Hi,

I would like to share my experience of my stay with family at Oyo Townhouse 079, Sector 46 in Gurgaon.
I understand that OYO has been claiming that Townhouses have been their premium segment properties but my experience has been the worst of its kind. This was unexpected especially due to the fact that I had booked it for my family and everything from the point of start till the end, every bit of detail makes me wanna never go back to an OYO again. Below is the description of my stay from the initiation till the very end. Please note that the incidents are mentioned chronologically:
Check-in was denied to my Mom who had been staying at OYO's in Delhi for the 2 preceeding days. The receptionist without even an attempt to help in the weather that was so bad, denied checking due to non availabilty of Adhaar Card. Now I know that adhaar card fopr you guys is a compliance issue, but their should be an attempt to help right? is it too much to ask? A plain refusal to provide check-in is an utter intent to refusal of help even when we repeatedly requested to be allowed us to check-in and we surely will provide you gthe adhaar card later in the day. Please note that the Adhaar card problem was only for one person out of the three.
On speaking to the supervisor, Mr. Dharamveer, he understood the problem like a gentleman and later the check-in was provided to us. However, it was me who insisted on speaking to the supervisor as against him with a simple statement that ("Let me speak to my supervisor as to what can we do to help").
The elevator was not functional. We had our luggage to move in an the fourth floor of the town house but the lift was non functional. Although, it was evident that the receptionist was working to solve the problem but ultimately its the customer who has to climb the stairs with the luggage.
The elevator scenario made us walk to the fourth floor of feet which was fine with us as a one time problem. We as a family do understand the hassles of running a hotel and immediately agreed to leave the luggage downstairs at the reception which so the staff could later shift the luggage to our room when the elevator would start working again.
The room linen was dirty below the blankets/covers. There were hair strands on the bed and the linen was very evidently dirty. On informing the reception about it, his first statement was "Aisa Kaise Ho Sakta hai Sir" and then said "theek hai mai ladka bhejta hoon". And the staff later replaced the linen.
After 2 hours of rest when even the elevator was working, I called up the reception to remind them about sending our luggage to the room to which they said yes, after almost 15-20 minutes of waiting I had to go downstairs myself to get the luggage. They kept saying "Sir, Ladka nahi aaya hai abhi".
The commode jet did not have the sprayer to it so it was completely non functional. The jet and effectively the Toilet commode was non usable. On informing the receptionist about it, they just remained silent and it reciprocated not will to even take a look at thye problem. How are we suppose to use the toilet when there was not jet to clean-up and 2 of the three o[censored]s were Fe-males?
Subsequently, there was no bucket and mug in the washroom which was delivereed to us 20 mins after we informed the reception.
The shower was non functional. There must have been some plumbing equipment related issue but in a bathroom that did not have the proper Jet-spray, bucket and mug, the absence of shower just added to the misery.
There were no water bottles in the room, in the summers of Delhi-NCR, imagine going to a premium hotel room (As per OYO Standards) and find no water bottles in the room with two different glasses.
On asking for water bottles, the staff redily bought two bottles to us and we showed the guy the jet spray in the room. He took an initiative to repair it and bought a new jet spray, which we asked him to repair later after we were gone because we we getting late for a show that night. He agreed to our request but then he never got back and it remained unrepaired till the next morning despite us leaving the key at the reception.
To add to all of this, even the main door of the room wasn't getting locked. We had a lot of important stuff and luggage in the room and had to leave it like that ultimately because the hotel staff wouldnt do anything about it and also because the show was important and we had prior family commitments to take care off.
The next morning, my mother had asked for a tea at around 9 am. A cup of tea is the most basic part of at least 80% Indians around the globe bugt it took them more than an hour. The reception had to be reminded again of the tea that is ordered and the only response was "Bas bas madam chai aa gayi". In frustration, the chai had to be cancelled because we had to check out.
I'd like to applaude that the Breakfast was good and clean. The only good thing about our stay.
The elevator was again non functional at the time of check-out the video for which has been attached. The luggage had to be carried downstairs but a couple of staff and myself via stairs.
After enduring all of this, at the time of check-out the least that the hotel staff could do was to at least apologies when we were vocal about the kind of service that we went through. Mr. Dharamveer instead of even hearing the situation, called us on our favor. I'm mentioning his words categorically and specifically: "Kal Jab Appko Check-in Chahiye Tha Tab Aapka Tone Different Tha".. and the conversation turned into a heated argument where-in we argued that a favor in check-in doesnt give the Hotem Staff the right to provide us with a service such as ours. And instead of admitting of all the dificiencies and apologizing, he repeatedly said the same statement. And he denied that the room wasnt bad and etc etc..
On warning him about thew stern action that we would take, he said the following: "While providing feedback, mera naam zaroor mention kariyega, mera naam hai Dharamveer"

