Hi,
Like many users in this forum I also was a customer with ING Vysya bank from past 5 years but since the Merger with Kotak mahindra bank it has been a very pathetic experience dealing with their all represntatives ie. customer care and even Branch officials provide false/misleading information and promises.

In my savings account i got a debit of about nearly 4-5k Rs in the name of their so called NMC charges of average balance about which they never tried to intimate customer.

When i raised an complaint that Complaint Number- 1-[protected] raised on 05/12/2016.
They closed this complaint twice without any resolution or intimation to customer which sounds completely unacceptable .
The refund of charges that was promised by all their representatives turns out to be a big fat lie.
I Think i'm not the only customer suffering from these charges there seem to be many more since Kotak has taken over ING vysya.

I expect all the charges to be refunded.

    Credit card was issued to me in Aug. 2016 though I did not need it all. At the time of issuance it was told that no charges whatsoever will be levied either first time or afterwards. However to my utmost surprise I found that Rs. 1516 has been debited to my account at the time of issue and after that Rs. 160.79 is being charged every month.
    I want that the company should keep it words, reverse the amount charged till now immediately.
    Kotak Mahindra Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
    Please change my address in bank transaction, other correspondence are coming to this address, where as updated new credit card was sent to earlier address. so pls do change immediately in records.

      Dear sir,

      I am, amitabh basu of delhi having current account no. [protected] with ghazipur, delhi - 110096 in the name of a. B. Services and the account is operated by me only.

      I happened to use my debit card no. [protected] at kotak mahindra bank atm (Location at 2 x rd, gandhinagar, majestic, bangalore) on 28th jan 2017 at 22. O4 hrs to withdraw rs. 4000/- from my above account.

      My transaction not matured and received printed slip
      (Record no. 132695) from kotak mahindra aqtm with comments as "system error, please contact bank".

      However, immediately i received an sms alert on my mobile [protected] from pnb at 10:04:54 on 28.01.2017 that a/c xxxxxxxx00002114 has been debited with rs. 4020 on[protected]:10:41 thru atm / upi (Without indicating any balance amount figure). Helpline [protected] from am-pnbsms.

      To cross check my account balance, immediately i used my same debit card at same atm & received same message as "system error, please contact bank" (As per record no. 132696)

      Then, i had gone to another sbi atm nearby (Location sudarshan lodge - at gandhinagar, majestic, bangalore) and tried for account balance. The slip bearing txn. No. 7501, reference no.[protected] on 01/28/17 time 22:10 term : s1nz[protected] confirms[protected] eft / cash - wdl / d 4020 as debited / withdrawn with available balance figure.

      Then i withdrew rs. 4500/- and balance appeared on screen with deduction of both (Rs. 4020 + rs. 4520) amount.

      Then and then, i contacted pnb customer care no.[protected] and had spoken to your executive named mr. Ashraf (???). After listening my entire case, he advised me to contact customer care after 4.00 am on 29th jan 2017.

      Once again, i contacted pnb customer care on 29th jan 2017 around 8.45 hrs and had spoken to ms. Manshi (???) who had given me a complained no. As heb015981.

      She assured me that case will be dissolved maxm. Within 7 working days. However, same will be communicated to you by a sms within 3 days time.

      Subsequently, i received a sms message stating that - "dear customer, complaint registered successfully with sr. No. A[protected] for amount of rs. 4020.00. Quote sr. No. For future reference" - from am - pnbsms at 08:34:58 am on 29.01.2017.

      Subsequently, from 1st feb 2017 on wards, i contacted pnb customer care almost everyday but sorry to bring to your kind notice that my case is still open / unsolved.

      As i am a sr. Citizen and quite worried for my money back to my account immediately with a sms message.

      I contacted my original bank - pnb gazipur branch on return to delhi on 4th feb 2017 but they expressed their helplessness in this regard and asked me to contact only pnb customer care.

        I have been holding Urbane Gold Card from Past 4 years and have always paid on time.
        As per RBI Notification of Nov 21st 2016, all EMIs falling between Nov 1 and Dec 31st are
        deferred by 30 days due to demonetization. I was getting the PLCC EMI removed from my
        statement of Dec2016, that's why the payment was delayed this time.

