On 24th Aug'2016 we took Indigo 6E-447 flight (pnr SEV7YN) from Lucknow to new delhi Terminal 1. our samsonite suitcase was number locked and was checked in the baggage at lucknow . on arrival, The baggage belt announced in flight was no.4 ; we kept waiting - our luggage didnt come. suddenly being late night around 11:55pm we realized our bag was on belt no.2. we went and took our bags. the suitcase was packed with indigo tapes four times around it which was suprising but we thought may be to ensure safety.
when we reached home and cut the tapes we realised the suitcase locks were cut open and all money (20, 000) was not there. suprised and aghast to see Indigo doing this. The staff broke the lock and packed it nicely with indigo tapes and we cudnt realise the issue. We request refund/compensation for the same. Also they shud apologise for the same.

We sent feedback. Called and reported to which they say they cant do anything after leaving airport.

First you send a notice on available address & ask for relief's you want. Don't forget to mention that if they fails to comply then you will be constrained to file consumer complaint. Send notice by speed post. Keep track of Postal receipt. If Opponent failed to comply then you can move to consumer court where opponent has office. In case you have done transaction online then you can file your complaint in your areas District Forum if yours demand is below 20 Lacs. If above 20 Lacs you need to file the same complaint before State Commission.

    Indigo flight no 6e 293. 12.00 pm flight time date 22nd aug 2016
    Mumbai to Coimbatore

    11.15 am baggage closing time.
    And 25 minutes later boarding closes at 11.40 am that comes to last time to step in.

    I mr imran batliwala was at the web check in at 11.20 but it dint happen so I rush to the counter staff an I was asked to go to counter no 38 a as she said boarding just closed.

    I was at the counter by 11.25 am There was just 1 counter for all different and change flights. So I had to stay in the que despite I was running out of time.

    An by the time my no came it was 11.35 am. You can check the recording at the airport for authenticity.
    I had no luggage so I was less worried as the dead lock time was 11.40 am. But to my horror she the lady at the counter denied me boarding saying you are late.

    Somebody pls explain how can I be late when I was at the counter at 11.20 am and later as they had just 1 counter to handle so many people of different flight.

    It had to get more late. Still according to the airlines 11.40 am was the last time.. I was before time.
    Isn't it there duty to help there clients to get through this hassle and take to any counter an issue a boarding as I had no luggage.

    When I asked for refund she said the ticket is forfeit, she rufused to help me with the next flight also later after asking so much an requesting she asked me that I had to pay 4000/- Rs. For later later flight. No refund at all. No exchange no adjustment.

    I was told by people they indigo take Rs 1000 and adjust in next flight but with me this dint happened at all.

    Wow superb amazing work by indigo.

    I need a refund for this ticket at any cost.
    We Indians are very unfortunate that we have only 2-3 airlines running at our desire time. We have no choice and again we have to fly with them with no options

    Pathetic ground staff of indigo.
    They need to upgrade themself in all category.
    Worst experience 0/10 on hospitality an humanity ground.
    Pls solve my problem at the earliest.

      Below is the complaint lodged on 23/5/16

      My wife and kids have reported about Denying boarding to the passengers having valid ticket and reported at proper check - in time at the last moment due to over booking or some unknown reasons.

      Indigo Airlines — Rude behaviour and excess charging of amount due to negligence by the indigo counter staff


      My wife and younger daugher (In one pnr) and elder daughter in another pnr (Two different ticket) travel to delhi by 6e796 indigo flight today i. E. 21-5-16. Despite being issued boarding passes and completing the security check - in 45 min prior to departure, we were not allowed to board. They were right at the boarding gate with the display board still flashing "final call", but the rude staff did not let us in despite several request. Despite report to the manager but due to his unethical behaviour, he did not allow my family to board flight.

      After argument, request but the adamant manager did not budge. My wife later agreed to board a flight at 6e286 after paying an amount of rs.8309. She verified again from the counter staff that the ticket is for three persons as there is different pnr, the counter staff told that the amount was charged for the three tickets and allowed the boarding pass. But at the entry gate the staff did not allow that there are two different pnr ticket. She was asked to go back again and was not allowed to board the flight 6e286.
      The manager informed that there was mistake by the counter staff and he charged again rs.16208/- from my family in order to board for 6e704 flight which leaves at 2230 at chennai.


