Hi,

I have to write this because of my unpleasent experience with Kotak Mahindra Bank.

My husband holds a saving account with this bank for more than 8 years and his experience with the bank is very good. Just as per his referral, I opened a Silk saving account with Manikbaug, sinhgad road, Pune branch.

While opening the account, I precisely told the gentleman that I want to avail the Active Money facility and he told it will be made available. However, when I checked on logging in to my account, it was not activated. I visited the branch and even I gave the written application to activate this feature but nothing happened. So at last I called customer care and requested to activate the same. And finally its done now.. thanks.

Secondly, I am still awaiting for my Debit card. I am constantly making follow up with the branch but No fruitful feedback is received, not a single time. Only I called the branch but never received a callback regarding the status. This was really frustrating.. I know you guys are busy nowadays making common man's life easy who are really suffering from Demonetisation effect and I really appreciate that but my follow up with the bank is even far before than this. So expecting a simple feedback call on the status is not a big thing I am expecting from the branch. Even I raised this issue through email & raising a request 1-[protected] but still no response received.

Third, I requested a Locker in the branch but they asked me to do the investment to avail it, apart from the deposit (Rs.15000) against it. I was ok to make a deposit but not for any kind of investment in any traditional products which they have suggested me. As per my knowledge, this is not mandatory but still they asked me to do some kind of investment for the locker. I was ok to start a SIP of a Kotak mutual fund but its not acceptable for them. I guess all in all I am investing in a Kotak product whether its been MF or their suggested product, whats the problem? Need to sort this out too.

None of the above cases gave me any kind of satisfaction for opening a account with Kotak bank.

So, I need the solid status on my debit card.. No vague statements please. And confirmation on the Locker issue.

I hope I have written much to make you understand what I faced and hopefully these things will get sorted out on Priority.

    I am an account holder in kotak mahindra bank in malout (punjab) branch.today i going in your ajimgarh branchfor diposit and withdrawl both purpose but the time of withdral the branch manager asking for wait some time. he says i willgive service our branch custumer i have continusly wait more than 1 hour but he was not given any response and other costumer
    attend on priorty. in this period i was seen many mishapning in your branch staaf girish bathla collect the cheqe and going cash counter for withdrawl and same the provide siting custumers.i was asking please give the cash i have urgent needs of money but this person rudly behave with meand also push outside of branch and u were see all the footagein your branch camera with timing 2pm to 3 pm 21 november i was really hurted because i have good reputation in markit and local society please look the matter seriously and i hope in future no any circumtances.

    I have had a very bad experience at the ATM Kotak Mahindra bank yesterday from the guard, the misbehavior was unacceptable though I don't want any employee to loos his bread and butter but I still wanted to highlight the same so that it doesn't happen with any body else.

    I don't remember the complete name of the guard but his surname is Pathak, he was talking loudly on the phone and I got a call at the same time so I requested him to be little polite on which he demanded me to go out since I was on an important call I went out but once I came back and asked him to be polite he started shouting I repeatedly told him that I will complaint and kept saying do what you can I will talk like this only.

    I am myself a professional with experience of more than 10 years and have had some great experiences in the banking world but could have never expected such behavior coming from an ATM sentinel.
    This has happened between 4-5 pm on the 15th april 2018 ATM Kotak (SDA market) the one in front of IIT where there were two guards one a decent fellow and the other one displaying extreme misbehavior, I personally know few senior people in Kotak but I don't any one to loose there bread and butter having said that I would want it to be taken up with this guard not misbehave in such a manner with any customer in future. I have mentioned the time and date above you can also look into the cctv for this.

    Also mentioning again there were two guards one being a decent one the other probably someone with a violent background.

    I leave it upto the sound judgement of the complaint forum to consider this as a serious issue or not.

