On 10/10/2016 i purchased samsung s7 edge mobile in samsung smartphone cafe located in purasaiwakkam, chennai. Not even a month of purchase, the mobile display got damaged and i had it replaced in samsung service center located in kodambakkam, chennai. They charged around rs.990/- as the display was offered with one-time replacement warranty (Claim no. [protected]).
On june 2017, i noticed my mobile camera was not working properly after installing a software update as it stated _quotcamera could not start close other applications_quot and immediately i took my mobile to samsung service center which is located at annanagar (Near to my home). They took my mobile for service & informed me that they would need to revert the software back to its previous version in order to troubleshoot the camera issue. Next day i received a call from customer center that the camera is not working even after reverting the software so they informed me that the mobile has to be opened to check if any hardware problem and i accepted for it (As i don't have any clue on the issue). Later the same evening i received a call from the customer center stating the mobile seems to have water logged & that has caused the camera to malfunction. I was really shocked to hear the results they told me as i very well knew about ip68 rated s7 edge mobile and it's multiple protective features which had strongly recommended me to buy the mobile. I requested an explanation from the support executive but he refused and requested me to come directly to customer center to discuss on the issue. When i met the executive, he handed me the phone with display screen flickering and he explained that this might have happened due to water log. I was totally disappointed
With the service and i demanded an explanation why the display was flickering now but when i handed over the mobile earlier the only problem was with camera. After so much of argument, he came to a conclusion stating that the mobile was already been serviced earlier and they had not validated the checks properly after closing the panel hence i was requested to take the mobile to kodambakkam service center again to check the issue exists from their end (As no proper service was done earlier).
On 08/07/2017 i took my mobile to kodambakkam service center and handed over my mobile to the f2f engineer (Sivachandran) stating the above issue & camera not working as well (Bill no. [protected]). Couple of days later, i received a call from the customer support stating the mobile had been opened/serviced some where else and the panel was not closed properly so the mobile would not be taken for service. I explained that the mobile was taken to samsung customer center which is in annanagar earlier and told him the above scenario again but the f2f engineer who spoke to me was not kind enough to listen to my explanation and there started an argument. Later i went directly to the f2f engineer and i handed over the job receipt number which was given in annanagar customer center & claim receipt [protected] (Which was for display replacement). After looking into the receipts, the f2f engineer (Rudely) informed me that the mobile cannot be repaired here & i need to call samsung customer support to get this resolved (Which means the engineer was not ready to accept the mobile for repairing nor would provide any alternate solution). After so much of arguments between me & the engineer, i handed over the mobile to him & i informed that i will have this discussed to samsung customer support in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Later, i called up the samsung customer support @[protected] and explained everything what had happened before and slowly the problem ticket [protected] was prioritized and i was receiving several calls from the customer support. I kept explaining the same situation again & again to everyone who called me from samsung customer support and at last the ticket reached to a decision - making team, there an executive (Jayaram) handled my case. After a month & so, i was convinced & asked to pay 50 of the repair charges so that i would be getting my mobile at the earliest. At last, after so much of consideration that i haven't used my mobile for atleast 5 months hardly, i accepted the agreement to pay it partially.
Now, it has been more than 3 months, i haven't received my mobile neither an update regarding my case. Whenever i called the customer support, they informed me that they had sent a request for a particular part and it would take another one more week to get that done. I even called[protected] and they informed me that they had prioritized my ticket and had requested for an update from the customer center. Now, i have been informed that the ordered part was not available hence the mobile would never be repaired. When i requested for an alternate solution, the customer support executive who spoke to me said that i need to try getting it repaired in chennai bazaar without hesitating (I was dumbstruck). I was totally depressed about the comments & service provided by samsung customer support/center.
Several times i called samsung customer support (Even yesterday & today) and requested a status for my mobile but till now i haven't get any solution for the problem. I tried sending emails, live chat & contacting customer support but i never get a response from samsung end. I feel frustrated to keep calling the customer support again & again without any progress. I have enclosed the receipts which was given to me for the repair. Also i look forward to hearing from you immediately of receiving this mail. I would like this problem to be resolved as soon as possible. However, if this could not be resolved/repaired, let me know an alternate solution at the earliest.
If any of my friends/relatives are planning to buy a samsung product or if anyone ask me about the samsung product which i was using, how could i provide my valuable feedback on this brand. This kind of service set a very bad example & experience to me and i feel very unhappy for buying a samsung product which had given me a worst experience so far. I still look forward to get my mobile repaired since rs.50, 000/- is more valuable amount for me and my family hence request you to take necessary action on this case immediately.
