The complaint is against the Sales Staff for misguiding me which forced me to cancel the loan. I received the loan approval E-mail on 11th Dec with contact of Sales person . From 11th I contacted the Salesperson, he does not pick the call. On 13th Dec I call again, Sales pick and I inform of the approved loan amount and what action should I take to avail the loan, he says he will send an e-mail. On 14th Dec 2018, I reply to E-mail, "OK to Process". Since I haven't received any call or e-mail acknowledgement regarding the status of the loan, I called up the Sales several times. The Sales just ignored my call and when he picked up the call, he informed me that loan will not be sanctioned. Since he confirmed on the call that loan will not be sanctioned, I went ahead and applied with a different bank for a loan. On Dec 17th I again receive an e-mail regarding Loan Approval and since my deal with the other bank was better I informed, I don't want to proceed with the loan. He accepted verbally to cancel. On 20th December, I called just to make sure the loan is cancelled, he informed me, the loan cannot be cancelled, the amount is disbursed. Meanwhile, the Loan which I applied with the other bank got approved, sanctioned and amount also got disbursed to my account. As soon as the sale informed the amount is disbursed, I informed to stop the transaction and I don't require the loan. My request was unheard and the bank went ahead with the amount to be disbursed. Now when informed that I do not require this loan, the bank is charging me a cancellation of 5%. My concern is why should I pay the 5% charges when the Sales person was not responsible for his duty. He misguided me all the time, also made fun of me and insulted me via the call, there was not an E-mail confirmation also and moreover, i haven't used the loan amount also. Sales have fooled around with me in this particular case. I had to pay 5% of the cancellation charges as I didn't want any further communication with Kotak Bank Sales.
I request you to help me out here in getting the cancellation charges waived off, for the reason, I was misguided and insulted and above these, I have not used the amount.
