I have purchased 2 sets of 2 seater recliner from Pepperfry on 17th March 2016 order no[protected]FN1463128-P-OD1381.
I have done full payment Rs 52000 while placing the order.
On 6th April 2016, upon not finding any update since 26th March on order I called customer care to find out status.
I have been told that the product is ready for dispatch but address is not correct, need to update the address. Hence I updated the address.
On 7the April I received call from customer care that the product is out of stock and I should cancel the order.
But the fact that there is no cancel order option on pepperfry site.
you can not cancel any order unless you receive it once and have some issue.
On 9th April I received one more call saying what is nearest landmark as shipment has arrived Pune hub. So informed same to customer executive.
The customer executive told me that it will be delivered on Sunday 10th April, confirmed time of delivery too.
No delivery on Sunday 10th April.
Hence called pepperfry again on Monday 11th April. Where I have been told that the product has not passed quality checks and can not be delivered.
Wondering how quality check failed after reaching delivery hub.
After so much delay. I escalated this to branch manager on 17th April.
Again I got the standard answer that there some confusion with product however my set is ready to be shipped( Really god help us!!!)
I received email from Mr Dazel.d for apologies caused and they will track this issue.
By this time I have lost hope of getting it.
A friend of mine suggested to escalate it to CEO of pepperfry, so I have fwded email received by Mr Dazel.d to all CEOs of Pepperfry.
To my surprise I got call from CEO office to checkout what happened.
The smart guy at CEO office convinced to not to worry anymore and case is getting handled with high priority( Well I am writing this complaint on 22nd June still I have not received my complete order :( )
And then again email and phone call started.
This time the smart guy said that the material of original product and not good I should select another one or cancel the order.
He will give me all refund along with some cash discount for which I can buy anything from pepperfry.
Why should I spend 52000 on something I don’t need, so refused the proposal.
So Mr smart guy again started to fulfill the order.
On 23rd April, I received email with material details and colours, so selected one from them.
By 27th April I received update that Vendor is preparing product and this will be delivered on priority with no date mentioned.
By 3rd May no product delivered.
Again I asked for update and received no reply.
On one fine day 12th May I received msg saying your shipment of recliner has reached Pune hub and will be delivered shortly.
Wow!... Finally got some hope that ok I am getting my product!.
On 15th May received call from Area sales manager of Mumbai saying he will come personally to deliver the product and came too.
The crew(yes crews!!! All dressed in pepperfry black tees saying "Happy furniture to you" on back with white gloves!!!) with sales managers arrived at my home.
Helped to get the product unpacked.
While placing recliners on its place we noticed the torn fabric for one of the recliner. Bingo!!! :(
The sales guy again apologized for damage and took back 1 piece.
Again I started followup with MR smart guy from CEO office.

Till now I have done so many followups. The smart guy each time assures me that I will get my product.
Do they really understand the meaning of promise, priority and assurance.
P.S. This write is reviewed by Mr. Smart guy personally.!!!

    I had purchased a dinning table from pepper fry, one of the chairs broke due to an joint issue
    so i wrote to them asking for an carpenter under warranty for which even they confirmed that they would do the same and today when i speak to the customer care he mentioned that it is not possible and not giving a clear picture.
    so pepper fry is not committing to warranty issues and after service.

      I have ordered queen size bed with box storage (Order id:[protected] on 10th of may. Till the shipping everything was perfect. They shipped the item on 24th of may which is 14 days after my order. But that was fine for me. I got a message that on 27th may it has reached bangalore ware house. I called customer care and scheduled the deliver on june 4th saturday. I have not received any call or update from them. On 6th june i had called customer care and they told told they couldn't find any delivery request placed for 4th which was agreed date. Customer care person told me that they will place a delivery request on second day as they will process the request one day before. I was expecting the product the 2nd day after my call. But nothing happened.

      Again i called customer care and they told they again need to re initiate the delivery and that would take another 2 days. Nothing happened. I called again and they told the same thing and waited for 2 more days.

      I called again and this time i the customer care that i want to escalate this case and they promptly replied that they have no provision to escalate this request. What a customer care!!!

