OneAssist is a fraud company. I had submitted my claim physical damage on 10th March. The mobile was pick and after receiving estimation for repair, one assist tells me on 24th March that the claim has been rejected under following reason "loss or damage to the Gadget due to mysterious circumstances / disappearance or unexplained reasons"

My question is how can I explain any reason if the phone gets damage when this was in...

This is with reference to the service request number 1783873.

I, Kapil kaushik has taken one assist service insurance for my I phone 5S. On 14th mar 2017 my phone got broke and I had filed my request for the cover and uploaded the required documents on one assist portal. After successful approval of my documents, one of the one assist's official came to collect the damaged phone and assure me to provide a spare phone to me in next 3-4 working days.

On 25th march, I called again and one of the official informed me that my file has been sent to the respective department for approval and in next 7-10 working days I will get approval. I called again and again for the past 45 days every time they told me to wait. They did not provide me even the spare phone till now so that I can continue my sim card. I am highly disturbed and frustrated because of one assist.

Its been more than a month and till now I do not know where my phone is? when will I get my phone? will I get my phone back? or the One Assist just gullible me. I am even happy if One Assist provide me the equivalent amount in place of phone as I will be able to buy a new phone.

    I'm Using HDFC Credit card. Without any intimation you have deducted the amount of Rs.1299 from my credit card

    As last year also i requested you to cancel but you have said that the plan will be cancelled in one year but now it was again repeated and saying that auto renewed without my approval or even not intimated .

    Kindly cancel this plan and request you to refund the amount of Rs:1299.This is unacceptable that you have been repeating the same.

      Hi All,
      It's been more than two weeks registered a claim, but no information on picking up the device every other day I get a mail satting to upload the docs. Already all the docs are uploaded.
      There is an internal damage in my mobile and it's been clearly mentioned to there representative. But every alternate day I get a call to uplaod the pics of damaged part.
      I don't understand what they are expecting.

        They have taken money...so that my mobile will be protected against screen, liquid damages. They are calling me daily 5 times. Atlast they persuaded me and succeded to take oneassist insurance plan. My mobile screen broken. But they rejected my claim stating that it was my negligence to take care of my mobile.           My claim request has been rejected by the company stating not proper care was taken. How the company knows I have taken proper care or not. It is an accidental damage and company has to approve my claim. What is the use of taking a protection plan if the company can reject the claim as they want.

            Even after repeated calling and requesting the customer care and senior executive the claim was not registered. it is highly frustrating and seems the company is deliberately delaying the process as the insurance is nearing its expiry. absolutely no regard for customers. very bad reviews . i would never buy this product again and infact would never recommend anyone to opt for this company.

              Mi phones are awesome, but never expected such a worse customer service of oneassist(Insurance company). My device got damaged by liquid spill then I registered my complaint and oneassist executive came and collected the handset. I got a mail that my complaint is registered on 26 december. ..then on 26Jan I got an email saying my mobile has got repaired and will be delivered within 7 days. I had been 3 months now. I didn't get my mobile. Now when ask them for my mobile update, they are saying that It didn't get repaired in first attempt and second rounds. How pathetic??? I think the plan is to say that my mobile didn't get repaired after 2 attempts and the cost exceeded the limit. Finally just before 15 days oneassist Relationship manager Mary assured that they decided to go for cash compensation and I will receive cheque in 4 working days. Since 15 days she is not responding to my emails, calls…I warned her of filing a case against her but of no use. Oneassist is a big fraud company.

              I request to pay or get my device replaced as early as possible. I used the device only for 45 days.Kindly respond.

                Dear Sir/Madam
                I handed over my damaged device(Redmi Note 3, Silver colour, 16GB) to OneAssist on 26th of January and I have still not got back my device.
                The customer service is so pathetic that they neither provide any update nor any assurance. The is no mail or phone calls regarding the status and whereabouts about the progress or my device. From the past 15 days they have just been extending the due date and are expecting me to have patience. 28th of March was last due date and when I called yesterday, still the customer service agent could not assure me whether they had received the device from the authorized service centre or not. This kind of harrassment and negligence has become intolerable now and is getting on my nerves.
                I just want back my device irrespective of it being repaired or not. I feel utterly disgusted with such a kind of careless attitude.
                So I request you to do the needful as soon an possible and oblige.

                After a lot of hustle and regular calls I did get back my phone. Happy to get it back repaired and in a proper working condition. But the experience was not at all pleasant. After regular complains and calls the company finally did return back the phone. I hope so this hustle and bitter experience can surely be avoided in future.

