I had booked Vitara Brezza White color ZXI model from Rajrup Motors Junction Bhopal on October 15, 2020, paying INR 5000 as booking advance. The dealer initially promised that the car will be delivered to me by the end of October. However, I did not receive any update from my dealer, and when I called him on November 2, I was told about delay in some process, citing that the car will be delivered to me by Dhanteras festival (November 12, 2020). However, after few days I was told that they won't be able to deliver the car by 12th, but will get it to me by Devutthana Ekadashi (Nov. 25, 2020). Now I received a call from the dealer's boss, saying that they won't be able to get the car to me by next month, and if I am in a hurry, I can purchase a higher version (ZXI+) by paying INR 80, 000 over what was originally discussed for ZXI model.
I have already sold my previous car on Oct. 25 after listening to the commitments from my dealer, thinking that I would be getting my car by 30th Oct. And now it's becoming extremely problematic for my family to manage without a car. My father works in Railways which comes under essential services, and has to travel late night to his office in chilling winter, only because of fake promises made by my dealer.
I do not have any written commitment from the dealer, but have recordings of my telephonic discussions with him, where he assured me through his fake promises. I am stuck with nothing in my hand, and think that this will continue to happen until I purchase that higher variant car from the dealer.
Maruti Suzuki India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