      Waited for 2 more days. Again called customer care and they told this will be the last time you will be calling customer care and the product will be delivered in 2 days. I asked them to transfer the call to manager and they told you will receive a call back in 24 hours. No body called me and delivery also not happened

      I called them again (Kumar from pepperfry) today and they told that they called bangalore warehouse team and no body is picking the call. He told he will try again today and make.

      In short my product is delivered to bangalore ware house on 27th may (25 days till today) and after calling customer care 10-15 times and i have not delivered my product still.

        *please do not buy furniture from pepper fry*

        Hi,

        Product name :mexico solid wood king sized bed
        Amount paid: rs.33, 101.00

        I ordered for a mexican king size bed in which was delivered in dec 2015 - order no:[protected]fm1353855-p-wh2305.

        But within a couple of months the 2 inch thick side panel developed a huge crack basically because of the inferior quality wood used in making of the bed.

        I called up the customer care and the pepper fry carpenter visited my residence to check the bed and took pictures to send it back. I was later informed by the pepper fry customer care that the crack cannot be repaired or the panel cannot be replaced even though the bed is in the warranty period.

        Its is better to get the furniture from a local dealer then pepper fry as they are here to cheat people. I have posted this issue before on this forum and got a reply that the issue is raised with customer care but no one has contacted us from pepper fry to solve the problem.

        Please do not waste your money at pepper fry

          I ordered for a product on Pepperfry.com on 21st of March. Till June 3rd, they did not bother to send the product or even contact me. I even gave a feedback over phone. On June 2nd or 3rd I registered a complaint on their website. Then they responded saying they will investigate into the matter. Its June 13 today and I still do not have the money or the product on hand.

            I bought jinjer slatted two seater sofa in blue colour by arra (Sku: fn1118711-p-wh9065) from pepperfry on 10th nov 2016 order no.[protected], delivered last week of nov 2016. The frame has given away in 6 months time. It is broken. I called pepperfry for repairs, they refused to take the complaint or act on it. I do not want refund, but only need them to repair or replace since it is just 7 months since we have received the sofa. The use of the sofa has primarily been by my mother who is 65 yrs and weighs around 55 kg. This i mention to emphasize it has not been used inappropriately. Please help me resolve the issue.

              I have ordered one Clip-on cooker on 28th May. After 5th June when i not
              got the product i called customer care for 3-4 times. Every time they said we have shipped and the logistics partner have problem. We will check and let you know by next 24 hrs... but no call no phone within next 24 hrs i had received ... when again i called them they use to give next 24 hrs like that. I have AWB of FEDEX... i called them also... and they are...

              Highly Disappointed with the interaction with Pepperfry today. Returning my money after 1 month 1 week. Lost the time, frustration, did so mush of compromise, wait for 1 month and now they are not fullfilling the order... What a joke... New add on site is place order and get it with in the 24 hours... I am waiting for this last 1 month n 1 week... Replacement provided that order also didn't get thru because customer followup they didnt liked it & cancelled order.. False ads on site & delivery dates are wrong... Definitely will spend more time for Grahak Panchayat.

                Don't buy products from pepperfry!
                I bought Natsuki Two Door Kitchen Cabinet with Drawer in Oak Finish by Mintwud in Oct 2015. The material is engineering wood. And since last month, the material is splitting and coming off.
                I have been calling pepperfry about this since month and they just keep playing you around. My wardrobe and bed is in engineering material and bought from Stylespa.
                When you mop the floor, some moister is bound to touch material, but my bed and wardrobe are just fine. But this material is very poor and pepperfry is cheating people in selling them.
                When I called them, they did some play of sending carpenter, after three weeks of waiting, I called them, they said carpenter did not submit the review. After one week when I called back, they said carpenter said your problem is fixed.
                This week when I called again, they said they asked me to send photos, which I did. And on Saturday when carpenter again called me, he said clearly that he has submitted review and photos to their so called furniture expert. And he told him, I know the material I spoor, but you just keep calling to customer, we will not do anything.
                So I called this morning again, and agent first tried to paly same thing with me, I will send carpenter etc. And finally said this is engineering wood, I can not help you.
                This is very irresponsible and cheating customer service. So Customer's money does not matter anything. We are fool to buy from you and you just throw your hands in air once you sell a product?
                You advertise yourself... Just relax and leave things with us...!
                Is this how you handle our things??
                One suggestion for customers...Don't buy these material from Pepperfry.. They are just out to cheat you out of your money!