      My wife used the Kotak Debit card in Mumbai at Merchant RituKumar for a bill of IR 36990. On first attempt the card was declined and the transaction was completed on the second attempt. We noticed on the same day on the bank account statement that the money was paid twice. We approached the merchant for refund and they showed us and gave us the copy of the declined receipt as well as their day end report. They confirmed they have received the money once. Kotak was approached via e mail (Bank reference 1-[protected]) for the rectification of their mistake which they have declined claiming that they had paid the money twice to the merchant. The merchant again informed that they have receive the money once and are ready to prove this to any authority by presenting their bank statement.( their e mail address is [protected]@ritukumar.com) The bank has debited me twice and the merchant has received the money once, which has left me with IR39990 short in my account. In any case the bank should not have paid out on a declined transaction and if they have they should not debit my account for their mistake. As I do not reside in India it is difficult to solve this matter. Please assist me to get my money back from the bank.

        I am getting very abusive calls by the name priyanka +91 [protected] & other number is [protected] related to my credit card. He came to my place and harrased my mother. (Ki mein apka carrer berbad ker dogi, tum jaanti nhi ho mere ko, all this thing) and he even called the police at my place and forcing me to settle card at 30k. I want kotak to take strict action against him and more over i am filing a legal action.

        Please terminate this employe priyanka

          I had salary a/c in ing vysa bank but kotak take over ing vys so my salary a/c transferred to kotak, after some time they started charging for not maintaining balances in a/c so i don't keep balance in kotak a/c and i have a credit card of kotak .
          0n 2nd oct. payment a/c was due and there was no balance, so they charged 500 + 75 fine auto debit failure, i complaint about it to credit card executive they said second time will not happen.
          in nov. againt on due date they fined 500+ 75 fine and i paid them by webpay, i got msg on 3rd for successful payment but againt on 5 nov. there was fine of 500+ 75 late payment.
          I have done major transaction from credit card on EMI OPTION but on 15th nov there was Intt. charged of 5 times total is around rs.500.
          I complained about this, i haven't got any response from bank side.
          But credit card side they are calling me again and again for payment.
          I have complained about this there is no response from bank side and my liability is increasing by day by day.
          i said i am paying my amount on time but what is actual liability, i will pay only that much becoz bank is over charging and i have complained about this, they are not responding and that is bank side problem, they are forcing me for full payment.

          After paying the amount i was still getting call from customer care side for payment, they didn't know wheather i made made payment of not, give me reference no., i have complained this this also and about overcharging in credit card side, one executive said i will forward the complained to head office and u will receive compliant no, which haven't received and i also complained about this by filling complaint form on the msg no one is responding to it, but i am receiving call for payment and person are coming to my home for collection.
          One person also came for collection on 18 or 19 nov. becoz i have not made payment off 800, i also told him the issue, he said ok i wil tell to my senior and u will get tollfree no or some senior will call you.
          But no one is responding or calling me from bank side expect credit card side.
          [protected] I am going to bank kar kar dooma branch 8am I ma in the line till 16:30 pm they didn't receive my deposit they said you have to go home branch it's to long go to okhla the branch manager Mr Rakesh he is using abusing language with customer and staff also it's 2 time bad experience with me same brancha

          I m talking about Vasant Kunj branch. These people are not giving service to middle class people, and have special entrance for higher class people. There was long queue of Aam janta. But they said we have problem in our system and then provide service to vip . Shut down this bank...frauders!!! Scammers!!!

            I wanted to close my Kotak Mahindra bank account for past 3 months.
            For which, I have written them several emails indicating the same but I did not receive any reply.

            Now I got the message that my account balance is negative because I have not used my account. I would like to file a complaint against Kotak Mahindra bank for negligence and charging me for the services that I already informed I don't need.

                Rude lady service manager. We hold a company account with Kotak Bank Nariman Point Mumbai. Since our store is located at Goa Panjim we deposit our store sales at the Kotak MG road Goa Branch. From the day the old notes have been discontinued every bank has put up notices with the regulations/ T&C's for their customers to be updated with the current procedures so that their customers don't suffer but unfortunately the motto of Kotak bank is to ensure that every customer is harrassed to the core they have not even spared senior citizens. Shame on this bank branch. Spoiling the name of the Kotak Brand.

