I purchased a karbonn blaze kc540 dual sim (Gsm+cdma) mobile, imei no. [protected], vide invoice no. Del/072014/7897 dt. July, 2014 from homeshop18. On receiving the phone i found the charger not working & the cdma sim mostly not working, showing a message failed to register even in areas where network was full, whereas the same sim was working fine on my old micromax mobile.
I visited karbonn service centre ‘mobicare ‘at kolkata with the set & the invoice, but was refused service & asked to come with the packing box of the mobile. The next day i had to go out of station so i requested to rectify the same day but was told that without the original packing box, it was not possible, so i had to return & depend on my old phone.
On my return after months i went to the service centre & got the charger replaced & they rectified the fault. But after 2-3 days while on tour the same problem & sound problem started. My work involves extensive travelling & my howrah stay is very less, so on my return after a month i went again to the service centre & the fault was temporarily rectified, as after a couple of days the same problem started.
In short even after 3 attempts by the service centre the fault was not rectified & since purchase of the set i could not use this set & till date is dependent on my old micromax mobile.
On my last visit to the service centre on 27/04/2015, with the same problem, they kept the mobile & told me to come after 5-6 days. I went there after a fortnight & was told that it will take more time & i will be informed on phone. After two weeks when i didn’t got any call from them then i went to the service centre & they informed me that the handset is being sent to the company (Karbonn), & it will take another 15-20 days. I was annoyed by the delay & on questioning ‘mobicare ‘got a terse replies that i take my mobile back.
I kept on calling ‘mobicare‘ in between & finally when i visited service centre last week of june, 2015, i was told that my mobile has come back from company (Karbonn), but the problem has not been solved & it will take another 10 days.
The above facts clearly show that either this model is faulty or this handset is having a manufacturing defect from day 1. I visited service centre 5-6 times during this period of time and the phone is lying in service centre since 27/04/2015, & the time it was with me it was faulty & very rarely used.
Thereafter i had started contacting karbonn consumer care ([protected]@karbonnmobiles.com) thru mails & phones since 9/7/2015 regularly till 8/04/2016. A fortnight ago i went to service centre on their request & was offered another refurbished set which i refused & informed them thru mail but got no proper resolution from their end.
Sir, now i have exhausted all my patience that too with valid reasons, so i am not going to take my phone back. There are lot more facts i can tell, but my letter is already a bit lengthy & i hope from above facts you can yourself realize the unsaid portion.