                  I had purchased a shoe rack and they guarantee product assembly for any furniture they buy. They just came & placed the shoe rack in the house which is a wall mounted shoe rack. They refuse to mount the shoe rack to make it useable. Called them 4 times requesting for assembly and everytime they said the person will come today & no one comes. After the 4th time they are telling we dont do wall mounting. The product is not in useable condition till its mounted. Falsely make commitments.

                    One queen size bed was procured against order id[protected] dated 8-may-16. It was received dated 20-may-16 broken from one of the corners. We raised complaint against same on 23-may-16 and got a call from pepperfry that they will get the item returned and to get the new bed we have to place a fresh order which will not with that discount which was earlier. We are paying this amount in the form of emis and already incurring extra interest on that, hence wrote to pepperfry to compensate the damage monetarily. Now they are keeping complete silent on same.

                      Hello all,

                      The complaint is regarding order no:[protected]. I place order on 23rd may 2016 at around 11:30 in the morning and paind online for the same and fortunately or unfortunately placed request for cancellation on the same day at 8:30 pm i. E. Within 12 hours.

                      In spite of the cancellation request, dear customer caring pepperfry shipped item on 24th may and item reached pune on 25th may. I got call from the concerned person and informed that the order has been cancelled.

                      Since 23rd may, i have been continuously chasing the team and asking about my refund status. Poor chaps have only these lines "madam.. Within 24-48 hours your request will be processed"... After 10 days, i am still waiting for that countdown to begin...

                      I want my money back as soon as possible.10 days are more than sufficient to initiate refund request.

                        I wish to bring to your notice that I have ordered a bed and a set of two side tables from your website. The order was fulfilled by Wordsworth. There is a consistent effort by the vendor to used damaged wood and then cover it up with paint /or finishing colour. This is a rather consistent and disgusting experience with the products supplied by Wordsworth. Here are the details of the order. Also please find the images of the damage.

                          This is about the item 'melvie side arm chair' from the order[protected].

                          Back rest of the chair was very loose when delivered — which means it goes backwards when you try to rest your upper torso on it. The guy who delivered the chair requested me to accept the chair and he would send a carpenter to fix the loose back. As it was the very first delivery from pepperfry, i accepted the delivery. Ii raised a complaint and after so many follow ups from my end, a pepper fry carpenter came and put some clamps on the underside the chair which reduced the backrest movement.

                          After a weeks time, the backrest started to make a big squeaking noise, whenever somebody sits. I initiated a return but it was denied indicating that the return should have been done within first 7 days itself.

                          After spending close to 8500 rupees, i cannot live with a product which squeaks right from the first month till the end of its life. This is the risk of buying furniture online and ecommerce furniture company should understand and cover the risk or else people will never have confidence to buy furniture online without sitting and feeling it.

                          Pepperfry cfo (Neelesh talathi) came last sunday to my home along with their delivery team as a courtesy call to take customer feedback and i showed him this chair as well. Alas, i missed gathering his contact details.

                          I do not want a refund exactly but i am surely looking to get a new good chair of same type instead of suffering from this squeaking and defective one. After all, i spent my hard earned money on it.

                            I had placed an order id[protected] and received product well on time. However the guy who came to assemble the product ruined it completely, broke it a bit, chipped it and also did the wrong fixing. He had no clue what he was doing. Now i have an ugly dressing table that is ruined and spent a good amount of money on it. The carpenter refused to admit what he did when i saw the final result, infact he was rude and disrespectful and walked away unconcerned.

                            I then placed a complain immediately on the number for pepperfry but no action takin as i wanted the dressing table fixed or taking back if not possible. Calling customer service past 3 days now and i have been told that a professional carpenter will be sent to fix it. Its been days now and no one has come. I keep calling everyday and i am given false hope.. Neither will they take back the product or refund my money.. I feel like my money has gone to waste... Terrible first experience with pepperfry and will never order again. Lesson learnt!!