      I would like to complaint against the indigo airlines and its staff for rude and unethical behaviour causing lots of mental trauma and financial loss during my family journey.

      Why they were not allowed to board the flight despite they were in time. They were charged an amount to board the next flight but again due to the negligence of the indigo counter staff, my family had to undergo again trauma.

      Now they were in the airport and they charged huge amount despite they were well within their time. I dont know yet what trauma they need to face again at the time boarding flight at 2230 hrs.. Is there any possibility of getting refund of the amount charged and compensation of the trauma they faced due to mistake committed by the indigo counter staff and rude behaviour of the manager.

        Sir our flight departure time was 145 pm we entered inside the office i mean airport right at 1235 as u can check the time while taking boarding pass bill ..we sat for a whilo for a coffee no passengers were entered inside plane as we didnt see anyone going inside, as u have all the facility inside ur aiport kindly check n confirm my messeges. no announcement made from ur side in our name also kindly confirm vide cctv camera too.
        unlikely if needed i will have to take this matter to higher level.

          I missed my flight from bangalore to pune on aug 19th and bought a seat on the next available flight and paid the difference amount. When i received the itinerary from the lady executive, she mentioned that the receipt for the difference amount paid will be sent via email by putting in a request at the call center.

          I spoke to a kumar and a vishwesh and both of them were rude and not ready to understand my query. I spent 20 minutes trying to explain to both of them of what i needed and they kept repeating the same statement over and over again as if they were "programmed' to repeat it. This call was made today, aug 24th between 2:00 pm and 2:20 pm.

          You folks really need to get your call center executives trained on soft skills and to listen to customer requests. Highly disappointing!!

              I the undersigned would like to register a complaint against a robbery attempt on my check in baggage on 20th august, 2016. The baggage was deposited at dimapur airport and was bound for hyderabad. I have locked the baggage with a polo company lock and the indigo crew at the airport had sealed it with a strap. However, on reaching hyderabad, much to my dismay and suspicion, the lock was damaged, the indigo strap and seal had gone missing and one of the trolley zippers had been damaged. I visited an indigo counter to register a complaint but was directed to write to the customer executives instead.
              The lay over in between connecting flights at kolkata was about 4 and half hours. I strongly suspect that the attempt was most probably made at kolkata airport.
              Luckily, the baggage did not contain much valuables besides books.

              However, such breach of protocol and attempted robbery can never be expected from the most respected carrier like the indigo airlines. I sincerely request the indigo officials to take note of this complaint and correct such illegal and disgusting practices. Otherwise, if these complaints get registered with the police and published in the medias, it would be a big blow to the airline's business. And moreover, to choose to fly with indigo would be no more a choice.

                Today 22.08.16 i am faced worst services and behaviour from indigo 6e 161 crew members. The name of the crews are ms gimmika and ms chasers (?). My sit no was 7c. My company hcl was provided ticket for biz trip from delhi to vadodara. Post take off they were started serving food in very casual manner. Before reaching to my sit captain announced for landing. When i asked about my complementary food, they declined and saying food will not being served now. When i looking for feedback form, ms gimmika told it will be only provided after landing coz captain announces for landing and she was worried on her safety. Post landing she was given me the feedback form which i filled but unable to submit yet as no drop box was available in vadodara departure cell. Pls look into it and instruct the crews to provide services on time, based on travel time and behave properly.

                  I had a dreadful experience travelling with Indigo on August 19, 2016 morning. For 8:25 AM flight, boarding pass was issued to me at 7:37 AM (after standing in the queue for 25 mins) which is 48 mins prior to departure which is more than prescribed by the airline. There was heavy rush at the security check-in and no one from Indigo was there either to coordinate or get the security check smoothened. Surprisingly no announcements were made saying last & final call also. I had even taken boarding pass for return journey. The staff of indigo were not at all cooperative and were very rude. There were another 10 passengers struck like me & many of them had even booked onward journey. Please get me justice. I was supposed to attend a court which could not happen because of this nonsense.

