Why there is PQWL while booking rail tickets. I think its better to have only one waiting list and that should be served only on first come first serve basis. I think it is better for normal public and for Indian railways as well. Anyways tickets booked against PQWL very rarely gets confirmed. So I dont see any use of this quota for normal public.
I think rather than making system more complicated, Indian railway should work on improving online ticket service. (There are lot more better things to do, than complicating system and making fool out of public)

    sir,
    My name is suji babu ,i have sent my bajaj pulsar 150 cc red colour motor cycle ( Gj6 CE 8307)through indian railway parcel service from vadodara (Gujarat) to Kollam (Kerala) on 11/05/2012 and the reciept number is Z 359640. But even after one week I didn't get my parcel and nobody knows where is the vehicle is gone.
    So please help me to find out my bike

    I request to you, I had booked a bike{pulsur} noumber CG-11 BC 6923 & bullty number is 804382 with railway parcel ser. from bilaspur to indore at tha date of 24 feb 2011 & today at the date of 07 mar 11 my bike is not reach at indore station sir i am allready compleane to nr sale & they are not giving me any information about my bike, this setutaion is very creticle for me I am so dipration and becouse this dipration iam not able to my stady well please help me argent.

    Indian Railway — about service

    hi, this is vibhash jha, i am travelling with patna rajdovthani on 13 nov 2011 from new delhi to patna. the service of this train is very poor. infect poor hospitality. i am surprised that like this train the govt. is providing this type of facility. i am travelling with AC2 tier coach, but i am very disappointed with service. coach attendant service also not good.

Singh i had booked my parcels[ 4box+ 3packages + 1drum+1fridge +1bike{RJ07SJ2705, PASSION PRO HERO HONDA}] by me on 08.06.2013 Billite no.- 216763 from lalgarh to siwan in awadh assam Train no.- 15610 but this parcels we didn't get even after one month + 5days and nobody knows where my parcels are gone.

      Hi,

      Today on 17th May, 2012, I booked to and fro ticket for Delhi-Jammu dated 25th May, 2012.
      PNR#[protected], [protected]
      I wanted to make sure I can have a couple of hours rest at jammu railway station retiring room and freshen up. Since I am going with the family I din't want to take any chances. I got to know on the internet that now advance booking of retiring rooms is possible, hence I called up Railway Enquiry/Call Centre @ 139.
      At first my call was picked up by the rep Manoj. He asked what is it he can help with. I explained him the above and asked for help on how to proceed with advance booking retiring room at Jammu.
      Manoj, said he will transfer the call to his supervisor..and I started hearing Railway waiting message..
      After a wait 5-6 minutes, another guy named Mustafa came online ..and without even telling his name, he asked "what's the issue". I had to ask for his name. I again explained him and requested for any information on the same.
      He bluntly said, we don't have any such information. you only need to go to the railway station to find out such details. I told him that you guys should at least provide the basic information about it. When I asked him if I go to the Delhi Railway Station, would this be ok..then he said I am not sure you may have to go to Delhi or Jammu Railway station. I told him, that you are the supervisor and you should at least guide the user in the right direction. Now he said, you have to go to Jammu next week, there is no way you can book retiring room now. Why do you want to book it now. You can go to Jammu and book it. This is not possible. I was aghast. I told him that Railways allow to book for a ticket 4 months in advance then of course the user would need to book for the retiring room on the same day on which he is travelling. And how is this not possible. Any way retiring room bookings are fully (like the travel tickets). He was just saying no it's not possible..it's first come first serve..I told him that this information is published in the leading newspapers that advance retiring room booking is now possible and you are saying not. Finally I asked him, how can I give my complaint/appreciation about the service you provided me.. he said "you want to complain". I told whatever it is, complaint or appreciation, what's the means to do it.. he said I will transfer your call.. I started hearing a ringing phone ..and nobody picked up for more than 5 minutes..Disgusted, I dropped the phone.
      Note :
      i)Why does railway not make sure that his reps are educated enough on the services provided by Railways.
      ii)Mustafa was very rude and he was questioning me that why would anybody want to book retiring room in advance. He also commented it's not possible. He should have had the right information and he should had tried to at least get the right info. Most importantly He doesn't suit for the Customer Care.
      iii) He mislead when I asked for how can I give my feedback-complaint/appreciation. My call wasn't transferred properly.

