I regret to state that despite calling the Customer Care yesterday, I had to wait for more than 20 minutes, while on my International Call. Veery poor Service. Please note the following:
1. According to Qatar Airways, any ticket booked is valid for 2 years from the Date of Booking
2. The booked ticket is eligible for multiple Travel Date changes without any charges/fees
3. I have booked to travel from DOH-BLR on 22nd January, 2022, but could not travel as the RT-PCR Test Result came as ‘Reactive’ – please bear in mind that RT-PCR Result came just one day before the Date of Departure.
4. I immediately contacted the Qatar Airways. They cancelled the scheduled trip and kept my Onward Journey ‘Open’, and also advised I can reschedule for travel on any day.
5. However, when I logged into MakeyMyTrip, I was shocked to note that my onward journey, as per your records, assumes that I missed the flight, and I was not able to reschedule this journey as this sector was not made available.
6. Therefore, I had to Call MakeMyTrip from Qatar and as mentioned above I was made to wait for several minutes. Your Call Centre representatives gave me the following shocking information:
a. I will have to pay ‘No-show’ Charges
b. My Onward Journey (Sector) alone cannot be re-booked, but I need to re-book the whole ticket including the Return Sector
c. I have to pay charges for the above.
I DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR PROCESS, AS IT IS AGAINST THE QATAR AIRWAYS POLICY. THEREFORE, I EXPECT YOU TO CALL ME IMMEDIATELY TO RESCHEDULE MY ONWARD JOURNEY ON 1ST February, 2022 BY FLIGHT QR-574 DEPARTING DOHA AT 14:15 HOURS AND ARRIVING BLR AT 20:50 HOURS.
Issue the Ticket immediately, so that I can arrange for the RT-PCR Test.
