Sir,

I am always travelling through rail with resevation to make journey comfortable for my family and i m happy with rail services provided by you spacially Delhi Kota route but Delhi Rewari route is worst route for journey in reservation coaches because of MST holders forcely sitting on resevred berths and not leaving after many requests and also standing in passage in large number and shouting till reaching Rewari Station.
All passangers having reservation facing this problem.
Is it allow to MST holder travelling in Superfast train in Reservation Coach.
Train conductor also disapear till Rewari.
On 24 July 2010 I am travelling in 2981 Chetak Express from DEE station with my family, I heared an announcement that RNT Passanger train late 2 hours so that Chetak Express will stops all stations till Rewari Jn. and all passangers who having ordiniary ticket can travelling through Chetak Exp.
After this announcement all MST holders forcely sittes in resrved berths and passangers who having reservation standing and requesting to leave the seat but MST holders saying "This is now passanger train till Rewari so that these are not reservation coaches and not reserved berths, these are only ordiniary seat till rewari". I am sitting with my wife and little chiled but this is worst journey in my life.
MST holders was also sitting on roof of train and pulling chain many times.
Is this fair in view of Railway?
Is Railway self following its rules?
We are taking reservation for our convenience and expecting railway to provide us better services but facing more inconvenience then ordiniary class.

My heartly request to you please give a serios look on this matter.

With Regards

Why no reply is given to the aforesaid complaint, I think you are taking it very lightly. This is a serious matter need to be checked and the persons responsible should be taken up, apart from putting the defective coach to out o[censored]se till it is fully repaired. Please be prompt in replying to the complaints forwarded through Face book, or it will have negative effect on the efficiency of FB. R K Nanda

    Illegal money taken
I, S. Kumar On[protected] morning 10:56 AM train from Darbhanga to New Delhi, I was travelling in Sleeper Class Bogie. When I got down at Muzaffarpur, a Ticket Collector asked me for my ticket. When I showed my railway Ticket, the TC forcefully took my Ticket and kept with him in his pocket. When I explained that about me, he was not ready to listen anything and took to Head TC. He checked my pockets. He said I am not eligible to travel in this Bogie and demanded Rs. 450 Fine from me. He also threatned me that if I do not comply with his demands, he will send me Jail. He also tried to explain the fact but he was not ready to accept anything. My Fine Reciept No. Q 870107.

If this was not enough after all this, he further threatned me that in future also he will fine me and also told me to remember his name. But He didnot say his name. Even after having valid ticket that TC harassed me. I beg you to look into this matter at your earliest.

    I am attaching my ticket.

I happened to tavel by train no. 2727 godavari express on 20.07.2010 in sleeper class S-11 coach, alongwith my family members. Whn the train arrived at station , a group of passengers who does not have reservation started boarding into the coach without allowing the gnuine passengers to board. With great dificulty ultimately we could board the train after its taking move only. Afterwards when we approached the seats alloted for us we found the seats were full with occupancy by unauthorised passengers who are mostly season ticket holders. when asked to vacate our seats they started quarrelling with us saying that we should adjust with whatever the place left by them. we were only two and they were around twenty and thier bhaviour was very much threatening. We had to keep quiettill they vacted the seats in between samalkot and rajahmundry. This is not an isolatd incident and almost everytime when we travel by this train or by visakha express just before that, we are facing this awesome experience. Can not the railways stop this menace of travvelling of season ticket holders by reserved coaches by imposing penalties as per the extent rules?

Am a regular passenger to Train number 2079/2080 Jan Shtabdi Express bound from Hubli to Bangalore City Junction (2080), for the past 2 yrs the train has never reached Bangalore atleast before 23:00 hrs. though its scheduled time is 21:25 hrs. this is happening for the past 2 yrs on my notice. Till now no action has been taken against it. Any one can u please help me where to lodge a complaint at right place for this? since this train service is most essential service, since most of all the major cities trains from Bangalore are scheduled from 21:00 - 23:00 hrs as if this train reach on time in Bangalore it would benefit many like me, in getting the connecting train and also be at right time.

