I have been writing mail for the closure of the account but no one has responded yet. The network connectivity of MTNL is pathetic and I don't want to continue. DUe to Lockdown, I could not even visit the MTNL office for the closure.

Request team to revert as its no point in paying for such a bad connection

    My MTNL, Mumbai, landline no.[protected] is not working. Dial tone is not available. Sometimes, the phone rings and when lifted, ring continues until (perhaps) the ringing party ends the call. Please attend tothe fault without delay.

      I had surrender my mtnl phone[protected] to borivali telephone exchange on 1st feb 2021 with letter dt 1st feb 2021 duly acknowledged by them at sr no 563 requestingbthem to refund deposited of Rs 3000. They told me that I will get within 60 days . But yet not received
      I am a sr citizen of age 70 and need money for daily medical and other expenses.
      When I phone on mtnl mumbai number 28066788 account dept they say that mtnl has no fund to pay and refun of deposit pending from 2019.
      Please follow the matter to get refund.

                    MTNL Landline is registered with WADALA Branch, MUMBAI pin 400014

                    MTNL Landline number has NOT been working since FEB 2020, instrument is DEAD since.

                    We have been paying bill of Approx 540 per month regularly for 1 year despite instrument DEAD. Phone belongs to my SENIOR CITIZEN mother 81 yrs age.

                    MTNL Wadala Mumbai, you are hereby put on NOTICE legally, to either carry out effective repairs or stop billing this number with HIGHLY INFLATED bills. Suspect something FISHY by landline being given to others for use when instrument is DEAD.

                    KINDLY PREPARE your BOOKS for FORENSIC AUDIT. This case justifies a Class Action and FIR.

                    Please find INFLATED BILLS attachedm despite a DEAD INSTRUMENT.

                        Have been receiving SMS every month that Rs. 7 have been deducted for downloading wallpaper service.

                        But I never subscribed for this service and this is nothing but simply a scam.

                        Screenshot of the SMS has been attached. I demand an immediate refund of the amount as early as possible.

                            [protected]. I am using MTNL Landline. My telephone number is 26133292. The telephone instrument was provided by MTNL when I took the connection. Since some days, the telephone instrument is turning ON in speaker mode on its own randomly at any time of Day/Night, also there was very high disturbance in the line. I registered a complaint on MTNL website. First, an official from MTNL called me on the landline, and then asked me what the problem was. I was telling him the problem, and in the middle of the conversation, the phone got disconnected on its own and then I never got a call back. And when I saw the complaint status on the MTNL portal, it was closed, but the problem was still unresolved. Then, I again registered another complain in MTNL website, regarding the same issue. I got a call back once again, and this time I tried to narrate my problem as fast as possible, fearing the phone getting disconnected. The officials came at my place, checked the line and the socket. The line was completely fine. The problem was with the instrument. They told me to go to the Telephone Exchange office personally with the telephone instrument, and get it replaced. I took the telephone and went to Vile Parle East Telephone exchange (MTNL Office). A person named Salunkhe talked with me. He told me that no new telephone instrument were available at that moment. I told him that the telephone instrument is MTNLs property, and if it gets any fault on its own, it is company's responsibility to replace it, as we have already paid an amount for the instrument. Then he went on to talk with his senior, and his senior, Mr. Dinesh, told me to wait, he made me wait for 45 mins. Then I again went to him for any updates. He is then telling me that the instrument won't be able to replace. And all this, after spending 15 mins with Mr. Salunkhe, and 45mins waiting for Mr. Dinesh. Then another official, whose office is on the 2nd floor, I went to meet him on Mr. Dinesh's reference. He came down and talked with Mr. Dinesh about the problem. Still, his answer was the same. The only solution that they were ready to give, was to replace my Telephone instrument, with another Old and Used telephone instrument. Firstly, If I am paying for a service, why should I get a second hand product? Also, Amid rising COVID-19 cases, what if that used Telephone instrument was previously used by some COVID positive patient? I told them, that in worst case, I would accept the used instrument on 2 conditions, 1st that the instrument should be fully sanitized inside out. 2nd that, if my senior citizen parents get infected with COVID-19 due to the infection on the instrument, then MTNL is responsible, and give me in writing on a paper. I was for once ready for used instrument because, Landline is a very useful device for me. I have to contact various people for different purposes. And moreover, I am paying for this service. As the discussion went ahead in the Telephone exchange office, the officials started raising their voices, and started shouting at me. They insulted me in a very bad manner, and shouted in a very cheap tone. As if they are shooing away some stray dog. And they were officials of high post. I have attached a video of this incident. Please find me a resolution for this issue, as soon as possible, and required actions on the officials, for insulting, dishonoring, and creating a ruckus, with a customer, who is considered a king.

