Dear Sir/Madam,
First of with due respect i would like to tell you that i am a permanent resident o[censored]TTAR PRADESH and currently studying in TAMIL NADU.
On 25/03/12 i have gone to book a ticket on CHIDAMBARAM (CDM) railway station with one of my friend. The lady on the counter was talking on mobile from 10 minutes after that she started to talk with one of her colleague. When i ask her to give me ticket because it was already in waiting, at the place of saying to wait she immediately started to shout that if you are in hurry you go and who are you to ask me to stop talking and giving ticket, this is my place i will do what i want. Hearing this conversation one of the person came and asked to her in Tamil that what is happening. She explained in Tamil to him something which i could not understand as i don't know Tamil. After that my friend was in Q and i came out from there as the person told me that he is a RPF police and he want to talk something.
After coming away from the counter on station he started to shout and hold my collar and told me to come to RPF station. I ask him that where is your dress and ID Card so that i know that you are a RPF police. He behaved very badly and holding my collar he took me to station.
There his SENIOR OFFICER which was INSPECTOR of station also behaved very badly and told me that i can book you under so many charges even if you have not done it. Anyway there was one RPF lady who helped me and talk to inspector and let me go i don't that why she helped me that time.

I am blaming the INSPECTOR or IN-CHARGE of CHIDAMBARAM RPF STATION of assaulting, not giving chance to explain and harrasing me with my friend in front of public and inside of police station. So proper action should be taken against him.

Later i reached to STATION MASTER Mr. K. KANAKRAJA of the station who was off duty i think as he came after 10 minutes after waiting to his office. When i started to tell him the problem and asked for complain register he started to assaulting us due to being from NORTH INDIA. He told that you all north-Indians are not coming for doing studies, you are here for doing smuggling, robberies,cheating, assaulting to girls and creating a lot of other problems to us.
I want to ask him that is being north-Indian is a sin which i did. Because of some north-Indians are involved in such things why he is behaving like this with all. Now i can also setup this kind of mentality in my mind as he was bad to me that all south Indians are bad and start to assault them in my side then will he like the same? He told from even before our birth he is doing duty in railway. He has so much experience, so we are wrong, he even not listen our problem and started to behave very badly like shouting and abusing on basis of being just north-Indians.

So i want to lodge a complain against him of being biased, assaulting, harrasing both o[censored]s and mainly of DISCRIMINATING due to being from NORTH-INDIA.

Yet i respect Mr. K. KANAKRAJA for his old age and just want that he must be asked not to discriminate on basis of state and language.
The same complain i have lodged with railway ministry portal on GOVERNMENT OF INDIA's site.

    Hi,

    I am Rajeev Singh, & Travelled through Train from Kanpur To Patna Through Garib Rath Ex(12570) and coach No G9, Seat No 10.
    I Board at Kanpur on 10.35 PM(Train is Delayed some time), after waiting more than an hour, i ask the attendent about the BedRoll(Blancket, Pilow, & Bed Sheet), he straight forward told me that i don't have any BedRoll(Mai Kuch Nahi Kar Sakta aap dekh Lo). I am suffering from fever from Last 3 days & travelled in this kind of situation. No one their to Listen anything problem.

    TTE Also not involved in more than 2.0 hrs.

      my name is sandeep kumar i am working in indian air force and posted here in uttarlai barmer(rajasthan). i have booked my motorcycle on 14 mar 12 on delhi jn. having bill no. [protected] in delhi jaisalmer intercity express on ticket having pnr no.[protected]. and i personally checked at delhi station that my parcel was loaded in the same train. but still i hv'nt got my parcel and i am unable in tracking it. and noone is helping me out i have checked at uttarlai,barmer and jodhpur parcel offices but i am still having no clue about it.
      sir please take some serious action and help me as i am facing a lot of problem due to this.

        Sir,
        My wife was travelling in ladies compartment of Malwa Express from Jammu Tawi to New Delhi on 15.3.12. On reaching at Ludhiana Railway Police personnel (two sardars) on duty at Ludhiana forced entry of gents into ladies coach by charging Rs 50/- per head. When my wife objected for this, police personnel said to my wife "why are you making noise as no one except you have any objection, sit on your seat quietly". On this my wife asked the lady police standing beside to remove the gents from the ladies compartment. The lady police however removed the gents once and slipped away immediately. The Sardar police personnel again forced gents into ladies coach by charging Rs 50/- per head from gents as such making the journey of ladies uncomfortable and insecure.

        May I request the authorities concerned to take action against the defaulter police personnel of Ludhiana railway station. It is further requested that gents should not be allowed entry in ladies coach in any case (not even husband accompanying the wife). And if any gent found travelling in ladies coach in any way should be dealt severely.

        Authorities concerned are requested to look into the matter seriously and ensure comfortable and smooth journey by ladies.