                Even I am extremely sorry but I am no more interested to know about you or your team being sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please keep your diplomatic and system generated emails to yourself.
                Your team should by now already be aware of the unbearable problems that I am facing because of you all. I do not have anymore patience left to wait. I want an action asap and an assurance mail that I will be getting back my mobile within a specified date as soon as possible. And if the mobile is out for delivery send me the consignment number.
                I believe corporates like you all can be a bit more helpful and responsible in dealing with their customers. Please do the needful and oblige.

                28th of March was the last due date that was provided to me. Today is 30th and so I called up the customer care service and it is extremely disturbing to know that even now your team has no clue or update about my mobile. Again I was told that the mobile is under repair and I need to wait for more 48 hours until any further update. This same nonsense has been continuing for the past 15 days.

                Today when I asked your team to provide me with information on the authorized service centre where my phone has been send for repair or the job sheet number, even then your utterly helpless team could provide me with nothing.

                This has now crossed all limits. I can not bear with the pathetic and disgusting situation anymore. I want a more prompt and compact reply. I want my mobile back as soon as possible with no more further delay.

                I had again called the OneAssist customer care and this time I got to know that the due date has now been changed to 7th of April. First 16th of March, then 28th of March and now 7th of April, what kind of nonsense is this?

                I am being continuously tortured and depressed because of your ignorant and ruthless attitude. I feel cheated now. It does not take two and a half months to repair a broken screen, so stop giving the bogus reply of non-availability of spare sparts at the service centre. You all are a disgrace on the name of customer service and welfare.

                Please I request you to stop playing with the hard earned money, time and emotions of your customer. Please save me from this torture and return me my mobile asap. I can not bear it anymore and it is making me mentally depressed.

                Please I hope for a prompt action and a quick breakthrough from this worse situation.

                  On 20th March 2017 I have got SMS about deducted 1299.00 for ONE ASSIST MFEE from my credit card. I have called & emailed several time to ONE ASSIST & your bank customer care but no one taking care of my request to refund my money.

                  ONE ASSIST guys saying me they have not received any amount till from HDFC bank credit card. But I can see debited money in to online banking; I have attached credit card deduction screenshot for your information.

                  Also I have called HDFC bank customer care on 20th March 2017 & raised complaint about this deduction & they have told me to we have raised complaint about refund my money within 7 days. But as if now no refunded my money.

                  This is my humble request to you guys please refund my money with immediate effect & please please don’t auto debit any money from my credit card in future.

                  As per your information I have already blocked my credit card because of this all issue. If you are not able to refund my 1299.00 which is debited without any notification & intimation to me, then I will also close my bank account soon.

                      Hi Team,

                      I bought an iPhone on 20-Sep[protected]/-) with an insurance plan covering accidental and water damage (MA Damage Protection Plan 15K-25K) with it from One Assist worth Rs. 1799/- (100% cashless).
                      I was told while buying the plan that in case of any damage I will have to inform One assist and they will take my phone and submit it to authorized service center and on the basis of estimation they will take further action like if the damage would be less than 80% then my handset will be repaired or if the damage will be more than 80%( BER/Total loss) then company would provide replacement for the same. (and no excess charges will be taken from me as it was 100% cashless service) and meanwhile they will provide me a courtesy handset.

                      So, after using phone for around 4 months and few more days. My phone fell on a floor in office in Feb. means accidental damage happened.
                      so next day I called One Assist and informed for the same.
                      Now as per the process they told me to submit all the required documents on the tool and told me the whole process. and they clearly said that if it would be repairable, company will repair it else they will replace it.

                      So I submitted my phone to one assist (delivery guy) but they did not give me any courtesy phone, for which I contacted them at customer care and they said request has been raised but till today I didn't get any courtesy handset.

                      Anyways. After some time I got a mail that service center has provided estimation amount as 22075/-. and now the approval is pending with insurance team.
                      After delaying for long, they arrive at a decision of paying me 15246/- as a settlement amount. and saying that market value is lower than invoice amount so they are giving me this amount after deducting 4750/- as depreciation and excess amount.
                      Also, they mentioned wrong detail in mail saying my handset purchase date is 1/09/2016 and date of damage is 27/feb/2017.

                      I am attaching invoice to show that date of purchase was 20 Sep 2016 not 1 Sep.
                      and date of damage is 27 Feb 2016.

                      After asking so many time with one assist, they are saying it is insurance company decision and they can not do anything.

                      I should have gotten a replacement. I am not satisfied with this at all.
                      They have started ignoring my case and telling me either take money or your damaged piece.

                      They are trying to save their money by giving me this amount.

                      Please help.

                      I am very disappointed. And being pressurized by One assist to either take cash benefit of 15246/- or damaged piece.

