Dear sir/madam,
I want to lodge a complaint against ola cabs for not providing the discounts as mentioned in the mobile app for the availed ride. The company is advertising false things and fooling people which further leads to the embarrassment & harassment.
On 3rd oct 2017, i had booked a ride at around 11:30 am from sec-22b, gurgaon to nitikhand-1, indirapuram from ola cabs. The ride was booked for my old aged mother. Booking id - crn[protected].
While booking the cab, i got a pop-up (Image attached) stating “rs. 500 off on your first ride. Code: newrent”. There was nowhere written about “terms & conditions apply” and no asterisk (*) was there.
With such a good discount, i booked a car rent option with the opinion of giving a hassle free travelling to my mother.
On reaching the destination, the driver requested to pay the billed amount of inr 880.
As per the pop-up at ola site, the billed amount should be somewhere around inr 500.
There was huge disappointment & embarrassment for my mother when she had to pay the amount which was very huge & moreover not told earlier at the time of booking.
My mother being the responsible citizen of india did not want to get herself involved in any type of arguments with the driver and paid the amount as said by the driver.
After, she got down from the cab, she addressed this issue to me & that very moment, i had called ola customer care. The representative after listening to the issue promised that his senior executive would call within 3 hours but for 5 hours there was no call back from ola.
Again around 6:30 pm, i made a call to ola, spoke to their executive but did not find any solution.
I request you to please intervene and get me the justice for the harassment faced by my mother and the false promise made by the company at the earliest.