        Hello. Today (17/05/2012) I have booked a Tatkal railway ticket from railway booking center at BDA complex, Koramangala, Bangalore 560034.
        Standing behind a long queue of arrogant railway agents who rules the place, when finally reaching the counter we found only 2 counters are open out of 5. Also, the staff (especially the lady staff) who sits there was too slow and most of the people lost the advantage of coming to the queue at early morning 4.00AM. What we could see there today was a total mess and the autocracy of the agents. If some one say these all malpractice happening at railway counters are to help the agents, no one can blame them.

        Hi, I went to the Banashankari BDA Complex railway counter for reservation from Howrah to darbhanga and vice versa. she spoke to me so rudely, she was telling to me when online booking was there why you come to the counter, i dont know the train no, so i write the train name and i thought throught software they will write it and she was so irritated and shouted like anything. is this the way to speak to the customer? i want her suspension from the post.           My Name is Jenson . I travelled from Chennai Central to Howrah Junction(HWH) in FIRST CLASS AC - 12842 - Coramandel Express on May 15 , 2012.

          I booked my ticket on[protected] at Madurai ( Tamil Nadu).

          While my journey in the train on May 15 , 2012 , the TICKET CHECKER charged me Rs. 505/- for "AS PER CHART".
          He stated the reason as the standard ticket charges increased by the Government.

          I want to know , Do i need to pay extra charges even i have a confirmed ticket ?

          Kindly advise or else please provide me the mail address where i can make a complaint.

          Indian Railway — Refund of Excess amount charged

          Since last six month I am doing follow-up with IRCTC ( [protected]@irctc.co.in ) & different CSE asked me same information & documents & I did provided many times.Since then they are not given my reason & updates.

          i have tried to book ticket from NDLS - MMR -NDLS on 10th May'12.
          after few attampt i was able to book 4 no ticket of 3 AC from NDLS to MMR, but i was trying for return ticket i was denial twice but amount was deducted from my credit card.
          kindly help me to get my money back.

            Immediate foot over bridge required for Pune railway station to avoid severe stampede and suffocation.
            it is really a horrible condition for the passengers travelling in the train. I suggest the senior authorities to visit the site and take immediate action needed especially in the peak hours.The crowd is gathered normally at the evening time around 4:30 to 8:00 PM. Please take required action before any severe mishap takes place.

            Dear Sir/Madame,

            I totally agree. Yesterday (26 Aug 2012) my family and I had a really harrowing experience at 6:30PM going from platform 1 to 5. What we experienced was an almost stampede kind of a situation. I had two senior citizens, my father 76 years old and two times heart patient and my father in law 61 year old and one time heart patient and my wife who is 7.5 months pregnant. There was a sudden rush, which I presume to be because of some irresponsible railway officials' last moment platform change of some train on platform 2. We were literally fighting to stay our ground and protect my family from being overrun by the crowd and losing our luggage was the last thing on my mind.

            I'm really very disappointed with the kind of system we have. All our hard earned money paid as taxes and what use is it if we are not getting any better facilities and our family is at risk at any point in time. I've searched and found that an additional foot bridge was recommended at the Pune Railway station almost a year back, but seems like all those recommendations are falling on deaf ears. Are we waiting for some major mishap to happen? Today I shudder at the very thought of what we had encountered yesterday.

              I travelled in train no 18606 (Jaynagar- Ranchi Exp) between Darbhabga and Ranchi on[protected] in A1-coach bearth no 30. In the night I found 2 doors near seat no 46 pad-locked. This was highly unsafe as then there will be only 2 exits in case of any accident or fire and in such situation many passenger may run towards these locked exits and get trapped.

