Change my flight without permission

My parents were supposed to travel on a trip to Bangalore from Kolkata in January 2017. We booked a round trip via Indigo on Make my trip. (Booking ID - NF[protected], with PNR: OH7Y5B.

My father however, had an accident due to which my parents have decided not to travel, since he is partially bedridden now.

As per the ticket, we are supposed to get back a refund of approximately 10000 to 11000 rupees after cancellation charges. (2550*2=5100) from my original paid amount of 16000 rupees.

However, once I applied for a refund, I was told only 5000 rupees will be refunded. I still went ahead with the cancellation, hoping to get back at least some money.

The final refund was only Rupees 320.

This looks like stealing, and I am quite disturbed by this. Please help.

I had complained on Twitter and that gave the fastest response from the company. I got the complete refund within a few days.

Thank you for the prompt response. Yes, we have received an acknowledgement on Twitter for the same. Still waiting for the actual refund, which supposedly needs 3-5 days to transfer to our account.

This is to inform you that as of 13:11:05 today, we received ONLY INR 264 from Make My Trip, out of the INR 6654 promised. Please help. No response from the MM Trip Care Twitter handle so far. :(

    I am a passenger traveling for Indigo 6E 404 from Nagpur to Mumbai. My PnR no. is V618FY. My flight has been delayed for more than 2.5 hours on 30th November 2016.

    There was no message send to me regarding the same. Your staff seems to have a lot of attitude for people in service industry. Well that's your choice how you train your people but it's definitely my problem that I will reach Mumbai now at 12:30 instead of 10 which is pretty late .
    Therefore I am claiming my compensation for the same as per Aviation ministry.

    And pls. Don't respond saying that the delay was due to weather conditions becoz weather can't be bad only for Indigo airlines. As all other airlines departed on right time.

    Hoping there will a service for your side.

      I was with baggage exceeding 15 kgs, had to pay for the excess. First I waited for 10 mins just for the amount to be paid then I went to 2nd last counter to pay as usual nobody was present. Again waited for 15 mins, went to other staff to atleast take payment and take my baggage. Only 10 mins was left to boarding time and as requested to supervisor she just spoke with utter arrogance as I am a beggar begging to let me board in. She just ignored talking to me and continously I was requesting her that time is passing away take payment and let me board. she just didnt responded and I missed boarding time. even after that none of the staff bothered. They did it purposely as I was flying just 2nd time and then I had to buy a ticket for the next flight and then suddenly there is staff on the cash counter. So money specific they are. If this is the service there isn't any difference between Indigo and any other airlines. I bought Indigo tickets paying higher as I thought the service would be best as I am not a frequent flier. Heights of absurdity. Never will I fly with Indigo. better travel by train. NEVER GO with INDIGO

        I travelled from USA to chennai and I booked ticket from Chennai to Trivandrum through Indigo Airlines and I was told that there is a charge for additional luggage and also indigo airlines has international travelers luggage concision.
        I reached the airport 2 hours earlier and went for check in they told i need to pay Rs.7600.00 for additional luggage. They don't have flight from USA so they cannot give concision for my luggage.
        I spoke with the Manager Mr.Arjun to cancel our tickets since I am not aware that USA Flights cannot be given Luggage concision.
        He treated us like beggars his attitude and his reply was so arrogant and nobody can tolerate it. I paid my luggage cahrge and travelled but hear after I won't recommend anyone or travel in this airlines.

          I am commander ashish mittal serving in indian navy.

          the issue here is as follows:-

          1. in last 24 hours i have booked tickets for 6 individuals. in which four time its mine own reservation.

          2. by mistake, due to some confusion, i have booked ticket from coimbtore to delhi twice on same date for myself. First ticket was booked on 24 Nov 1645 hours(UTC) ie booking refrence LC4G5T flight no. 6E 6364 and 6E952 (both are connecting flight) from coimbtore to Delhi on 16/17 Dec.

