Hi,

I have been chasing nestaway for my refund of my security deposit.

I vacated the flat on 7th October 21, and till now my deposit of some 12, 628 is pending from nestaway side.

After so many followup with the customer support team, they came up with a answer that owner is not refunding his share of the deposit.

After speaking to the owner, he is saying that nestaway is not paying the owner his share of rent and that is why he is not returning the deposit.

I have been chasing nestaway from approx 6 months now, still this has not been resolved.

    I moved out from nestaway property in June 2020. My security deposit was 41000 rs. and after inspection of property they added lots of charges. Its been almost 2 years they have not refunded my money back. They just have a simple answer "SECURITY AMOUNT IS WITH OWNER". But we have paid the amount to nestaway so, why i need to wait for him to pay you back. In my case the owner already unlisted the property saying nestaway is not giving the correct amounts to him. So in this khichdi my money is gone. i am trying to get my money back from nestaway from 2 years. Lots of emails calls but got nothing. This year in Feb 2022 they called and told as owner is unlisted and not giving any money back to them, they will give my money from their pockets. so i was happy thinking finally this nightmare have come to an end but i was stupid thinking they will give the amount that much easily. Again i am sending daily emails and opening tickets but they are not responding on those approvals for my security deposit

      I was promised for a full refund if i stayed for 45 days of notice period. The person incharge failed to inform me about the 6 months mandatory stay policy until I've paid my advance amount of Rs.4000. This feels completely unfair from my side. I will attach a screenshot along with this to prove it. The house isn't provided with any cleanliness factors. There isn't a dustbin provided and the supervisor chose to argue that a dust bin is not mentioned to be provided in the amenity. They need to know how to differentiate needs and wants. And i requested the supervisor to give me a solution about where to clear the dustbins and he says I'm talking too much. Then he complaints that house is dirty too. My job isn't to carry around dustbins and empty them around, i believe. My keys are not given to me. I am said to collect it only when I need them from the person who stays in the building. Even if i pay my rents right i don't get to keep my keys with me. I feel unsafe with my things kept in the room. I'm highly dissapointed with the services. Please help me out in this immediately.

        I moved in to a property on Sarjapur road managed by Nestaway mid of 2019 where there were 2 more girls staying there. From day 1 they havent been supportive or helpful at all. There was no on-boarding or off-boarding that happened for any girls moving in or moving out. The tenant who stayed here for around 5 years moved out end of 2019 and was replaced by another girl. In Jan the owner ended the lease to Nestaway and gave it to me and my family, and the other girls moved out. They deducted almost 29000 in total for all the damages caused by the previous tenants who stayed much before us. Had they did off boarding and did frequent checks this could have been avoided and we would not have suffered a huge loss of our deposit money. The girls moved out on 29th Jan and since then i had to make multiple calls, send multiple messages in a day to get the house cleaned before my family moved in. I was promised all the deep cleaning, painting and repair would be done in one day. In spite of them deducting money for everything I had to book service from urban clap and pay money from my own pockets to at least clean the bathrooms and deep cleaning of one bedroom. After requesting so much 2 guys came to sweep and mop on 1st Feb and they mentioned deep cleaning would be done only after damages are fixed which would take about a week when I was promised everything would be done in a day so that its not a hassle for the next tenants. The owner wanted me to coordinate directly since he does not live here. After so much persuasion they send the painters on 4th Feb. They did a really good job and finished the work quickly. I was told the carpenter would come on 5th Feb and finish the rest. The guy who came (Bharat) is the worst! He had already come for inspection mid of Jan and made the list and he came again on 5th around 12 pm after calling multiple times, asked me to show him the damages again and he said he would bring a carpenter with him. After calling many times he finally came around 3.30 pm only to leave for another 2 hours in the namesake of getting material. Why did he come in the afternoon and take such a huge gap to come again empty handed? By then I was calling the person in Nestaway I was coordinating with for begging for deep cleaning to be done since we wanted to unpack our stuff. I did most of the deep cleaning on my own in spite of them deducting money. He was pretty helpful and responded to all my calls and messages. Around 3k was deducted for the same but then I was informed that cleaning was already done and there was nothing more required. Why lie to me then and deduct money? The entire house was dirty and dusty due to all the painting and repair work. After arguing a team was finally send to do little bit of cleaning. They didn't do the entire house deep cleaning since they were not informed, instead they just did acid wash of the bathrooms, sink and few corners i had asked them to. The cleaning crew was really helpful and did whatever I asked them to but didn't bring the machine to clean the entire floor tiles since they had no information. The carpenter guy came back around 6pm when he should have finished his work and left by then. He was extremely dirty and damaged everything he touched. He had absolutely no idea or no knowledge about the work. Whatever he tried to fix was not working and he did such a sloppy job. Whenever I expressed my concern he tried to justify that he is right and it was supposed to work that way. Finally around 8pm I got so frustrated I asked him to leave. The next day I had to call another plumber and carpenter and spend money again to fix the damages he caused. The house was newly painted and this guy dirtied all the walls. The cleaning crew had cleaned the bathroom and this guy dirtied it again after which I had to do the cleaning all over again. I complained to nestaway to send someone else but he said he is the in charge for this matter. I gave my feedback but they aren't bothered. The nest day on 6th Feb a locksmith came too to fix the damaged locks. He was okay but it was all cheap quality stuff that he fixed and it came out or got spoiled the next day. There was chimney repair left to be done. After so many calls and messages someone came on 7th evening to change the damaged buttons. From the time he came he was just talking and trying to convince us that he could do other types of work rather than do the work he was send to do. Even he did not have the correct spare parts and did such a shoddy work and he tried to convince me to convince the owner to change the whole board that costs around 4k instead of just changing the buttons. Again after so much complaining and persuasion, he said he would go to the shop the next day and be back in 2 days to complete it. He also asked me to lie to Nestaway that his work was complete which I refused to do. He was supposed to come on 9th Feb morning to repair the chimney but never turned up. I have been calling and messaging Nestaway every day regarding this matter and all they do is tell they i would get a call and someone would come over. They deducted 2.5k for the same and they wont return it back either. 15 days have passed and now Nestaway does not even respond any more. I have had such bad experience from them. I don't know whom to contact anymore for this issue to be resolved. After following up I got the deposit money on 9th Feb, again it was send to 1 girl and I had to follow up for 3 days with her to return my share. The entire thing was so stressful.