              I tried to locate the AC-Coach attendant but failed - later I noticed he was not in uniform and was wearing a striped red T-Shirt without any name badge. He was totally discurteous and quickly picked up and arguement once this unsafe practice was pointed by me. He finally opened the locks only once train reached Bokaro Steel City. I donot know if he lied but he told his name as Chandan Kumar.

              I request he may be repremanded for such un-safe practice and action taken against him.

                This is to bring to the notice of the all the responsible authorities regarding the worst condition of the coaches.
                I am a regular traveller and found that the condition is very bad even in 3rd A/c coaches as the most crowed train Netravati express no 16345&16346 at all season , the coaches are made 20 or more years before the condition neatness and maintenances at all means is worst, hence it is requested that the coaches may be changed and maintained properly because this particular train does not run in lose.

                    Our relatives Mr.Rupa Sarvaiya ws travelling in Bhavnagar Express ( Dt : 05.05.2012 ) from Johravar nagar to Borivali. At ahmedabad station some body has snacthed her purse and ran away. She had shouted for help but no railway police was available there. Asking to T.C ( Mr Anil Mathews ) he was unanwerable and was no in helping mood.

                      My mom and relatives had to travel from Shirdi to B'lore on 28 April, Saturday and the status of their booking was Waiting list 26,28,29. After Sholapur station, in the night my mom saw TTR accepting a bottle from the person and a conversation was happening bw passenger and TTR and after sometime he was given a berth and during the coonversation my mom and relatives heard them mentioning about WL 56.Since, it was only ladies who were travelling no one could do anything at that momemt. Instead of giving prefernces to senior citizens and to the waiting list number, preference was given that passenger who had offered TTR a drink.

                          Respected sir ,

                          I have a complaint regarding the mismanagement ,i have witnessed during my journey in railway dated 29-04-12,in train no 12239 from mumbai to jaipur ( pnr : [protected] ). The beddings were not provided by attendant at all, and passengers were asked to collect it themselves , reason being told shortage of staff. It created a lot of disturbance and difficulty to us. Please kindly take action on it so that such things will not happen in future.

                          Indian Railway — Mismanagement

                          I have reservation in UP samparkkranti(2447) having PNR no-[protected], on 23 may'09.But my wainting list status chart not displayed on Jhansi Station & even CTI my Shivnarayan Sharma not having chart & no other TTE staff available in train.CTI Mr Shivnarayan sharma refused to give complaint book & even my bag having some delegate material throwned outside by CTI with the help of two GRP constable Mr Lokendra Singh & Mr Kalu.That time 139 no & phone SMS service also not responding due to server problem.So i got seat after 2 hour when sms service worked.
                          i want to join tt job. i am 10+2 pass by cbse.

                          Indian Railway — Regarding Mismanagement on Ticket window

                          Subject: Complaint against waiting at ticket window everyday for a ticket and miss the train


                          Respected Sir,

                          With due respect we Citizen of India, want to bring in to your kind attention about the problem we faced during buying daily ticket at Anand, Gujarat Railway Station...

                          There are only 3 window for having more than 1000 passengers daily only in the morning time.
                          Passengers including workers, students, normal passengers from anand and near by villages to Ahmedabad and Baroda.

                          Since, last few months we are facing a lot of problem getting a ticket even after waiting for half and our and finally it ends to miss the train...

                          there are several common reason for this mismanagement, which needs to be sort out as soon as possible.

                          1. ticket printing printer are not working properly or i think the operator is not having enough knowledge, Operator are very slow to operate the system.
                          2. In the Pick up hours there should have one or two more ticket window.
                          3.No Pass should be issued during pick up time.(they waste the most of the time)


                          We request you to kindly pay attention on our complaint and take necessary action so that passenger would not face these problems in future

                          Sub:complaint against non availability of tickets in ticket reservation southern Railway Ticket counters.

