I went to more supermarket located in nmdc colony (East anandbagh, malkajgiri, telangana - 500047). I have taken 2 units of act-ii popcorn (Buy 2 get 1 free) 3 pack. The price tag on the shelf was showing as rs 47 for 3 pk, but that was for a different variant that was not in stock. The item on shelf did not have a label. I noticed the price after going home. I returned to the store in 15 minutes and asked the sales lady how much she charged for the product. She said it was rs 82 after discount. I told her that the price was mentioned as rs 47. She told that i have to check the product name, not only the price. I told her, it is their responsibility to make sure that the product on shelf has the correct price tag. After some argument she agreed to give a refund. I have taken another 3pk of act-ii popcorn classic salted that was for rs 47 for 3 pack. She refused to give me the balance amount and said they will not refund cash and i have to purchase something else for the balance amount. I refused to do that and asked for a manager. Manager came and asked for the reason. I explained the whole thing, he verified the labels and stock on shelf. He advised the lady to refund cash and take the receipt. Lady at the counter gave me cash and did not give both the receipts. When asked why she is not giving the second receipt, she said they have to send them to the head office as there was a refund done. I told her that they have to take photocopy or duplicate bill, and not avoid giving bills to the customer. When asked how i can complain about the issue she said, there is no way we can complain. The only way to show our dissatisfaction is via the survey machine at the counter and i cannot do it now as the transaction is complete. When asked for invoice number, she said there will be no invoice number. I have taken the receipt from her and noted down the details. She started talking to me rudely that she apologized to me and asked why i am taking the details. The details are as below:

Please train your staff properly about customer service. Educate them about where to find the invoice number, what is the customer care number, what options customer has if they would like to complain. Explain their job role properly and tell them that they have to be polite and nice to customers. Also, tell them that the customer is eligible to get a bill and if they have to process a refund, they should print a duplicate bill or take photocopy of the bill. I wish you take necessary action and train the staff correctly. If such incident repeats again, please remember you will be losing a good customer as there are many other supermarkets available.
