To, Make my Trip complaint cell I am really frustrated over follow up for the benefits those are offered to me by MMT, so I am summarizing them : 1. Booking via log in to own account for quick inclusion of reward point is practically not happening for my recent following booking I could not open with password so is not accounted for pay-back points Booking ID - NP[protected] Booking Date - Sat, 15 Feb 2014 2. I have two nos vouchers for 500/- valid till 31st March & have done following activities but no amount credit is yet reflecting.     I have made bookings thru your esteemed portal on Booking iD - NF[protected] on 30th Jan'14 for 2 o[censored]s- by Goair on round trip - Blore -Goa - dep 15th Feb'14 by G8-485 and return ticket Goa- Blore on 23rd Mar'14 by G8-286. Airline (GOAIR) PNR is 1UTAAI. I have paid Rs 14, 824/ each- Ref Invoice no. NF-23886 for Rs 14, 824/- Each of the sector is a 'Refundable. Whe I wished to cancel the return sector - Goa- Blore on 23rd Mar'14 by G8-286 dep 15:20 am for myself since last 2 weeks, Makemy trip is giving various excuses such as It is a Non Refundable ticket as per Airlines, that it cannot be cancelled, that on the day of travel the Airlines would consider NO Show and refund only Rs 70/- each (by deducting makemytrip charges of Rs 250/- each...Several communications to all Sr Team members of Makemy trip and the BPO yielded no results. We are unable to cancel the ticket thru airlines while makemytrip portal is avoiding resolution of the complaint.

    Today, once again, I got a phone call from Makemytrip Phone[protected]@9:36am wherein a gentleman identifying himself as Salman reiterated the same REGRET ON Cancellation asking whether I feel that Airlines is lying, Makemytrip is lying etc. while the tone, ridiculing laugh etc...caused irritation..whereby I had to disconnect the call... THIS IS NOT AT ALL A ATTRIBUTE OF ANY SERVICE ORGANISATION...

    In reference to your complaint, please note that we have re-checked detail at our end and found that at the time of booking this ticket, it was clearly mentioned on our website that this is round trip promotional fare and as there are multiple sectors booked, so they can only be cancelled together.

    Partial cancellation on this ticket is not possible as per the Airline policy on this ticket.

    On the E-ticket, the cancellation policy also suggests that partial cancellation is not possible because it shows you the penalty of INR 3000.00 for the round trip cancellation and not sector wise.( Bangalore - Goa -Goa - Bangalore ).

    Please note that we would not be able to cancel your tickets because partial cancellation on this ticket is not permitted as per the Airline policy. Please treat this as a final resolution on the case from our end.

    Please note that we have already shared our final closure on this case with you on call. As advised, we will not be able to cancel your tickets because partial cancellation on these tickets is not possible.

    When this ticket was booked, we had clearly shown on the website that it is round trip fare and is refundable only if cancellation together.

    Under the cancellation policy section, the cancellation policy's that you will be charged INR 3000.00 for cancelling ( BLR-GOI-GOI-BLR ). It does not show you the cancellation policy sector wise.

    We are sorry but we will not be able to honor this case. We have posted our final closure on this case yesterday but it seems that it has not been posted by Admin because of moderation.

    At the time of booking, we have clearly shown on the website that it is a round trip fare and is refundable less INR 3000.00 penalty only if the entire round trip ticket is cancelled.

    Under the cancellation policy section on the E-ticket, Airline cancellation policy advised is INR 3000.00 for cancelling ( BLR-GOI-GOI-BLT). It does not show you the cancellation policy sector wise because it is a round trip special fare which you have selected at the time of booking this ticket.

    We are sorry but we will not be able to honor this case and do the partial cancellation.

    I am indeed shocked, once again with this kind of response. It's a news that 'it is a round trip special fare, cancellation policy -sector wise not allowed...while it was clearly written on each sector that it is REFUNDABLE FARE (unlike non-refundable). This shows, once again, that the Service provider such as Makemytrip is only bothered about giving excuses instead of protecting interests of the customers, like us ... OPT FOR MAKE MY TRIP...AND GET CHEATED, IN BROAD DAY LIGHT...SEEMS TO BE THE MESSAGE. However, I shall take up the matter with Consumer Forum and fight out to protect my interest...

      I have booked a ticket for my return journey from makemytrip (Atlanta to Hyderabad) on 20 April 2014. E-Ticket shows that the ticket is refundable (NN[protected]. I have made numerous calls to makemytrip. They say that I will not be getting a penny if I cancel my ticket and says it is non refundable ticket.

