Unauthorized Transaction for Rs. 135000 made in my account without my consent.
An amount of Rs. 13500 on 17th December was unethical debited from my saving account without any authorization or consent from my side. This issue was already raised to Customer care of Kotak Mahindra bank, who were not able to provide proper explanation for the same.
First Complaint was made to customer care centre on 19th December 2016 where Kotak Mahindra Bank customer Executive Mr Prakash informed me that due technical glitch from Kotak Mahindra Bank, the transactions are getting double deducted and concern team is working on it and the Amount will be credited back by next day evening.
Until 22nd December the Unauthorized Transaction did not got credited in my account, Hence I called up the Kotak Mahindra Bank Customer care second time, This time they had all new different story blaming the vendor on who’s POS Machine I have made the transaction of Rs. 13500 on 9th December have claimed the amount back with the bank, I had only one question for him, Can a Bank like Kotak Mahindra Bank debit my account with any particular amount with any claimant without my consent or authorization? Without answering my question the executive was reluctant that I should approach the vendor to resolve my issue.
This not the first time I am facing such type of issue from Kotak Mahindra Bank in past also such unethical acts also were my current account was debited with authorization and after long fight I got refund after 45 Days.
When it come to responsible banking, the banks do not care. All it care is about the sales, when you need to open an account or Insurance the bank has fast moving sales teams who will be in strong follow up with you. He will come to 10 times if needed just to open one account. All you need to do is just pass the lead to bank that I need to open an account or I need insurance, then just sit back and relax, the bank will do whatever it can just to complete their targets, But When it come to service or complaint resolution it becomes most bureaucratic system they throw to one table to another, one department to other.
I feel extremely harassed by Kotak Mahindra Bank. I would urge to solve the issue on urgent basis and I am also filing complaint against Kotak Mahindra Bank in banking ombudsman RBI.
