I introduce myself as Neha Gupta. My contact number is [protected]. I had booked an OLA cab today. The booking number was CRN82197782. The driver's name was Abdhesh Kumar (ph: [protected]) and he was driving a white Tata Indica with the registration number UP16 BT 9299. The pickup time was 8:45 am and the pickup location was Ramprastha Greens, Vaishali.
We were told by the driver that the cab will reach us in 15 minutes. However, when he didn't reach us on time, we called him up. He said he would take another 24 minutes. We were getting late for work, so cancelled the booking and decided to take our own car. We were about to start our journey when we got a call from the driver, who said that he would reach us in 5 minutes.
We thought that considering the driver has already reached, it won't be fair with him if we ask him to leave, so decided to take his cab. When we got into the cab, we told the driver that we had cancelled this booking, so he would have to reactivate it. The driver said that he had not got any message regarding the cancellation. He slowly drove the cab, while speaking to the customer care regarding the booking. We had moved about 1 km from our pickup location, when he stopped to continue speak on the phone regarding this confusion over the booking.
Meanwhile, he started getting messages for some other booking and we started getting messages with some other cab details, though we had not booked any other cab. The driver continued to speak over the phone. We were already late, so asked him to drop us back at our pickup location. He bluntly refused to do so and asked us to get off on the road. We were accompanied by a 2-year-old child, but he did not pay any heed to it. He said I've seen thousands like you, it's my car and I refuse to go where you want me to go. We want strict action to be taken against this driver. His details are already mentioned in the beginning of this complaint.