        I booked a return ticket through Makemytrip.com against the booking ID NN[protected] for travelling from Shanghai to Pune on[protected]. Due to the late arrival of AI 349 from Shanghai on[protected], I missed the connected flight (9W 618) from Mumbai to Pune and after a lot of troubles I reached Pune at midnight by road and on my own arrangment as neither AI nor Jet entertained me at airport. However, on the direction of AI, I approached makemytrip over mail for the refund for the un availed flight 9W 618 from Mumbai to Pune, but on my surprise they cancelled the entire ticket included the confirmed return ticket from Pune to Shanghai on[protected]. I have all the written communication which clearly showed I requested for only the refund of 9W 618 on[protected]. This surprise also I came to know on[protected] while I just wanted to check my mails. While I called Makemytrip they insisted me to buy another return ticket ONLY FOLLWED THE SAME ROUTE so that they could refund me on the ground of their mistake. The whole conversation was recorded and the executive name was Mr.s Rahula. As there was no other option opeed for me I HAD TO BUY ONLINE ANOTHER TICKET FROM PUNE TO SHANGHAI FOLLWED THE SAME ROUTE IN HIGHER PRICES ON[protected] against the booking ID IN1402B5S065191. Since then I called them numerous time, made online complaint Reference ID: [[protected]] refund, but nothing was resolved. They even delete the refund status which they refund me (about 40000/- after deducting about 28000/-) for the earlier booking from Shanghai to Pune which was cancelled by them due to their negligence, but nothing happened about my original complaint for the refund from Mumbai to Pune on[protected] and the balance of the amount which I had to shell out on[protected] by purchasing a new ticket in much higher prices due to their inefficiency. I am not even considering the mental and physical harassment caused due to their EXPERTISE. I LOOK FOR AN EARLIEST RESOLUTION ON THIS MATTER. Regards, Ms. Maia Kareli

        I got such apology from you for atleast 21 times from you SINCE LAST ONE MONTH but that did not bring any solution. I already escalated the matters to your top management. Nothing happened...           Made my booking this morning to go home for Holi where my wife and kids are waiting for me to come. Booking ID N[censored]9902. The booking was taken, Rs. 13948/-money deducted from my account. Immediately, I get a response that the booking has failed. How can Makemytrip do the booking without locking it for the few seconds it takes to process the payment ?

          A manager was supposed to call within 1 hour as assured by CSR. It has been mire than 6 hrs and i am spendibg holi alone in a city where i know no one because makemytrip ruined my holi booking.

          As per your discussion with our call center on 16-Mar-14, full refund on your booking has been initiated on 17-Mar-14 and same should be credited to your account as per your bank processing cycle. Your refund reference number for the transaction is[protected].

          Please note that reservations are confirmed on real time basis and meanwhile you made the payment, seats got sold out. Please note that these fares and flights are published on every travel portal including Airlines and offline agents. If there is only 1 seat left in a particular class of service and multiple users are trying to book that same flight, in that case the person whose payment gets through first gets the confirmed ticket. Our systems are linked to Airline systems directly, so we cannot make any exceptions from our end. We understand your concern and we know how important it is for a person to be with his/her family on an occasion like Holi, but you will have to understand that this was a last minute booking and moreover fares are not guaranteed until tickets are issued. In these cases we offer full refund to our esteemed customers and we as a brand initiate that refund within 24-48 hrs but then it gets credited to passengers account as per his bank processing cycle. We do not have any control on the bank procedures but what we make sure is that we initiate refunds in time from our end.

            My flight (PNR -F3QH6C)SG1072/SG221 has been cancelled on[protected] from GOA-HYDERABAD-VIZAG due to airport closure at GOA. I have travelled from GOA TO HYDERABAD by bus and then by flight from HYDERABAD TO VIZAG. The amount for flight charges from GOA TO HYDERABAD are fully refunded by spice jet to make my trip but make my trip has not refunded to me till now. Help me to get my amount back.

