My MSEB house meter is :[protected]. I have registered atleast 6 complaints over last 2 years on faulty meter and visited the MSEB Office in SB road many times.
The people in the office try to do some rectification and report that the meter is OK and after 4 to 5 months gain start sending the Faulty meter bills. This is going on for over 2 years.
Now again for last 4 months the meter reading is coming as faulty and also they report that they do not have any new meters. The billing is also very high.
I have been requesting customer care to send technician to remove electric joint which is just above our main entry and we have faced sparks 2times today. Thanks to your pathetic service every time I got answer as we are forwarding your complaint on priority basis and no one visited and resolved the issue. I feel you guys must be waiting for some misfortune to happen. Also, I got an answer as we take 4 hrs to process the complaint however it's been more than that then too no response. What a wonderful service you are providing to the customer.

    I am getting unexpectedly higher bills and also I have registered a complain to office offline for checking my unit for which I also had to pay an amount of Rs. 260, if there is a problem but even after a month no one made a visit to check my meter plus the office asks me to pay some amount each time or else the man will come to cut my connection.
    I don't know where else to go for help.

              In Uran Naka, Old panvel (410206) area there is frequent light cut off for more than 12 hrs . Each day there is light fluctuations, light comes and goes for more than 5-6 times a day. Due to this we are facing so much problems, our electronic instruments are getting damaged. Our study and work is getting affected due to this. In exam periods also there is no light for so many hours. When we try to complain in the nearest MSEB cell they don't pick up the calls and they say that it's not in our hand. So please help us we pay each and every light bill on time still we are getting this pathetic service due to this our daily life is getting affected. I'm looking forward to your help.

                  Respected Sir/Madam,

                  I am an Class I officer working under the Government of India Ministry.

                  My electricity meter no is[protected] billing unit 4598. I want to inform you that I discovered that the electricity bill from January 2021 till current august’22 bill for the last eighteen months has been without any current/chalu reading and the reason faulty meter. I have been paying all these months promptly before time online without seeing the bill and without knowing the meter is faulty until I read a newspaper piece on 20Aug22 "MSEDCL dismisses 76 meter-reading agencies". I was also getting high bills even on months when I was out of station. The news and the higher billing helped me to my astonishment in discovering when I started digging the past bills from January 2021 which contained the old "to" reading of the December 2020. It was the duty of the MSEDCL or the outsourced persons to intimate me about it immediately or by means of any electonic popup or sms text message from your app instead of generating bill on average calcuation as it was not genuine during the month of our out of station days. How can one expect a consumer to be looking at the readings and the faults every month. Immediately I logged a complaint using the msedcl app on 23.09.22, the complaint ID is[protected]. Its more than a week the status shows as assigned. I tried to hold up the current august’22 months payment for adjustment and hoping this problem getting resolved but it doesnot seem like and I am forced to pay the current august’22 bill today even after knowing the problem.

                  I got to know about the meter display not showing reading after I went into the meter room in our society asking keys from our society secy. Although the LED of meter display is showing light, only the reading is missing refer my attachment.

                  Today I approached your office in Senapati Bapat road they asked me to meet the asst engineer at sai chowk sus road office. I was taken aback that I was said that there are lot of such complaints and mine although is a online complaint will be taken in the last and when I wanted to do complaint by writing he discouraged saying it will take long long time and if I am ready to wait for it by paying the units that are generated every month without billing then OK. He also suggested me to avoid the waiting period try buying a new one from outside myself and get it fixed and in exchange get reimbursed the amount of Rs.1500

                  Firstly is it not that all the consumers should know about whenever the meter is faulty and that it has to be replaced thru the app by way of some notification, so that immediate complaint or action could be taken from our side also, just as I complained using the app immediately when I discovered that this has happened to me.

                  Secondly is it allowed to buy the meter by ourselves paying such a huge amount for no fault of ours and get a paltry sum of Rs.1500 reimbursed.

                  I request you to please look into the matter immediately on priority and get the meter checked and kindly arrange to replace it on priority as I am paying higher amount than my consumption or even if on an average basis wrt the months before Dec2020 when my meter was fine. I hope that the reputation of MSEDCL is maintained by quick response and resolution of the consumers problems who is paying the bill promptly as soon as demand is generated unlike some defaulters. Your prompt attempt in solving this will encourage our morale.

                  No, the complaint has not been resolved. No action of replacing the meter has been done and I am continuing to get electricity bills with no "current" unit reading and it is still on average basis that the bills are generated which is on the higher side every month. This is total injustice being meted out to citizen for no fault of his It is the duty of the department to replace the meter and not asking the citizen to buy meter of such a huge cost on their own with reimbursing a paltry amount of 1500 where as a good quality meter costs around 5000. I request the higher authorities to look into this and resolve the issue as its long pending since January 2021 I am paying the monthly bills on time and still I am being punished with your average units model which is costing me heavily. Pl. refer the image of the latest bill photo. The photo is the same photo when it was installed and not the original shot of the monthly reading photo. This fraud is also taking place. My meter reading has LCD flash but only the reading is not appearing as shown in my previous image. The image in the electricity bill is not the monthly new image as being shown with longitude and latitude and the date, the location and date is being morphed on a older meter image every month.

I already paid the the average bill of month may and June because the Mseb office told me to pay the average bills then only we will send you the meter reading bills .even After paying average bills they are disconnecting electricity supply . Pls revert back why you are keep on giving me average bills . I want my meter reading bills only.. I dont want such average bills again those who I already paid . Revert back as soon as possible.

                          Our energy meter was faulty since months. We had been constantly complaining but mseb did not take action on the same.

                          For the month of July 2022 we got an exorbitant bill of Rs 37000/-, after which we rushed to mseb ulwe and they sent a mechanic to check the meter and the loads connected in the house. They issued a report on the faulty meter and asked us to submit at Belapur MSEB office for bill correction which we did so .
                          The officer said it will take 4-5 days but even after 10days (yesterday)the bill was not corrected. Again we visited belapur and enquired, after seeing us the officer is searching for our report from a pile. He said he will do it by evening but by night it got revised to Rs 18000 which is again very high considering 2working people's minimal usage of electricity. Again went to ulwe mseb and asked and they said we might have used AC . We have not used AC for past 2months. Again the officer sent a mechanic to check if we are using AC. The mechanic checked and confirmed to the officer that there is no usage of AC. Finally the officer tells us that still we have to pay 18000/- and after paying I have to get the receipt and after that he will make sure that the new meter is installed.

                          We were left with no choice but to pay this amount else they will not replace the meter and again these bill errors will repeat every month.

                          This is sheer harrassment from MSEb to middle class people like us.

                          Expecting refund/ compensation for this excess amount charged.

                                  Here are my connection details:

                                  BU/circle code. 0850 / MULSHI

                                  My meter was disconnected a few months ago. In the bill from September 2021 when the meter was in temporary disconnection (T.D.) stage, the meter reading for meter number [protected] was 3473 at time of disconnection.

                                  Thereafter I got the meter reconnected by submitting the documents and paying the charges. The meter and electricity were restored on May 25, 2022. The reconnected meter had meter number 6481657 and its meter reading was 3476 when it was reconnected on May 25, 2022.

                                  The meter reading of 3476 on the meter was there when the meter was reconnected on May 25, 2022. Since then, no one has been living at the apartment and hence there has been practically no electricity consumption. My current electricity bill still shows P.D. and the bill amount is 0. Can you please look into the matter urgently?