                              I have been repeatedly complaining throughout lockdown as my mtnl landline was out of order but I just kept receiving bills inspite of no service .Even asked for bill adjustments to be made but None of the customer care number s are reachable & after hours of going through the useless waiting on IVR if you do get lucky, the line drops, it’s just a loop & is frustrating & inconvenient. Currently my line is still disconnected & Why is a customer expected to pay for services which are not being delivered & are on record due to complaints being regularly made. Not to mention the harassment you are going through as you are helpless & you need your telephone working especially given the current scenario we are all going through. it is impossible to get your point across to anybody-leave alone have an issue resolved. It’s high time someone intervened & took some serious action against these people.To begin with have a customer care section that is actually functional & reachable to actually resolve issues. COVID can’t be used as an excuse.

                                The MTNL landline phone no 25071171 which was installed in my residence in Dwarka, Sector 6, New Delhi was surrendered in May 2019 due to persistant poor service if MTNL. The security deposit refund amount of Rs 2752/- was settled by their Accounts department on July 4th, 2019. I am however yet to receive a refund cheque or online payment in lieu of above.

                                On inquiry from their Customer sevice department and their Accounts department officials, they say that they have processed the papers and sent to higher ups for releasing the refund amount, but MTNL doesnt have the money to refund.
                                MTNL is prompt in sending their bills and and adding late payment penalties if the bills are not paid in time, but they do not have such paltry amounts to refund and close the issues.
                                Will someone take up this issue please with MTNL and get my amount refunded?? During this pandemic times it is alsi not possuble to chase their higher officials.

Not to mention the harassment you are going through as you are helpless & you need your telephone working especially given the current scenario we are all going through. Vodafone network anyways has always been an issue at residence & that too remains unresolved till date but mtnl landline is kept as a back up but there too it is impossible to get your point across to anybody-leave alone have an issue resolved. It’s high time someone intervened & took some serious action against these people.To begin with have a customer care section that is actually functional & reachable to actually resolve issues. COVID can’t be used as an excuse.

                                    My mother is 91 years of age. Her phone 29222738 has not been working for over a year. She has sent the cancellation form but is being told top go in person to in COVID environment. People on the phone are curt and not helpful]ul, they disconnect without hearing the conversation.
                                    Please note that my mother will no longer pay any bills and that non payment will be MTNL's responsibility.
                                    I can't believe that Senior citizens ate being harassed like this.
                                    Our country needs to do better!!!

                                      Please note that my father’s telephone number 25211519 has been not working for the past 6 months.

                                      We have Complained number of times and it has been ignored. He is a very senior citizen and he cannot visit your office. I have complained again today and the docket number is 222.

                                      He has received a bill of Rs.274/- this month even though the telephone is completely dead for the past 6 months.

                                      This is not acceptable and we request you to cancel this bill and have the phone rectified and working so we can pay the bill next month onwards.

                                        I Vyomesh Desai was owner of Landline along with broadband of MTNL Mumbai. My exchange is Vasant Vihar / Charai Thane and my Landline phone no was 21718353. I have surrendered my phone connection on 19 Nov 2020. During surrendering my phone I was give a work order no 2526/2527 through which I was suppose to get my security deposit back to my residential address.
                                        Unfortunately till today I have not received the said cheque.