              We address you on behalf of and under the instructions of our client, Mr. Sushil Gupta. 1) Our client states that on 26th December 2013, he made an on–line booking of air line tickets through your web site for an Air India flight from Mumbai to New Delhi being flight AI-809, for Wednesday 1st January, 2014 – Departure Mumbai at 10.00 hours. Our client states that he also booked a hotel room at the Hotel Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. Copies of the ‘Flight + Hotel Booking confirmation ’ sent by your goodselves as “Make My Trip Booking ID NP[protected] ” is enclosed herewith. 2) Our client states that he made full payment through his Credit / Debit Card. Our client states that a sum of Rs.16, 634/- was debited towards the charge for the Air ticket and the Hotel booking combined. The PNR for Air India flight AI-809 was given as ZBNS9. 3) Our client states that under the “ Important Information ” of your “ Flight + Hotel Booking confirmation ” Voucher dated 26th Dec. 2013, under sub-heading “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)”, question no. ‘C’ reads “How do I cancel my booking ?The reply given thereafter reads” please mail us at <[protected]@makemytrip.com>or call[protected] or our toll free number[protected], to cancel your ticket. It further says that “ The individual components i.e. either the flight or the hotel stay cannot be cancelled_ _ _ _”. The E-Ticket emailed by you to my client on 26th Dec.2013 at 16:43 stated “ For Cancellation / Date change uptill 3 hours before departure of flight, please contact MakeMyTrip”. 4) Our client states that on the early morning of 1st January 2014, he realized that he was unwell and had got “flu”, and would not be able to travel to Delhi even though he had a very important matter in the Supreme Court the next day and a conference with his Counsel on the 1st of January 2014. Our client states that he therefore sent an email as mentioned in the Flight + Hotel booking confirmation dated 26th Dec. 2013, to <[protected]@makemytrip.com> at 04.31 hours. Our client states that the email sent read “Kindly cancel my Hotel and Air ticket as I have got flu. Thanks n regards, Sushil Gupta ”. 5) Our client states that at 04.32 hours, i.e. just about a minute later, he got an email in reply, with a ‘Reference no. [protected]’ which read “ Dear Sushil Gupta, Thank you for contacting Makemytrip.com. A reference ID :[protected] has been assigned for your query. You are requested not to change the subject line containing the reference ID when replying to us to serve your better. We will respond to your query within 24 hours_ _ _ _ _ Warm Regards, Team Makemytrip.com”. Our client states that he read this on his mobile phone & went back to sleep. 6) Our client states that he was shocked and surprised when he received an email from one Mr. Sagar Purkait from your Gurgaon office, informing him that only Rs.881/- would be refunded for cancelling the Airline ticket and nil refund for the hotel booking. 7) Our client protested vide his email of the same date i.e. Jan.1, 2014, that he had cancelled the ticket + Hotel booking by sending the email well prior to the 4 hour deadline and that as per the cancellation norm only Rs.1, 053/- for the air line and Rs.250/- for service charge of MakeMyTrip.com should be deducted and balance refunded. And for the h otel booking, the tax amount should be refunded. 8) Our client states that Mr. Sagar Purkait vide his email dt. 2nd Jan.2014, insisted that only Rs.881/- would be refunded. Our client states that he responded by saying that he would approach the Consumer Courts.Our client states that vide email of 7th Jan., 2014, one Ms. Vaishali Sharma from your Gurgaon office informed him that the refund amount would be Rs.1, 481/-.Our client states that no explanation was given as to how the amount was arrived at. 9) Our client states that he is entitled to a refund of the entire Airline ticket less Rs. 1053+250/- as he had sent the email for cancellation within the four hour time limit. Our client states that he is also entitled to refund of taxes on the hotel booking. 10) We hereby call upon you on behalf of and under the instructions of our client to refund within a period of 15 days from date of receipt of this letter, failing which, our clients will be constrained to initiate legal proceedings against you which will be at your entire risk as to its costs and consequences.

              We are sorry to read about the issue.

              In reference to your complaint, please note that cancellation policies were clearly mentioned on the tickets and it states that if Hotel booking is cancelled one day before check in date, there will be no refund. We have already refunded INR 1481.00 ( Taxes ) against the flight booking but for hotel part there will be no refund. We have tried calling the Hotelier to see if he might offer some sort of refund on the booking as an exception but as per them they have a stringent policy and they will not offer any refund on the booking.

              Please find the attached E-tickets which were emailed to guest on 26-Dec-13.

              Under " Important information " section this is what we have
              quoted " Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)"
              " A. What documents do I need for this trip?
              Please carry a print out of this voucher and the flight e-tickets along with an identity proof with your photograph on it.
              B. Do I need to reconfirm my booking?
              No, your booking is confirmed and there is no need reconfirm the same.
              C. How do I cancel my booking?
              Please mail us at [protected]@makemytrip.com or call us at[protected] or our toll free number[protected] to cancel your ticket. "

              Under cancellation policy section below information is listed -

              Flight Policy
              - All purchases are subject to cancellation and date change fees.
              - Once purchased, tickets are non-transferable and name changes are not permitted.