All of this when we have been using the OYO facilities fir the Three preceeding days, the ID's for which I can send to you guys upon request.

I would now request the Oyo Management to take some strict action and make it evident to me and my family because if the said things are not enough for you guys to take an action then I'll have to figure out other ways.
I am attaching proofs as photographs and videos of everything that I have just stated above.

No calls or any sort of communication and contact is made. I have not been con tacted by anybody in the matter! So i guess OYO is not responsive and dependable on this forum too!

Hi again,

I'm humbled by a response from your end finally. Atleast something worked that I finally got a response from the OYO Team.
However, I am not completely satisfied with the resolution. I did not write to OYO Authorities the numerous email trails and escalated the issue on this social media platform to get a mere 18% refund. I would like to again inform you that my family which included a mother and a young sister did not have to go through the kind of treatment and service but they unfortunately did. I would again ask for someone from the management team to give me a call and would further claim damages and compensation for the kind of behaviour shown. Is that what OYO class is?
I would like to inform you that my next step would be to bring this issue to light on social media [Twitter and Facebook] and writing emails to the higher authorities if need be. I will post all the videos and pictures on both the platforms and will even take this up legally till I dont get a satisfactory resolution.

    Hello!! Myself ashwani bhatia, first time booked oyo room by downloading the oyo app from mobile. Have made the booking dated 23/07/19 and got the confirmation from [protected]@oyorooms.com that oyo 14482 live inn has been reserved under your name. Booking id: zkte4139 and amount rs. 750 was deducted from my own card.

    Reached to the landmark amiown school at sector 27, gurgaon. The number mentioned on the booking [protected] of mr. Kundan rawat was not answering the calls., get to know left and no longer associated with the same property for almost an year. Very importantly oyo has not checked with the property owners whether the number listed on their booking does exist or not & updated numbers should be uploaded.
    Try n understand on the road by 11 o'clock, the property not located and customer care representative also tried to support and on call with for almost 33 mins. Based on confirmation was shifted to another property, oyo 9299 dlf phase 4, however due to rude behaviour of manager on line has refused and said no electricty here. That booking also not confirmed and imagine by 0000 hrs on road. And at last made another booking oyo 15685 grace room, the gate was not opened and no one came out.

    At last made check in to grace inn near to grace room @ sector-28 for almost rs. 1, 200.

    And have shared my worse n terrible experience with oyo. My first experience neither customer care was supportive, booking team which cant even speak clearely some untrained staff were on board n calling the customers, annoying the customers. At last by 0130 hrs called dated 24/07/19 the senior team neither supported nor any respond at their end of the experience.

    Today im getting msg how was your experience with oyo. When customer/client has not checked-in and oyo team aware that customer is facing too much problems still getting msgs.

    And at-last it give an impression that oyo group is not bothered of its unsatisfied customers and no syncronisation with various internal teams. And have also left message that someone should call n respond to it. Till now before posting this msg/terrible experience no one contacted.

    Can also provide the screenshot of interaction with customer care team and the duration of time spent for more than 1 hour plus in the late hours.

      I have booked a room at kanchipuram for 22nd july 2019 under booking id xgrz4712 on 09.07.2019 on the hotel name "spot on 43989 perfect stay (Vela complex, alias balaji residency, hotel surya veg, kanchipur, tamilanadu state" on making payment thorough online basis for an amount of rs.804/-. But, later it was shifter to another hotel named as m/s. Aks inn, which was 5 kms far away from my previous booking hotel perfect stay (Vela complex, alias balaji residency, hotel surya veg, kanchipur, tamilanadu state by escalating price of rs.3, 583/- more than 5 times of price paid for earlier hotel under the same booking id: xgrz4712 on 20.07.2019, while we were enroute to kanchimpuram from mandamarri, mancherial dist., telangana state. The same issue has been represented to your customer care no.[protected] as well as to call centre [protected] on the same day. But the problem has not yet been solved. Due to which i have to forced to pay current charges of local hotels to visit athi varadar perumal swamy at kanchipuram. It was very inconvinient to my family on the preprogrammed tour and caused anxiety and distrubance of mood. I had also lost my movey paid for booking the hotel and loss of time & communication to your people. But no vain.