                      And in fact under this pressure, I would say under this torture I even dropped a mail to them that I will accepting cash as I couldn't do anything.
                      but now I have read all the terms and conditions again and realized that I am really correct and their customer executive told to me as well that if damage would be more than 80% then you will be getting a replacement.

                      So now I have dropped mail them to give me my replacement not cash benefit.

                      I want my replacement asap.

                      Here is the latest update.

                      My claim officer (Afroze) called me today and said I have only two options, either I take cash benefit or damage piece.

                      To which I clearly replied that I want my replacement and if these are your only two options then fine I am going to take 3rd option (which I really didn't want) consumer court. But since I have no options left because of your false promises, and one sided decision. I am going to fight for my rights.
                      I don't see this case going anywhere. I have even requested to connect me with insurance department but you people didn't entertain it saying it is their decision and i can not be allowed to connect with them directly.

                      Also, please note. while I was just typing this complaint, I just got a call from your department (Name of person who called: Shinelle) (spelling of name could be wrong) and she was asking me that if I have received my handset or not..!!! what the hell?? Did you guyz try to tell me that you have sent my handset to me with your own decision.

                      I will not accept the handset at any cost.

                      Either ask your team to take the right decision else I am not going to take this torture anymore.

                      This has been already delayed and I do not care if it gets more delayed because of consumer court. I will take the initiative to go there if you do not give me the replacement on time.

                      First of all, when I was buying the plan, the sales person clearly told me that in case of accidental damage/BER i.e when repair cost is more than 80%, insurance team provides the customer with replacement handset and excess amount around 10% is given b customer, rest company bears all the expenditure.
                      Also, After submitting my handset to your company, during the follow up calls, your customer care executive told me the same and in my case I do not have to pay excess amount also, as mine is 100% cash less service plan.

                      Second of all, The amount you are offering me is very less as compared to the sum insured. Also you are cheating on me by deducting depreciation @20% on market value, which should have charged on invoice value as per the terms and conditions.
                      I have communicated and showed the snippet of terms and conditions to Afroze over mails to which she has not responded till now.
                      Also, none of your team member is letting me connect to the insurance department as I want to know the breakup of the refund.

                      and I have started feeling that you people are just fooling around thinking that you'll just waste my time and I won't do anything.
                      I sincerely request you to take proper action on this and provide me the replacement. else I am not going to believe in your replies and anymore and will submit my complaint in court before this week ends.

                      Hey Team and all the users who visit this page, must read this.

                      This company is such careless that after requesting so many times they neither replied nor took any action on my complaint.

                      So I went to the consumer court on April 2017 and fought this case legally. there also they didn't show up and ultimately after giving all the proofs to judges. I won this case on 23 April 2018.
                      after winning the case, I did exactly what the court member told me to do..i.e. I mailed them the court order copy and they are ordered to either repair my phone to my satisfaction or will refund the money along with litigation amount, but still these people are not taking action on that mail. they just sent automated replies that they will get in touch in 48hrs but they never do. My iphone 5S is with them for more than a year now and they are just chilling. I really request other people please be careful when you buy plan from such a irresponsible company.

                      Anyway.. I am here pasting the images of court order and you people can see how ireseponsible this company would have been that they didn't even have a courage to come in court and now that I have won the case they are not even replying. if anybody want I can show you full email communication with this company that how easily they get away with them like nothing happened.

                        मेने 17 दिसम्बर 2017 को मेरे मोबाइल का बीमा one assist कम्पनी से ऑनलाइन करवाया था जिसके मेने 934/- रूपये online पेमेंट किया था और उसके साथ उन्होंने कही लुभावने वादे किए की आपका अगर फोन दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो जाता है तो आपका मोबाइल आपके घर से पिकअप किया जायेगा साथ ही आपको एक सहायक मोबाइल भी उपलब्ध कराया जायेगा परन्तु मेरा मोबाइल जब दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुआ जिससे वह सिर्फ कोने पर पर से थोड़ा डैमेज हुआ था तो बड़ी मुश्किल से उन्होंने मेरा मोबाइल 21फरवरी2017 पिक किया और सर 2 बार मेरा अकाउंट बिना किसी कारण के बंद कर दिया फिर मेने बड़ी मुश्किल से re open करवाया और पिकअप के कुछ दिन बाद 10 मार्च 2017उन्होंने मेरे को सूचित किया कि आपका क्लेम रिजेक्ट कर दिया हे और आपका unrepair मोबाइल 7-10 दिन में मिल जायेगा परन्तु वो मुझे 27 मार्च को मिला और मिला भी तो ऐसी स्थति में जो में सोच नहीं सकता उसकी पूरी स्क्रीन डैमेज थी बॉडी खुली हुई थी जब इस बात की सुचना मेने कंपनी को दी तो वो इस बात की जिम्मेदारी उठाने को बिलकुल तैयार नही है जबकि सभी सबूत मेरे पास मौजूद है यहां तक की मेने मोबाइल पिक करने वाले को पूरा मोबाइल चैक करवाया था और जब मुझे मिला तो मैने बॉक्स को ओपन करते हुए भी पूरी स्थति को कैमरे में रिकॉर्ड कर लिया था अतः आपसे निवेदन कर रहा हु की कृपया करके मेरा साथ दे में बहुत परेशान हु में आपसे वादा करता हु की मेरे पास वो सब सबूत मौजूद है जिससे मेंरा केस मजबूत होगा अतः में आपसे इस केस को हैंडल करने के लिए नम्र निवेदन करता हु और आपसे निवेदन करता हु की मेरी समस्या का समाधान करे में आपका बहुत बहुत आभारी रहूंगा