        Thanks and Regards,

          Sir.
I am also having a complaint. I booked two tickets from Trivandrum to Guruvayoor on15.1.2011(Departure -Night 11.15 from Tvm) in 2nd AC sleeper waitlisted as 3 & 4. I reached at Tvm station at 11 .15 o"clock. But waiting list not cleared and TTR not allowed me to travel in that train.Next day morning I presented the ticket for refund. But the authorities rejected the claim by saying that 6 hours passed from departure time of the train. Sir, is it justice? Railway has no loss relating my ticket. Another passengers travelled and so the waitlist not cleared. I have suffered physically and mentally so much. Why cant Railway refund the untravelled (paid in advance) fare about Rs.1300/-.? Here, the cancellation is none of my fault. I am ready to travel. Railway not permitted for W/o clearance of waitlist. As such Railway is liable to pay the fare at any reasonable time when I claimed. The common time lag of 6 hours not applicable here. If iam cancelling a sure ticket after departure of train it is O.K. Here I am compelled for cancellation. Common justice is to refund my fare urgently. Who will redress this grievance Sir?

i travelled in 2446 uttar sampark kranti exp from jammu to new delhi in ac 1 coach, cabin B, lower birth pnr no [protected]. the floor and toilets were unclean, toilet was stinking, while the linen was satisfactory the blankets are old, torn on sides and at best ugly. i asked the attendant to give me a second pillow, he refused saying that he did nit have it. when i said that it is standard practice in ac 1 cl and if you cannot provide the pillow then please get me the complaint book. after asking him twice over a period of approx 20 mins, he still did not provide the complaint book. instead he brought a half pillow, probably from ac 2 tier with a dirty pillow cover. i have had similar experience in the same train earlier while travelling fro new delhi to udhampur in ac 1 on 30 jun 2010.

            Sir/Madam

It is very shameful to said that the train timing is so poor which one want to travel from Jammu to Udhampur daily for his Job at Udhampur what he do if tran late 1 hrs 2 hrs or more. Employees who are Govt. or Private both face the difficulty to reach our designation. I only want to say that please don't stop the uttar sampark kranti train in morning because employees are waiting for and no other train pass the uttar sampark train for Jammu. If you seriousl take some action on it so that we can save our jobs otherwise give any job in uttar sampark kranti train.

Please if kranti late 2 hrs or more so please make a announcement properly so that the employees not suffer.

i was tavelling in Rajkot Express Train No 6614 , when i reached near guntur there were some railway squad people who came to me and asked for the ticket and ID proof . I have traveled several times in trains but no TT or Squad member has said any thing of this sort . When i refused to give him bribe he even went to the extent of pushing me and took from me rs 500 . So sir please take some strict against this people so that the passengers can travel in peace.

                Address: Nagpur, Maharashtra

My Mother, aged 52, had to face many problems during her journey by Gorakhpur-Yesvantpur Express. The staff members travelling from Nagpur-Secundarabad were extremely non-cooperative and rude in behaviour. The staff refused to provide any medical assistance, upon knowing that one of the passengers has met an injury.
Some of the major problems faced were:
1>There is no pantry car in the train, inspite of the fact that the train travels for more than 2 days with only 10 stoppages in total.
2>The attendants were very rude in providing the basic facilities like bedroll itself.
3>The attendants refused to aid any elderly passenger during the journey.
4>The staff including the TT, never provided any medical assistance to the injured passenger. My Mother was injured and asked for medical assistance several times but no action was taken by any staff member. Finally one of the co-passengers, who was a very elderly person himself, had to risk and was able to provide the medicine. This could have led to another mishap in hurry to catch the train back. Such conditions are forced due to non-cooperation received from the staff in charge.
5>All the passengers had a very tough time for making available basic things like food and water, during the journey when the time duration between 2 stations is more than 3 hours on an average. Any station missed by any passenger by mistake, will cost himher to wait for total of 6 hours minimum, for buying water or food or even medicine for that matter.
My Mother had to get down at the ‘Sevagram’ station to buy water, where the stoppage is only 2 mins, and in this attempt she got slipped while boarding the train, as it started moving. She had to do this herself since no one around was cooperating at all. No one was aware about the stoppage time of this station. This station is not listed under the official stoppages of the train. The train was made to halt for a min upon this incident. She got severely injured. During the journey, there was no response from the TT, upon requesting for medical assistance several times. She had to wait till her destination station. The pain did increase during the journey and in such conditions the patient is expected to run around to search the TT first, who never bother to respond. This entire accident and pain due to this injury could be avoided very well, if the staff was little helpful.