        I am booking a hotel from oyo app. I have follow all process. Then i get a confirmation message.
        But the problem is that when the girl about to reach your hotel.. Just few minutes ago i getting a call that there have some problem. But the actual problem is that *money*.
        If any thing wrong with that girl who will be reach your hotel after few minutes who will take responsibility for this. Where she will go for found a room at midnight.
        Is money everything for your hotel? Is this your culture. You people are not thinking about girl safety. Shame on you all people. I will do it a police complaint against this also will do consumer complain.

          Hi team,

          Regarding my last stay in oyo rooms which i booked my stay in chinnamon homestay booking id - pvrt5301. I had a stay at the hotel from 20/07/2019 to 21/07/2019.

          We faced multiple issues in our stay and it was a pathetic stay. Following are the list of troubles faced in the stay-
          -the attended came 1.5 hrs after we reached and called him. We were waiting in rain.
          -there was no electricity. Whole night we suffered without electricity.
          -there was no wifi, no tv recharge.
          -insects were there. No precautions were there.
          -nobody was there to attend and no security. As the location was in middle of jungle and that was elephant roaming area.
          -washrooms were dirty, the commode was broken and there was a leakage in commode.

          Many more which can't be described. The stay was very pathetic and whole night we were praying to god that night passes smoothly.
          It was a very worst experience.

          I want refund for the stay as it was not worth it. Whatever was mentioned while booking was not fulfilled. There was network connectivity issue else i would have complained at that time only. Kindly do the needful as i don't want loose trust from oyo rooms.

            🙏 please guys I am strongly informing you please dont book rooms for your valuable customer/guest through OYO rooms.
            Because the reason is you will definitely lose your valuable customer from OYO service.😠
            I already facing the problem. from OYO I lost my big customer and company incentive as well.
            OYO* treated me and my customers in very low and rude talk and wrong information and guidelines.

              I am akshay singh customer of oyo since last 5 months continuously staying at oyo property 16665 falgship at hinjewadi. Before few days property was so good to stay, but now since past around 20-25 days staff has been changed and property has become a worst place to stay as the behaviour of staff is very rude and they demand money unethically... As i dont even have check in for 2 days but they are asking me to pay for those days also.. And i have refused to pay for their demand then they have declined a check-in for me. After contacting with oyo customer service they have tried to resolve an issue by calling up property manager but he havent even recieved a call by the customer services but he have gave that call to his assistent to talk with and infront of their customer service he has declined a future check-ins of my bookings. Now i demand a compansation from oyo as they have disrespected me bytheir employees or i want to take a strict action against this property by oyo.

              I have booked oyo 13490 hotel Aniket Bihta Bihar
              confirmation no. [protected]
              pin 3163 dated 16.07.2019 but when guest went there hotel manager said "All room are full we have no empty room" and my guest were mistreated by hotel management. even customer care did not give proper response
              i want to take legal action against oyo and hotel owner

Nd customer feedback are send hotel person itself during checkout time.my booking I'd is PAEX7316. In room no telephone no AC remote . Not good complimentary breakfast only batata puwa are available.. No cleaning are available in room..

                I booked an oyo room (Lksm2813) from oyo app. I wantr=ed to book it on 19/06/19-20/06/19. I booked on dated 19/6/19 early morning 00.59 (Am) so that i can check in by 12 in the noon. At the time of booking, it showed as today and by mistake, i choose the option, today after payment and booking did. I got to know that the booking date was 18/06/19 - next day.

                On that moment itself, i called the oyo customer service and asked for help, they asked me to book another room so that they can refund the amount on my paytm account as i've paid through this. And i did another booking (Booking id - ugpc3241) as per their advice.

