I am John Jinto dsouza, from Bangalore.

I just want to inform you about non compliant acts done by your so called collection agents. Asking for me to pay money and abusing everyone (Colleagues, office admins and my relatives) Especially females.

I am getting repeated calls from Citi Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank for payment of money, saying I took loan sometime back and didn't repay the same. Whereas I never took loan from both the Banks nor I ever had an account with both these Banks.

All these calls are made in odd hours and person is really abusive on phone.

Initially they asked me to pay 6, 500 Rupees for a week and on ignoring the same (as I knew it's a fraud) they started asking me to pay 30, 000 and now they are asking me to pay 1 lac Rupees and abusing me.

It has become mental harassment to me as they are making repeated calls not just to me but also to 20-30 of my colleagues at office abusing me.

I am going to launch official police complaint and take necessary legal action.

Request you to look into the matter and take appropriate action failing which I will be forced to mention the names of your esteemed organization in my complaint.

    I am Arpit Kasliwal and a valued customer of Kotak Mahindra Bank from last 10 years.

    I was very impressed with Kotak bank in my 10 years of relationship with them but recently they break my trust and wrongly debited Non Maintenance charges for Jan and Feb from my account on 04/24 and 04/25 . Even when I have the much more balance in account then required.

    Till Jan 2016 Kotak system was automatically creating the recurring term deposits if account balance is more then Rs 10K and automatically break the Term deposit if balance is less then Rs 10K. This way till Jan my balance was maintained in my account properly.

    Suddenly in Jan I received email from Kotak that you are not maintaining your minimum balance in account i.e. Rs 10K. But at that time I have balance around 1 lack 30K in term deposit. So I went to my Kotak MG.Road Indore Branch office and raised this concern that why I received this email even when have the required balance in Term Deposit account. Then branch member told me that it is a regular email which mistakenly sent to you. You don't need to worry about this.

    As per the Kotak facility one of my term deposit should be break automatically and transferred to my account. But it is not happened and they charged me Rs 687 and Rs 512 for not maintaining the balance in Jan and Feb 2016.

    When I talked to there customer representative he told me that he will revers all the expense and again credit to my account but it will take 3 Months.

    I am not sure why they need 3 months to revers the maintenance charges in my account.

    Please help me to get my amount back in my account.

      I was lied to about charges and account plans while opening an account. Mr Chandraprakash Rai and Mr Manish Chantba of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Naranpura Branch, Ahmedabad told me that if I opened a current account and a savings account together, the bank would "Group" them and I would need to maintain a minimum balance of Rs 10, 000/- only in the current account and Not the savings account.

      After the accounts were opened, they started charging my savings account for non maintenance of minimum balance. Their help center said that there was no such plan. But on phoning Mr Rai, he confirmed that they do have such a plan and that not to worry. This was also confirmed by Ms Jankana of the bank after once again complaining to the help center.

      I have since applied for closing of the accounts. Beware Of this bank. You can see more of their lies here.

        for credit card of kotak mahindra .they called me many times to take credit card and after some days i got card also, but suddenly they stop all services and said that your pan card signature is mismatched than how u issue this card without varying my address signature, and after that i submitted my new pan card copy with correct signature than also it was not activated, so i will not suggest anyone to take any services from kotak mahindra bank they have there own rules of banking.

          When i got credit card from this bank then they promised me two movie voucher after spending some money on credit card within some time frame. I did same but till now i didn't get any voucher from their side. Regarding this so many times i called customer care and also wrote to so many persons to that bank but no one took ant step to resolve my issue. It became more than 8 months but no action i am seeing from their side. Now they have stopped replying my mails also.

          This bank is a big cheater and fraud, they use to promise a lot but never fulfill any one from those.

          Such a worst bank, i am suffering a lot due to all its non sense stuffs.

          Below is the mail content also so that you can understand how much i suffered with this cheater bank:

          Hi all,

          This mail i am writing after having lot of troubles with kotak bank.

