poor service and manufacturing defects

To whomsoever this may concern,

I, alsone. A had bought a brand new bullet with the highest of hopes and expectations. From the day i started my experience of my new vehicle, day after day something or the other goes wrong. There is an abnormal noise which i came to later know as tappet noise.
A few days ago i gave my bike for service with a few concerns that i have been facing throughout the time i bought the bike....

I have purchased royal enfield (Re) thunder bird 350. Cc from sarabhai motors, ahmedabad 9 months back. Problem is with the service station of re, at manikbaugh branch, ahmedabad, gujarat. The persons at the service station are not properly handling the vehicles while servicing. This is the second time they had mishandled my bike. Regarding service also the quality of service is not upto the mark. After service, we face complain, which was not there before the service. No proper cleaning and washing.
After spending so much on the purchase of vehicle, not satisfy with after sales services. Complained to the service manager mr. Ravi, at ahmedabad and also to the showroom manager of sarabhai mr. Deepak.
Seriously strict action is to be taken for the service centers provided by royal enfield, most of the buyers face the same problem. Kindly do the needful.

    Hi team,

    I am dr. Senthil. I own a royal enfield 350 electra purchased on june 2016 within six month of purchase date, i faced a battery failure issue on dec 2016, so i left my bike at sri velavan motors greams road and they advised me to replace with the new battery under warranty and they hold off my bike for more than 10 days at service station since i really need a bike for my day to day transportation, i requested them to make it soon and they gave me the spare battery since new battery was not available at that time due to out of stock and they didn't provide any document against the spare battery even am not aware about the procedure the service station follows, since it was more than 10 days i was in a urge to take my bike back.
    Now the issue is exactly on july 15th 2017 again i faced with the same battery failure within 6 month. I went to service station again and met the advisor they are asking for warranty card for the battery else need to pay for the new one. The sri velavan motors greams road service station should be responsible for this they are making me to worry financially and mentally on this.
    Please advise how come a battery will get failure for every 6 month. I clearly blame on the service station about this until unless they should be cautious on customer handling they should provide me the new battery as per my warranty agreement but they gave a spare battery without any documents and i was not guided properly and they have cheated me and again am in a position to plead them for the new one.
    Please help on this to proceed further. Thank you.

    I brought one royal enfield std 350 in 2014. buts this product was not good.i wants to spent more and more mony for this product.all tha cable i changed three times .in with in three month i wants to change brake shoe.all the body parts are distoyed ...now engine problem...

      With reverence i am informing your goodself that my royal enfield classic 350 which i unfortunately purchased from pcs automobiles is having stuck gear and clutch issues from the time i got it also the bike moves uncontrollably in 1st gear in cold start as well from the 1st day.
      On my 1st, 2nd, 3rd service i complained to them for fixing it but they dont take it seriously and i am getting gear stuck frequently at the middle of road very frequently.
      Let me inform you that i am from maruti suzuki and we at maruti didnt have this much worst service like re that pcs automobiles gives, i mean they dnt even listen to csts.
      Let me tell you i didnt got even my motorcycle washed at all 3 services due to lame excuses that motor pump is faulty, power supply etc
      I mean re is messed up to totaly at pcs
      Pl take an action else i would file a consumer case at consumer court now as i am fed up now

        Hello guys i own a classic chrome 500 which got it new set of chain sprockets 10000 kms ago now as i was facing some drawback force when i accelerated so checked the chain sprocket and i found just one teeth that too half was in rest broke and chain is slipping forward when ever i accelerate. And the clutch cable are half done from the purchase and is forcing riders to carry spare every we keep gone. Its like my re done with 31k kms and i changed 12 clutch cables the chain sprockets and the clutch cables are seriously very compromised quality provided by royal enfield

          I have purchased a new himalayan bike from royal enfield (Brar motors) rudrapur (Its a new bike only km driven near about 2000)
          Before 20 days it has given problem when i m trying to start my bike but i was failed to start so called the showroom to check they have taken it, after 1 week they have returned it they told me that we have changed the battery with the new one, but again the same problem i m facing they are saying it we will check and update you they have make me fool why the same problem is coming again and again. Bike cost is near about rs 180000 i have taken a expensive bike to ride but when it was at showroom i have taken autos to go to my office and my personal work also i m fed up with their excuses. Such a big brand royal enfield but i m not happy with this bike now i want my money back and also what i have invested to go to office or personal work that money i also want plz help me with this type of fraud company with no customers satisfaction only what they know is how to make fool to customers.

