Hi,
Recently on 04/07/2015 I got My Classic desert storm to regular service and the Service center ( Lamba Enterprises, Tilak Nagar) told me that there is white smoke coming from the exhaust and this would require engine work which will cost around 25-30k.
Details - The bike clocked ~14000KMs, purchased in July 2012, serviced regularly from authorized service center, hardly ridden and never been to a long trip, how can there be an issue of white smoke ? Royal enfield authorized service center( Lamba Enterprises, Tilak Nagar) is saying that the bike needs engine work and would cost 25-30k. Also, there are no signs of pickup loss and drop in mileage. The only observation was - The bike exhumes white smoke once the accelerator is revved up. ( See the Youtube video)
This seems totally unjustified. Royal enfield is known for its robust built and powerful performance. Issues like this marks a dent on the reputation. Its hard to digest that ROYAL ENFILED Classic 500 needs engine work at ~14000 kms even after regular service from authorized service center. I request royal enfield to look into this issue ASAP.

Royal Enfield customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
mine 2011 classic 350 chassis broke and for me the excuse is out of warranty.I filed a consumer case yesterday.Please do file one if they dont do anything also ask the dealer or service about the warranty period because i heard nowits 2 years.Dont waste time file a case and screw their happiness