          This mail got delayed because i was out of town for some days otherwise i would have written this to you some 2-3 weeks back.

          I have three accounts in different different banks but first time i have faced all these issues here and now this is too much.

          I have a salary account in kotak for which below are the details:

          Name: sandeep kumar
          Crn: 94344029

          I am trying to transfer my salary account to some other bank due to all the non sense of kotak bank.

          Below are the problems which i face and i want answers from you people that why i faced all these non sense and what was my mistake in all those bull stuff?

          1) once my salary account got opened in kotak, i got a call from kotak for credit card and i applied for that. During the call that lady who called me, she mentioned lot of benefits and facilities of the credit card but same i didn't get.

          2) worst part is that i got credit limit in the credit card as 15000rs which is almost my 10 days salary. (Generally i use my credit card for big amount, 30k+) after getting that card i called kotak customer care then they told that "you are eligible for that card only that is why you got that and whatever benefits i asked which was mentioned to me in previous call before applying the card, she told that all those facilities are not available to that card". After that i requested her to increase my credit limit then she told that that is not possible before six month, then i asked her to close my card then she told that use it for some time and we will process your request and we will try to increase your limit and at any time if you require to use more than 15k using this credit card then you call me and instantly without any approval we will increase your limit by 5k, means then limit will be increased to 20k. Also she mentioned one offer that if you will spend some amount (1000 i remember) before some day (31 aug i remember) then we will give you two movie voucher of bookmyshow.

          (Interesting thing is, one of my colleague who has exact same salary as mine he got better card than me whose credit limit is 50k+ and also with lots of benefit, i don't know how was that possible that i was not eligible for that card but he was. And for information, i have better account balance record and credit card use history than him, earlier we had credit card from same bank which has given more credit limit to me than him because of my banking history and credit card use history)

          3) in between all these i came to know that without my application and knowledge my email address got change to some wrong email address. This i came to know after getting a message on my registered mobile number from kotak. For this issue i called bank so many times and each time they were asking me to come to bank with your identity details and an application then only we will change your email. I was not able to go to bank as i was always busy with the works and here my point was you guys changed my email id to wrong email without any application and without visiting any of your branch then why this time i need to visit your branch. For this time i struggled a lot and called customer cares so many times and each time they were telling some different different stories and each time they were telling that i have registered your complain and whenever i asked for complain id, they used to tell we will message that to your registered mobile but i never got any message. But somehow this issue got resolved after communicating with syed and ranjitha. But really this was a horrible experience.

          4) as they mentioned about the offer for credit card, i did the same, i spent more than 2k on that card before said date and i was waiting for the coupon. After long time when it was too late i called the customer care about that (It was after my email got changed to wrong but before it got corrected) then they mentioned that it was already sent to my email address then i mentioned that can you check if there is any complain is there regarding wrong email for this account then she told yes it is there then i asked then why did you send this to wrong email, then she registered a complain and told that we will look into this and will let you know. I didn't get this complain id also. Again after long time when i didn't get any response from them, i called them, meanwhile my email id got corrected, in this call what she mentioned that "we have sent that coupon to your email as well as your registered mobile number and since your email id was wrong and you didn't get that in email you got that in your mobile message so use that" and surprisingly i had not get any such message and i told the same to her but she was not agree and she told we can't send that again.

          5) after all these i was fed up with this and i decided to close that credit card and then in the same previous call i asked her to close my credit card. She took my request. After some time i got a call from them again regarding verification and then she asked why are you closing this then first i asked can you check if that movie voucher which they committed with me as offer was sent to my registered mobile no.? Then she checked and told that no it was sent only to your email id then i asked her about email address then she mentioned which was wrong. I double confirmed with her if they sent that to my mobile or not but she told no we have not sent this to your mobile. After this i narrated all those non sense story to her then she apologies for that and told that "please don't close this card and if you will not close this then we will send you those movie vouchers again and will also increase your credit limit". I was surprised after hearing this from her, how can she tell like that, was she doing any favor for me by sending those vouchers. Whatever they mentioned as the offer according to that i spent money then only you were offering me that voucher, i was not begging for those vouchers, that was my right to get those as i had spent money for that. After all these i asked her i don't need any voucher you please close this card then she closed that.

