I had bought a Karbonn ST-10 tablet in Jan ’13. Within 4 months of purchase it began to have display issues. Wen I first took it to a karbonn authorized service center back in June, they said the display was spoilt and needed replacement, which would be done in couple of days once they receive spare display. For the next 3 months they promised me every single day that it would me done by the next day – false promises. After helplessly requesting, arguing, asserting for swifter resolution, towards august end i was promised a device replacement due to unavailability of spares. Further 2 months on, i’m still awaiting resolution.
During these last 4 n half months, I’ve made a million calls and dozen trips to service center (on couple of occasions they acted hooliganistic, and even got physical, pushing and threatening my friend and me, on my last visit. Service center name: Telelogic communications, at jalahalli cross); another hundred calls and emails to karbonn customer support which eventually got escalated to a person named Jeevithan who mentioned he was the head of karbonn operations for South India, who apologized and assured the entire device replacement within 2 days (since my device was lying at the service center for beyond 2 months); registered complaint with CFBP (Council for Fair Business Practices) as well as Akosha.
All time, effort, and pain in vain. Now my device warranty is almost coming to an end. While I’ve considered buying a new tablet and suing them for compensation, i’m skeptical about how soon that will end. I neither have time nor money for lengthy court cases. More importantly, i’d bought it for mum who’s restricted to a bed due to multiple ailments and hence have been fighting for early resolution for this long, not having known it would d go on till now.
As my last resort I will now propagate this issue across every possible media/ forum/ platform / community until I get the required attention and resolution that’s been long overdue. Simultaneously, I intend to initiate court proceedings against Karbonn.
Now I wont rest until this is categorically settled, especially with my mother’s sentiment involved.
Request u to help solve this matter and take action against Karbonn so that no one else has to go thru such trouble.