                Its been 30 days since my booing, i haven't received any refund on my account, i called them many times on their customer care number and i am getting a very bad response from their team, even from their escalation team too. They are saying excuses all the time and not returning my money back.

                Today,[protected], i called them and one mr. Shiv (Asst. Manager) assured me again wait for some more time and they are going to resolve it soon. I lose my hope. They are literally exploiting the customer.

                I have booked Oyo 14908 Chirag Residency Delhi from 1.7.19 to 2.7.19. On arrival I was denied room due to over bookings. I have to book nearby hotel and have to pay hefty charges.                   I had booked a hotel at allahabad for my two days stay at hotel oyo riash located on vivekananda marg, allahabad, for the 11/07/2019 to 12/07/2019, two rooms and 4 guests. We reached there by uber spending 300 rupees and when we checked in the hotel, the hotel staff refused us rooms stating that the price at which i had booked the hotel was low and they cannot give me rooms. I said then why you did not cancel the booking so that i would have booked some other hotel, i have come with my family and spend 300/- to come all the way to this place and my family is standing on the road with luggage? They were not bothered and just denied, saying call oyo and tell them we are not bothered. I called the oyo help line number but it was just busy and could not contact customer executive, i tried thew chat option and oyo said they will look into this matter and call me back... I waited and waited but neither oyo called neither till this day they have called me regarding this. After an hour of waiting i found that my booking at the hotel was cancelled, so funny? Nice your guests are waiting on the road and instead of solving there problem you cancel the booking? Should anyone book hotels with oyo who cannot help ion case of distress? They will deduct your money if you cancel the booking then what should they do when they cannot provide rooms? Should i get one nights hotel amount in return? What about the harassment?                     My name is mayuresh pawaskar on 27th june 2019 i booked sorina hillside oyo malavli, exactly a month prior for 27th july and 28th july considering that the property has perfect location and a swimming pool with high demand.
                    Yesterday monday 22nd july i received a msg which says you have been shifted to other hotel which is away from malavli also with no swimming pool. I am highly disappointed by this kind of service. There are kids coming along with me who really want to enjoy the pool. I demand that my stay to this hotel should be intact. If the property owner needs more money i can pay but such changes at last moment is intolerant.
                    Please provide a proper resolution and work on priority on my booking.

                      I booked a room in kushalnagar (Coorg) on 20/07/2019 and i paid the amount in advance. Hotel name is white wings. Booking id is tjbu2165. When i reached the hotel they told me, they don't have any contract with oyo and don't allowed me to check in. This happened at 12pm. Then i called to oyo support and informed this. They put on hold me half an hour and arranged another room. I told them i need all amenities i booked previous. He told everything is in new hotel.
                      New hotel was nearly 8 km from the old hotel. I reached the new and checked the room. That time i realized new room is not air conditioned. I booked an ac room.

                      Then i again called in oyo support. I talked to a senior officer and i explained all this to him. He told he will arrange another room immediately and put me on hold.
                      I waited in that line 1 hr and no reply from there side. This was the worst experience i had with oyo.
                      At last i don't had another option and i stayed in new hotel.

                      Please do the needful action against this and let me know.

                        Hi this is Prasad i had booked honeymoon package with id FKHM5959 in which they had informed me that they will provide us individual rooms for individual couple at the time of booking and we had paid an advance of Rs 18000 but after the payment they are saying that the rooms are shared with the couples how could we share the beds with diffrent couples. Provide us individual rooms as mentioned before.this issue going from 10 days but not responding any one.only 2 weeks is there. try to resolve as soon as possible.                             I had booked a single room in a hotel in trichy on 24th June and had paid the full amount for the duration of the stay(Rs. 1900). When i reached the hotel on the said day, I was told by the hotel staff that all their single rooms were booked out. I had called the OYO customer service and had them book another hotel, for which I would have to pay again and they told me that the amount that I paid for the first hotel would be refunded. But its nearly been a month and I am yet to get back the money I had paid for the first hotel.

I show my ex service man medical id.in this card what ever the person stay all members photo date of birth all are here. But your person told only aadhar, passport, election id only accept. Please clarify by to me. Central government id is not valid?. As a army person i feel lot. Give reply. If not recd i will go to consumers right. Army id is valid or not.