          6) i went to kotak branch in btm 2nd stage (I think earlier it was ing vysya) to submit some draft there. There i asked about demat account then there one lady took my details and told that concern person will get back to you and after that i waited for long time but no one contacted me after that i went to some other bank and opened demat account there and have started trading also but still i didn't get a single call from kotak. See how irresponsible kotak is. But any way it doesn't bother me because i am happy that i didn't open demat in your bank.


          Now can you people please answer me about all the above issue that why i suffered through all these and in all above points where was my mistake?

          Seriously it was kind of mental harassment from kotak people. I will never suggest anyone to open any account in kotak. You people don't think that you are giving 6% interest so people will come running to you. Now a days people need mental peace and good service rather than more interest rate.

          I wanted to write this to consumer forum but later i thought why to waste my time to correct you people, better to change the bank and live happily.

          But i am expecting at least answer to my question.

            Dear mam/sir,

            I had to opt for one life insurance scheme policy no. 03170021 in the year 2015 since i had applied for personal loan in the same mentioned time.In the year 2015 the annual premium was deducted from my bank account as ecs, again in the year 2016 for annual premium before the due date i was getting incessant calls from kotak life insurance department to pay for the premium, i have made the payment of rs 20, 363 through my credit card on 28th mar'16 again the same amount was deducted on 31st mar'16(Due date) from my account as ecs.
            I have raised the concern with the kotak life insurance department, they have provided three eta (13th april, 22nd april, 27th april)till date to credit/refund the excess amount that has been debited, i am pretty sure they will keep on delaying the refund payment although it has been communicated to them that i have received my credit card statement and need to pay the amount in few days.

            However they are not prioritizing not taking any actions on the pleas but asking me to "solicit my kind co-operation and patience in the interim."

            Requesting you to look and investigate into the matter, help me reclaiming the money as aforementioned.

              From last 2 days i am getting threat calls from kotak mahindra bank for barclays outstanding, i have been very polite to the guy but he was just abusing and giving life threat, while asking him about legal action he said he is not afraid, you can file a complaint we have very big back up.
              Mr.Ganesh kalina office Mumbai, the person is abusing like anything and giving unaccepted threat, this is completely unacceptable, he is calling from - +[protected], +[protected]. I believe he is not calling from official no. purposefully. While asking employee id he is abusing, while asking for taking legal action he is abusing and saying we have very high back up, you can do anything you want.
              please take strict action against such a irresponsible staff, and threat calls should be stopped with immediate effect.
              while telling him about law and constitution he started abusing and said i dont care about that.
              please note and take it seriously.

              Got the same call. And we do not have any link with the bank. They are abusive like hell. We have recorded the calls. Yes, when we talked about law they said that they don't care. Really disgusted! Surely we will take legal steps! [protected] is the number, true caller shows it as Kotak Bhupendra. Please take action against the abusive lady and the abusive guy.

                Account debit freeze

                I opened a bank account after so many request from person of kotak mahindrs bank visiting my office in delhi.
                Even i don't need but he told me about benifit and some other features. He asked me for a cheque rs 20000k but he said he will return it after account will get open as it is 0 balance account.
                After opening account he put cheque for clearing when i saw that i called the person of kotak he didn't responded....

                Hi,

                My Kotak SPLN Loan Account number 59631463

                I have my bank account with the necessary funds (Rs 13, 301/-) on 7th April 2016 to clear my EMI amount on 10th April 2016. But ECS has not been initiated by the bank on 10th April 2016 and the EMI amount not debited from my account. Bank executive said there was some server problem and unable to debit.