                          Respected Sir,

                          With due respect we Citizen of India, want to bring in to your kind attention about the problem we faced during buying a reservation ticket on festival seasons. when there is no ticket availabily on railway ticket counters we can get a lot of ticket from brokers. So kindly take a action against brokers.and kindly give a order to all ticket coillectors and ticket checkers verify all proof of the passengers which can avoid the broker activities.
                          I was travelling with my family from delhi to bandra by dehradun express in coach S1 PNR [protected] in my coach instead 72 people there were 250 people and there was no palce to move and breathe. I have no idea how this could happen when I have got reserved ticket. I spoke to ticket attendent and he said he cannot do anything. I am really unhappy with such a mismangement and tried to ring minstry of railway and there was no reply. I don't where do we stand.
                          Please reply me If there is any answer for this mismangement.

                          Indian Railway — MISMANAGEMENT OF INDIAN RAILWAY

                          TRAIN NUMBER 4056 WAS SCHEDULED FROM DELHI JUNCTION AT 2330 HRS WHEREAS THE TRAIN WAS RESCHEDULED TO 0230 HRS BEFORE THAT THE DISPLAY REGARDING THE STATUS OF COACHES WAS FEEDED WRONG AFTER THAT WHEN TRAIN WAS ON THE TRACK THE COACHES NUMBER DISPLAYED ON THE COACHES WAS WRONG ALL THE PASSENGER ABOUT 2000 IN NUMBERS WAS RUNNING BEHIND THE COACHES FROM ONE PLACE TO OTHER PLACE RAILWAY STAFF DOESN'T COOPERATE WITH PASSENGER. A MAJOR ACCIDENT MAY TAKE PLACE DURING THE SHIFTING OF COACHES
                          THEREFORE IT IS REQUESTED THAT NECESSARY ACTION MAY BE TAKEN AGAINST THE RESPONSIBLE OFFICERS AND STAFF.
                          I TRAVEKED IN THE SUCH KHAND TRAIN TO NADAIR ( HAJOOR SAHIB). I BOOKED SLEEPERS WITH MY OTHER FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. THE TRAIN WAS FULL OF MICE, DIRTY AND SMELLET LIKE ALL THE TIME. ALL IT NEEDED WAS a) DUST BINS WITH INSTRUCTION TO PUT THE LITTER IN THE BINS. b) DOORS CLOSING TOWARDS WC TO PREVENT THE SMELL COMING IN THE CABENS. c) REGULAR MAINTINECE TO BROKEN WINDOWS AND SEATS. I CAN GO ON TO MAKE FURTHER LIST BUT WHAT IS THE USE, NO ONE TAKES ANY NOTICE. WHY DO WE STILL LIVE LIKE ANIMALS? WHY CAN'T WE LEARN FROM OTHER COUNTRIES? OUR INDIA IS THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. WE SHOULD TAKE PRIDE TO KEEP IT BEAUTIFUL.
                          You should have written this complaint into the complaint register available in the train.

                              I. Randhir kumar booked a train ticket for 2 people on 16/12/2011 (PNR no:[protected] and Transaction id: [protected]) to journey from Haridwar to Patna on 25/01/2012. But, we could not travel because after chart preparation one ticket in RAC and another one is W/L -.1 So, both of passenger was not travelled Hence I lodged a TDR dated 25/01/2012 with the reference no ekt [protected] to the Indian Railways. The current TDR Status shows "forwarded to railway". The total no of days elapsed from filing date to today has been more than three months.
                              I would be highly obliged if you please look into the matter and take necessary steps so that I may receive my due amount as soon as possible.

                              Good luck with your refund. When I was in India, I lost mi tickets and I went thru hell in order to get a refund. Number one I needed all kinds of number codes listed on the ticket, the cart I was to traveling in, the train number, my destination and etc. etc. You only get your refund at the end of your journey, thats what happened in my case. I also had to scam the Bureau of Tourism because they were refusing to help me out on the original scam that cause me to lose my tickets in the first place, which was to direct me by a man in uniform to an outside tourist office so I could lose my, first class tickets and be sold probably to somebody on a waiting list. Once I showed my tickets to that person, he found out how many I ahd, what type, and which train. He contacted hi contact inside the train station, indicating "NO SHOWS" and voila, I was out in the cold - see you.