            As having a complaint in break for my newly purchased royal enfield i gave it for servicing 8 times. The front break of the vehicle is happening to struck sometimes. And the back break is making a high cracking sound when giving break. But they were not able to rectify my complaint. I got very poor service for my royal enfield. Workers doesn't have any responsibility. The condition of the royal enfiled is not good from the very initial period. I request you to rectify my complaint or gave me a new royal enfield instead of the old one. I you are not taking any action for my grievance, i'll go for legal procedures.               Hi i submit my 350 classic bike for repair in royal enfield show room near basti jodhewal ludhiana punjab 141007.
              After 20 to 25 days still they not provide me my bill of repair.
              They give me rough manual bill and collect 6000 from me but not provide me any bill...
              From last 20 days i been in showroom min 10 times everytime mr karanveer your customer handle guy say sir by tomm u get your bill. But no bill yet.
              This is not first time few days back i received call from royal enfield abt my bike service, the lady said sir your bike service is pending from dec 2016 when you r coming for service.. I reply madam after dec i made 3 services from your showroom. She said sir but system is not showing.. Whats this mean,? R they guys not making bill or they r not doing there work properly.../

              Today when i ask karanveer abt my bike bill he start argue with me and loudly said your bill is not the only one to look after i have many more to do so when we make your bill will call you.
              Last 20 days im waiting for my proper bill...
              Please do need full and please hire some educate person to deal with customer in proper way...

                I had purchased a standard 500 royal enfield bullet (Mh02 dx 7000) from voyage motors @ kandivali around 2 years back, have been regularly servicing my bike and was in good shape,
                On 9th july my bike was given to the service station for regular servicing, there were no issues with the bike, it was for a regular service, however after the servicing, or whatever they claim to have done, my bike had issues in pickup, which was brought to the notice of the engineer, who told me to leave the bike and that he will deliver it to my house since due to work i would not be able to collect it.
                On the third day someone delivered the bike to my house, which was in a very bad shape, the rear tyre had several punctures and the pickup issue was still as it is.
                My request to royal enfield is to please look into such type of service stations which is spoiling their name, they charge exorbitantly for service and just wash the vehicle and deliver it back.

                  I have purchased an re on september 2016 from hsr rajajinagar

                  After taking the delivery of the vehicle, in few hours i saw some liquid leaked on engine, when took the hsr showroom in rajajinagar, asked me to contact service centre in magadi chord,
                  After contacting them, they informed me battery will be replaced and on engine top cover buffing will be done to remove the marks, upon agreeing they took my original battery & replaced with temporary one informing that it will take a weeks’ time,
                  Upon following up for few months, service engineer told still they have not got replacement battery, it’s been so many months, contacted hsr manager – charan ([protected]), he checked and informed me that the battery which is added in my bike is the replacement battery as per records, he is so dumb, he has no records or no information of the batteries, blindly telling that they have replaced battery on 4t november 2016.

                  To challenge him, i contacted a amarom dealer and proved that my bike doesnot have the replacement battery, he provided me more details about the battery.

                  Original battery no of re – bah0434q107775 mfd date – sept 2016
                  Temporary battery no in re – bah0428q202044 mfd date – june 2016
                  Replacement battery no (Got from amaron) – bah0546q102477 sent to hsr on 18th nov 2016
                  So now i asked charan where is the replacement battery which was sent by amaron in replacement for the original one, he has no answer and dumb stuck, telling with assumption that they have given a new battery on day one when i complained my battery is faulty, when asked is this the procedure they follow, he says i am the only one for whom they have done.