According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18 staying at the hotel. The identification proofs accepted are Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, and Passport. Without an Original copy of a valid ID, the guest will not be allowed to check-in.

                                Hope you are doing well. I just wanted to let you know that very soon your business is going down as your business partners are not able to run oyo properly. They are not satisfied with your policy. They always criticize oyo company even they are talking about leaving your company. Yesterday i was booked a room in hotel surya regency, Ludhiana Punjab, oyo 31003. When i was there to check in they say our room rent is higher than they are showing in app so i have to pay rest amount before checking. I was i hurry to check in bcz i was not feeling well. And 1 thing i wanna tell you that they don't deserve to work under oyo standard, hotel cleanings is 0, bed quality is 0 washroom very much dirty. Mirror was too old even one can't see their face properly. After giving such dirty services still they criticize your company. I m damn sure your area quality person is not honest or loyal to you. He should visit the hotels under him and check them regularly to maintain oyo standards. When i was about to check out from the hotel, one person ask me for my mobile and give the rating itself. Now you can understand how your business is going on. I think you should work on it seriously otherwise very soon you might lost your customers.
                                Now I'm going to add pictures of hotel room where i was used to stay.

                                    This is happening for the 4 th time where i am denied check in despite confirmed by oyo.
                                    I wasted 2 hours calling oyo.
                                    Different executives provides me with resolutions that are not completed.
                                    The hotel's tell me that they will not provide me the booking at the amount paid to oyo.
                                    Why do oyo provide discounts when they cannot keep their services proper.

                                    Oyo 15673 denied me booking today
                                    Oyo 16656 denied me booking today

                                    Another oyo denied me booking in chandigarh a few days ago
                                    Oyo had me shifted in another hotel
                                    But that wasted my 2 hours.

                                    The service team keeps calls on hold for more than 20 minutes at times and yet nothing has been done.

                                    I still have a ticket raised with oyo denied me check in but no response.
                                    No call from oyos end.
                                    This is not acceptable
                                    This is not about the refund.
                                    This is about how a company as big as you who claims such big things are unable to resolve issues at your end.
                                    I am a wizard member.
                                    That makes me laugh to what your services are.
                                    I will make sure to escalate this to a social forum and consumer court, asking for a complete compensation of the harassment faced by different hotel's because of oyo.
                                    I hope to get a good response or i will be forced to forward these mails to a different platform.
                                    Oyo being a service gaint, i am sure you are proud of the services.

                                    This was the apology given to me
                                    Promising that i wont face any more problems
                                    Now that i have finally made a new booking
                                    The customer care says that they have raised a callback and i have recieved none from oyos end .
                                    The services are getting worse
                                    Neither have the refund for the bookings have been processed yet despite the mails .
                                    Nor the discount have been applied to my bookings

                                    We've booked 2 rooms on 15th Jul-19 in Udaipur. Due to some reason we've cancelled that booking. Now, A week passed but still we didnt get our refund.

                                      I have booked a hotel in mount abu, the check in date was 9 th june on 8 th june the booking was cancelled by oyo itself they send me a text message saying due to unavoidable circumstances we have to cancel your booking and amount willl be auto refunded. It is still not refunded after 2 months. I am continously calling oyo they are continously sending me mails that your refund has been initiated and you will get in 7-14 working days but i didnt get any refund till now.
                                      It is going to be 2 months now.
                                      I want to file this complaint against oyo.

                                      My problem has been resolved by OYO ORM ( online reputation management ) assistant Ms. Upasana Ojha . She called me I explained her all the details . She ensured me my refund will be initated and my problem will be solved. As she said It got resolved . I recieved a link for my refund . I will get it within 7-14 working days .

                                        I made a booking on 30th june 2019 with booking id : husv9725 at oyo 33505 crystal palms highway resort. When i reached the hotel, they denied my checkin that they dont have any tieup with oyo. I called oyo to help me regarding this. They told that they will refund my amount. I got only partial refund. I complained that it was oyo mistake and i want full refund. They told me that your request is processed. They charged inr 3013 for cancellation. Its been 20 days i raised complaint. I didnt find any response. I atleast called customer care 30 times and they are saying that we will transfer your call to respective department. My call was never transferred. Kindly help me regarding this.