                    I was supposed to board indigo (6e-814) from delhi to jaipur on[protected], but indigo staff denied boarding despite of valid ticket. I reported at proper check - in time. It might be due to over booking or some unknown reasons at the last moment.
                    Due to all such harassment i was not able to board my flight and missed important meeting.

                      I am so disappointed with your services, last time also one of your employee's attitude was very bad but anyways i didn't complain but today while travelling i had the worst experience, firstly i had web checkin with me and still i had to wait for 25-30 mins in the line (Whats the use of web-checkin then? Slow employees) your employee who was extremely rude said my luggage was 8 kgs extra and she charged 1100 rupees for that as i just had my taxi money with me i requested her to help me but she was very rude. I asked her if i cud carry one bag in place of handbag but she didnt allow, she lied saying that boarding for my flight is abt to close didn't even give me time to call someone so that i may give some of my luggage. I know she lied as when i reached there the flight was late and they started boarding at 11:45 which was suppose to start at 11:10. I am a student with limited money and how i managed to reach hostel from airport without taxi money only i know.
                      Should i ask for money for making me wait for so long in line? For late flight? Or telling lies? Rudeness?
                      Similar situation happened when i booked flight of air asia. I must mention here that there services was so good as the employee instead of building pressure on me genuinely helped me with the situation rather than grabbing money.
                      Now ur apology message won't be of any help cuz my journey was spoiled and my money is gone. I am done with indigo.

                        I booked indigo flight ticket on 01aug 2016 from delhi to guwahati vide reference no we7dga

                        Today i got the ticket cancelled and indigo charged cancellation charges rs. 2699+27= 2766/- and ready to refund rs. 761/ only

                        Indigo site is reflecting cancellation charges for domestic flight rs. 2250/ wef 01/4/2016.

                        Cancellation charges charged from me is cheating and fraud and deficiency of services. Since no wherein my ticket which was issued on 01/08/2016 is written that indigo will charge rs. 2766/ on cancellation of ticket.

                        I am suffering from mental agony and torchered by the indigo services.

                        Please redress my grievances and penalise the indigo as per the regulation to the ten times cancellation charges as penalty and order to pay me the same compensation.

                            Please your pnr ud4whd, 4 tickets, from bengaluru to chennai. 6e 233, 0620 flt. After much difficulty we, reached the gate, the blue bus was waiting, the gate keeper was ready to let us in, but the lady at the counter refused to let us go and hasttily ordered the bus to go, took our 4 boarding passes and cancelled and said the gates are closed and that we should go by 09.35. Am flt.
                            Kindly probe into this inconvenience metted out to us.
                            Sir, for your kind information, at the security check, there was hectic rush and when we requested to give us way, the kail officials said chennai flt has still time. Then they called chennai passengers, when many non-chennai passengers intruded before us.
                            I am sure a difference of a few minutes would not have made big difference in the flt, that too when our boarding passes were issued. I do honour punctuality, but in this case we were put to hardship at the security check and to top it all, the final desk lady official (With due respect to her), was certainly adament. I being a senior citizen, was put to much hardship, and dissappointment.
                            We were not given seats in 09.35 flt. We were given 12.50 flt. We were hard pressed to reach chennai.
                            May i request you to please examine and revert to me compensate, for the physical and mental agony caused to us and to me in particular.
                            I do believe your great organisation, does care for passengers like us, who opt for your services, when there are other
                            Airliners around.

                              Mumbai - Bhubaneshwar

                              Pnr- MG25XX
                              Name- 1.Mr. Hitendra Joshi
                              2. Ms. Khushali Modi

                              Initial gate- A6

                              There was a last minute gate change of the above departure from A6 to A8.
                              But there was no announcement made regarding the same.

                              Myself D - 15mins went to Gate A6 and the staff diverted us to Gate A8.

                              Staff Mr. Pranay was boarding the flight.
                              Myself asked him regarding no gate change informed to the guest.

