This is benny stephan. I had received a credit card from kotak bank an year back and i had never used the credit card. I was planning to use the kotak credit card, however i was informed that the kotak credit card has been blocked. I was not given any information why the credit card has been blocked. Now i have put a request to cancel the kotak credit card as kotak bank has blocked the credit card without providing any explanation or acknowledgement.
This is the worst experience i had with kotak bank.
Kotak Mahindra Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Updated by Be Curious I have also requested for No due certificate from Kotak Bank. The representative has informed that the Kotak credit card will be cancelled within 7 working days and post which I will be receiving the No due certificate from Kotak Bank.

As discussed about my issue on consumer complaint, My Kotak credit card number is **** **** **** ****. Kotak Bank has blocked the credit card without providing any information and acknowledgement. I still wanted to keep a credit card from Kotak Bank but now I had to place a request to cancel the the Kotak credit card and also requested for a No due certificate as Kotak Bank has already blocked the credit without providing any explanation or acknowledgement. This is the worst experience with Kotak Bank.

Updated by Be Curious Kotak Bank had blocked the credit card and gave me no reason for blocking the card and then because they had blocked the card, I decided to cancel the credit card and now they have sent an email stating that I must pay the Outstanding bill of Rs. .00
The amount is not even clear and I shouldn't be paying anything because I have not used the card even once. They have also not provided the No due certificate. The funny part is they mention that if I want to activate the card then I can call the bank. I never wanted the card to be blocked by the bank which is the only reason for me to cancel this credit card.