          Two properties handed to Nestaway.
          a) Not answering calls/ emails. Only sending one way (Auto no-reply) emails for paying them the deposit without inventory analysis or payment details. Never heard from them for almost 10 months and now sending email again for refund without inventory accusing us of being fraud and dishonest without any reference or research.

          b) No rent received and received for 2 on one apartment and other for 4 months.

          c) Raised several service request on Nestaway portal, which they conveniently closed without any response or action.

          d) Both houses were left in pathetic condition. We took custody of houses and we borne much more than these security deposit like entrance door damaged, poked cigarettes on our sofas, broke the cupboard door and other cupboard entire glass door. All railing in kitchen cabinet damaged, knobs and scrapped cabinets, sprayed oil on walls, balcony nets damaged, cots, mattress, pillows torn apart, alcohol bottles filled in the loft and cabinets, kitchen sink damaged, chimney damaged.

          Please help as Nestaway is continuously threatening us. If fact it is that they owe us for such an agreement made with them and the damage caused to our property

            Hi, I am Anju. I moved in to the nestaway apartment in Alpine Viva, Seeagahalli, Bangalore on Dec 2021. By Jan 2022, I received complaint from society manager that there is a water leakage from my bathroom to the apartment downstairs. They checked my bathroom flooring and found that there are gaps between tiles and it has to be covered. They asked me to check with owner and nestaway people to repair the bathroom flooring. I called multiple times both nestaway zonal manager David, nestaway technician Clinton and also the owner of the apartment. No one is responding. I got warning from the society management that they will cut off water connection to this apartment if we don't repair the bathroom flooring soon. I don't know what to do next. I am not getting anyone from nestaway to contact. No responsibility from owner side and nestaway side.

            Also, we don't have door at kitchen side. The house is open all the time. That also is not repaired by nestaway or owner. Nestaway people are so unprofessional and it is very difficult to live here peacefully.

              I moved in a Nestaway peoperty in Wakad, Pune on 13th November 2021. When I moved in the flat there was a pending electricity bill for October and November month. I informed the nestaway team on this and they said they will get it resolved. After 2 months the nestaway agent named Sandeep called me and asked me to pay the entire bill and said the owner will reimburse the amount of the past months. It has been more than a month since I am chasing the Nestaway team but they are behaving very rudely and telling me they have lot of other important work to be done. I paid the electricity bill on 4th Jan 2022 and today is 10th Feb and I have still not received the money from Nestaway/owner. The agent is not answering my calls now and I do not have any details of the owner.

                House no N563.
                Made the final settlement to nestaway after the house offboarding scared us the police complaint if we dont make the settlement. My concern was, will make it after our house is cleaned. But he threatened us. I have to be physically be there to get my house cleaned.
                All the wood work was damaged.
                Dining table and bedside tables stolen and missing.
                Fridge is not working.
                The last electricity bill is not paid. Despite making repeated follow up with offboarding person, he is not getting done.

                    I had vacated my nestaway rented property on Dec 15th, yet the deposit amount after all the deductions are yet to be received by me. I've raised couple of tickets, there is no response on that.