                Now the bank says to pay by cash with bouncing charges behaving in a way that the customer has delayed in paying the EMI on time.

                I really don’t know what to say. In spite of intimating “n” number of times to mail IDs (service.[protected]@kotak.com; service.[protected]@kotak.com) that I have sufficient funds in my account since 7th April 2016 and the EMI of Rs 13, 301/- is not deducted for the month of April 2016, which is supposed to be deducted on 10th April 2016.

                I had sent a mail in this regard on 14th April 2016 and till now I haven’t got any replies from the bank for the mail sent from my side.

                Today I just received a call 30 minutes back from[protected] which is your bank number & one of the gentlemen from recovery team who spoke with me saying that the EMI of Rs 13, 301/- for the month of April 2016 is pending from my end & will send a collection executive to collect it and I should pay by cash along with bouncing/recovery charges. I asked him; when the funds are available in my account before the due date and why it is not cleared via ECS. Why the amount not debited on 10th April 2016. He disconnected the call. The executive who spoke to me (gentlemen) very coolly says that there is a server problem in the bank & hence the amount can’t be debited and I need to pay by cash now with bouncing charges. This clearly states that the delay and problem is from bank server side and for what reason I should pay by cash and why I should pay bouncing/recovery charges. When I asked a question the executive from the bank puts the phone off.

                The conversation which I had with the lady after the 1st call which I dialed to the same number is been fully recorded and she has agreed that the delay; mistake whatsoever is from the Kotak bank side only and it has happened to many customers this month due to server problem. I am not bothered about others and I don’t have time for that. I am worried about myself and my track record.

                I would like to intimate very clearly that I had sufficient funds in my account before my due date (10th April 2016) and till now it is available. I can’t pay my EMI by cash to your recovery team. I am no where liable to pay the EMI amount by cash when the funds are available in my account.

                Hence you have to only do an ECS debit from my account for the EMI amount of Rs.13, 301.00/- Also ensure my CIBIL score does not get affected because of this. I normally check CIBIL score on a quarterly basis and this April 2016 EMI should not be mentioned as default because the ECS transaction is not been initiated by bank on 10th April 2016.

                My CIBIL score should not be reduced because of this issue where as a customer I am not responsible for it.

                I have not delayed in paying my dues on time. But this time in the month of April 2016, the bank has not initiated the ECS debit for the EMI amount in my account as on date which was suppose to be debited on 10th April 2016.

                I really dont get response from the bank as per the SLA committed by them for my complaint. I raised a complaint on the above in customer care on 14th April 2016 by email and multiple follow ups done over phone and email on the same issue. But still I had not got any resolution on this matter. The SLA is keep on getting extended and now I got a mail from bank last week stating the complaint will be resolved as early as possible, which I cannot agree.

                My EMI got debited on 20th April 2016, inspite of sufficient funds available in my account since 7th April 2016. The bank says it is server problem and I requested for confirmation from bank side on the following and awaiting for the same.

                1. My Cibil record will not be mentioned as default for April 2016 as it is not my mistake and delay happened due to server problem from bank side, hence ECS could not be initiated from the Kotak bank on 10th April 2016, though I had sufficient balance in my account since 7th April 2016.
                2. ECS will be debited on time by the bank every 10th of month from May 2016 onwards without delays from Bank.
                3. My EMI date is 10th of every month and please initiate ECS debit only & I should not face the problems which I faced in this month due to server problem from bank end.

                If I am not getting the confirmation on the above from bank in next 48 hrs, let me proceed to next level.

                  Kotak Mahindra Bank Credit Crad Department is the worst department
                  They call you for Credit Card and tell you that you will get the credit card within 15 Days
                  They have called me many time
                  each times i told them reality about my address, ITR, salary slips bank account details and ID and all. each time they assured me that you will get credit card this time
                  we have launched it for you for free this and that
                  but each time kotak will refuse your application some times due to address is not serviceable, some times salary issue some times others issues, all the things are WTF
                  Why your guys are calling me if i am not eligible, i told them each reality then why they are coming to my premises to collect the documents, Just waste our time and to drink tea and cold drinks.