                              Myself being a frequent flyer of this airline was told that im drunk and staff Mr. Pranay didn't let me board the aircraft.

                              Even the Pilot in charge didn't allow me to board the aircraft stating that im drunk.

                              I had some urgent work to be done in BBI and had to stay back due to ur staff error.

                              You are requested to kindly look into this matter with the CCTV footage as to if the guest had done any nui
                              sance as to why was he offloaded?

                              Kindly look into the same and revert back asap before i end up taking this matter to the court.

                                During traveling from Hyderabad to Raipur on 18/08/2016 flight no 6E466 and PNR no BEH87H
                                A person named Vikas Kumar sitting beside my son harassed him in such a way that he is unable to talk and crying continuous. And he misbehaved with other passengers and air hostess too.
                                Before landing Raipur complaint has been wirelesed to airport authority. When authority person came to take him he refused to go and used vulgar words publicly.what action taken from ur side????

                                  On 15th aug 2016, i was traveling from del to hyd on 6e-841 (Dep 0850 hrs). I checked in at 0500 hrs at delhi airport. My pnr - acj5uq. Upon arrival i had stuffs worth inr 20, 000 missing from my bag (Blue trekking bag). I realized my stuffs are missing only after i reached home since there was no external damage on my bag. Theft is a serious crime and by the looks of it, if anybody can remove items from my bag so neatly, they can easily put things inside without my knowledge. This is a serious lapse of security issue. When i complained to indigo customer service, they informed me that they have issued a complaint and didnot give me any complaint number when i asked, insisting that they will look it and call me back within 4-8 hours. After 24 hours, upon receiving no feedback, i called them up again and this time they were asking me a complaint number. When i further enquired to various pr teams, they are citing rule book clauses stating that they wont be able to help either since i had not lodged any complaint at the arrival hall. As per iata regulation, airlines are liable for any pilferage case registered within 6 days of arrival. I would request you to kindly check the cctv cameras at del and hyd bma/bba. I would request you to look into the matter with bit seriousness since this is not a matter of inr 100-500 but inr 20, 000. I am contemplating legal issue if i dont get any better response as every second matters in the matter of theft.

                                    It was shocking to see at delhi that out of 50 check in counter only 5 counter is working for normal check in and rest is bag drop this totally unexpected. You must understand that india is a country of kisan and we all in trouble with your hi technology system. First we have to take self service boarding card and again stand in que for bag drop. Fully nonsense idea...

                                      Sir/ madam, it is harsh & terrified issue i would like to bring in your notice. respected, yesterday on 16/08/2016 indigo flight 6e-579 from varanasi to mumbai (e-ticket no. wcy5qg & nevl5x) observed very few passengers due to heavy traffic created by some government activity in vicinity of varanasi airport (in figures 48 passengers were not able to catch the flight). sir i had booked 4 tickets with my family. respected because of this i had to come across heavy losses, because due to that booked the next day's ticket as it was urgency for us. sir we are not even in good financial condition. so sir i request you to refund our amount as soon as possible. thanking you. sir kindly give me further feedbacks on my no.                                         I along with my wife and kid (Infant aged 1.1 yrs) were supposed to take a flight from del-vtz (Delhi-visakhapatnam) on indigo flight no.6e 305 to visakhapatnam on 06-aug-2016 at 12:35 pm (Booking reference no. Wbc27g). As per the time schedule we reached check-in counter at 11.40 am. The booking staff present at the counter took more than 15 minutes to check and said that "booking for the flight is full" and denied me boarding pass at around 11.55 pm saying that i need to reschedule my flight as there is no vacancy and its past scheduled boarding time. Added to that i was forced to reschedule my flight for next day i. E on 07-aug-2015 at an additional cost of rs 11, 286/- (Receipt attached) on indigo flight no 6e 239.

                                        Its due to gross negligence of the indigo airline staff and the unethical predatory practices like overbooking that i had to lose my money. I request the authorities concerned to look at the issue seriously and refund the money paid in due course for rescheduling at the earliest.
