Payment Deducted but Ticket not recieved

I tried booking a ticket in the MSRTC website, and although the amount was deducted via Paytm, the website crashed with the error “java.lang.NullPointerException” and no ticket was generated.
This has happened multiple times. Please check and refund the deducted amount.

When I booked through the red bus I selected the boarding point at ginger hotel, mumbai Pune Highway. But the bus operator told to me to board from the wakad location in front of indion oil petrol pump.

While during change the boarding point I was with my family along with my kid and facing much problems.br...

Did not receive refund

Dear sir,
I travel from chandrapur to Nagpur on dt 19th July 2025 @ 11.30 am.
I make online payment of ticket using paytm but conductor says there is some issue and he did not get payment. However payment of Rs 414 was deducted from my paytm. Conductor gave me helpline no and email ID.
My email got returned saying not in service and also helpline no, there is no option for refund.
Today I went to Nagpur bus station...

I am writing to lodge an official complaint regarding a failed UPI transaction while booking a bus ticket through MSRTC on 28th April 2025 from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad) to Jalgaon.

Here are the details of the issue:

Travel Date: 28th April 2025

Amount Paid: ₹424

UPI Transaction Reference No.:[protected]

Paid To UPI ID: shri.066.[protected]@mairtel

Payment Status: Successful (as per my UPI confirmation)

Issue: The payment was deducted from my account, but the conductor's system did not receive confirmation due to a server error.

Action Taken: I paid the same amount in cash and received a physical ticket.

Proof Available:

1. Screenshot o[censored]PI successful transaction

2. Cash receipt/ticket issued by conductor

It has been over 24 hours since the incident, and I have yet to receive any refund or update regarding my initial payment. I respectfully request MSRTC to look into the matter and initiate a refund of ₹424 to my original payment method.

Please take necessary action and confirm the status of my complaint at the earliest.

Update – No Refund Even After 10 Days of Complaint

I am posting this update to inform that even after more than 10 days, I have received no response from MSRTC or EbixCash regarding my refund.

I have already sent emails to [protected]@gmail.com and [protected]@ebixcash.com, and also tried WhatsApp support on [protected] / [protected], but there has been no acknowledgment or refund.

This kind of delay and silence from a government transport body and its payment partner is unacceptable. I am now planning to escalate this issue to:

1. RBI Ombudsman (after 30 days of complaint, as per RBI rules)

2. National Consumer Helpline (NCH)

3. Consumer Court / Lok Adalat

Requesting urgent attention before I proceed legally.

    On the morning of 29 April 2025, I reached Nancy Colony bus depot a few minutes before 6:30 AM. One of the buses MH-14 BT-4979 had a sign in Marathi that read Borivali-Ghotwadi on the front (see picture I clicked)

    I asked the driver if this bus would go to Chakan. He was not polite and didn't confirm. He asked me to tell him the trip number. I tried telling him something by reading the booked ticket in my phone.

    A few seconds later a conductor came into the bus. I told him I had a reservation up to Chakan and asked him to take a look at the screenshot of my ticket on my phone (which was displaying the same in my left hand)

    He refused to take a look saying he did not have time. He sat on the front seat and then took a brief look and said your booking is for the 7.00 AM bus which was parked besides mine.

    The driver started the bus, and the conductor made me alight.

    (Now when making the online booking the previous evening I did not see any 7.00 AM bus from Nancy to Chakan (See screenshot of MSTRC taken this morning which shows only 2 buses from Borivali towards Chakan are displayed in the APP) I asked him to show me the booking manifest he had in his hand and to find out who has booked seat #10. He flatly REFUSED.

    So, I rushed to the man (seems to in charge of the depot) sitting at the counter (met him the previous evening - was a NICE/GOOD person who told me I could come over the next morning and he would give me a seat on the morning bus as the counter booking was closed at 5.00 PM. However, I reinstalled the APP and successfully booked my ticket which I showed him the previous evening on my phone)

    I told him about the rude conductor who REFUSED to allow me to take my legally booked ride. I further said that the bus has already started/must have said already left. He said if the bus has left what could be do?

    However, I looked towards the stand exit and could see that there was another bus blocking the exit of my bus.

    We both rushed towards my bus. I went to the front and signaled to the driver to wait.

    The depot controller went to the conductor's side and asked him to read out the passenger's name against reservation seat #10. The conductor uttered a name which certainly did not sound like my name at all. (The conductor could have looked up the passenger's mobile number which should be available on the printed manifest in his hand - but he did not do so)

    I handed over my phone to the NICE/GOOD depot controller who took a look and said that the reservation was indeed for this particular bus going to Ghotwadi via Chakan.

    Reluctantly the conductor opened the door and let me in. He further shouted at me and asked me to speak to him in Marathi instead of Hindi.

    I asked the Gas Delivery man sitting on seat #9 what could be the reason for him refusing me.

    Anyway, during the journey, the rude conductor was shouting at passengers. At some stops at Panvel he refused passengers although they were willing to travel standing.

    The Gas Delivery man too said he was very rude.

    An old man maybe over 80 years old came into the bus at Khopoli and booked a ticket up to Lonovala. (There was no seat available, so he sat in a passenger's bag lying on the floor) He needed to get off in-between, but the rude conductor shouted at him.

    Finally, he let him get off. (If the poor fellow had to go all the way to Lonovala and then come back by another bus where he needed to actually get off that would cost him time and money)

    Interestingly on the was a small family got into the bus Man, Woman and Child of around 3 years. They had a previously booked reservation. It's strange how the conductor stopped the bus in the middle of known famous stops to pick them up?