          3. view some issue, i could not see the mail and confirmed booking of the same view some technical issue at my end. i booked the ticket on same sector that is coimbtore delhi for same date 17 Dec vide booking refernce number OYPL7J by different flight of your i.e 6E 396 on 25 Nov at 1505 hours(UTC).

          4. i realised my mistake within 15 min., and i called up customer care at about 1630(UTC) for cancellation of one of ticket. then i realised that i will not get full refund for any of the ticket. i took the email id for forwarding this erquest from them and got the ticket cancelled mentioned in para 3 above.

          5. hence, in view of the above, it is requested that case may be considered at your end. as the ticket was booked for same person for the same sector on same date(17 dec), the ticket money may be refunded as whole sum .

          6. your support will be appreciated.

            On 01 nov 16, i alongwith my wife brijlata mittal travelled by indigo flight no. 6e 3216 scheduled to leave mumbai for delhi at 1050 am. The pnr number was ji9ijb. We two are aged 77 and 74 years. We reached the airport before time and took a pre-arranged wheeled-chair for my wife. After booking of three baggage, at the check-in counter, we proceeded for security check with only one hand baggage. On completing the formalities, we were waiting for call for enplaning. Then suddenly, the counter lady approached my wife to tell her that we would have to shell out charges for the hand baggage. She took her wheeled chair aside and asked her to wait. On my questioning, she asked me to talk to another person there. They did not listen to our pleadings till all other passengers were allowed to proceed to the aircraft. Then they told us to pay rs.1000/- for the baggage which, they said was around 10kg in weight. Thus, instead of we as elderly couple being given priority to get into the plane were imprisoned to wait till the end. My wife suddenly felt restless on thus being treated as culprits in front of the entire crowd in the hall.in order to avoid the public glare an humiliation at the hands of those two persons and to avoiid missing the flight, i had no alternative but to shell out the amount as demanded, for which they were not giving me the receipt. On my asking for it they further asked us to wait till 10 minutes or more. As my wife was getting nervous, i requested them to let us go even without the receipt, to which they said that they had called for the receipt from below and the same will be delivered in the plane. We thus we escaped the further ordeal at the hands of two unsympathetic, and allowed to proceed as the last late comers. The receipt no. 367315 for the amount of rs.1000/- was delivered, after another 12-13 minutes, resulting into delayed departure of the plane by 25 minutes. I am still at a loss to understand why we were made to pay rs.1000/- for our hand baggage, while all other passengers were carrying bigger loads. My son, who contacted us from his office on phone about our safe departure panicked hearing about our horror and contacted the authorities but without success.
            Since i was in delhi and u. P. Till 19 nov, i conveyed a message to your office only on return by vistara flight and getting access to computer, i conveyed a message on 22/11/2016 that was wrongly addressed. Hence, this new message in the hope of getting hearing and justice from you.

              Hi,

              I'd like to give some feedback on my unpleasant experience in kathmandu airport on the 18th of november, 2016.

              My friend and i were travelling back into delhi after a wonderful long weekend in kathmandu.
              At check in, my friend and i realised we had made the foolish mistake of letting our indian visas expire by a couple of days and rightfully your staff refused to let us travel.
              We were approached by one of your representatives called 'rupesh kumar' who told my friend and i we cannot travel that day but would be able to travel the next day into india by transit as we only had 24 hours until our flight back to london.
              He refused to waiver a transfer flight for us but offered us a 'bargain' £180 each (Cash only!!) that we could travel the next day.
              He also personally gave me his card to mention his travel company he runs, should we desire any tours.

              I work for british airways in london for 12 years and i know from previous experience that this could easily of been handled and that in no uncertain terms was the 'bargain' £180 each ever going to help us and go straight into mr kumar's back pocket.
              I am angry and a little disappointed.

              Thankfully jet airways took sympathy with us and let us fly the next day.

              I would be grateful for any feedback that you may give.
              I personally have mr kumar's personal card, should you desire it for proof.