This is extremely sad to know that the members of the Nagpur railway staff have always been very non-cooperative in every train for that matter. The attendants boarding the train should be made aware to help the passengers in extreme conditions when required. A small unwillingness on their part could cost a life at times.
In this journey, there was no sign of any medical assistance, even when the patient requested for more than 5 times. This is extremely risky to make any of our elderly female family members travel by this train.

The details of the journey are mentioned here below:
                Train Name: GKP YPR EXP
                Train Number: 5015

I am a railway agent so i book tickets for customers
In e ticket railway charges Reservation charges 20/- for Sleeper & for Third A/c 25/- per passenger
In e ticket charging reservation charges is not justified because reservation charges are charged for normal tickets which are booked from Reservation Counters of Indian railway to meet their expenses.
Wherever as in e ticket Reservation Counters have no role to play so charging reservation charges to e ticket is invalid.
To book e ticket agent should be commission in the form of reservation charge so that to promote railway agent and people book ticket from nearby railway agents
Agent pays yearly charges for agency so charging IRCTC 10/- for sleeper and 20/- for AC per ticket is not justified.
On one way railways want to promote railway agent and booking from IRCTC instead of that they stopped booking for tatkal from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
Railway should think about expansion to meet the demands where as charging more in the form of tatkal.
It's a clear case of cheating to people by saying that fares are not hired. but we know that quota for tatkal are increased.
It's not a complain, but it is against rules which are not correct
                        Hope for the best solution

                          Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

I am travelling from Bangalore to Hyderabad in Kacheguda Express and I boarded on RAC. TT checked the ticket and he told it might not be possible for confirmation as berths were not available. To my surprise later he was giving berths to lot of people ( around 10 ) by writing some receipt who had a general train ticket and taking some dakshin from them. Inspite of repeated requests to him he did not allot a birth. Could some one tell whether there is some complaint register or the system is rotten. Will the system be always the same and can nothing be done on this incident.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,

With respect to the PNR no [protected], I had filed my TDR as did not undertake the journey, since the train was delayed for more than 5 hours.

I had an urgent meeting in Delhi at 12 noon the next day, which I would not have been able to attend, had I traveled on this ticket.

Thus, I traveled through flight between Patna - Delhi on the next day morning flight from Indian Airlines, the ticket is attached for your reference.

First of all, the time taken for decisioning is more than 90 days which does not meet your SLA and commitment and promise of 90 days TAT for decisioning.

Secondly, I am completely shocked and aghasted to note that my TDR has been repudiated.

I would challenge this and would like to take it to the next level of escalation and grievance redressal matrix.

This is not at all acceptable and such treatments definitely discourages one from e-ticketing, this is pure harassment of a genuine customer and the time taken for the decisioning also is pathetic and disgusting.

I intend to pursue this through consumer forum as well, the delay in decisioning and repudiation decision, I have proofs that I did not travel on that day on the ticket appended below, which I have claimed for TDR.

You are more than welcome to call me and contact me for any more details or clarifications on this.