                    Customer care helpline is also unreachable, its has an automated voice stating to follow up on the ticket raised

                      Its been over an year, the security deposit is not credited back!!!
                      Moveout date: Jan 2020.
                      I have been following up regularly since Dec 2021 - Jan 2022. I do not recieve any updates on the case.

                      My interaction with customer service:
                      1. They tell me that the internal team is working on it, and yet there is no update from them.
                      2. They tell there is an issue in Nestaway's backend configuration, because of which the ammount is not getting released. (over 365+ days!!! the amount is still not released)
                      3. Even if the notice period was served (45 days) they are still charging me the fine. There is some internal issue due to which it is showing that the move-out date is before 45 days.
                      4. Inspection is done and the key is also handed over. (over 365+ days!!! the amount is still not released)

                        I moved out of the nestaway property on April 27th, 2021.
                        Till date, i haven't received my security deposit. I have called the customer care more than 30 times and raised multiple tickets but still there is no response.

                        Please do help me in returning my security deposit.

                        It's been more than 8 months and still i have not received my security deposit.

                        I was called from Nestaway and told me that the house inspection was not done since I moved out of the property. It took almost 9 long months for them to do inspection. Finally they processed my security deposit with all the possible deductions from their end.

                          I am the owner of HID 47554 and Nestway had charged Rs. 26500 to the tenant as part of the settlement move out in June 2021. It had been more than 5 months and none of the work is carried out by Nestway even after frequent chasing. Given this I had carried out all the work by myself and asked Nesaway to refund me the amount.

                          After protracted emails/ phones, Nestaway team ([protected]@nestaway.com and suraj.[protected]@nestaway.com) agreed to refund the amount.
                          Every time I chased I was told the payment will be processed this week/ next week etc.. but it is never returned. I am still continuing to chase but there is no more replies. The is highly unprofessional behaviour and amounts to cheating.

                          Will be great if someone looks into this help resolve this issue.

                            Why are still in this business nestaway?? If you're not able to refund our security deposit for more than a year? At least, announce it publicly that you're bankrupt and can't run business. It saves time of many frustrated people like me who lost deposit money. It's been a year and I know you're actively working on my ticket CC_08523544. You said deposit is with owner, owner said deposit is with nestaway and playing game with us. Nonsense. Don't you ashame of yourself running business like this.

                              I recently moved out of Nestaaway homes. Post move out the company has deducted mony citing repair of appliances, however most of them are fabricated charges. Customer care is closing the ticket without any resolution and the area manager doesn't not pick calls. From the online comment, seems this is the common fraudulent practice folleed by this company. Have been running around from customer care to the area manager, but seems there is little effort to resolve the issue.

                                The house was handovered by the site manager in a bad state with the bedroom attached door corroded, living room ceiling lights not working, curtains rods broken in multiple places. I was told the ceiling lights are spoilt and cannot be fixed, bathroom door has to be completely replaced and curtains rods. So as a stop gap a carpenter came and fixed the bottom part of the door with aluminium sheet, lights were not fixed nor the curtain rods. Now when am moving out all this is billed to my deposit, not only that there are several components which were in poor state like the bathroom shower. Its 12+ years old flat with hardly no maintenance by the owner and nestaway is simply deducting the cost from the tenant to do all this.

                                  My refund is still due. The owner has confirmed on the damages and based on which the refund amount had to be revised. I have still not received the same after 20 emails.

                                    Nestaway has absolutely been shoddy. The relationship manager is incompetent and unreachable. the property manager is not responsive. Tenant thrashed the house and vacated with impunity three months back. I had refunded the deposit but the house is yet to be cleaned up of thrash left behind. I have delayed raising a police complaint but not for long. They think money is their only objective.

                                      I am Vartika Agarwal staying in Desai Suites, Channasandra Main Road, Ambedkar Nagar, Whitefield, Bengaluru - 560066. I am staying here from past more than 3 years now and this property is being managed by Nestaway. My current year's Rental agreement was scheduled for renewal on 16 April 2021. I have been paying monthly Rent of Rs. 9731 to Nestaway on time till date but they have not provided me with the renewed Rent Agreement. I raised a complaint with Nestaway to renew my agreement, but even after escalating the issue at several times, there is no response from them. Refer attached photo for the complaint raised. I also tried contacting the Nestaway customer care, but there is no response! Nestaway is very poor in customer grievance redressals.
                                      Because of the poor property maintenance, Desai Suites owner have discontinued Nestaway's agreement and the property is being off-boarded with them currently. Since, September 2021, I have been paying rent to property owner directly. Now, Nestaway is saying that since the property is off-boarded, they cannot provide me the Rent Agreement from April 2021 - September 2021.
                                      I appeal to either get the Rent Agreement from Neataway for a period of 16 April 2021 till 31 August 2021 OR Refund the rent I have paid to Nestaway from April 2021 to August 2021 (Rs. 58, 386).