                I purchased a return ticket online from indigo website in the name of mrs. Suktara ganguli on 07.10.2016 and cancelled the same at about 10 a. M. On 18.11.2016. I received a mail from the airlines that a sum of rs.4800 has been deducted as cancellation other charges and i was to get a refund of rs.3239 which was lying in my credit. Since then more than days have passed i am yet to get the refund. I am very unhappy, because when i travel by air, i always choose indigo airlines. Please arrange for immediate refund and oblige.

                    I returned to Hyderabad from Dubai, UAE, on flight 6E 25 INDIGO Airlines, which arrived 19/Aug/2016 at around 3 PM. At Hyderabad International Air Port. India.

                    My luggage, I Checked in with 2 Bags at Dubai International Airport which was supposed to land with me in Hyderabad but i got only 1 baggage my second baggage tag No. 6E[protected]. has apparently been completely miss-placed and possibly Lost. The ground staff at the Hyderabad Airport lost luggage counter, where I spoke with Ground Staff informed me that they would be in touch within (24) hours to inform me of where and when my luggage would be tracked and call me. They also ask me to wait at the airport to check weather the baggage is still in Aircraft or and the ground I waited for 3 Hours.

                    It has been 4 Months now; I have spoken to many staff members on numerous times since my arrival and they has absolutely no information for me as to the whereabouts of my luggage!

                    I find it completely unprofessional how in our world today with the security and technology available to you as a large airline can completely miss-place baggage. After 2 Months of hard strugle they call me once and offer compensation which is very small amount.

                    I have already complain many times with Indigo i request them to send me written compensation by email so that i can go for consumer forum. I have all the call recordings also my total value of my belongings inside my luggage is more than double what my Airlines are able to pay out. I have certain items inside which are completely irreplaceable.

                    I hope that the bag will be located and sent back but should it never turn up and be reported missing indefinitely, I believe that I am entitled to some form of compensation from the airline.

                      Expensive Liquor stolen from check in luggage.

                      The Lock was broken and an expensive bottle of Johnny Walker Gold Label Limited Edition worth Rs 8000 was stolen from the bag.
                      The zip was fine and i took notice of the broken lock when i reached my hotel in North Goa. Also, the luggage tag was peeled off and was stuck to the lock, hence i missed the broken lock at the airport when i picked the bag from the belt.
                      When i contacted the customer care - they hung up on me.
                      They has told to me that they will provide a job in airlines for that theyhave taken money from me 8000rs please help me

                        I was traveling november 17 frm KTM to DEL 6E32 at check in in KTM they did not allowed my cabin baggage ( small black suitcase. they told me to take camera and computers that I will not pay for it) so I found a small locker in my purse and pu iron.. I quickly did and forgot a pocket inside as it was kind of pressure it was more then 2 hours prior of departure. In Delhi I waited 30 mms to have my bag on the beld than I went straight for my taxi.Arriving at my hotel at Pullmann Aerocity i check in and then in my room i open my luggage the small black suitcase and my big bag. the locker was broken with lots of indigo stickers on it and the zipper was down near the wheels so i could not see that something was wrong.
                        My suit case had been rubbed and an envelope containing 830€ open and empty. all was in mess in the suitcase.
                        I'm now in contact with authorities to deposit a complain thru Police.
                        It's totally unacceptable that things can happen to your clients.
                        You will certainly get in contact with me i keep all the tags seals and stickers as proved plus photos.