              Hotel Cancellation Policy
              - More than 1 day before check-in date: FREE CANCELLATION. 1 day before check-in date: no refund. In case of no show: no refund. An additional MakeMyTrip service charge of INR 250 will apply
              - If a booking is cancelled or changed by the customer, the hotel will be notified (of the changes) and the original confirmation email and Booking ID that was generated will become null and void.

                Dear sir,

                I have made a online international hotel booking at Langkawi on 7th March 2014 at makemytrip.com for my stay on April 5th 2014 (5nights)

                Total funds debited for my 5night stay: 25465Rs.

                Booking acknowledgment received :NH[protected]

                After this payment i have not received any confirmation mail on my booking, When contact Makemytrip customer care, Head of quality service team they are just saying no such booking is reflecting in their system. I am very much worried & really dont no wat to do.

                How can make my trip say that they have not received my booking ??? even after funds debited from my bank account to MAKEMYTRIP PVT LTD.

                Please some one guide me how to get my money back from these cheaters.

                  Hi, this is viraj suryawanshi. booking id NU2H[protected] its hotel plus booking and it was cancelled by you side due to system error. and they told me to refund money they have traced my call and they told me on 28 feb they had refunded still money are not refunded in my account . i had contacted your senior Sandip, Mukesh, Saurabh and the main one Amit Arora( arora.[protected]@makemytrip.com) he is just making foool of me . I had file a case against you in consumer court pune on 6 feb for the compensation of my amount Rs. 2324 and due to cancel of bus and hotel lossed my buissness of 1 lakh so i had file case for whole 1 lakh plus my refund. If you send my money till today night i can back yhe case else not. thank

                  I had cancelled my Flight Ticket on 17th March, 2014. Till today 14th April, 2014 i didnot get the refund.

                  Makemytrip is cheating people.

                  They are just saying within 4 days they will refund the amount but still no refund has been credited to my bank Account.

                  It is better to prefer Yatra.com or some other website than those cheaters..

                  Will you even refund my amount or just do Timepass

                    Hi, i had booked a hotel via makemytrip on 20th february 2014 for hotel broadway annexe in darjeeling for 21.2.2014 till 24.02.2014. the booking i.d is "IN1402B5S097501". I have paid INR"2673/-" I went to the hotel and found that the mentioned and committed amenitites were not provided to me in the hotel and the makemytrip website shoed wrong nformation about the amenities of the hotel which their executive manik roda also confirmed that i will get a room heater which is included in the price but the hotel people were charging extra for it. since then i had a word with 3 senior executives of makemytrip and all of them accepted their mistakes.they even refused that the amenities are not mentioned in the site for which i had a screenshot and they do have a moneyback guarantee policy if the amenities mentioned are not provided to the customer. Now every three days they are sending me mails just to ask for more days to investigate and it has been around 15 days since i have been sending them mails and calling them. they committed me when i was in darjeeling thaat they will call me but noone ever called me up. they are just sending apology mails every other day to me.they are telling me since 22nd february that their BDM and their nodal and escalation team knows about it but no one gets back to me with a resolution. i got a mail 5 days ago which said that i will get a resolution by 4th march but yesterday i got another mail asking for 3 more days and i replied that i will file a complaint but noone is replying me since then. I have all there e mails where they have accepted their mistake and they do have accepted it on phone calls as well whose details i have given to make my trip long time back.though the amenities were available in the hotel but we did not got them. The company has a full refund policy if the amenities mentioned in the website are not provided in the hotel. I want each and every penny back and also a compensation for ruining my trip and for not providing any after sale service and harrasing a customer by providing faulty information and deceiving customer even for customer support.

                      On 25th feb 2014. I made flight booking for Mumbai to Delhi scheduled for the date 19th June and a return ticket for 21st June from Delhi to Mumbai. I had selected a Go Air flight scheduled for 9;45 Hrs 19th June for the onwards journey and a Indigo Flight for return joruney scheduled for 14:25 Hrs. After selecting the flights i moved onto the next page where it clearly displayed the selections i had made and asked if wanted to avail any discount offer. I moved ahead and finally made the payment. Once the payment was done successfully and amount debited from my account. I recieved a email and SMS from make my trip. To my horror the tickets said that I ahd been booked a Spice Jet flight scheduled 5:55am in the morning on 19th and the return flight which said 5:55 am from delhi on 21st june. I called up the customer care the very next moment and informed them about the mistake made. The guy Mr. Alam Khan said that the company would get back with a resoultion in 72 hrs. 72 Hrs later i had recieved no calll Yet. Realising nobody called back. I again made a call to makemytrip sites mentioned customer care tollfree number. Whihc was recieved by a certain Individual Nitika Chauhan. She listned to my complaint and put me on hold saying that she will check in her system if it was a mistake from their end or my end. Several minutes later. She put me off hold and told me the exact selections that i had made i was relieved. I then asked her whether they would refund the money or book the correct tickets. To which she put me on hold again and when she came back again this time. She bluntly told me that its your mistake and not servers. I was stunned i confronted her and told her that moments ago it was she who gave me the exact selections which she bluntly denied. I asked her to make me talk to her superviser to which she put me on hold again and later said somebody will call you within 6 hrs. I waited for 6 hrs and then a day. After that i called them several times for the same complaint but they have been dodging me saying that i will recieve a call in 6 hrs or in the morning. Neither do i recieve a call nor do i know what to do. Now my money is stuck i have wrong booking and i cant even book new flights since its the month end and all my moentary resources are drained..