          When the Virar-Andheri local halts at Andheri's 6-7 platform it get's really crowded near the narrow bridge.
          I was in a hurry when I got onto the middle - narrow bridge. That was a mistake. I am a women and got molested by a herd of men who surrounded me near the bridge. They touched me places. Could you please appoint some RPF at the bridge to reduce this dis comfort. These molesters should be caught and punished because they have got no right to abuse women.
          Please do something about it asap.

            I Manish Kumar was travelling by Seemanchal Exp. on 25th of Feb 12, S-4 coach , the no. of which was 99246. It is very much dissapointing that there was no water supply in any of the toilets. and their condition of cleanliness was so poor that one wuld hardly like to enter it. There was no flush either.
            The window glass panes were not available. So in winter season, how cold th night would be for the passengers.
            Hope the same mentioned above is looked into seriously and action be taken against those who are responsible.

              This is to bring to your notice the issues i faced with IRCTC site.

              The website is very slow speed and very much time consuming to book a ticket. Some a times i could not reach till payment screen also. This is very disappointing.

              I have noticed that the website speed issue has been continuing for a long time now as well, for couple of years. It is extremely frustrating to book a ticket through IRCTC.

              What is IRCTC or Ministry of Railways doing to improve this website performance? This is just RIDICULOUS, waiting for 1 hour to book a single ticket!!!

                  I booked my bike from KOTA Jn (Rajasthan) to BANGALORE CITY JN (Karnataka) on 22/02/2012. I was travelling by the train JP-MYSORE Exp on the same date. But railway dept was unable to board my bike in train on the date because of some conditions. Later on they told me your bike will move via BHOPAL (Madhya Pradesh). When I enquired on 29/02/2012, KOTA parcel officer told me that your bike is in VADODARA (GUJARAT), it is not coming via BHOPAL. My bike moved from Kota to Vadodara on 23/02/2012 itself. But still on the date today 09/03/2012, I didn't get my bike in Bangalore. This is the railway dept who is making delays.

                    Respected Sir,
                    I boarded a train from delhi to lucknow named abadh assam express in which ladies compartment which is only meant for ladies had gents sitting in them. Somehow they were asked to move out with 4 or 5 remaining. Out of which one was a chain smoker & every 15 minutes he smoked. There was no effect on him of complaining & smiled shamelessly. After that 4 policemen after performing their election duty came & sat in it & used abusive language. Ladies compartment is only meant for ladies & it must be seen that only ladies sit in it. Policemen & husbands of women must be made to sit in other compartment.
                    Also I boarded a bus from pilani to delhi on 2nd March 2012 at about 1:25 pm from pilani bus stand to kashmere gate isbt delhi & I would have reached to delhi at about 7-8pm but the driver & conductor wasted time by stopping at bhiwani bus stand for more than 1 hour. Also they stopped at each & every stop like a local route bus & instead of taking the bypass route which is meant for outstation buses they came through high traffic area of delhi as if to delay purposely. Also the conductor misbehaved with women he constantly imposed his body while moving in the bus inspite of place in the bus. We reached delhi at about 10:30 pm & moved out of bus near kashmere metro station. The driver & conductor misbehave on seeing alone women passengers & do cheap acts. Their intentions were not right.
                    Also the auto drivers outside old delhi railway stn. formed a group & crowded us at about 2-3 pm asking us where we wanted to go. We were doubtful of them & we went with a rickshaw puller from whom we came to know that these people form a gang & if any lady passenger goes with any one of them. They follow her & take her to a place where they can outrage her modesty. We were stunned after listening to him & had a narrow escape.
                    The ladies in India are not safe & still do not enjoy the freedom to move alone without fear on Indian streets without being misbehaved or manhandled. Also the general compartment of train is overloaded with people & no checking is ever done of people travelling with or without women. Rules are framed only for women in India & men possess all the freedom & rights to treat women as they want with some even supporting them violating all possible norms.
                    The police in India play all roles of interrogating traveling passengers, checking their tickets & even making it instead of tt & railway police. If a women of general ticket sits in sleeper class since there is no place in general for her to even stand then police comes to make her understand the rules & regulations & when the police sits in the ladies compartment use abusive language stare at women then no rules are for them to be understood.

                    Indian Railways — Misbehave at old Delhi station

                    Respected sir,

                    with reference to the above captioned matter, when i was returning on 18/05/2008 at 22:30 at the exit gate a TTE misbehaved with me, including holding my shirt;s color and using slang words.

                    i want bold action against him, witness of that incidence RPF personnal Mr. Kayum on duty.

                    it was very painful remembrance for me, please take firm decision against that TTE.