                To start with my horrorful experience as usual i went to deposit the store sales & we are accepting 500 & 1000 notes from our guests as modi said that it can be deposited till 30th Dec'2016. I understand that every bank would want to ensure safety of their customer accounts but that does not mean you insult the person at the other end just because he/ she is employee working for the store whose sales he/she comes to deposit on the instructions of the company CEO.

                Upon reaching at the cash counter the counter staff tells me i will have to get an authority letter from the CEO to deposit the old notes in company account. Fair enough your bank your rules but where the hell is the notice for the same. Your notice board has numerous notices but why did you not put this notice in bold so that your customers don't face inconvenience. I informed the Counter staff that its not mentioned anywhere & secondly the CEO is out of country. But the staff was rude & ensured that i left unhappy.

                2nd experience today(18.11.2016) i went to exchange old notes since we needed change at the store. Again i was harrassed by their grumpy lady service manager. I guess she makes up her mind from home that she will ensure every customer leaves unhappy from her branch, thats her motto in life. I carried my original id proof & i was not given the rightful exchange of money as a common man im entitled to. She & her other 2 men staff ensured they insulted me in front of the whole bank staff even wen i was polite & asking them that where is it mentioned to get a xerox also. I told them will get it today in some time as i have to open the store & we have a company account & i always come here. That bl**dy grumpy women insulted me saying that you dont ahve an account your company has don't teach me how to do our job. Go to other bank & get your work done. Who the Heck is she to talk to anyone like this. Just coz she is working for the Kotak does not mean she will insult anyone. And then another lady staff joins her and says that leave it don't talk to such people. What do you mean by such people? Just coz im an employee of a company your staff thinks that he/she might be a lower staff so they can insult. Im glad i don't have an account with you guys, i was infact planing to open one but you guys need to learn etiquttes & customer services from banks like SBI, CBI, Saraswat & HDFC. Though the women working at these bank of SBI & CBI are old but they have a quality know as customer service & humanity.

                Your grumpy manager harrassed a senior citizen man yesterday he was very unhappy & left the bank in silence.

                This is what Kotak believes in " we will ensure that you have a unhappy experience with us"

                  I am getting very abusive calls by the name Amit yadav +[protected] related to my credit card. He came to my place and harrased my father and he even called the police at my place and forcing me to settle card at 30k . By all this happened father got heart attack in evening and your agent came in the afternoon. My father is in hospital and cant even talk just because this amit yadav. I want kotak to take strict action against him and more over i am filing a legal action as father got in this situation. And moreover he forced me to pay 2000rs online and took 2000 cash as well and now not even responding to any call.
                  I'll definately make sure i'll file legal action to this person and to kotak as well if anything wrong happens to my father.

                    my CRN is 80685339.As per your instructions, I have send a mail to salaryhelpdesk.[protected]@kotak.com with the brief description about my balance deduction issue then mr.kejal jain -Service Manager mailed me with a Account closure form and told me to submit it to the nearest branch, my nearest branch is Chennai velachery so I went there for from submission, but the Wealth assistnace person in that branch doesn't accept my form then she told the same story as negative balance because of non maintenance charge I clear told everything about this uniformed charge(-3959) to the salaryhelpdesk.[protected]@kotak.com after that only the service manager told me to submit a form but in my nearest they never accept the form, and I have informe the same to the salaryhelpdesk.[protected]@kotak.com . what should I do now?, i have done everything properly in my side as citizen .but your bank simply frustrating people by like unwanted travel.

                      I am really disappointed by the services offered by the employee of kotak mahindra bank kankurgachi branch. I am staying in delhi and i am in real need of money, my mom who is 65 years old went to the kankurgachi branch with all my kyc documnets and all possible letters that is required to deposit money, still the bank employee refused to take the money as i was not present in the bank. How is it possible on earth for me to go to the bank in kolkata to deposit money on my account and the amount was only 4000rs.