                              I have traveled on dated 18.06.2008 by train no 2654 from Chandigarh to New Delhi . my ticket was reserved from Chandigarh to Kota originally which was canceled by me at New Delhi railway station through TDR NO 814258 dated 18.06.2008 at 14: 30 hrs. because of route diversion of train due to Gurjar Riots. I have send an application for refund of difference Fare along with TDR through Registered POST on 09.07.2008.Even after 90 days when I did not get refund . I reapplied again through registered post on dated 07.10.2008 but still today i could not get the Refunds till date 21.11.2008.

                              I am really thankful to the authority who has replied to my complaint on the sub Non receipt of complaint book / clarification about increased fare and non providing of edible for a particular time in New Delhi- Guwahati rajdhani express 2456 .

                              So far I failed to receive any repy from the responsible persons managing the IRCTC and still as per information gathered from my colleagues the tren of cutting the items even lunch/ brekfast / non washing o[censored]sed cups / even not changing of the papers used in the serving trays have been continuing in the New Delhi-Guwahati rajdhani and GHY to New Delhi rajdhani and no remedial actions are being taken . No check on the serving staff.

                              Now it seems Hon'ble Railway Minister and other responsible authorities who are issuing the instructions are being either thrown by the next authorities or no body want to touch grass-root since passing the bills of cartering of rajdhani is being done very carefully in a planned manners.
                              Hwever I shall be grateful if some surprise check in done when the Rajdhani Express touching from New Jalpaiguri to Guwahait and from Kanpur to New Delhi to see the truthfullness of the services.

                              My PNR No. is [protected]. Train was late more than 18 hours on journey date so passenger not travelled. I file TDR on 29.12.2010 and railway refunded Rs. 593/- on 04.01.2011.

                              Because train late more than 3 hours so a full amount of Rs. 1189/- should be refunded by railway instead of Rs. 593/-

                              I have booked 3 birth from Lucknow to Ahmedabad in 3 AC wide PNR No-[protected] out of which only 2 birth was confirm & 1 was in wait list, Keeping in view that waitlisted ticket booked through IRCTC was automatically cancelled I have purchased 1 waitlist ticket from Railway counter on which my third passenger was traveled.
                              When I file the TDR for reimbursement of IRCTC ticket my request is rejected by IRCTC. I just request that I have pay ticket price twice for same journey so that one ticket should be cancelled & that price should reimburse to me.

                              I want to say that when TTE is suppose to give TDR certificate to passenger in such cases then why he is not given to me even I show him both the ticket for same passenger.
                              Kindly took the matter since passenger (consumer) is suffering in above case.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I would like to say that on 15th April I purchsed physical handicapp ticket No: 87264538 dt. 15/04/12 from jaipur to Jodhpur in Indore Intercity express & waited for the train to come. The train was 15 minutes from its arriving time at jaipur station of 14.45. Now according to the railways the physical handicap coach should be in the front as well at the back of the train near gaurd coach. But on that day only a single coach was there & that too in the front. We & some of the physical handicap friends went to the front & when we reached the coach I was astonished to see that maximum GRP staff & railways staff carrying their card of NWREU in their pockets & captured the physical handicap coach. When we went to them & asked them to give the seat to the physical handicap persons they refused saying that why should they give the seat to the physical handicap peoples.

                                Now when we got down & complained the GRP ASI Mr. MS Meena about this he started shouting on us & using abusive language He told us to go & speak with the station master it is none of my business. I just wanted to know that why does the railway higher authorities say that they are giving good facilites to the senior citizens, physical handicaps & the patients. Why the railways higher authorities not looking to these....? Why are they seeing all this when they are knowing the facts...? Why does anybody senior go & see these coaches at the time of the arrival of the trains.