        An illiterate person named Prem called me from [protected] and threatened me many times
        on the phone call. I informed him that I am an existing customer and this should just be
        a reminder call not recovery call. He threatened me and used bad language.
        (1) He said he's from Kotak Bank Credit Card deptt. when he was clearly from a collection
        agency impersonating as Kotak Bank Official.
        (2) He said several bad things including "tujhe gaali dekar baat karunga aur tu kehkar",
        "Tere ko pata chal jayega 15 January ko", "bill dede warna 10-15 call ayengi roz", "main
        tujhe bata dunga bill dede aur bank se kehde ki tera naam list se nikal de".
        (3) I asked him to tell the name of collection agency, he refused to tell.

        This language is unacceptable as per the Fair Practices code for Agents, plus he shouldn't impersonate as Kotak's Employee.

        Please take action against him and SEND ACTION TAKEN report. Take action such as force the collection agency to terminate the employee and/or put a fine on the collection agency. Have you even seen someone using abusive/threatening language on a reminder call?

          On 20th July, 2016, I had requested for the closure of my account in Gurgaon, as I was no longer using it. This request was made to Mr. Sonal Tyagi at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Branch Kalkaji, New Delhi. On August 3, I received large credits in my account Gurgaon Account.

          On inquiry, Mr. Tyagi informed me that my fixed deposits linked to a separate Kotak account in Allahabad were prematurely liquidated.

          Mr. Tyagi informed me that this was a mistake at their end and will be fixed soon. I was connected to the Branch Manager, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Kalkaji, New Delhi, Mr. Shibu. Mr. Shibu informed me that it was not possible to reinstate my FDs at the older rates. He informed me that my FDs will be reinstated at the current rate (7.25%) from 3rd August and the difference amount (between 7.25% and 9.25%) will be reimbursed to my account on the maturity. On my subsequent inquiries, I was informed that this was pending permission from higher authorities.

          On my recent visit Mr. Shibu now tells me that this is not possible as he has been unable to get the clearance from higher authorities. He has since stopped taking my calls or replying to my emails.

          I have also sent emails to grievance readdressal on Kotak's website, where I receive nothing other than the automated acknowledgements of getting back within 5 days. Kotak Service Request No - 1-[protected]

          I request the bank to reinstate my fixed deposits or reimburse me for the damage.

            I applied for a new saving bank account, on 3.1.17 the bank officials take all the necessary documents & told that the account will be open in 3 days and I will get the kit (ATM card, net banking) within one week. But after one month today the account opening is still pending, the bank officials say that it will be processed on tomorrow but nothing is done. Most of the times they don't pick the phone also. Today I got a banking kit through courier, but it was of no use, wrong address & wrong mob no registered with my account. It was a bull ####. I tried to correct the registered mob no but no one is there to listen me. All other banks open the account in few minutes but this bank takes months to open. I also complained on Kotak Mahindra website but no response came. It is completely a low quality service and no value of customer. I don't recommend this bank to anyone.

              MY CARD NO IS [protected] and my name is Dhaval Thakkar.
              My last credit card staement was around 90, 000 and i had made payment of 70, 000 and forgot to make payment of remaining 20, 000.

              Now interest charged by you is around 4000 Rs which is for the full amount and for the whole month till 26th jan and it is still counting till then.

              My request is to please give me reversal for the same as i am a regular customer and also have done timely payments previously.
              you can see that by my kotak bank accounts and transactions with kotak bank.

              Please do me a favour by reversing these interest charges which are very high.I assure you to do timely payments in future without any delay.

                I have an account in Kotak Mahindra bank since July 2015, this is the first time I am having a hurdle. on 20/12/2016 i purchased an turbo oil worth Rs.399/- (PCD/[protected]/SHELL ARCHIT ENTERPRISE/ES MAIN ROAD[protected]. 00 ) and I was swiped for 399 .                 I opened ZERO balance salary account on 24/8/2016 . There was zero balance in my account in October and November . In December i made few in and out transactions . In January i deposited 5000 and I later noticed when there was an emergency I had to draw 5000 and found that two times 977 was deducted from my balance of 5000 without any intimation of low balance charges, I didnt receive any call/sms neither from customer care. This is absolutely ridiculous .How can they deduct our earned money from a ZERO balance account . My money needed to be credited at any cost . Today(30/8/17) i tried add a new beneficary account to tranfer money, it came as "Unable to process due to technical issues". i'm trying to transfer my money to other account which is already added in my beneficary list, It is again giving the sane error message as "Unable to process due to Technical Issue" . Such a ridiculous net banking site and I had the worst experience . How can they rob customers money . I am going to close my account .I suggest others not to open account in Kotak bank and i will make my freinds to close their account.