                  Hes blaming telling that i may have paid some amount initially for the service guy to provide a new battery initially on my report of faulty battery, he has no sense, it’s a new bike and in warranty and why would i pay some one, when i will get a replacement free of cost, hes really a fool just wasted 2 hours taking to him in the service centre, where i dint get any solution.

                  I think they are cheating customers by stealing replacement products and replacing it with unused or useless products.

                  Firstly when warranty is there no company will provide a new one without getting a replacement one from the manufacturer amaron.

                  Secondly no data about the battery, he has written in a small book that they have replaced battery on 4th nov 2016, whereas amazon has sent them replacement only 18th nov 2016, false record or data created

                  My question is how did royal enfield get a new battery even before the defective one was sent to amaron, now the manager is telling as per the record new battery is replaced in the bike and it is documented

                  This is cheating customer, my first mistake was accepting the new bike where battery was leaking & engine got acid scars & trusting royal enfield engineer, who has left the company and now how do i prove this?

                  Manager has no knowledge and talks what ever comes to his mouth with logic, he talks only with assumption, he says standby battery can run only for few days, since i have used it for many months without any problem, he assumed it be a new one provided by hsr,
                  He is asking me to prove that the battery included is not good then he will replace else ask his ex employee harish to tell that he had put a temporary battery then he will provide my replacement battery.

                  Re has such worst manager in service center, now i am scared to leave my bike for service here, what if they flick or steal parts and replace with old ones.

                  My question is where is my replacement battery, what has re hsr magadi rd service centre done with that.

                  My bike should either have a original battery included on delivery or a replacement one for that, but its with a unknow battery, not detail about its condition, manger is telling if any issues within warranty period, he will replace battery not hes not ready to provide the replacement battery sent from amaron as he has not data about it.

                  Whom do i contact for a solution on this issue?

                    I own thunderbird 350 bike, its been one year and done my 6 servicing but problems i have faced from first servicing still persists.
                    Today my bike broke down in heavy rains in pune. 3 hours i was waiting for roadside assistance because my nearby service centres was not responding.
                    Somehow mechanic came and done something with my bike but he was unable to detect the problem. I am sure the problem is with air filter and carbonator but he said problem is with petrol. He said bike needs to toe. I said ok do it. He said i am a mechanic so toeing team will come separately.
                    I got a call from toeing team, they said it will take 1 hour to reach and if we are parking bike in safe area then next day they will charge me for other services because it will be new day. My question is what kind of assistance it is. Team is saying its company policy that they can not carry forward same complaint for next day but its their problem that they are not resolving my problem in same day.

                    After a 1hr dhakka and 2 hrs wait, i have still parked my bike on road due to lack of assistance.

                    I'm Vignesh. I have booked thunderbird 350cc on Feb 27th at Sivakasi showroom. There is a delay in delivering the Bike. I have communicated most times but they are saying that will deliver in very short period. It completed four and half months but till now I didn't get any solution for this.

                      Ysterday dated 12.07.2017, i went to sahila expositions service station at guwahati for a problem regarding my thunderbird battery problem. At the service station the authorized personnel told me to change the battery and so i changed to a dry cell battery at the service station. My job card no. Was 09151. But after installing the new battery my instrument cluster display i. E. Fuel gauge, time and total kms record was not showing. And so i showed to the personnel at there itself. But after many hours later they could not fix it. But before entering the workshop my display was working perfectly. My total kms done was 4628. I have purchased my bike in the year 2014 in the month of july. So kindly help me in this matter as soon as possible. Now my instrument cluster display shows a total of 18 kms done and fuel tank gauge shows full tank whereas there is only 1.5lts left in the tank.