                            Regards,
                            Rajiv

This is to bring to the attention of concerned railway authorities about the mismanagement prevailing in the 2 tier a.c compartment. I had been travelling to gorakhpur from mumbai on 23/06/2010 by train-5017/gorakhpur express , PNR NO-[protected] ,Seat no.0045.On the way to gorakhpur , i came across a guy who was holding the seat no 13 , same coach, pretended that he was regular traveller to allahabad and other cities for bussiness trip , had a friendly approach , initially , and later on he bluffed me with some sleeping pills , adding to the eatables carrying away my valuable belongings .This incident was shocking experience thereby losing the faith in railways . Concluded that travelling in train irrespective of any class is not safer ,today. This clearly indicates no one is safe in the compartment thereby indicating the poorest mangement .

I had booked my ticket on internet on 23.06.2010 for return from Mumbai on 03.07.2010 by Garib Rath. Since ticket was not got confirmed I purchased an open ticket. On the way from ticket counter to platform one Mr. Riyaz ( Mobile No. [protected]) contacted me and informed that some VIP Quota seats have not been reserved so if you are interested I can get your open ticket converted in to confirmed birth. I agreed and paid him open ticket and Rs. 2000/-. When there were only ten minutes left in departure he gave me two tickets one from Mumbai to Surat and another from Surat to Delhi ( RLWL 43). Since first ticket from Mumbai to Surat was in my name and due to shortage of time I did not check other ticket properly. On the way I came to know he has cheated me and the whole night I had to spend near to Toilet. On the way I met another person who was also cheated in the same manner by Mr. Manoj.

In view of the above facts I understand that a gang of cheats in connivance with railway officials/staff is operating at Bandra Railway Station. I, therefore, request you to please take suitable action so that innocent persons are not cheated and spend nights in a horrible manner in trains.

On[protected] morning 7:56 AM train from Kalyan to Ghatkopar, I was travelling in Second Class Handicapped Bogie. When I got down at Ghatkopar, a Ticket Collector asked me for my ticket/pass. When I showed my railway pass, the TC forcefully took my pass and kept with him in his pocket. When I explained that I am handicapped person, he was not ready to listen anything and took me to TC Office. He checked my pockets. After he asked for 60% handicapped certificate. When I showed him my 45% handicapped certificate, he refused to accept. He said I am not eligible to travel in Handicapped Bogie and demanded Rs. 345 Fine from me. He also threatned me that if I do not comply with his demands, he will send me Byculla Jail. I called my superior(BEST) from TC's Mobile. He also tried to explain the fact but he was not ready to accept anything. Evening I went to Ghatkopar Station Master with some of my collegues, but I was not provided with an answer for that morning matter. My Fine Reciept No. 297451 is with me as a proof. I want a refund of all my money.

If this was not enough after all this, he further threatned me that in future also he will fine me and also told me to remember his name. He said his name was Mr. Patil. Even after having all valid certificates that TC harassed me. I beg you to look into this matter at your earliest.

I am attaching all the documents that were with me as a proof.

Recently I have started to travel daily by AC class of Deccan Queen from Lonavala to Dadar and back.Though 23 seat quota is for lonavala I came across very arrogant, admond and selfish culture.Specially today I visited one Awliya who kept bags on seat. When I asked to remove that, uncivilized person told me that bags are kept so that it would be comfortable to seat him in absence of passenger. What a non sense ? Also I met one chinese billa (China returned man) who insists new passengers to keep his seat vaccant always as he is travelling for last 25 years. But I cant see such seniority on season tickets. Also keeping hankis, objects on seats to reserve seats for friends which are not present is so common. As season tickets are not provided with seat no. how these vegabonds can say that these are their seats ?Is any machinary is working to resolve the issue?
From last few months I have seen that just talking english, hindi or well dressed habits cant prove a person as gentleman nor good citizen. These are selfish animals without sense of humanity and jungli attitude.I hope that they will improve or some action will be taken to improve them.

Rail ticket purchased under PNR No.[protected] for journey from Patna to New Delhi. The journey could not undertake on sheduled date i.e. 16.06.2010 due to some personal problem.
Now I am running after the Reservation counter for refund. All the times they are replying that the coach incharge has not submitted report that the berth remained vacant. I am sending this complaint to Railway Vigilance department too.