                            just received a call from a person saying from pepper fry and that my money will refunded he also gave me my order ID number which made me believe him. He said someone will come to take the product back but things got suspicious when he asked me for my debit card personal info. OMG. lucky i did not give him all the details

                            the number is [protected] which he contacted me on.

                            THIS IS FRAUD ALERT!!!

                            i was almost fooled. please help.

                              I am being waiting patiently for more than 2 weeks to get my issue resolved but no one had called in order to replace my product or give me refund for the Damaged part Rosario King Size Bed in Espresso Walnut. You cannot cheat your customer by delivering damaged piece and not giving resolution for more than 10 days. My issue doesn’t get resolve but automated email than we have resolve the issue. I need my refund ASAP. If I don’t get I will raise my voice through Social Media.

                                I purchased book shelf form my son from pepperfry.com and it is delivered on 21st may-2016 at 2.00 pm till now no one came for assimilating that.

                                Deliver person said it will assemble with in 24 hours, and i will raise a request. Till 22nd evening i waiting again i called him (+91-[protected]) and asked, he said just now i will update some one will come and assemble it. It is not happened. (My son is eagerly waiting for his new book shelf, as kids are more interested on there items).

                                Again i raised complaint on there live chat system on 23rd morning at 9.10 am around. And chat agent said will try to finish it by 23rd eod. Again it is not happened. Again my son got deposited.

                                Again today i asked in liver chat today morning, and chat agent said, you only raise a request yesterday (I. E 23rd) so it will complete by today. One simple thing he missed is and he is not counting his delivery person request. On 21st may-2016.

                                Again now i contacted live chat reg. Same, now he new agent is saying it may took 2-3 days more.

                                So, these people are giving all use-less stories every time. Because of all these issues my son is very very un-happey, i am not able to face him every day.

                                  Order placed for 2 black in color sofa Cum beds on 16th april delivered on 14th may. And during making it into bed, it happening like tear and break. The material of sofa tore and the leg broke by simply just making it into bed. I want immediate replacement or refund for this product. Really not satisfied with the quality, durability of sofas. Not worth the price you have charged for giving such non durable items. Will not recommend such deliverables to any masses or network.
                                  I want immediate actions to be taken.

                                    This is regarding the recent purchase i made through pepperfry (Order #[protected]. I have ordered 1 four door wardrobe in the month of january/early february. The product that i saw and ordered online is way different than the product i actually got.
                                    On first look i was just appalled to see the quality of the product.

                                    No way it can be priced at 18, 000 and as you claim after your 'offer price' discount it is not even worth 12, 000 that i actually paid.
                                    After few days i called up your customer care support, they said a product would be returned only if it is damaged or there is some sort of manufacturing defect. You conveniently skipped the "quality" criteria which is ultimate to any product.

                                    The wardrobe was as if it was made out of pitch-board and not from wood or ply. It was so thin & so small that we were worried that it might break down during assembling.
                                    The wardrobe looked even ridiculous after it is assembled, it is so shaky that it feels like it can fall any time if we touch it.
                                    To actually make things worse the handle broke and remember that too when we are hardly, yes hardly, even touching the product. It broke like as if it is made out of paper, it is so so disgustingly thin.

                                    We hardly even are using it, it became a junk thing for us. So just imagine when your hard earned money gets wasted on something which you can not even use, how does it feel like? Would not you feel like you are being cheated?
                                    I wish i got my money back and can throw this piece of junk but i believe you have not given this option to your customer, did you?

                                    I talked about this with my friends and colleagues and few of them have very similar experience. Thing which you might be well aware of but as i can see have not given enough thoughts. If this is the way you are going to sell your products and survive in the long run then all the best to you.

                                    One thing is for sure i would not recommend anyone to buy anything from pepperfry, i have learnt my lesson.

                                      Pepperfry is a cheat. I had ordered for a for a queen size bed of 65"x82" they sent me wrong dimension and took around a months time to refund.

                                      Again i placed an order for the same queen size bed of similar dimensions but a different sku. And again they sent me a product of different dimensions.

                                      And if i ask them for a replacement they say it's out of stock and can only process a refund.
