I am wesley titus, a regular customer of indigo.

I was about to fly from delhi to chennai dated 10th jan 2018
Pnr: w9ndmv
Flt no: 6e 606
Boarding pass attached. Please find it.

Incident:-
A) i had boarding pass through web-check-in.
B) departure time was 7:15, i was at the counter by 6:45 am. I need to collect the boarding pass with gate number. The soft copies doesn't print the gate no.
C) the staff told me "you have to go to h series" and then he left without guiding me. He knows i am late. (I don't know what is h series, i never been there)
D) i need carry my luggage once again to find an indigo staff in uniform ask of h series. He guided me. There were few long queues. I didn't have time to wait. I excused myself with passengers to go to the counter staff.
E) i made a mistake - i told "i am going to my sister's wedding. Please let me catch the flight" she said she can't help me. She called another person. I said to him the same thing. "i am going to my sister's wedding. Please let me catch the flight"
F) he said i am sorry. I was angry. I had to request him. I told him 'let me talk to some other senior staff. Please give me the pass i can rush in now. I have 25 minutes more"he dialled from his phone and gave me negative reply.
G) i suspect since i told i told i am going to my sister's wedding, staff thought anyway i have to go. So he took advantage of my situation. Instead of helping me in my emergency, they reacted negatively.
H) he told you can take the next flight and then he left. I had to request him again, since i have already checked-in, please help me. But he said"i have already given my reply, please take the next flight"
They could have let me in with a warning. I felt angry, frustrated, helpless and felt cheated
I) i asked the counter staff about the next told me i have to extra rs.8500/- to book the next flight. (I felt it was expensive and unfair)
J) i asked whether i can pay the money during my return journey (I had round trip with the indigo itself). She said without payment i can't do anything.
K) so i had to arrange money from my father. At one point when i was enquiring the staff hurried me that i may even miss the second flight. (It was like pouring boiled oil on my wounds!!)
L) i told her it's expensive. Then she asked other staff (Same person who denied my entry), i replied something to her. Then she said, i have to pay rs.5564/-
M) so with the pain, i paid (If you reading this, it may be a small amount of money for you, but for me at that time, it's huge. Hope you understand the value of one penny)
N) and during boarding, i was stopped by an alert at the gates. The staff told me my check-in bag does have my prohibited material (Oh my god another struggle!!!)
O) so she had to take to godown, where i found it was my power bank. They said they can't permit me with power bank.
They check-in luggage staff didn't ask me anything before taking my luggage. I requested them,"i need power bank. I had to travel from chennai to hometown and i have a meeting. I need it. I thought we should not keep it handbag" they didn't listen. They took the power bank. They could have given it to the staff to put it in my handbag and advice with a warning. As they can see, it is not attached to any exploding device. It's plain power bank.

I hope you understand what i am saying?
We are here help people in their distress, not to take advantage of their situations. The bad treatment is still in my heart even after few months. That's why i am writing to you to seek resolution.

Complaints
A) i have already checked-in. How can they deny me entry, when i am present well before the departure.
B) the helpless attitude of staff at the counter
C) purposely taking advantage of the situation of the passenger
D) frustration and embarrassment
E) arbitrary fee for next flight if the present flight is missed.

Retribution:-

You please decide!!

I want to tell you what happened in chennai airport:- (Same service provider:- indigo) during my return journey

A) at the counter, the staff read out the list of prohibited material

B) i had carried some spices - 10 bottles - the staff told i can't carry it with my handbag. It's not allowed. You have to keep them in check-in luggage. But i don't have another bag to keep them. She asked me to approach another staff. She understood my need. Ran to carry an empty carton put all the spices and tapped thoroughly and sealed it with indigo labels.

C) in this mess, i forgot where i had kept the boarding pass. I searched in the handbag for a while, but in vain. So i had to gain to the counter to explain the situation, the staff kept me calm and issued another boarding pass.

I felt so thankful and blessed that morning.

What if above 3 incidents happened in delhi indigo?

Resolution/retribution:- you please decide!!