                          I having insurance of my handset redmi note 3. and as my handset got damaged, i complained for it to oneassist on 16 feb and they register complained and i have submitted documents whichever required. they send claim form with wrong name instead of dharmender pandit they send in the name of Rajiv garg pandit, i asked for it but they said there will no issue for it. my handset is insured in the name of dharmender pandit. after 15 days when i called to customer care they said that insurance company decision is pending and they asked the claim form again with signed name dharmender pandit. i did it thrice, first two times to person of oneassist "bhimsen.[protected]@oneassist.in" second "[protected]@oneassist.in. still they haven't not got claim sanctioned from insurance co. so i requested to return my phone without repaired, they are not hearing me and saying wait till decision is pending from insurance co. it passed more than one and half month. my customer id is 975518. registered phone no is [protected] and email id is [protected]@yahoo.com. my request no is 1775777.

                              Hello team,

                              Please help me to get my phone back from this fraudulent company. They have received my handset under insurance on 3rd February and claim for repair was fully accepted on 10 Feb.
                              Company told to wait 15 days and keep on saying wait for some days. They initially gave 10 Mar as due date which as per company rule They have to deliver within 48hours from due date. Company changed the due date to 18th then again to 28th March.

                              By talking to consumer executive I came to know the service center where my phone is given for repair. Anyhow talking with them I came to know that all spare parts are ready and phone is repaired in 2 working days after receiving the payment. Payment is not received for your phone yet.

                              Company is constantly telling me that due to non availability of spare part there is delay but actually is the non payment. Company contacts are hardly reachable and non trustworthy people after giving two times again they are telling me to wait. My handset is repaired by the service centre already just after completion of payment receipt they can deliver the handset to me. Oneassist are constantly saying they are following up but no final date confirmation given for my handset delivery.

