I had purchased samsung 5 in 1 refrigerator a year back. The manufacturer provides one year warranty. Just before completion of one year one fine day the refrigerator stops cooling. I made a complaint, a service person came to sniff around to check what exactly is wrong and informed me that the fan stopped working hence need to be replaced. It will take 10-15 days to get a replacement from samsung factory. After 10 days nothing happened, i made a service complaint again. Again service guy came to sniff around to check what is wrong, this time he is informing that the fan is working there is no gas in the system. Couple of days later a person comes spend about couple of hours and charges the gas. This has all happened in april 2017- may 2017. The refrigerator starts working after filling of gas. Now it is not even june is over, the ref has conked off again, this time they took two days, one to sniff around to find what is wrong and next day to refill the gas. This happened on 23rd june. 25th june, once again the ref conked off and no cooling.
Today again samsung's sniffer came & now informs that fan not working, gas choked, it will take some time to get fan since not in stock normally. Hence we do not know when the refrigerator will start working again.
Company was talking about attending the complaint within 24 hour which it does but comes for sniffing the problem and not to solve the same.
After spending my hard earned money on a samsung product which i should not have done after my bitter experience with samsung washing machine and led television. I now repent buying a samsung product.
In our younger days our parents used to say that the refrigerator in the corner was purchased 30 years ago but never stopped working. They used to look ugly but were workhorses. Now the refrigerators look smart but refuse to work beyond certain period and demand rest. I think they have been programmed it that way so that consumer need to buy a fresh one every 2-3 years.