During my last three flights, I observed deterioration in below area
1.Service on flight
2.Food Quality
3.Staff behaviour

Poor Service on flight and unhygienic food and arrogant behavior by crew member

Requesting you to improve it otherwise from May 2018, I will avoid to use Indigo Airlines.

The staff couldn’t, clear the queue on time and then they cleverly closed the gates and said ur late and cannot board the flight and we asked why ? We have been in queue on time it’s ur problem u couldn’t finish on time they didn’t agree to refund . Saying it’s ur fault. How is it my fault, and they even didn’t agree to call a manager . Thanks .

While we understand your sentiment, it is pertinent to note that reporting on-time is passenger's sole responsibility. Also, we advise our passengers to reach the airport at least 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure to avoid any last min hassle. As per policy, boarding gate closes 25 mins prior from scheduled departure. Since our boarding gates were already closed at the time of reporting, our staff was unable to accept you for the flight. We look forward towards your understanding in this regard.

    As iam traveling from mumbai to raipur on flight 6e-324 from 14:25 pm to 16:25 pm o had reached airport at 1:15 due to crowd in airport they had shiffted me in largen line as i had told then iam going late pls get me in they had said no rules are rules everyone is equal ok then i had given my baggage and all that and thn when ima going dor boarding they said sir you arelate you cannot do boarding and i had tell him all the reasons thats itsnit my mistake itsyour staaf mistake and iam only 5 mins this is an domestic airline not an international that that if iam 5mins late they dont give me to board even in international airlines they need to give me boarding worst airline very worstt

      I was travelling on flight number 6e 711 on 25th april 2018 from mumbai to goa. I had an excess baggage of 8 kgs for which i had to pay 2400. However the amount of rs 2400 has been debited twice from my hdfc account and after repeated calls and mails sent to the call centre, i have not received any positive revert.         I was travelling from indore to bangalore. My flight was at 6:55 and i was there for the check-in at 6:00 that is exactly before 45 mins of the departure of flight but due to crowd during the check in i reached the check in counter at 6:20 and he told me go to other counter i cant take u in. When i went there i was told that we can't take your bag. I was of the opinion that no one was there to take care of my bag and i need my bag also with me. Then again they sent me to the other counter. Because of this i wasted my 15 more mins and finally she told now you can't board the flight. They didn't told me clearly that they will send my bag with the other flight before. When i went back and checked then she told that i was giving you option which was not told clearly before.

        This way i missed my flight and spent another some thousands for booking the other flight.

As per policy, check-in counter closes 45 minutes prior from scheduled departure time. Based on our records, you reported at 18:25 hours. Since our check-in counters were already closed for the flight, our staff was unable to accept you for the flight

          Called mANY TIMEs...no response...same behaviour...picking up the call and telling bull ### excussess...indigo has an dirty and idiotic people as thier staff...

          The day when the flight was delayed for 5 hrs they were very humble...the moment we quoted from there the showed their way of treating a customer...

          I continuously called him but no response...i[censored] can’t resolve it then confirm me I will leave my money...no problem

          I was traveling from Bangalore to Mumbai on 23rd April 18 by flight 6E849. When I reached at my destination i found my both the baggage were damaged. The cost of each bag was around 5000/-Rs. Please refund my baggage amounts as early as possible.

            I travelled in 6E823 from AMD TO BLR on 27th April 2018. My PNR is I9IYMS. I had requested for WC with escort on 23rd of September 2017 but I had to wait for escort both the arrival and exit time. There was not any information for WC on check in counter.
            I'm totally disappointed for this irresponsible service of indigo. I can't recommend for indigo in future