                                    I had taken an Insurance with OneAssist for my iPhone 7 with membership ID: [protected] on 27th Dec 2016 this covered accidental and liquid damage of handset for 1 year(2 times claim can be done in a year), 12days guaranteed returned of the handset(once it has been sent for claim) and temporary handset to be provided by the company when the claim is raised. When i asked what are the exceptions for which the claim will not be accepted i was told that if damage was caused by sea-water, or if damage is caused by any kid in the house(as they don't know the value of the phone) it will not be accepted for claim, which was ok with me and i took the insurance.
                                    On 18th Feb 2017 in the afternoon, i was taking a nap and my phone as usual was kept besides my pillow(all my phones till now were kept there only) and when i was in sleep, somehow my hand struck the phone and it fell down from the bed(which is very well padded and about 1 foot from the ground). This woke me up and when i saw the glass of the phone was broken, i even had a tempered glass on but still it got damaged(the glass had cracked) but everything else was working perfectly fine. So i raised an claim request to one-assist the same day at around 8:30 PM. My claim was acknowledged by the customer care executive and i was told to give submit some forms which had the description of the damage and some pictures of the damaged product and my identity proof. I submitted everything, then i received an mail on 20th Feb 2017 that my documents were verified and an executive will come and pick up my phone, at that time i had requested for an temporary handset as it was there in my policy. The pick up was scheduled and the respective person came on 22nd Feb 2017 to receive my phone, but at that time he did not get any temporary handset, i called the customer care and i was made aware then that my request was not at all submitted for temporary handset, and i was told only at that time that the temporary phone will be given after 3-4 working days. I tried convincing the customer care but it was of no use, so i gave my phone and waited for the temporary handset to arrive. I did not get any updates and i kept on calling each day for updates, i was assigned to a relationship manager who did not pick my phone half of the time, so i had to call the customer care number instead every time and explain the whole situation again and again. So the 3-4 working days policy as i was told to receive the temporary handset did not get followed and after much follow up and argument i finally received the temporary handset on 3rd march 2017. Although i received it, someone else's iCloud account was logged into the phone and i was not able to download any of my required softwares, i called the relationship manager(MS Afroze Vastani) again and i was told that an technical guy will call and guide me for the same, but again i did not get any call..and after much investigation on google i found out an solution and added my iCloud account.
                                    Then i was waiting for an update on my phone for which the claim was initiated, again there was no reply or updates from anyone on OneAssist and i called them everyday for the same. Then i was told that my claim request has been forwarded to the insurance team and are waiting for them to approve the claim. I waited to get some updates for the same but did not get any once again. I tried calling the assigned relationship manager but she never picked my call. So now it was 9th march 2017 and i still did not get any update and i was guaranteed an 12 days service guarantee(it was the 11th working day). So i tried the customer care and raised an issue and was again told to wait. On 10th march 2017(12th working day after my phone was submitted, the day i should have got the replaced phone) i still did not get any reply so again raised an issue with the customer care, and then at around 8PM i got a call from the corresponding department of the company that my claim has been rejected by the insurance company on ground of "Loss or damage caused by incorrect storage, wilful negligence (No proper care of handset has not been taken by insured to safeguard the property)" I tried to understand from the lady who told me this that how do they categorise negligence and accident, and as per the lady i was told that as i did not keep the phone in a safe place(according to them) it is negligence and that i should have kept it in a drawer(completely baseless argument) and that if i would fallen from a bike and the phone would have been damaged it would have been accident (examples provided by them). i was completely unhappy with this as it was really baseless how they categorised accident and negligence, and also that i was told about this at the end of the 12th working day by when i should have got the repaired/replaced handset back as per the policy of the company. i raised my disapproval with the insurance company's decision and was advised to write an mail to the complaint department of the company, which i did on the same day.i Wrote an mail explaining my concern and giving proper definition of 'negligence' and 'accident' and how my incident was an accident and not any case of negligence. Then i got a call from my relationship manager that my mail was considered and sent back to the insurance company for re-consideration. As it was weekend and HOLI on 13th March, so was not a working day for them, I got a call on 14th March 2017(which was my birthday) again by some agent at and 12 PM stating the same thing that my insurance claim was rejected(which i was already informed) and according to him no further claim was done after that(which was contradicting what i was told earlier). First of ally did not get any updates in the proper time ever by the company, and when my insurance was rejected(which according to me was on complete baseless grounds), and then i get a call again that my insurance was rejected(twice the same call, even after the further action was already done by me). I was really frustrated by this and had an argument with the agent. Then i called the customer care again at around 2PM with my queries and was told that the agent did not had knowledge and may not have checked the proper updates that the claim had been reopened before calling me. I was furious as i still did not get any updates on the follow up from the insurance company regarding the reopening of the claim. Then again same thing followed for about 4 days and i did not get any updates, i kept on calling the customer care for updates and finally got my unrepaired hand-set on 17th march 2017(17th working day after my phone was submitted, about 1 month counting all days). And still no updates on the reopening of the insurance claim. Then finally i got a mail yesterday on 24th march 2017 that my claim was rejected with the same description for rejection as earlier "Loss or damage caused by incorrect storage, wilful negligence (No proper care of handset has not been taken by insured to safeguard the property)".
                                    I am really unhappy with the company's performance and ability to handle the claims. Also the response from the customer care is really not satisfactory and they call me without having the latest updates. I still don't agree with the rejection of my claim on baseless grounds. I am attaching the mail that i had sent the company for the re-opening of my claim request. Also attaching the policy details which clearly states issue resolution in 12 working days.
                                    The overall experience with the company has been really bad and i really hope that my case will be considered and i get my phone repaired as i deserve with respect to my policy and what i was promised, and proper follow up to be done how the company with out any investigation can decide whether my case is negligence or accident.

                                      Respected sir/madam rs1799 deducted from my Axis bedit card on 24/03/2017 for debit card protection plan which i never asked and no body contacted me to take permission regarding this i do not want this plan . Please cancel it and refund rs1799 my relation ship number is 1849036. Please take needful action to refund my money

                                      Why one assist customer care team not answering calls ?? Is is fraud company ?? I also received call from one assist and they just given information about one assist plan after than they automatically activated this plan and deducted rs-1799/- from my saving a/c. Without my permission. I don't need this plan actually. Please deactivate this plan and refund my money ..