                      Hi I would like to raise a complaint against kotak credit card as they have taken out 17794.57 from kotak bank account without my authorization and and they have not put that money on the credit card as well and have blocked it and when contacted they say that they will credit the money onto the credit card after 2 days. All of this happened even after me contacting them upfront earlier in the day and telling them that I am going to make a payment.
                      The advisor I spoke to did not inform me that the money will be auto debited and because of this action I have been stranded without any money.
                      Spoke to manager call austin fernandes and he said that it is mentioned in the terms and conditions that they can take the money without permission but could find anything there.
                      Kotak Mahindra Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                      I am still fine with the money being taken out from my account but my problem is that they have the not put that money onto the credit card and my own money is blocked from me for 2-3 days and on top of that the charging process for over limit is pathetic...Disgusting bank ...had a lot of problems since beginning ...one of the worst banks I have come across ...would close all the accounts with them as soon as possible and also will not recommend kotak bank or any services associated with the bank to anyone.

                      Disgusting customer service once again. Spoke to the collections manager today as was asked to contact him by the customer services said will happen in 30 minutes. But when followed up says will happen by tonight when disputed says that did you call me two days back and you should have called me 2 days back and arrogantly says that i was doing it for you but now i will not do it... Disgusting service and people in kotak...

                        Dear Sir/Madam, This is to inform that I Jinit solanki had a credit card from ABN AMRO BANK card in 2007 which I have never applied and someone else miused the card and there is a huge outstanding on this credit card

                        Now I am getting HARRASING THREATS KOTAK Bank recovery team from 61988359 MS NEELAM seeps branch andheri (e).
                        They are continously calling on my landline and my relatives and my other office associates like my collegues and my boss for the payment. Today I got around 150 calls in 1 days and that is happening with me from last 1 week . I have got around 600 calls this weeks for the same . This is kind of bad service Kotak bank is giving.
                        Your executives are behaving like gundas and they are not able to listen to anyone. They are continiously giving bad and abusive words on phone and asking my relatives and other people to pay my dues.
                        I have explained it to the bank before that I have no dues left with bank . I will file a complaint with police regarding your recovery team as I have there address. They are mentally torturing my relatives and other people who have nothing to do with this.
                        Mr Uday Kotak please take serious actions against your recovery agents as I have filed a complaint with consumer court and also with RBI for the same
                        This is not just happening with me but will all the credit card holders of ABN amro that your bank is troubling neccesaary.please take necessary action against those resonsible for harressing mentally the customer.
                        If I get more calls from your recovery agents. Your company will be responsible for there actions and not me as they are uncessary harressing and troubling me without reason
                        I want you to take some strict action against the offenders and they are acting against rbi rules. Please take some serious action and urgently.

                          The Bank does not refund you if happen to use a ING Vyasa ATM that in my case, at Jayanagar, Bangalore did not dispense cash but my account was debited with Rs 10, 000/- and now the bank is unwilling to refund me. They state that as per the 'acquiring' banks records they will not reimburse.I had to raised the issue several times thru phone banking and net banking since the service staff only raises SRs and closes them promptly within the TAT without resolution. Each time I'm asked to wait for seven working days and finally after a month they tell me I will not be refunded
                          This is very unfair I have lost my money due to the faulty machine and they will not make any attempt to check CCTV recordings.

                            I opened a term deposit in kotak mahindra bank. Actual tenure was 1 year. I closed it 45 days before the maturity date due to emergency need. But, the bank has returned less than the actual term deposit principal amount. I raised a request to return the full principal amount and the interest with the adjusted interest rate due to premature withdrawal. I have been waiting for my money for more than 7 days. No action has been taken from the bank to resolve the issue and return my money. The default response I get from the bank whenever I contact is bank is working on resolving the issue.