                        AFTER 5 DAYS no response phone always busy

                          This is very very bad experience this time traveling in Indigo. It seems Indigo is simply doing business to loot and cheat people. The tagline of Indigo is "On-Time", i think that is only for Public display, Indigo itself doesn't follow his tagline.
                          On 19th Nov(sat), i had to fly from BLR-BBS on 6E-6724 @5.40 A.M morning,
                          PNR: HBE2FG, but i reached @Boarding counter, Bangalore @4.55 A.M but they simply denied me to give the boarding pass and the reason they mentioned is you are 1 min late for Boarding Pass and the counter is closed.i doubt the the Indigo staffs those are sitting in the counter, whether they are educated properly or not because i just requested 3-4 times to consider as i had some emergency and i had to go to Hospital in BBS, but the way they behaved, it does not look like they are Airlines staff, it seems like some local fish market people. This is how they are behaving with customers like customers are going in flight in free of cost, then I have to rush to Indigo Ticket counter for Next flight accommodation which cost me Rs. 5532/- and which is @11.35 A.M on same day 19th Nov(Flight: 6E-971) with same PNR :HBE2FG. Obviously it was straight wastage of my money or I can say Indigo cheated me. OK as per Indigo Tagline"On Time", so i thought it will be on time but the flight departed from Airport 30 mins late i.e 12.05 P.M,
                          Next, on the day I have to return from BBS-BLR on 6E-897 @8:30 A.M morning with same above PNR :HBE2FG but the Interesting part is Flight departed from Airport 25 mins before like 8.05 A.M, It shows how Indigo is doing his monopoly and cheating and looting people. It shows Indigo can do whatever it wants like before time, flight delay and passengers will have to co-operate and adjust with that but Indigo can co-operate his passenger for 1 min delay only for looting some money. Obviously it was really a very sad experience, obviously i am not going to fly again in this Indigo flight who cheats its own customer as well as I will ask all my friends not to fly on this.

                          You are requested to kindly refund my money. Awaiting for your co - operative action.

                            Usually I traveled with 15 kg check in baggage, 7 kg cabin luggage and a laptop bag as handbag baggage with indigo airlines. My spouse traveled with the same combination on 20 November from Indore to Bangalore. I too had this combination on 21 November. But at check-in counter a female indigo staff Tulika Bhatt Acharya didn't allow to consider laptop bag as hand baggage

                              My flight was on sun, nov 20th. 9:20 am.
                              At airpot 2 hours prior for a 9:20am flight. Followed queue to boarding pass collected boarding pass more than an hour before departure time. At security few baggage scanners were out of service. Fought for a queue for baggage scan.. Then again fought my way to security scan. Could only manage to reach boarding gate at 9:05. There were still 15 minutes before flight departure and all the chaos was right infront of airport staff.

                              There were many others like me. But i know the rules of boarding gates close 25 minutes before departure. But in face of the chaos there was at airport not a single ground staff made an effort to call out passengers of this flight upfront. Left at the hands of the security staff who just won’t listen, how could i follow this rule?

                              It was so important to take this flight to see my critically ill father. I wouldn’t do any careless thing to miss this flight. And i was denied boarding.in the face of reality at the state of things there, they denied boarding 15 minutes before departure.

                                My mother travelled in indigo, 6e-845 hyderabad - delhi on 13th november.

                                Pnr-qe88ka

                                Shes a senior citizen. She had two bags with her.

                                One weighing 12 kg, other weighing 11 kg.

                                She was charged rs 1600 and the receipt was not given.

                                This is not the way to harass senior people.

                                Can indigo look into it and see that she gets her rs 1600 back?

                                Hoping for a response.

                                  I had travelled on 16 Nov 2016 from Delhi to udaipur through indigo airlines flight 6E-751. During checkin at Delhi airport I have handed over my trolley bag in good condition but I received broken and out of order handle and torn trolley bag which is now non manageable. After landed udaipur I tried contacting your officials but they asked me to register the online complain. So I just wanted me to reimburse the loss claim which is 4000 rs approx. Waiting for your response...

                                  I had travelled on 31/03/19 from jaipur to kolkata in the flight(6E-237) departing at 9:05pm.This is to state that my baggage has been destroyed in transit and the belt of the baggage could not be traced after i recieved it from conveyor belt in kolkata. I would request u to please make the lost claim, being one of the reputed airlines so that further availment of services can be made with satisfaction.I Want u to compensate the loss immediately.waiting for a response.