                                Even I was surprised that a GRP ASI Mr. MS Meena replying in such a manner & speaking with us like we are the culprits. I say that the facility in rajasthan is worst then the other states. Jodhpur station is not having seperate ticket counter for senior citizens, womens & physical handicap as in other states there are seperate counters.

                                I feel very bad when the railway employees treat us like this. It is really shameful for me that I travel with the worlds second largest railway & the Railways ministry implies the law but dont see to the laws to be executed. As all the laws relating to railways are broken by the railway employees themselves & Maximum laws are manipulated by the GRP.

                                I would like the railway authorities to check this time by time otherwise nothing could happen.

                                Indian Railways — no ramp for physically handicapped

                                dear sir,
                                I am from BELLARY, like to draw attention of concerned authorities that there is a RAMP and steps for the foot over bridge to get down at plat form No. 3, but sorry to say that there is NO RAMP either at plat form No. 1 or 2 to get into the said bridge, if some one (physically handicapped person like me) uses wheel chair he has to climb the steps along with wheelchair to approach plat form No. 3. I have to travels to bangalore for my regular treatment and has to use plat form No. 3 to catch HAMPI Exp. Hence I humbly request the concerned authorities to kindly look into the matter and arrange to help the disabled persons. Hope to get the facility at the earliest.
                                THERE IS NO SEPARATE TICKET COUNTER FUNCTIONING FOR PHYSICALLY DISABLED PERSONS IN SALEM RAILWAY DIVISION OFFICE
                                plz provide such a railway subhyatra card to phyically handicapped passenger by which they can make their travelling easily
                                its sad to see the response of railway authorities...and it is well expected from them also...the definition of the physically challenged and normal person vary...so it may vary from situation to situation...going to higher and complaining about that will not help...in india it is always better to solve the issue at site...best is to compromised with situation...

                                  I had booked two railway tickets online using bank of baroda debit card. Afterwards i cancelled the tickets and indian railways online reservation system says the money has been refunded to my account. Still my account does not show change in balance and money has not yet been refunded to me. When contacted Indian railways customer care they told me to inquire to my bank. Bank people are too doing nothing. The fact is money has not been refunded yet eventhough the status may be showing it has been refunded.

                                    We are regular passanger of Titwala to Cst Up local, which is departure on 7.24 am from titwala.

                                    We found very Unclean local in alternate day manner, today 17/04/2012, we found somebody Vomitted at Window so we informed the Station manager regarding this and requested to arrange a Sweeper who clean the place.

                                    After contineous followup, Station Manager Mr Vikas Sharma said, due to lack of Sweeper we can not arrange the help for cleaning the place. Sweeper will attend the Train at kalyan but till Kurla, nobody attend the Train we are travel along with Dirt.

                                    What is the duty timing of Sweeper ?

                                    Second thing, we go to Platform No 2, Tea stall and request for water for cleaning a place ourselves. The counter person didn't listened the whole thing and shout, Toh kya main saff karu ? we said, we are not telling you to clean the place. Please provide a Water for clean the place but he do the misbehave so we has a argument in between us.


                                    So is this type of Service we get from Railway in future also.

                                    Is that Station manager answer we get in future regarding our problem.

                                      I booked my bike (Hero honda Splender Plus, Model 2009, UK-08N 1347) from Roorkee (Haridwar Distt) to Faridkot vide Receipt No G644297 dt 31 Mar 2012. Till date my Bike is not reach in the destination station. I went regularly to rly stn to whereabout of my bike. They said to insure from the previous station, I also went there, but they also said that to check in the previous stn of that. I also call to the Roorkee Stn and they told that they sent my bike from that station on train No 24887 HWBME link express and its not their duty that the bike will reached to the destination station or not. Every one tell that its not their duty , then whose duty is it????. i m really mentally and physically harassed, what to do.. Please tell me the whereabout of my bike and send it to the Faridkot as soon as possible. An early action is requested please.