              We were a family of four with two daughters one 7 and other a teenager. The ticketing boy at kolkata insisted to see them before making the tickets. Fine. We had to wait for almost an hour, with minimum seating arrangement at the boarding gate, we had to stand all the while. Some with kids and even patiens nobody bothered to see the inconvinience or even give any information as to what or why, though the staff were there and on mobile.
              So far so bad. Once in the flight we were surprised to find that after seeing in person, our seats were all scattered in centres. Four o[censored]s in four centre seats meaning my 7 year daughter in between two unknown men, my teenager too in between two unknown men and we parents on the other side. We talked to the airhostess who could do nothing to help. The flight being an evening flight, late by an hour, i was panicked if the lights were out. Why do we need to waste so much time energy and money for glorifying asifa or her sufferings, if we create them deliberately... Unfortunately no passenger would leave their seat, we pleaded for atleast one. They chose to converse to person across the aisle, not to be besides... How unhelpful, inconsiderate and plastic hospitality and the smile of the service. The airhostesses are more salesgirls than anything else. To hell with girl power and sukhad yatra. Airhostess and other staffs were better off without these costly hospitality courses and styles. Looks like all rules and good manners are expected and burdened on the consumers only. While the staffs are unhelpful, ill mannered and threatening on security and theft. Please do something. Awake and get out of the plastic mind. It is more dangerous than the plastics in hand.

                On 28th april 2018 i had my flight from bangalore to kolkata. At that day during security checking the security lady open my camera bag. I told her it is a very costly camera. Still she open my camera bag zip. And i lost my canon eos 1500 charger and battery. I think they purposely took my camera charger and battery. Please help to find my camera charger and battery. It is very costly.

                  I have book the ticket thought goibibo app to indigo airlines departure date 24th may and due to some changes I have cancelled the ticket booked fresh ticket. Latter I have SMS saying that your refund amount is 3352. And I have paid 14500 when call customer they told me it's cancellation charge.they are refused to refund my amount... What the ###...for cancellations you will charge ###in 10000 from my account. Refund my money immediately

                    I recieved an advertisement offer for job through naukri.com for ground staff designation at indigo airlines it was mentioned in the offer letter that a refundable amount of 9600 was to be paid and at the date of job interview the money will be refunded back !! Furtheron next day the person called me and said to deposit a sum of 29600 as i have been selected and interview formality is not required when i refused to pay him the requested amount he disconnected the call and now all his no are switch off !! Kindly help to recover the amount of 9600 i will enclose the screen shots of the payment that i have done to him !!

                      My pnr number is ffulmq. I'm a frequent flyer of indigo. It's sad to see such poor service from indigo. I rescheduled my return flight on 8/4/18... I paid money also. The transaction status was successful and i could see the amount on indigo site also but my flight wasn't rescheduled. Recently when i called regarding this i was asked to pay more money. And now they say they haven't received the money... Then they say they will refund the money, though the site mentions that the money had been received. It's a pure case of cheating. Indigo is asking for more money for its own fault. Such things are not expected. That's regardless of the fact that that i'm a frequent traveller of indigo. It's really sad. I wish to go to consumers court.

                        I'm coming on Jaipur airport on 29.04.18 for flight 6E 569 Jaipur to Chennai and Chennai to vtz i come 35 minute before departure of flight but your crew not permit me for bording in flight

                          Hi,

                          My pnr is sgvnq and flight number is 6e 844 from kolkata to lucknow. They didn't allow me and my family to board flight despite being on time. I spoke to indigo concerned person however they said i am late. We fight half and hour and doors got close due to which we missed flight.

                          I didn't expect this from indigo. I want my refund back rs 8, 382.

                          Dear Sir,

                          This is not first time I was travelling with Indigo and I better know about terms and conditions. If they wanted they would have allowed us. I am looking for my full amount which got auto cancel by Indigo. It’s not cancel by me so that I will get ~2500₹ I want my full amount refund ₹8382.

                            My flight indigo, 6e-811 was at 5:15 from bangalore to raipur on 28th april 2018,
                            I reached airport at 4:10 am and they asked me to get into the queue when my number came they asked me to go for the self check-in, when i went their it was displaying that web check-in is closed, then again i asked one of the indigo member she told that go to the check-in counter when again i reached their she told that i am 5 min late i can not board the flight.
                            What a waste service from indigo people they can't manage people, we people are suffering due to these kind things.

                              Respected Sir,
                              I am currently going through this situation and i ll greatly appreciate any response.

                              I and my family in India have great respect for Indigo, But i regret to say that Indigo customer care has given me a hard time in the past few hours. I question our loyalty to indigo.