                        I have purchased classic 350 on[protected] and i have driven only 6500 till know and the chain of the bike has been damaged and makes crackling sound and i came to the agency and they said that it will not be changed in warranty.
                        I have said them on third service of bike also they said nothing will happen its ok... But know it has been damaged fully so i want to get it replace as the bike cost 150000 thousand and the part of the bike are so poor that at 6500 kms only the chain gets damage very poor quality. Please solve out this problem. Pb 03 aq 5533

                          Bought RE350 in 2013 Feb and till today changed the battery 4 times (2 times with warranty). How ever none of the service center guys found whats the problem in the bike and every time they assured that the issue is solved but it didn't.
                          Always having self start problem with the bike and battery drains fast as the return charge current isn't charging properly i hope.
                          No solution provide by any service centers yet but they replaced magnetic coil, carburetor set etc.,

                            I have purchased bike on 28th June 2017 and I started facing issue from 30th June onwards. My bike suddenly got dead on the second day. I contacted the dealer and the dealer sent someone on the other day. Initially I was told it's a battery issue.
                            2nd Day - I was told that the issue is with air filter as a drop of petrol went into it.
                            3rd Day - I was told that the issue is with the spark plug. The spark plug came with this bike is not compatible as it belongs to 350CC and mine is 500 CC
                            Next day(Today) - I got the bike back and they mentioned that the issue was with electrical system and they fixed it.
                            I spent more than 2lac Rs to buy this bike but on the second day it gave this issue which made the bike stand still on the middle of the road.

                              As per document submitted to the Royal Enfield at the time of booking My Name is "SUMIT SANDILAYA" but in the RC and Insurance papers i observed Just Sumit is mentioned.

                              This would be a problem in future as a ownership.

                              Same concern i raised to Sakshi Gupta (Khan market Store) at the time of delivery on 20/03/2017, where she assured me for the correction, but even after a month i received the My Bike RC by the name of Sumit only.

                              same concern i shared with Ritesh in Royal Enfield (Saket Store, New Delhi) on 21/04/2017.

                              he assured me about it, but i never get any reply back from his side and now he not even receiving my calls ([protected]), he gave me another number "[protected]" of a person called Dhananjay, but this number never been received by any one, most of the time it was not reachable.

                              i got the delivery of my bike 20/03/2017, since then i am using this bike with out RC, on the name of RC i am using a photo copy of it.

                              As per last communication with Manvender at "[protected]" on 17/06/2017 he assured me updated RC will be received by 29/06/2017, but even after 16 days no update from their side.

                              Here i would like to tell about Ritesh who never bother to receive or reply back of the calls.

                              Vipin :- He Bluntly ask me to go to the Consumer Court, as this is my right to go.

                              I am Really fed up dealing with Royal Enfield executive and has been harassed by them several time. this whole issue is become a big pain for me as a consumer, i would like suggest to the people, never ever expect and help and support by the Royal Enfield.

                              they are here to charge you, if some thing goes wrong during the process they will leave you in between.

                              my bike is parked outside my house from more than 3 months, just because of royal enfield stupid mistake. its is a complete waste of 1.47 lakh, until i received the Bike RC.

                                I purchased a classic 350 one month back. I done the first service. Few days later i noticed a rust in the spark plug near engine. I am worried about spreading the rust. The srevice people told me that it wont get affected. But the bike is only one month old and iam worried about the present situation and it might get worse.                                   My desert storm royal Enfield bullet got a chasis crack near side stand and it was built in 2013 November.when I contact service centre they have told that it have to be done under insurance.

                                    I hope this reaches the management. This complaint is on one of your dealer in Calicut "Grace motors" Vadakara. I have booked a "Bullet 350 standerd" on January 5th 2017, it was informed that it would generally take about 1 month for me to get the vehicle. I have not received any call from them till now.then i have visited the showroom but they didin't cares me.i'm totally dissatified with their dealings .I hope the same is taken seriously

                                      My 2014 model royalenfield classic 350 chassis has cracked.I was lucky to notice well before riding or else would have met with some accidents.I have never heard or seen any kind of this problem in any other bikes in a short period of time.When contacted the regional service manager for replacement he says the whole part and service should be bourne by the customer and company wont do anything.This is purely a manufacturing quality issue.I...