                            Kotak has not returned my money yet. The response is always "we are working on resolving the issue". The current status is due to system error occurred on March 28th 2016, I received only (Total Fixed deposit amount - Rs 11000) from the bank after keeping the money in FD for 11 months. Still Kotak is working on resolving the issue. I have not recived the balance principal amount and interest yet.

                              Honestly the staff sucks and you guys owe it.

                              My RD maturity was schedule on 11/03/2016 but they changed it without any notice to 5/04/2016.

                              Complaint raised on 11/03/2016 but still they are trying to find out what the exact problem is even after a complete information was provided in email (The Fact they were not bothered to read the mail I sent to them).

                              On 18th the Branch ask for RD number (I mean who made them Manager/Branch operational manager?) They need to know first what is my RD number what they might have got from a single click and the Operational Manager - sir I know everything but in fact you don't know anything.

                              Branch-Customer Care-Customer Care floor manager-even the Nodal are least bothered to solve this.

                              All they have made is a Merry go Round where they are standing in the center and customer is rotating round and round.

                              unauthorized transaction is as per their TOS and asking for it's interest is a big crime where customer had called their customer care for 10+ time and still they are trying to find out the issue.

                              Kotak Mahindra Bank truly Sucks - a co-op or a PSU bank are much more efficient as compare to their staff.

                              and all what I got is a generic answer, seems like they all are just avoiding so that the RD will get mature as per your maturity date.

                                I have been using kotak credit card for the past 4 years. my CRN number is 50341373. on march 4th they suddenly decreased my credit limit to 28100 just by infroming me through an sms with an immediate effect. i called upto the customer care and asked about it they told that due to internal policy of the bank they have decreased the limit. on the same month bill the over limit fee has been raised and i called to customer care care they had made the reversal of the overlimit fee. again on the date of 23rd march they have decreased the limit to 26800 and i called to customer care and i got the same answer that due to their internal policy and they had made me the overlimit fee reversal. again on the date of 29th march i have receied an sms that my limit has been decreased to 26600 with immediate effect. i called to customer care regarding this they r telling the same reason that due to internal policy of the bank they have decreased. currently there are EMI's running in my card and at the time of bill generation there will be an overlimt fee will be coming.i asked to reverse the amount they are telling that sir, you know that u will be charged an overlimit fee so to avoid that you want to make an advance payment in yourcard. is this the way they talk to thier customer. if i am asking the reason for decreasing the limit they are saying that due to their internal policy.. just send an sms stating that your limit has been decreased wiht an immediate effcet how come the customer can make the advance payment with out knowing the bill amount.. i told the customer care executive that i will surrender card the lady is telling that no problem sir, you are the only customer for us. i[censored] want to surrender first make clear the outstanding amount and call us for surrendering the card. we will help u.. In other bank if a customer want to surrender the card they are helping the customer not to do like that. we will help u to solve ur problem. but in kotak mahindra bank they r not knowing to keep the customer. kindly help me.

                                  I have applied for Kotak credit card.Executive said that there is no joining fee and it will be lifetime free if I register for billpay.
                                  Now they have charged joining fee, not reversing it and also not helping me.

                                  Please reverse joining fee transaction and cancel the card as I do not want it if it is not lifetime free without joining fee.

                                    I have open 811 new account online and verification done on Saturday by home verification .After verification i got message with link to pay and i paid through Debit card 1500 rs, but still amount not updated in my 811 account.                                       Hi its been more than 2 months i have requested for replacement of lost credit card, but could not receive my card till now.If i am calling to kotak customer care then getting an information that its pending with bluedart and they are providing awb no.I tried calling bluedart customer care they have asked to check with bank.
                                      I have been calling many times to the kotak customer care..And getting same information wait for 2-3 days, pending with bluedart and not giving complete details.Is this the way how you respond to customer.I am very unsatisfied.Please take the necessary action.