                      I even signed and wrote an authorization letter and scanned it to my mom so that she do not have to face any difficulties. Your bank and employees of your bank harassed a senior citizen and forced her to leave the bank as i was not present.

                      Are we heading for a betterment for our country? Is it the way?

                      This is just an email rather a complaint but trust me i will take you guys real far for this issue unless its not been resolved from your end.

                          Last month because of some issue in network while paying restaurant bill money got deducted 4 times. I asked manager to give the transaction slip they told we are not able to get the failure but is network issue u will get ur money within 24 hours. I logged complain to the kotak customer care they told it will take 30 days if merchant is not claiming amount will be credited to ur account.. Today is 31st day i call them again they are telling it will take few more day not sure why this is huge process really it was lil huge amt and in this fast and furious world really waiting for 30 days it too much.. Please help me...

                            Holding a loan against property - ilap14049. Went to somajiguda, hyderabad branch in person and raised a foreclosure request sr#:1-[protected] on oct 29, 2016. They initially sent me someone else's foreclosure statement, corrected it later, but found that they are charging penalty fees which is incorrect. I went again and confirmed with the executive that penalty charges are indeed incorrect. Here starts the cunningness of the bank and their executives, he said you can pay the rest of the amount deducting the wrong penalty charges but i cannot accept a cheque from you since you emi date is nearby (Which was on nov 8th). This is wrong. After that he dint sent me the corrected foreclosure statement. I waited till nov 8th, 2016, but dint received any sms notification of emi deduction which i generally get every time. I had to call them on 10th nov and get confirmation that the emi deduction indeed happened on 8th nov. I called their customer care on nov 10 and they said they will arrange a callback from relationship manager next day since customer care executives don't have access to outstanding balance details. I dint received any call. I called them again and its no use. I was also having conversation over emails. Nearly 5 people replied to my emails but none of them cared to read my query and answer it properly. And they also closed the service request. But i still replied on the same thread and latest reply from them is, "we will revert back to you in 10 working days", this is for letting me know the outstanding balance. The calculation for my outstanding balance is so complex that they need 10 working days. And they say they assure to provide best service to their customers. I already have to pay the day interest from nov 8th to till date and they are asking me to wait for 10 more days. See how reckless they are.

                                I m jaydeep from vadodara and I have account with kotak bank today experience is very bad in kotak bank.

                                last some days there is some problem in withdrawal due to banned 500 and 1000 notes.today I go to kotak bank

                                and I want to withdrawal 10000 rs without ATM and Cheque banking person say me we can not pay you money.

                                they told me RBI policy without cheque book customer can not withdrawal money if manager want than he create withdrawal slip and given me cash but our relationship manager was given me wrong information. I have lots of proof kotak mahindra bank is given money without cheque and ATM but today manager nature speech very bad after some days I complain to RBI for it. Bank Relationship Manager name is Manish Khatri he is sitting at Vadodara Alkapuri Branch.

                                  I got a random call on last Saturday near 5o clock in the evening claiming call from Kotak bank, they said they randomly choose my number and now I am prime costumer and now I have to pay Rs8400 mandatory with my next credit card statement.
                                  Such a unprofessional behaviour from such a reputed bank is unbelievable for me, how could you charge me on your lucky draw contest without my permission. If you are giving me some watch and wallet and some discount card for that then that's your problem, I didn't ask for that and that's showing your unprofessional behaviour towards your good coustomers. If payment of 8400 is still important then I am just stopping your services with in this month otherwise I want your confirmation that I would not be charge for this prime costumer facility without my written permission because I don't want such facility from your bank. Thanks!