                              I made three calls to confirm that i can add the international package for 1500 rs to my connecting indigo flight on April 28, 2018 at 6.35 am from new delhi to lucknow(PNR: FBU73M). I was never clearly told that 24 hours before, the international baggage excess cannot be added. All the time agents asked me to go to the website and told me that it can be added 6 hrs before departure. I tried to add the bagge 23 hours before the flight unaware of this and it did not allow me. I made a call to customer care, they said they could see the two calls i made the previous day and that the will make a requst for another team to review the phone call and get back to me. 6 hrs later, no phone call. I called them again and this time they are telling me that they are not able to pull the recordings for that number i called from( agent Sneha from Pune call center). I asked her to transfer me to supervisor or manager, she was giving reasons not to and finally when she transfrerred kept me waiting for hours. She told me they need another 2 hours to check that phone no.

                              We still have 8 hours to this flight tomorrow morning. My wife and infant kid are travelling alone and they dont have excess cash with them. With a kid, she will face lot of problems to transfer items into 7 kg hand baggages. Inorder to not go through this trouble i wanted to buy 30 kg excess baggage at 1500 rs. Now they are trying to apply domestic charges that can go upto 10, 000 rs. The call center is delaying my online booking even further, in a couple of hours, the 6hour option for domestic charge will also expire and they will charge even higher rate. I trusted these people and added lot of excess baggage which we could have avoided. Knowing this would happen i called up Indigo two days before flight, but they never gave me a clear idea this would happen.

                              We still; have 8 hours for this flight. I will greatly appreciate if you can intervene and make this easy for us. You ca reach me at che.[protected]@gmail.com . I have emailed your comlaint service on your website as well.

                                  Dear concern,
                                  I had to travel by 6.45pm indigo flight from bangalore to hyderabad on 27th april 2018. Reached the g11 gate by 6.25pm. The lady staff from indigo said that the gate is closed and proceed to gate 6, my supervisor will help you to get into 8.25pm flight. As i rushed to gate 6, the lady staff (Radhika) simply said the flight is full. Next available flight you can try that is at 10.30pm. When i said your staff asked me to come over here to get into the 8.25 pm flight then 1st radhika said just now ticket had purchased by somebody flight is full, then after argument she said she asked my to come to gate 6 by 7.20pm. When i went there she was giving the seat to somebody and charged rs.1000/- but to me she said flight is full.
                                  My question is that when flight is full how can she had given seat to other guy. Is really the 8.25 flight was full.
                                  I had to reach my home urgently, due to this confusion i am upset and all my plans cancelled.
                                  Still i am sitting in the airport without having any confirmation from the indigo airlines.

As per policy, boarding gate closes 25 minutes prior to departure. Our staff has no reason to deny boarding to passengers who report on-time. Based on our records, you reported at 18:31 hours on the counters. Since, our counter was closed at the time of reporting our staff was unable to accept you for the flight.
                                  At IndiGo, our endeavour is to assist our valued passengers at all times, therefore with an intention to help to reach the destination, our airport team offered accommodation in the next available flight. Flight at 20:25 hr was full at the time you reported. As always, we were happy to have provided assistance to you and would request your understanding in this regard.

                                  I agree I was late. I have only problem is your staff change in communication within seconds.
                                  Second please check the guy got accommodated in 8.25 flight, came after me to the counter that you can check in the cctv.
                                  Looking at these thing I loose respect on the service providers.

                                  Please ask your staff to give right communication(check n confirm before committing as one staff asked me to go to gate 6 to get accommodated in the 8.25 flight moreover she spoke to her supervisor before asking me) to the passengers.

                                  We would like to summarize our findings. As you reported at the gate after closure re-accommodation option was offered for 20:25 pm flight. The recommendation booking can only be done at one particular counter and our team requested you to report at the counter in order to confirm the recommendation booking. However, by the time you reported at the counter flight for 20:25 pm departure was full and same was communicated to you by our staff. In order to assist you, our team offered an option of next flight for 22:20 pm departure at nominal charges of 1000, which was accepted by you. We thank you for taking out time to share your concern and we assure you of our best services at all times. We look forward to serving you on board again.