                        TROUBLESOME JOURNEY AND UNFAIR ALLOTMENT OF BIRTH IN TRAIN NO. 22405 ON 21.02.2012. LAKSHMAN SING, PNR NO. [protected] BIRTH NO. 49 AND 52 IN G-11
                        We have reserved our birth as mentioned above from Dumraon to Anand Vihar on 13.12.2011. The train reached at 23oo hours at Dumraon. There is only 2 minutes stoppage at Dumraon. The attendant and railway employee issuing bed sheet closed the compartment door. No one opened THE door, in spite of knocking the door. Therefore we have to run here and there for boarding the train. Finally we succeeded to board the train in other compartment. After 25 minutes we observed that two person of RAC were allotted side and centre birth in the centre against side lower birth. I am a senior citizen and retired defence officer.
                        In view of above it is requested to improve your service as per previous e service and take necessary action against your staff responsible for the above happening. It is further requested to know :
                        1. What makes the railway staff, not to open the door at boarding point?
                        2. Why the railway is interested to borrow 50% by not permitting the passenger to board the train?
                        3. What makes the railway to create fighting atmosphere in the train by RAC passengers?
                        4. Why the birth numbering is not corrected till now ?

                            Ref: Ticket PNR No.[protected], Coach B6, Seat nos- 9, 10, 11, 12., issued by
                            Meerut Cantt station.

                            Sir,

                            I filled form for reservation of 4 passengers for Rajdhani Exp No. 12591 from Mumbai Central to New Delhi to travel on[protected] by AC3 class.

                            While filling age in ticket by the reservation official in the name of Smt Neetu, a typographical mistake was done. Age was typed 51 years in place of 31 years. The same was overlooked by us because never in the past such incidence happened.

                            During our travel the conductor of Rajdhani Express No.12591, did not agree with our argument even showing the I.D.Proof of Smt Neetu for age confirmation and treat her as without ticket. The conductor of the coach give me two option to complete our journey ;
                            (1) To bribe him for Rs.500/-
                            (2) To pay penalty os Rs.2990/-.
                            I opt for option no.2. Accordingly he imposed a penalty of Rs. 2990/- vide Receipt No.-N 0019477 dated[protected]. Photocopy of the same is attached herewith. Original receipt may be produced/submitted on final refund of penalty.

                            You are therefore requested to go through the whole matter and confirm the age filled in reservation form so that the penalty amount may be refunded to me and the conductor should not harass the passengers.

                              I,Padmanabhan.R resident in malleshwaram.
                              In malleshwaram Railway station the Information Display system has been repaired from past one and half year.
                              It is very inconvenient for custumors to get info about train schedules,seat availability,seat confirmation etc,
                              we have to be in big just to get info.
                              The employes say it not there concern,so please repair the one existing(old) or replace with a new one.
                              Please do the needful.

                                I am regularly travelling in Chauri Chaura Express, Train no. 15003/15004 in A/C-II coach. I always find that the bed role provided to the passenger, is dirty,unwashed,unpressed and old. I and other passengers always complain to the coach attendant and Ticket checker in this regard but it proves to be in vain.I lodged a written complain in this regard on 20 Feb 2012 while returning from Gorakhpur to Allahabad.The copy of the complain is attached herewith. Kindly take strict action against the culprits.

                                  I am aged 47 years and underwent knee surgery.
                                  my mother is aged 70 years and a patient who is unable to walk .
                                  when ever I book train tickets , inspite of repeated requests no lower berth is provided which is making our train journey
                                  a painful experience every time we travel by train. ultimately it is the co-passengers who are some times helping us by exchange of berths.
                                  many times railway department announced that if the age of the passenger is above 45 naturally system will provide lower berth with out any specific request. but it is not in practice.

                                  I booked Eticket on 27/12/2011 by garibrath from yeswantpur to secendrabad vide pnr no[protected] for self and wife.Before booking i checked therewere 369 berths available.I requested for lower and middle but was allotted both middle without considering my age. i am 69yr old .when sufficient berths are available why not the software be developed in such a way the prefered berths should be allotted cosidering the age and the gender.

                                  Yes i agree with the bove comment fully as i have been a victim many a times.