                                    Hi my name is wilson antony,

                                    I have opened my kotak salary savings account at 2014 november. My crn is 80685339. I have already send a lot of mail regarding closing my account because of a balance deductions for demat account. If have 10000 rupees simply your bank take 600 aprox as demat charge so i send a mail for closing my account but your representative told me to visit nearest branch for close the account. Now i am in chennai so i visit the velachery branch now they told some non maintenance charges applied to my account if i wnat to close. I have to pay that amount aprox 4000rs. See initially when i open my account from your side you told after 6 month it will automatically become as a zero balance account and they never told about this non maintenance charges. Hope you know the value of money. I am totally frustrated now. Please do the needful kindly close all my accounts in kotak.

                                    hi kotak team, As per your instructions, I have send a mail to [email protected] with the brief description about my balance deduction issue then mr.kejal jain -Service Manager mailed me with a Account closure form and told me to submit it to the nearest branch, my nearest branch is Chennai velachery so I went there for from submission, but the Wealth assistnace person in that branch doesn't accept my form then she told the same story as negative balance because of non maintenance charge I clear told everything about this uniformed charge(-3959) to the [email protected] after that only the service manager told me to submit a form but in my nearest they never accept the form, and I have informe the same to the [email protected] . what should I do now?, i have done everything properly in my side as citizen .but your bank simply frustrating people by like unwanted travel. please do the needful. thanks wilson

Dear people I strongly recommend u to not choose that ### kmb bank. U will suffer a lot. I like to save people not into that cheating kmb bank. I[censored] open account in that bank u waste ur money and that is sure. U don't even get a single paise. Many good banks are available in the country. Don't fell into the hell.

I have applied for kotak mahindra bank card and its not getting approved it's stuck on not approved.i have applied for the on 17th Oct 2016 on today's date is 10th November it has been almost a month I, ve told by one of your employer you are going to get your cc in 10 or 12 days and I have applied for cc from one of your employer her name is ravina I know the name only after applying I have received the reference/form no[protected] on 09th November 2016 before getting that reference/form no I have received call from I don't know who she was but she was saying that this is call regarding kotak credit card verification after the call it has been almost 9 or 10 days I don't know what's the process I called customer care they said my address and office verification is pending please send someone verify the home and office address please and tell me exact date when I am going to get the credit card I know you guys can do better then this I know you guyz believe in customer satisfaction

                                        I am having kotak mahindra bank credit card for the past 10 years.
                                        My crn no. : 23635143 due to security reason i am not giving my credit card number here. Yesterday some one used my card details for 129976.39 in the name of lbealing card pyment. I am actually my credit card has transaction password.. I never shared my card details to any one. Even my wife... Customer care person told that it was used with 16 digit card no. How it is possible.in online billing we must give card no, name of the card holder, expiry date, cvv number finally transaction password. Misusing my card is impossible.
                                        After speaking with customer care yesterday after this, they asked me present dispute form. I presented it. They told it takes 45 days for processing. This is not fair. Its an emergency case know... Now what i am worrying this month 20is billing if that misused amount reflected in my bill.. I couldnt pay..
                                        Kindly do the needful in favor of myself...

                                        Kotak Mahindra Bank given lot of Security like transaction passport when we swipe in machine when we purchase in shops... transaction password when we do in online purchase ...if its misused after this much of security this is not my mistake... their mistake to keep very less security...

                                        PYMNT on 09th November, 2016. However, the transaction is approved but yet not claimed by the merchant.

                                        We wish to inform you that the transaction is unsettled on your Kotak Credit Card.

                                        We further wish to inform you that merchant can claim the amount at any time. However, if the merchant does not settle the transaction within 15 days from the date of transaction then OTB ( Open to buy ) i.e. amount pertaining to that transaction will be released and would be reflect in your available credit limit.

                                        I never mind whether its settled by merchant or not.

                                        i will not pay that money. Because i didn't that transaction.

                                        Already i have filed a complaint against this dispute in consumer complaints.

                                        After sending dispute form ON 09/11/2016. They have billed for 136758.26. But Actually Someone swiped for 129976.39 . But I dont know why they billed for 136758.26. I will pay the bill what i used Rs.21559.