                  I have demanded cheque book since 24th nov 2016 through online request. Have also received a confirmatory msg regarding the same and have also submitted the written application in january requesting the cheque book. But still not received .now im badly in need of it. Kindly lemme know when will i receive it.its really sad that the customer has to suffer like this. I have never seen such lethargic methodology. I m not able to widdraw money frm my account since till 3 months im requesting a cheque book and has not yet received. Ur customercare numbers are also of no use. They dont provide any reqd information.

                      Without resolving the complain regarding online saving account opening they marked as resolved.

                      Awesome service

                      For last 35 days Kotak bank had taken my ₹5000/- through misleading advertisement of" instant account opening" neither they are opening my account nor they are communicating me the reason for not doing the same.
                      1. I had visited to branch of Kotak in Yamuna Vihar Delhi, Manager told he can't do anything as its online account and got irritated when asked contact no. Of concerned dealing person. Getting harassment by visiting branch.
                      2.On official customer care no. [protected] IVR system ask to enter your ATM or Account No. but until account not open how any one can enter these details.I had wasted approx ₹100 calling customer care.
                      3. I had written several times to offical customer care Email of Kotak they replied only once by saying that please call to our customers care no. [protected]. For next level grievance redressal require SRN no. But nothing has been allotted.
                      4. I had complained to consumercomplaints.in forum they marked complain resolved by sending me an email quoting "!
                      Pls give me some time while I take a closer look & get this issue sorted out!

                            Complaint regarding ECS return penalty charge.
                            On 2nd of january i called kotak contact center and told them my salary is not yet credited please stop or delay the ECS from bajaj finance. Agent denied and said cannot do that and asked for the details on the same information and also did not inform me about the penalties. Today on 26th January i have been charged penalties for two ECS. Today I again contacted Contact center asking for the same information:
                            1. Your Agent Shivraj was very rude to me
                            2. Same agent informed me that ECS canbe stopped on request basis at the contact center itself then why was it not done on 2nd of January when i called you?
                            3. When i called Kotak again immediately after my call was disconnected, same person answered the call and when i asked him the name of the last agent he denied to give me that. He was unnecessarily wasting more of my time and was giving stupid reasons. On the same call i Asked for the supervisor to whom he did not transfer my call as well stating all are busy.
                            My only request to you is to reverse my ECS penalties back to my Account as it was not my mistake. If your contact center would have guided me properly then i would have done something to get the amount from somewhere in time into the account but it was not done so.

                              Dear Kotak Bank,

                              Thank you so much for the pathetic service . I am having my credit card account with this bank from last 3.5 Years and making all the payment on time against the transaction which is done by me . Amount of 5, 642.70 was done 4 times at the same duration of time on 14th Nov (total amount is 22, 570.8). I spoke over the phone with the bank executive and have sent multiple email on "service.[protected]@kotak.com" and raised the concern about the fraud transaction which is done from my account and secondly bank never send it any bank alert or any OTP against the transaction done through my credit card. I am really upset with the bank as they do not care their customer and do not have the minimum curtsy to arrange call or provide any resolution against the same . However, they are charging me late fee and interest every month without providing me any resolution for the same and also their collection department is calling and bothering me entire day to make the payment. Why should I make minimum payment when transaction is not done be me? Secondly, bank do not have the answer for not sending me bank alert or OTP when this transaction was done? I would be grateful if someone can provide me feedback on same and help me to get out of this issue and help me to close this case asap.

                                  I had opened online saving account with Kotak on dated 23.12.2016. They had mention account will be open immediately but till now account has not been opened.
                                  I have tried several times to contact customer care no. but never connected. I have also written to customer but did not received any response. Today I visited to branch, Manager replied he can't help as account has been opened online.

                                      I have applied for a new ace savings account from Kotak Mahindra Bank online, vide application tracking no: ra01992182. Got confirmation mail on same day 6th JAN, 2017 that my savings account opening application has been successfully processed. Bank representative will get in touch with me within 48 working hours to complete the account opening formalities at my correspondence address.

                                      I am still waiting for the bank representative call even after 15 days though it was supposed to be completed within 48 hours. I have sent multiple mails to escalation levels published at Kotak portal without any response.

                                      I am afraid of the way Kotak Mahindra Bank treats new customers and kind of service expected in future.