                                  Even now, despite being a senior citizen above 60 years and requsting for lower berths, they have alloted MB and UB and the same is the case in both onward and return journey

                                  Can the booking clerk see this and act according to the age God only knows Since wh en we board the train and request the co passengers they sometimes oblige but most of the time refuse as this is causing a lot of disturbance and mental agony for us

                                  What is the purpose of asking for age and not alloting the berths accordingly

                                    Ref – It was the simple process of cancellation of tickets.
                                    Respected Sir,
                                    According to above subject, the officers like Mr. M. Laxminarayan are a blot to Railway department. The railway department is becoming blemish because of misbehavior of such officers with the passengers.
                                    Sir, I would like to inform you the story of arrogant behavior of Mr. M. Laxminarayan.
                                    Sir, there was my family function at Hyderabad. All my family went to Hyderabad on Dt. 16th Feb 2012 by Parbhani Passenger (Train No. 563) from Nanded to Hyderabad. I have arranged some tickets from Nanded & some from Parbhani reservation counter. We purchase tickets for up & down both i.e. Parbhani to Hyderabad & Hyderabad to Parbhani. Due to some family decisions we need to stay Hyderabad for a day more. So that, I went to cancel the return journey ticket at Medchal station as the Medchal station was nearest to me from function point. But there is no reservation counter. I enquire about nearest reservation counter then he told me either Secunderabad or Manoharabad. The Manoharabad was more convenient for me so I decided to reach Manoharabad to cancel the tickets.

                                    Sir, near about at 12.15 pm I reached to Manoharabad station & picked up reservation /cancellation form. At that time Mr. M. Laxminarayan was seated on reservation counter. I asked him for cancellation of tickets. He told me I can’t cancel your ticket because I have only cash Rs. 800/- This is very small station & no very big collection of cash is here. I smiled & told him the tickets are only of Rs. Somewhat Rs. 800/- after cancellation I will need near about Rs. 400 – 450/- you can cancel my tickets easily. Then he taken tickets from my hand & replied me you cannot cancel these tickets. I asked him for reason, then he advised me you have to cancel these tickets there, where you have booked it. After his advice I get shocked! And told him sir, the facility of cancellation or reservation is being available at any reservation counter in all over India. Then he get angry on me & told me “don’t teach me laws I know everything you have to go there, where you have booked these tickets.” He also told me, “my name is M. Laxminarayan you can complaint about me anywhere at minister, GM, CCM, DCM etc they cannot do anything against me.”
                                    I requested him that I am new here in Hyderabad & I don’t know roads, so please cancel my tickets otherwise after preparation of chart the tickets will get zero value. Then he told me today you are going to cancel the ticket of Rs. 400 -450/- If any customer demanding me cancel the ticket of more than Rs. 4000 – 5000/- then how I can manage the cash as my station is so small. I requested him for my ticket as my ticket was very small amounted. After requesting so many times he denied me then I demanded him complaint book then he get more angry at me & started shouting on me in unbalanced language. I cannot write such unbalanced language by my hand. If any heard such language he cannot eat or sleep for 24 hours………… It was unbelievable for me the officer of railway department is going to rude step. No any another officer of your department behaved such arrogant with anyone. I have not seen or heard such arrogant language railway department’s employee used at anywhere. Whatever he behaved with me but I do not take any high handed step. I politely requested him & demanded him complaint book or cancellation of my ticket.
                                    Sir, I requested him again & again then he dialed a phone to the police & told the police officer about me that a customer harassing me & forcing me to cancel the ticket though I cannot do this. He hand over the online phone to me & police told me if he is unable to cancel the ticket then why you are forcing him.

                                    I told the entire story to police officer on phone & requested him also the Station Master Should have to either cancel my ticket or provide me the complaint book. He was also failed to across to him.
                                    The officers like Mr. M. Laxminarayan are the blame to railway department. They are blindly making loss to railway department.
                                    Sir, you are requested to enquire all the matter by appointing a enquiry commission & try to solve my questions which are knocking my mind again & again from this incident. The questions are as follows.
                                    1. Why Station Master Mr. M. Laxminarayan do not cancel my ticket as all facilities were available at Manoharabad Station?
                                    2. We he called the police though I have not behave with him very politely?
                                    3. Why he not provided me complaint book though he have complaint book?
                                    4. Why any other officer not helped me as they were experienced Station Masters arrogant behavior?
                                    5. Is this correct way to behave with passenger in such manner?
                                    Sir, Kindly take needful action as early as possible & oblige me.

                                      I boarded on Sealdah-Ajmer Train on 8th February,2012 for JAipur in sleeper class but condition of my coach was very bad and somebody had vomited in my seat( Seat No.23) and complain about the seat to Train guard and several times to ticket checker but there was no response from there end.

                                      This irresponsibility shown from railway staff create lots of problem in my journey, even though after paying full fare of reservation ticket i need to adjust with others persons traveling.

                                      This even set bad image of our country as people in the coach for journey came from bangladesh, canada and even spain this will hurt our tourism industry.

                                        Cockroaches problem in 16107 and 16108 train compartments. Passengers of these train are always travelling with tons of cockroaches in the compartments. Asked the TTE about this. He said the compartments are being used continuously as 16107/16108 and 16854/16853, hence there is no maintenance time. This creates hazardous environment for passengers health.

                                        Recently traveled on Feb 19th, 2012 in 16108 - Mag Chennai Express, S9/36.

                                        Concerned personnel, please do the needful.