                                    27th april 2018- bengaluru to bagdogra at 6:50am. Pnr jymzqs
                                    We had done web check-in and reached the counter at 6:17 am. We still had 45mins time. They said it's closed and didn't allow us and sent us to book the next flight. We couldn't get the next connecting flight and also was not available for next 3 days. Is this the way to make money. We have two small kids and is this how the indigo treats us. We had to cancel it and we hardly got any money for cancellation. There was a huge queue in indigo counter which makes me feel that this is the way the airlines is taking undue advantage of the situation to make illicit money. All the other flight counters were free. I think we will take legal opinion on this.
                                    P. S: i'm very sure by now indigo airlines has got immune to all these complaints since the review is so bad. I should have checked the reviews before booking a flight in indigo.

                                    Every flight would give some amount of concern for the customers. I'm a regular traveler. I have traveled to different countries and I was in the same situation or maybe I have reached a bit later. This is not the way Indigo treats the customer. This is how Indigo is making money. You should have consideration for a few customers with kids. I regret to say that I don't agree with your policies.

                                      Pls; Note, on 24th Morning i had a flight to Chennai to DELHI at 5 AM. Booking reference number is DH843K.

                                      i reached the chennai airport at 3:35AM and reached the baggage screening area at 3:40 AM.

                                      there was 2 machine for baggage screening but only one was working.

                                      there was 50 members in the Q.

                                      i was standing for 20 mins for screening, i tried to go in front, but no body allowed.

                                      4 AM i reached the HANDICAPPED BORDING point and waiting in the Q for almost 6 to 8 mins.

                                      4:08, i reached the counter and the lady was taking my ticket and ID and trying to issue the boarding pass.

                                      4: 12 to 4:14, she called another person Mr. SRIRAM to help her as she could not print the boarding pass.

                                      4:15, they told me to go to counter 51.

                                      4:16 i went to 51 counter, but they deny boarding pass and ask me to get in touch with the MANAGER.

                                      4:17 i meet the manager or someone they point out to me, but he refuse to board me.

                                      i was having a connecting flight to GANGZHOU-CHINA at 11:55 AM and i requested him to understand.

                                      he denied.

                                      they told me NO DIRECT flight till noon.

                                      i beg till 4:40 and then took another flight and come to DELHI.

                                      After reaching DELHI, i called the customer care INDIGO and raised this complaint. they took complaint and waiting for answers. During this call that lady told me there was an another direct flight at 6 AM which was not informed to me when i was requesting the MANAGER.

                                      Here

                                      1. I am handicapped person
                                      2. i reached airport at 3:40 and boarding counter at 4 AM
                                      3. i was denied boarding at 4:17 AM where as flight time is 5AM only
                                      4. AIRLINE did not inform me about another direct flight
                                      5. AIRLINE overbooked the seats and trying to bye pass the passengers who come in the edge of the time
                                      6. Here i need full refund of this ticket
                                      7. I spent 24117 INR for Chennai to DELHI ticket, i need refund of that amount as well
                                      8. i need compensation

                                        I have booked my ticket through yatra for travelling scheduled on 2nd may, 2018 from delhi to kolkata by indigo flight no 6e-455 and my pnr no is oyh6kf. By oversight while booking the ticket the title of my wife (S. Chakraborty) has appeared as mr. Instead of ms.
                                        On noticing the same we immediately contacted indigo customer care and requested them to modify the necessary changes in this regard and they assured us to do the needful then.
                                        Now since did not receive any communication we have once again contacted them yesterday and spoken many a times without any result so far.
                                        It will be relevent here to mention that my outbound journey (Kolkata to delhi) is booked through goair and they did the modification within 30 mins. Time without any hassel and was expecting same from indigo as well.
                                        Now once again requesting you to do the needful since my journey is approaching fast.
                                        My yatra ref no is[protected].
                                        Further i am a frequent flier with indigo booking through fcm travels earlier and now directly and on an average take 50-60 domestic and international flights every year.

                                        My wife is travelling through indigo airlines flight ( 6E 6236 and PNR- TJBNSK ) on dated 20th April 2018 . The boarding assistance lady forcefully taken boarding pass and luggage from her and harrased to the core. Such unethical attitudes is simply unacceptable.