    The three of they took their reserved seats in my right. (seats meant for 2 but they child was around 3 years old who sat on their laps)

    If I had missed by legally/rightfully booked bus?

    This is the first time in my life that I've encountered a ST bus conductor to refuse a passenger with a legally booked ticket.

    Please take STRICT disciplinary ACTION against this RUDE Conductor.

        Theft at bus stnad and strict measures to avoid these incidents by mrstc administration:
        No cctv setup available at mela stand.
        Insufficient police staff at mela stand.
        Mela bus stand, nashik city, maharashtra is becoming trap for innocent residents in nashik as well as outsiders travelling to all part of maharashtra from nashik city. It has been observed since last one month (Since march 2025 till date) there are numbers of theft cases increased multifold at mela bus stand nashik, the administrations poor planning and no serious action taken on the issues, that has increased the intensity of matter badly. Points for immediate action: 1) cctv cameras with long span recording covering all areas around both the thakkar and mela stand within target dates mentioned to complete the project is must. Declaring safe instructions on mike are not sufficient. 2) helping team & fir registration on spot for similar theft cases at premises with immediate action on theft. 3) a strong police team to handle thieves/ pocket pickers and hypnotising or similar technics - who are looting common man there. 4) proper investigation & strict and painful punishment for these offenses - not to be repeated by pick pocketers in near future. 5) fully involvement of police staff & administration in continuing this drive till next two years at least with sufficient powers given to local team.

            I am complaining about the mis management at the level of stations and depot managers

            Sir, Self and my wife travelled on 22/Dec 24 from Pune to Mumbai. The staff at the enroute stations should be more polite with the customers. This is stop at Aundh. They are arrogant and though they are doing nothing just sitting on mobiles, yet they feel and show they are very busy. Timings of the busses at various stations enroute should be clearly displayed. This would vary by a couple of minutes depending on the traffic.

              Booked my ticket online for bus Mumbai Central to Satara on 20.12.2024 . Scheduled arrival at Dadar at 10.10 pm ( 20.12.2024) but bus not reached till 11.55 pm.

              Standing for 2 hours . It's terrific experience.

              Very bad experience. What's the use to book ticket online with extra charges . MaSRTC should compensate

                      I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the bus service I experienced on 22nd September 2023. Below are the details of my journey:
                      • Travel Date: 22.09.2023
                      • Bus Depot: Wai Depot
                      • Bus No.: MH 14 BT 4595
                      • Travel Ticket No.: 0048232
                      • Route: Wai to Kalyan
                      • Journey: Wai to Dombivali
                      Nature of Complaint:
                      1. Delayed Departure: The scheduled departure time was 6:45 AM, but the bus arrived at 7:00 AM, causing an initial delay.
                      2. Poor Condition of the Bus: The condition of the bus was extremely poor, both interior and exterior. This is unacceptable for a long-distance journey.
                      3. Fueling Delay: The bus was not fueled at Wai Depot and had to detour to Khandala Paragon for refueling, causing an additional delay of 20-25 minutes.
                      4. Safety Concerns: A tyre was placed inside the bus in front of the emergency window, posing a serious safety hazard.
                      5. Disparity in Bus Quality: I have observed that buses on shorter routes like Swargate and Satara are in much better condition. It is disappointing to see such discrimination against passengers traveling to Kalyan.
                      As a passenger on a 5-6 hour journey, I expect a bus in good condition to ensure a comfortable and safe trip. I had requested a better bus at the enquiry window, but was directed to speak to the senior person, Mr. Jadhav, who was not available in his cabin at that time.
                      I request you to look into this matter urgently and provide an explanation for the poor service and the apparent disparity in bus quality. I hope necessary actions will be taken to prevent such issues in the future.

                        Dear MSRTC Team,

                        First of all, I am not expecting this type of pathetic service given to customers by MSRTC. Writing this email because today I faced a lot of issues with my travelling.

                        Issue :
                        1. I booked my ticket via the MSRTC official app on[protected]:07:04 PM.
                        Schedule date is[protected]:09:00 PM
                        Route : Boisar to Narsobawadi
                        Boarding point : Virar Phata

                        2. I reached the boarding point before time and waited for an hour. Bus has to reach at least by 07:30 PM unfortunately there is no route update.

                        3. After waiting 45 minutes I decided to contact the toll free number [protected] but the call was not getting connected.

                        4. I have gone through MSRTC websites and tried below numbers but no response.
                        Dc ST Palghar - Ajit Gaikwad - [protected]
                        Boisar bus depot Manager - [protected]
                        Mumbai Central ST depot (Sachin) - [protected]
                        MSRTC - Software support - [protected]
                        All above numbers I got from complaint hub and MSRTC website.

                        5. Finally I decided to go back home and after reaching home I received a call from Mr. Devendra Shelar (may be bus conductor) [protected] at around 09:00 PM and he informed me that the bus departed from Boisar depot. I have updated him that I am going to cancel this travel ticket due to your issues. Unfortunately I am not able to cancel this ticket because it's in progress.

                        I am really disappointed due to the poor service by the Boisar depot and this is not the first time. In Dec 2023, me and my family faced this similar issue with the same depot on the Boisar-Shirdi route. The reason was the same. The bus was 1.30 hrs late due to the breakdown.

                        Requesting you to, please check this issue on priority cause this is a pathetic service provided by the MSRTC Boisar depot and customers are panicking due to their issues or miscommunications. You can proceed for my refund, if possible.

                        I am attaching my MSRTC booking ticket with this email and complaint number which I raised from Grievance Redressal System. As a citizen, I am expecting a positive response on this e-complaint.