                      I do not think you people value your customers. Nor do you care to fulfill your promises. This is the 7th similar reply where you have 'sincerly apologised' in past 8 days though i have got not a single reply or call that resolves my problems. A fake site. Anyways i have learned my lesson. I wanted to get a ladakh tour booked from your site for June. But its better to suffer now then later.

                      This is a a complete fraud. Answer me one thing if i had selected a particular set of flights. Why would your site automatically change it to some other selections and then ask for the confirmation. This is one big scandal so that you can earn extra bucks by first getting the customer to wrongfully book some other flights and later when he realises he has been booked wrong flights he ends up cancelling it or changing it to some other flight time consequently you people earn the cancellation fee of the customer. i had always trusted make my trip expecting it to be a hassle free medium to book tickets. But now i am sure about the fraud you people are. I am gonna move to consumer court and make sure i get paid or the lost money and the mental ordeal i have gone through. Wha did i ask for.. Just that i be booked the correct tickets ? You coudnt care less about you customer

                          Hi Sir/Madam, I have booked a bus ticket via makemytrip from bhopal to pune of 1 feb 2014. when i tried booking first time transaction got successful and also my money got deducted(1400/- INR). But while returning it showed an error that sorry due to technical error can't book your ticket. i thought as its technical error so money is safe, it will be refunded like it use to happen with other travel site irctc and redbus etc. again i tried, again money got deducted but still same problem occurred. After sometime i got 2 mails stating that i have booked two tickets and both are confirmed. I talked to customer care of makemytrip, they said madam there is some technical problem so it happened. He has raised a complaint against one ticket as i wanted only one so he has confirmed one and for one he raised complaint and told to wait for 7 seven days to refund my 1400(which is obviously not a small amount to donate.) IN1401R4S19C711- complaint reference id please note. After that again i tried calling but no response, they said sorry mam for the delay but still its pending.Again they said it can't be refunded. What is this. I don't have patience to call again and again and explain all the story. Please help me out they are not listening.                               Baggage allowance is misleading

                              I bought Qatar Airways ticket to travel from USA to India with an understanding that two bags are allowed. While traveling out o[censored]SA there was no problem but while returning the airline did not allow me to carry the same bags without paying for extra bag. They told me that reservation had entered only 1 bag so Qatar would not give me boarding pass without paying extra $125 + taxes totalling $131. I researched and found that this company...

                              I have been trying to book a bus ticket for the last 3 days on MMT. Due technical glitches from MMT I wasnt able to do the same. The customer care number is also unresponsive. Got a call back from some Shivam guy from MMT. He sent me a payment link. After the payment of 2404 INR. I haven't received the ticket nor is Shivam Answering the phone. Booking id: IN1402B5S038828. Complaint Reference ID[protected]. Shivam's contact number:[protected]. I really surprised how MMT can make online booking such an impossible task. Pathetic customer experience.

                                  The agency is cheating me by not giving my Refund.. Every time I call they put me on hold for hours and give answer as someone will get back me but I don't find any response proper so far. its more than 40 days and being an US Citizen I am really feeling helpless and cheated and I would like to goto US consulate and want to produce this case. If you do not respond I am going to go for compensation too

                                      I had booked 5 bus tickets thro' make my trip from Chennai for 6th January 2014 from Pune to Shirdi and paid on line on 27th December 2013. One day before I received a call from the bus operator that the bus is cancelled and I had to take a taxi from Pune Airport to Shirdi paying Rs.4, 100.00. After several follow-ups i got a ridiculous refund of Rs.300/- whereas it should have been around Rs.2, 500/-. My mails have not proven effective. Can anyone do something about this. Is this how Make my trip makes money? Is there anything we can do to prevent such dubious tour operators? I am fed up and hoping to see a solution somehow. Ganesh Narayanan
