to find an alternate way for travel. You are literally putting the customer in trouble for the journey.

            I booked a ticket Feb-28-2016 Train#16859 for KRR to TBM Rs.257.9 (235 + SC 22.9), paid Rs.261.74 (Including bank charges). Ticket remained in WL after chart preparation and it means that ticket is cancelled automatically, got the message that only Rs.175 will be refunded. I really dont understand any justification in the refund amount. IRCTC is not able to allocate the seat, are they not suppose to refund full fare? atleast base Fare Rs. 235 ?

            I totally agree with cancellation charges levied for tickets cancelled by the passengers. But definitely IRCTC should re-consider the refund policy for automatically cancelled tickets when not able to provide seats. Hope IRCTC would take some action against this complaint.

            Yet another booking experience in online with Tatkal booking. I was trying to book a Tatkal from ED to MAS on 5/16/2016 to travel on 5/17/2016. Total payment made was Rs.415 + 22.90 and including bank charges it was Rs.449.35. After payment was processed it went to Tatkal Waiting list (CKWL). What I heard from internet blogs is that GNWL (General Waiting List) has more preference than CKWL. So I dont understand why they allow Waiting list in Tatkal. This is simply a way of looting people's money. As expected my Tatkal waiting list didnt go thru, so after chart preparation it is cancelled and you are not allowed to travel. And the fare is automatically refunded to your payment bank. I got a refund of Rs.355. So I lost Rs.94.35 for this booking. IRCTC website says for SL class Rs.60 will be charged for cancelled tickets in WL. This is very very frustrating situation. This is simply a scenario of how govt system is looting people's money officially... Really IRCTC has to think about this issue and correct the system. I totally agree with charges made for cancellation done by the passangers. But why am I charged for a ticket cancelled by IRCTC due to unavailability of seats???

                When the username and password has been saved in the auto-fill settings, the Year in the Card Expiry date field and CVV number field gets auto filled with the username and password respectively. I have faced this issue everytime a ticket has been booked.

                    I was waiting for tdr reply, they are speaking lie
                    Case : i booked this ticket pnr [protected] on 21st feb through website .
                    But on 22nd feb 2:47 am i was received the massage saying that
                    .. Train no 18478 has been cancelled due to some unavoidable reasons,
                    Sorry for inconviniance caused to the passangers on my registerd
                    Mobile no [protected]. We were ready for the station in 22nd feb
                    Morning but when i seen this massage we stopped. What we can do, on
                    That day jat andolan was going on in haryana, due to this approx 537
                    Train were cancelled, so i believed that this train may also be
                    Cancelled . Then i searched on google and seen that this train has
                    Not been started from originating station, which was scheduled to be
                    Started at 6:45 at haridwar junction, now i was sure that train is
                    Cancelled . But in evening i seen that train is started 10:40 am, 4
                    Hour late, but i did not received any massage regarding this, and
                    Then i filed for tdr [protected] in reason "train late more than
                    Three hours and passenger not travelled.", according to the railways

                          Hi IRCTC,

                          Recently I have booked tatkal tickets for my parents with PNR number:[protected]. I have preferred Lower Berth(LB) for both of my parents, but the confirmation was done for Upper berth(UB) and Side upper(SU). My parents have severe knee ache and they cannot travel in upper berths. Eventually I had to cancel the tickets and no refund is provided because it is confirmed tatkal ticket.

                          I understand the rules of IRCTC, but before confirming the tickets and deducting my money, I would appreciate IRCTC to prompt for my confirmation and my willingness to take the Berths which IRCTC provides, if it cannot provide berths of my prederence. I feel disheartened and lost hope in the service of IRCTC as it is forcing people to take the auto confirmed berths and also deducting money.

                            I cancelled my tickets in irctc on 23/12/2015. But still my amount not refunded to my bank account.My IRCTC cancelled pnr numbers are [protected] and [protected] and [protected] and i login complaint against this issue on[protected] compliant ticket id in IRCTC is 2728694 .On that complaint i gave my all account statement what they required but still they not gave any refund i call to them so many times but they not giving any conformation for that amount refund and i am spending lot of time for this issue please kindly help to refund my amount

                              Dear sir

                              On 21st February 2016 around 9pm we saw a chart on the irctc site stating the cancelled trains on the 22nd February and it said our train 12650/KTK SMPRK K EXPRESS at departure time 6:40 am from NDLS to JHS was cancelled. Just for confirmation we checked the list for the last time at 1:45 am on 22nd February and again saw our train to be cancelled.

                              But in the morning around 8 am when we saw the train status it showed departed. And now the ticket can not be cancelled also. We missed our train to Jhansi because the cancelled train got rescheduled.To get a refund we filed a TDR around 9 -9:15 am and even emailed them. But in return we got a reply that we filed the TDR after our 4 hr deadline from the time of departure hence we cannot be refunded. But that wasn't true.

                              We wish to know how will be compensated for our loss. It was important for us to reach jhansi and now we aren't being refunded also.

                              Please get back to us at the earliest.

                                    I booked an e-ticket from NZM to Pune for train 04417 NZM-PUNE special. The tain starts from NZM at 5.15 am. However, due to change of plans i wanted to cancel my booking and saw on the IRCTC that the chart has been prepared 6 hours before departure as against 4 hours. Due to this, i had to file a TDR at 22:54 the previous day. The refund has still not been credited in my account.

                                        I got booked 2 tickets of Air India from Allahabad to Mumbai for 29.09.1915.Then I got 1 ticket of Mukund Prasad Bajpayee cancelled on 27.09.1915. Pnr Z5BM5 was told as cancelled.Since then no refund is given.Many letters were written to irctc but in responce they ask to bear till verification from Air India is received.I wonder that verification could not come in about 5 months.
